Since they opened the Mexican Grand Prix I had not returned to COTA, I found many changes for good, I had a great time, as always everything very well organized, lots of entertainment everywhere, super friendly people and excellent atmosphere, highly recommended to come.

Enjoyed the 2017 F1 race from the grandstand in turn 9. Great racetrack since the elevation changes allow you to see a lot of the track from any point.
Parking could be better but okay for a busy race weekend.

Went for the last X Games, and had an easy time wandering around the site. Really enjoyed that the track was stocked with Austin's local food trucks, including Torchy's and Amy's. Got pretty hot, so be prepared if going to a summer activity. Motorcycle parking was free when I went, so may be worth checking if you ride. Find a reason to check it out at least once!

The physical circuit is really nice. Visited for the Formula 1 Grand Prix and was seated in Bleachers at Turn 4. Excellent view and good value for money. The $40 champagne & fast track trip up the Observation tower was also excellent value. However, that's where my positives end.

The infrastructure during the F1 weekend was very poor. Despite there being a concert on Saturday evening at 8pm, many of the food stalls had run out of food. The large Pizza Hut near the main entrance appeared to close as soon as Qualifying finished at 5pm. It generally felt unfinished as a venue. I appreciate rain is unusual in Austin, but I didn't expect to need wellies in order to use some of the toilets. Paths were incomplete and we got back to our hotel quite dirty.

Signage within the Super Stage was also very unclear and we inadvertently ended up in the wrong queue. It appears they were selling "concert only" tickets, which we also found disappointing. At other circuits, you need to have a race ticket to see the concert. In my opinion, this meant that there were too many people and those who had full weekend tickets found it hard to get a good spot or even IN on time because "concert only" people had been queueing since before Qualifying started at 4pm. Because of our experience on Saturday, we didn't stick around for Sunday's concert. If they're going to continue with concerts (which they should), they need to learn how it's done in Abu Dhabi.

The circuit recommended Uber as an efficient way of travelling, but the roads simply couldn't cope. Advance booking Uber (or Lyft for the matter) seemed pointless, as drivers wanted to take advantage of surge pricing, which at one point pushed my journey up from $21 to $96. When you did order one, they'd cancel on you because of the lengthy traffic delays getting in/out of the designated drop-off/pick-up point. (I have some recommendations on that which I intend to email the circuit about directly, as I have some experience in this field!) There's also absolutely nothing around the venue. It truly is in the middle of nowhere. You can't escape the queues to leave by grabbing some dinner or going to a bar, cos there aren't any! Not even a hotel.

Overall, I was disappointed. It's the 6th venue I've visited for an F1 event, and it's 6th on my list of venues I would return to.

The facility is amazing, the various items they hold are varying though. The track is amazing, the spectator area is awful. There is no ounce of shade at this facility so it becomes unbearably hot in the sweet summers of Texas. There are so many events here during the summer there should be some shade for people to take from passing out. The parking is not very good, a majority of the "regular" ticket holders are made to park at the ends of the earth in the grass etc. Where there are many open spots up front that are hardly ever used for most events except for F1. The track is tremendous feat to walk around, so it's highly not recommended. There should be a mode of transportation to get people from parking spots to the front gate and around the track. They have recently started to have water bottle filling stations, but we should be offering sunscreen stations as well to. I highly think there should be chair rentals for those that get GA tickets versus having to carry them around all day. The concerts are great though, the music is great. There is always a great selection of food trucks in the area for all sorts of events. The bathrooms are always a good amount and there is always enough.

COTA is a wonderful facility, I ve always had a great time for F1. Lots of fun people from around the world, extremely fast cars, and a decent selection of food and drinks. My only gripe is with the parking. It seems every year it slightly changes. Lot Q is great but it s only for Sunday not Saturday and Friday.

I've been to COTA for both F1 and WEC. The WEC race offered a lot of access to the pits and drivers and not too crowded allowing great views of the racing and engineering that goes into it. Many food options and plentiful and clean restrooms made the event a great pleasure. The F1 race was MUCH MORE crowded and a very different experience, but still a great way to see incredible automotive engineering. Either way, interesting track makes for great racing.

If you'ra a racing fan, I urge you to go to any form of racing at this circuit. A steep incline to the blind left turn one is amazing. A long back straight and a triple apex turn compliment this circuit as well. There's a veiwing tower that gives you full view of the track. The staff and volunteers were all amazing.

The karting track is super fun. It's challenging enough to be fun for many races. Each "race" is about 10 laps and is really just a time attack. The course avg is about 60 seconds and the more experienced lightweight drivers were hitting the 57's consistently. I will do this again.

