I love the happy hour here. The margaritas are delicious and the bar offers free chips, salsa, queso and ground beef so you can make your own nachos! The regular menu is awesome, too. The green chile tacos are yummy and I really like their cilantro rice. Great fun atmosphere too.
This is my top 5 favorite places to eat out. Great food, free chips and dip. Nice crowd, friendly and efficient staff. Tex-Mex done right!
I love me some chuy's. Staff is always great. Very consistent tex mex. If you don't want to try nothing new and just go out to eat knowing the food will be good this is the place. The jalepeno ranch is worth the visit.

When in Austin, you need to make a stop at Chuy's....come hungry! The service is extremely attentive and friendly. They don't scrimp on extras like chips, salsa and all the queso! Food is good and the Texas Margarita is amazing!

How often do you see Elvis themed Tex Mex restaurants? Chuy's is just that. The atmosphere is very hole in the wall with Elvis themed decorations everywhere. It is a little bit cheesy but fun. Food and drinks are decent, definitely nothing amazing but for a cheap dinner, it is a fun experience.
best TexMex in Austin. one thing you have to enjoy about Chuys is how they decorate. The place looks amazing and I always enjoy going. They have good food and I've never left hungry. Though I will admit I order one of the combo plates and its really enough food for a couple people. Its encouragement to take a long walk/run. I love going during happy hour when they have the queso bar open. ground beef, beans, cheese... are you hungry yet?

Yesterday I was there celebrating a birthday party with 10 of my friends and after pay with my credit card I notice the chip of it damage with some scratches and Therefore I couldn t use it in another places because the didn t care of it correctly and it was embarrassing when I tried to pay with I couldn t for this situation.

My meal and drinks at the bar, the night of a big football game in Austin, were wonderful! I can t remember their names but the bartenders took such great care of me, and other staff were warm and friendly when picking up their drink orders. Great experience!
Usually really fresh, hot and excellent service all together....this time was different. Our server G., admitted that the grills were turned off and may take some time to come on, but what was strange was that our food was handed out appx 10 min after that..Once I sampled my enchiladas they were cold and undercooked. The drinks were sugary and hardly any alcohol. Stick to lunch or a busier time. Cooks, servers, food become crappy outside of these times it seems.

Its an Austin staple with a pretty sizable food portions for your money for good Tex-Mex. Plus its close to Zilker if you need a quick eat from the park.

A very populated Chuy's location, there are a few in the Austin area, but I'm sure this one gets a lot of traffic. I've always had a good experience here, the parking is a tad bit of a pain but it id downtown none the less so I'm not surprised by it. I typically think Chuy's is a good chain place to go to. The chips are thin and cripsy. The service is always good.

The original Chuy's on Barton Springs has never disappointed in the 20+ years we have been going there. Love the consistency, and our waitress, Julia, was attentive. The wait staff works as one to give the customer the best experience possible.

Holy cow the jalapeno ranch sauce here! It's free and delicious. I always order the steak fajita burrito with boom boom sauce. Yes, boom boom sauce, a spicy queso that I highly recommend. Chuy's has delicious food with fair pricing, and is a great place for a meal with friends or family.

I die for their Veggie Enchilada smothered with Boom Boom sauce and a slice of Avocado. Also the Tres Leches is a total winner.
Waitress was polite. I think we just saw the reviews and had high expectations. It wasn't bad, it just lacked a little. A bit bland, it needed more seasoning that was better mixed throughout the meat. Chicken was okay. Not a long wait and food came out quickly.
Good was not as good as usual. Waiter brought wrong enchiladas. The wait was longer than usual as well.

The food is very good here. Made fresh. It s no wonder it stays as busy as it is. I got the Elvis Memorial Combo and that has plenty of food to fill you up and it s worth the price. The atmosphere is comfortable. Great from a single person to a large group. There s a bar and you ll see many college age people there.
