2 Hour wait , no thanks... Not what you know it's who you know to get in this place....
A local recommended this spot to us on the ferry to the island. It s a fun place to spend a few hours. Games, live music, and knowledgeable bartenders. We did multiple tastings, and I came away with wine and a good bottle of bourbon!
Great Beer, Great hangout spot. Food trucks on site with great eats. We went twice while on the island and would go again! Expect to wait in line on the weekend. Limiting tables to two hours to keep turnovers.
Staff wasn t too chatty but that could have the crowds and the COVID.
Total joke, tourists trap with horrid everything that's land locked.
Probably the coolest spot on the island!!
Fantastic beers and atmosphere.
They make some amazing drinks here. In the summer, there's always live music and a variety of food trucks. It also tends to get insanely busy which makes it so much less enjoyable. During the earlier hours on weekdays it's a nice place to go hang out and relax. The weekends feel more like a frat party.
One of the keys to making a perfect mixed drink is to have it not taste like alcohol. They accomplish this quite well here so it can be easy to have a little too much. Fortunately, they offer a private shuttle service between the brewery and town. Parking is limited so the shuttle service is highly recommended.
This is a terrific place! They make their own beer, wine and spirits and you can buy a glass of any onsite. The best part however, is that they don't serve food, so dogs are welcome! Things to know are that you should bring your own snacks, and they close early (7 pm).
Great beers, nice energised atmosphere (despite Covid restrictions). We tasted all IPAs, Pale Ales and the lager (we are not big fans of Scouts). All beers tasted good. It wouldn t be my favourite, but Gripah is really flavoursome beer, definitely try it.
During Covid you get a two hour slot for your table (which was enough time, unless you are an alcoholic).
Depending on time and date, you might need to wait in a queue before you get your table.
Don t forget to check out the souvenirs shop, but maybe rather before you drink beers, or you buy much more then you need.
Dogs are allowed.
The spot to enjoy drinks. Local food. Entertainment.
Great time, interesting people. Only issue is the smoking of cigarettes. Otherwise, great beer and drinks, friendly staff. Fun, fun, fun.
Great setup in response to social distancing. Tons of cool retail stuff, and great beer, too!
Superb beers, excellent people, and a great island vibe makes for a swell time.
The atmosphere is great- stands for the beer, wine, and liquor and food trucks all in an open air setting. The issue is price- there is a $10 cover and tours are $20. Beers are $7 for 14 oz.
Be prepared to wait in line 30+ minutes and watch people continuously cut the line because they know the owner...
Went to Cisco for the first time a few weeks ago and will not be going back until COVID is over (when social distancing is no longer required meaning no line). There was about a 30 minute wait in line to get in (no problem) standing in the hot sun which was probably about 40 people long. While waiting in line, we kept noticing people cutting the line (probably about 25-30 in total over the course of our wait). When we finally got to the front, I asked the hostess if they were taking reservations and how all those people were able to skip the line. The response: "we don't take reservations. they either know the owners or managers." There are only a certain amount of tables and your maximum stay is capped at 2 hours, so the "VIP" cutting the line makes is MUCH longer than it has to be. Very unfair to the rest of the paying customers who have to wait in line. Poor customer service in my book
Great place, good food and drinks and a very nice setting.
Terrible, rude employees, gave them my license and was instantly told it was fake. Wouldn t give my ONLY license back to me so I told them to call the cops to run the license. Ed insisted I d be arrested, he called the cops but they never came. Just wanted to have a good time and experience this part of Nantucket. After waiting for the cops to never come the license was given to me and I was told they would never serve me with that license so I guess I ll never be going back, which is ok because I ll never be going back. I understand being thorough but you shouldn t deny someone with a real license access because your too lazy to go through the process. Thanks for wasting my time Cisco.
Cisco Brewery is a must stop when on Nantucket! It has a wonderful, fun, relaxed atmosphere with live music and friendly people! Oh, and the beer is top notch! I never miss a chance to go when on the island.
Small place but with good food and drink options. Only downside not really a lot of seating options especially in a hot summer day. Otherwise it s a must to visit if you are on Nantucket. There is a free van driving back and forth to downtown.
Great beer. A bit expensive at $7 for a small glass but it's a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Great BEER !!! Live music and a fun afternoon always ! It your visiting the Island for the day you need to stop in try the beer and food . Great afternoon
Beer
Booze
Food
Outdoor Greatness
Ummmm what else do you need to have???
Great beer and spirits, even better staff! 13/10 would come again!