Circuit of the America's (COA) S.E. Austin, desolate: HUGE property...most parking is far far away...have shuttles in downtown near convention center ($20) roundtrip (saw Taylor Swift Concert there-fabulous) (I saw a motorcycle race: study track layout on web before buying tickets: choose seats near the hot action bends / corners. I loved the smell of racing fuel exhaust...gunpowder ?
Ink black night (bring flashlights) remember where you parked your vehicle.
At the end of the show, you cover more turf walking than the exiting vehicles...thus, I recommend using the shuttle busses.
...buy COA event tickets far in advance from their website...
If you are from outside of town, how about staying for a while, and become a tourist. There are loads of free things to experience.
Y'all have a Blast !

Love this place. So many different events. Went for the Ferrari Corse Clienti event with the Ferrari Challenge. Got to get up close with the cars, go out on Pit Road, open seating, and the best part? The whole event was free with free parking. We did have to pay for paddock access, but worth it.

Our most favorite place in TX! we visit very year and it gets better and better! we'd like to see a formula 1 race but working on it! the grounds themselves are okay a hike to get to from the upper parking lots. they do have a shuttle and that's helpful. could stand more choices for food shops but it's all good.
until next 2018 MotoGP!

Truly a one of a kind experience as this is the only F1 track in the United States. While f1 is the main event here every year, the other events that occur here are as fun AND offer great opportunities to interact with drivers from other races.

I went to the 2017 edition of the FIA World Endurance Championship Six Hours of Circuit of The Americas (aka Lone Star Le Mans) for the first time (Been a long time fan of endurance racing) on Friday September 15th and Saturday September 16th.

All the track volunteers and staff were very courteous and EXTREMELY helpful when I approached to ask them a question or for assistance, this is one of the reasons that made my race day experience a pleasant one.

I would also like to say the organizers of this event the FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile, International governing body of motorsports) & ACO (Automobile Club de l'Ouest, organizers of the World Endurance Championship and the 24 hours of Le Mans), made this event very fan friendly, with the pit lane/grid walk and the autograph session before the grid walk.

Also, the paddock was open throughout the event, so you could walk the paddock during practice, race and qualifying and get to talk to some of the crews who happen to be working out back, this is assuming they are not on the pit crew and have to run off for a pit stop (Which, being a race fan I would understand since they have a job to do).

Free Seating in the premium grandstands (Main, Turn 1 and Turn 15) was well worth it. Turn 1 and Turn 15 are the grandstands to go to for photo ops. The only minor complaint is, both these grandstands are uncovered, so be prepared to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated in the September Austin Heat (I personally didn't last long in the turn 1 and turn 15 grandstands, but I did last long enough to get some photos).
The main grandstand had covered box seating and as the sun went down the rest of the main grandstand became shady.

Last but not least, the race was very affordable 3 days of racing for $79.

All in all my first WEC race was EXTREMELY enjoyable, I definitely will be back for another WEC event in Austin in the very near future.

Incredible facility! Awesome amount of parking, restrooms and food services. Eazy to get in and out of the event space and quick access to the toll road. Very convenient for both Austin and San Antonio.

Went for the 2019 formula 1 race and had a great time. Be prepared to walk a lot. There are some shuttles to take you to different places around the track. But it's fun to explore everything the track had to offer. Gonna try and go again next year!

One of the rare runways that are counter-clockwise is the enormous structure with sections of Sector 1 and Sector 2 and the wonderfully unusual bends resembling the Suzuka Grandprix in Japan. It is a track with very hard bends and "U" turns.

I had a fantastic time at the Moto GP and was proud to have a world class circuit right here in our great state. Be prepared to do some serious schlepping though. Take sunscreen, comfy kicks, and plenty of dough. Be prepared to peel off some serious lettuce. $9 for a Stella. Well worth it to meet folks from all over the world and see some cray-zee cats on 2 million dollar bikes zoom past at 230 miles per hour. GO TEAM PRAMAC/DUCATI!

Well,I was there but didnt get farther than the security gate. I was just delivering some food to some clients of ours. I have to say that i did want to go see the cars going around the track but hearing them was just as good. Maybe next year I will come to see the racing.

Love coming here, they do such a great job hosting race and other events here. The place to be, if you like car racing and no bad seats anywhere, plenty of good views. One of the nicest race tracks I have been too. Parking on the other hand might cause you to walk pretty far and the the road leading up to the race track can get back up pretty easily. Highly recommend taking the trip out to see the race track. Also keep in mind, the sun can be brutal, make sure that you have on plenty of sunscreen and wear a large hat. And thank you to the Circuits of America for supporting Vets.