A great place to go with friends! Brewery, winery, and distillery all in one - plus tons of food truck options - what's not to love? It was a great place to go for the afternoon and I wish we could have stayed there all day!!
This is a great little brewery that has a tower for $20. The tower includes a couple of samples from the 3 company's (wine, beer & spirit's) and you get to keep the souvenir tasting glass at the end of it. There website dosen't give you nearly enough information so for details I would call them.
Heard it was a must try when on island and did not disappoint. Dank O Rama is the bomb!
3 stars due to pandemic. Definitely less fun than years past. 2 hour limit and the waiters seem to take a bit to find you time and time again, so better plan ahead and order 2 at a time!
Been coming here for 6 summers now to acquire beer while on vacation, never dissapoints....
Employees would not allow me to be with my brother s wedding party because I am 20. I never even attempted to drink and I handed him a valid ID, but the employees were very snarky. They wouldn t let me in without my parents until finally after having members of the wedding convince the manager to let me in. The wedding party of 40 definitely will never come here for any wedding events of their own! Very upsetting to be treated so poorly.
Good brews, entertainment and atmosphere. A frequent stop for us.
Great beer and great atmosphere. A must-stop if you're on the island. Always have to take a few cases back home with me. It's really good beer, if you can get it.
My favorites afternoons on Nantucket are always at the brewery!
I took the wave out towards Cisco Brewers, and it was about a 15 minute walk down a nice bike trail to get there. The last 100 yards or so has you on the street a bit. There was a line to get in when I arrived, but it moved pretty quick and in 20 minutes or so I was at a table. It's a fun farm like atmosphere but with COVID restrictions, you are kind of sitting at your table unless going to the bathroom or ordering food. Drinks are brought to you and service can be hit or miss. There were 3 food trucks when I visited, Millie's, lobster pound and a raw bar. I settled on a chicken quesadilla $11 from Millie's and my friend got a pork taco $8. They have Cisco Brewers and a distillery on sight offering up cocktails. Fun visit while in Nantucket!
Free shuttle from town with informative driver don who gave the lay of the Land. Great atmosphere and fantastic drinks. Tried the 12 year notch. Expensive at 50 but was a toast to grandfather who loved scotch. Froze special drink and b blue haired lady we're great. Did not eat so couldn't rate 5 stars. Would recommend to anyone for a fun end to a day
If Carlsberg is probably the best beer in the world , I would describe Cisco as probably the most pretentious beer in the world
This place has a distillery a brewery and a winery. Do the tour it is worth it. They recently were bought out so i was able to go on the weekend before they officially and legally got bought out. They have outdoor seating and really cool merchandise. They sometimes bring bands to the spot. Parking if driving is a little far if writing a moped scooter than park on the side of the entrance. The bartenders are great.
Nice tasting of good wine and great beer! Grey Lady is excellent!:-)
Lively crowd. Alot of people, several choices for food and drink. Jazz band was great.
Really cool place to people watch and have some great beer or cocktails.
Very nice place! Problem that the cell phone signal is terrible. I had a lot of trouble accessing rideshare app. They could put a wifi signal.
Nice spot for good brews and listening to live music
This place was highly recommended to us. From line--it looked so fun, energy was good, staff seemed cool.
Bummed because we waited an hour and half in line only to have to leave...we could not wait any longer if we wanted to grab a quick last drink somewhere and make the ferry.
I'm not sure if the line was due to COVID restrictions? But if you're only in Nantucket for the day, I'd call first and ask about the line. Also, be mindful of transport back to town if you do not have time to walk or bike.
What a great place! Tasted some awesome wines and beer. Food truck served great seafood. What an awesome find. Very fun!!
Great beers and cocktails with food trucks and live music in a rustic atmosphere.
One of the best local bars we have come across in our travels. Nicest people, pet and kid friendly. Met several really nice locals. We will be back
Really good beer and spirits. Food trucks offer a variety.
Watch out for the sound guy - total douchebag! If you can't hear the band's singer, suck it up and shut up because the sound guy does not want to hear you tell him how to do his job, even if he sucks at it.
I came to Cisco during covid and there was a long line but we decided to wait it out because it seemed like it was moving fast. An hour passed and we were up at the front and so excited for our beer when they started letting people who had just arrived go in before us. After an hour more of watching people walk in before me that didn t have to wait I finally got in, awful business policy. Only go here if you want to waste your time.
Friendly people and bartenders. Like a beer and cocktail carnival!
Such a great place! Would go back again in a heartbeat, for friendly service, great drinks, and delish food truck fare.
Amazing atmosphere, culture, people and beverages. I ve been to many breweries & wineries all over the world & Cisco is my favorite. Thanks for the ride into town and for the outstanding hospitality Tyler! We ll see you again this summer; let me know if you ever need a flight.
I grew up on Cape Cod but now live in Central Mass. Going to Cisco Brewery on Nantucket has been on my "summer goal list" for a few years. I finally made it there in mid-August. We went to Jettys Sand Bar for lunch then rode the bikes about 4 miles to get to Cisco. On a day with the heat index over 90 and not a cloud in the sky boy did the Gripah drafts taste good! They had free water as well for the families. There is a nice bike path you can pick up outside Nantucket proper. BRING YOUR ID! I graduated college over 30 years ago and they checked my ID so bring it along. I went mid day on a Thursday and the brewery was packed. I imagine the weekends are wild. Picked up a nice Cisco sticker in the gift shop with a map of Nantucket I now have on my Jeep. A day I will never forget. Make sure to get over to ACK for this experience ASAP!
The brewery has an outside beer garden. It is perfect to have beer here after a little work out (bicycling). Relaxing.
Came on a Sunday in mid-November and there were only a handful of people around. We were able to take our time trying a flight of samples, and the staff was friendly. Also loved that its dog friendly, so I got to pet some pups while I sipped my beer. It's quite a bit outside of town, but they also have a shuttle that runs hourly to take you to and from town, so there are no excuses not to visit!
Great place to go and hang out. Chill vibe, ,and easy going atmosphere
On a cold rainy day on Nantucket, with our two friendly (soaking wet) Corgis, this was the friendliest joint on the island. It was busy, and steaming, and loud, and muddy-wet in places. But everyone the (free!) shuttle driver, the bartenders, the merch girl who bent over backwards to find me something I liked, the food truck guys who took our picture, the distillery tour guide, and all the other visitors (who doted on the dogs) was helpful, cheerful, and hustling. And the beer was excellent!
Bring a jacket as there is not really an "indoor" area. But great beer and music !
Super fun, good beer and drinks. Good trucks have some great options for everyone.
Lots of food trucks, good food, good drinks, and a amazing atmosphere.
Amazing ambiance and awesome vibe! A brewery, vineyard, and distillery (vodka, rum, whiskey) all in one. I certainly recommend this place. Go and spend your afternoon here, you won't regret it.
P.s. the beach is a bicycle ride away
Great time, atmosphere, and band at tasting area!! with about 8 good food trucks..was skeptical about bringing the kids but they had a blast. Lot of fun.
Had a great vibe and atmosphere. Diverse crowd and a lot going on. The drinks were reasonably priced, and tasted great! The only downside I would say is that some of the staff are rude and have attitudes. The bouncer bent my ID to the point where it almost broke, and we got kicked out of the establishment at 7:10 when we were served drinks at 7:02. We can't have more than 8 minutes to enjoy our drinks? Other than that, it's a fun place.
Option for wine, beer and cocktails! Lobster Trap food truck was an added bonus!! Was worth the walk from the bus stop.
Nice settings with a great crowd and nice entertainment
Great place to hang out and enjoy a couple drinks. Brought the kids and they loved dancing to the live music.
Meh. Spent an hour there and didn't get a single comment on my $7,500 Hermes handbag.
#peasants
Good beer and nice facility to enjoy all 3 products. A bit unfriendly staff but heck its touristy there too...
Beer, booze, rock and roll and .... babies. A bit too child friendly.
Wow, it was worth the wait to get in. Great upbeat service, music, drinks and food. Reasonably priced. You can go with a friend or family.or even bring your dog. Great setup for all ages
This was the only place we wanted to see in Nantucket. Past reviews said a 50 minute walk NOT true. Figure a hour plus. The brewery it s self was ok. Nothing special waiter tried taking our food when we were still eating grabbed the box our food was in. We tried to get a cab back to the ferry but either no one answered or would not come. So plan if your walking it is a long walk over a hour and hot. It s not just a bike path. It s going along narrow streets with no side walk not very walking friendly.
Even in the time of covid, Cisco is still making it an amazing experience!!
Good beer, very cool location. Young hip crowd. Also make cocktails and have wine
Wow, if you haven't been to this kick ass compound on the island, get ready for a treat! This place has a distillery and winery on site to go along with a very respectable line of craft beer.
Great job reopening. Looking forward to going back.
