Lunch was great. Menu severely limited, chairs not 6ft apart
Great place for a beer. Good food. A little loud but fun.
Service great food was hot and fresh waiter on point
It's a great place but it's hard to get the attention of the wait people because they are having so much fun together. Go ahead and have fun but pay attention to us also.
Great bartenders. Good drinks good food. Funny t-shirts.
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder and if you don't believe this is a thing, then move some place that doesn't have a Chuy's and once you are reunited with that jalapeno ranch love you will finally understand that saying.
This location is always a busy location but it does not take a way from the awesome service provided. We were actually sat a lot quicker than the quoted time and our server was prompt, friendly and attentive.
The food was absolutely perfect like always. Locations outside of Austin never quite get the Boom-Boom sauce spice correct. Boom-Boom sauce = life y'all. Try it and then thank me for the life changing experience you will have after eating it.
Chuy's is one of my favorite Tex-Mex restaurants and Austin of course does it best with this location being one of the best of the best of the best, Sir!
If you are wanting Tex-Mex at an Austin institution, this is one chain you need to check out.
I have 4 words to describe this place, Chika-chika boom-boom!!
Good Tex Mex food, fair prices, powerful margaritas, a friendly staff and a bustling atmosphere! What more could you ask?
Good place, good food. The place never disappoints and they serve great margaritas.
I'm old austin, folks -- creamy jalepeno will always taste like home to me
An Austin original. I can get my Chuy"s fix outside of Austin and even the state, but there's something better about it the closer you are to Barton Springs Road. I don't care for the updated menus. It will only be a matter of time before they don't remember what a number 1 is.
This restaurant has surpassed my previous favorite for Tex-Mex cuisine.
It's my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant I've ever been to, and it's full of volume and very delicious.
There are about 5 seating areas, but when I went there for lunch on the weekend, it was so successful that it was almost full.
It will take some time for the food to be cooked, but I didn't feel any discomfort at all because he asked me to order a drink before choosing a dish and brought salsa chips at the same time.
Recommended items are listed in green letters on the menu table, so there is no doubt that you will order it.
On this day, two adults shared the following items, but they were so full that they couldn't eat them all.
Torrilla Soup small $ 4.59
Comida Deluxe $ 11.29
There are also outside seats, so it is recommended to enjoy a leisurely meal or drink on a sunny day.
We had a group of 11 and seated ourselves in the bar. We had good service and delicious food. Creamy jalapeno sauce is fabulous! Great queso compuesto (sp?), but sadly it was not hot. I had crispy tacos which were barely warm/almost cold; good flavor though.
PERFECT TEX MEX! As usual....took friend from Idaho and she now wants Chuy's to come up there! Great service! Frozen HH FRita's were the best....fresh food and salsas. Everything and Everyone was buzzing around as the place was hopping busy! Keep it up guys!
Lackluster waitors, stalled service and bland details. The servers kept forgetting simple orders, there were flies buzzing everywhere and it makes any poor man's kitchen look far more appealing. At least Fuzzys Tacos doesn't claim to be great Tex Mex.
We go to this Chuy's often. The food and drinks are great. Service though can be very miss. In the bar area, we waited 10 min to flag down a waitress who wasn't ours to order drinks. The actual waitress brought our drinks and forgot our menus. We had to ask 3 times total. That is ridiculous. Parking is also an issue.
Nice place, ALWAYS a wait and pretty much always very noisy but it typical Chuy's, great tex-mex! Not a fan of their salsa as it is more like pico de gallo than salsa but thats a personal preference! Still a great place to eat!
Very busy for dinner tonight. For a group & even with a table reservation, 45 wait. Long wait for food. Sassy host staff but sensational wait staff
We had a very large party and the service and quality of food was still amazing.
It was good! Had the chicken flautas. They were awesome, and yiu gotta get the creamy jalepeno dip.
Great Food, service and atmosphere!!! We sat outside and it was amazing!!!
Ordering a to-go order was easy over the phone. When I arrived to pick up the food it was utter chaos. There were four kids working at the front who had no idea where the to-go person was. They would not or could not ring up my order. They just sat there counting menus and chatting with each other while I slowly began to lose my mind. I asked one of them to go find the to-go person. She refused. She made a little note and then continued to be a complete waste of space and oxygen. Every time I leave this location I leave angry because of the lack of coherent service. Everyone appears to be busy but nothing seems to be getting done. Taco bell takes longer but that makes sense since they are chronically understaffed. Chuy's has plenty of employees milling around that could be doing the work. Apparently they just choose not to.
It was crowded and had a lively atmosphere that made the crowd a good thing (oddly enough)
Quick service. Great nachos and tortilla soup tonight
Wonderful service. Wonderful food. Add Boom-boom and avocado to everything!!!
The food here is always good, and the staff is always very nice! The margaritas here are delicious- get the strawberry if you've got a sweet tooth!
Perfect jalapeno ranch, and the queso is great.
Love the food and drinks as always. My 11yo was being stubborn and didn t order with the rest of us but ordered maybe 10 minutes later and still got her food right after ours. Great team!
Great dining experience and awesome service. The food was delicious and our server was very attentive. We will definitely be returning. Two thumbs way up!!
I would give them a 5. But......to start off my order is always different (special) so it is never right the 1st time I get it. But in our previous experiences at other Chuy's locations (barton springs/north lamar) it always took them. 15-20 min to get my plate back correctly and at this location it took only 3 min. My partners food was still warm when my plate came back out. The waiter we had was on top of everything. Our drinks, chips, salsa and jal ranch were always being filled. This is by far the best experience we have had at Chuy's in a couple of years!!!! Our waiter Aaron was awesome and verrrry friendly and did a verrrrry outstanding job.
Always great. The waiter was awesome. Busy place though so the wait was a little long.
Every time I have eaten there, the food was delicious and the servers are friendly and attentive.
We sat at the bar and had good service, margs and the food was delicious as always!
Great food and atmosphere love their beef fajitas and creamy jalepeno dip.
My to-go order has been cancelled 3 separate times. Each time, after placing an order, AFTER WAITING AN HOUR, I ve received this message: restaurant no longer taking orders . Also - Favor is frustrating.
a must visit in Austin, the food is excellent, generous, and the beer is flowin!
I was missing some items from my to go order and was upset because I did not find out until I was home. I called back and asked for the mistake to be corrected. Madison was an excellent host and went above and beyond to correct my order. Thank you!
This is one of our go-to favorite restaurants. Great food, attentive service, and three Pokestops!
Good place for Tex mex. Food was excellent. Large burritos and fajitas. Homemade tortilla station. Cheese queso dip is hard to stop eating. The pick de Gallo salsa is fresh made and one of the best I ve had. Despite being a chain, the quality is very good. I highly recommend
Margaritas were good
Chica chica boom boom enchiladas were excellent
This is one of the best tex mex restaurant ever, why because its got a wide variety of menue items. I got the chicken tacos.
I was taken to the Chuys location by friends in town a very nice place.
Great food. Unsure why all the olives are stuffed with jalapenos? Great queso
Chuy's is one of my favorite Tex-Mex places in Austin. I usually get the bean and cheese burrito (vegetarian option). It is very good and quite a ton of food for the price.
It's just great food and great customer service every time!
The food and service are great. They have a hatch fest in late summer with lots of delicious dishes. The wait is almost always long and it gets pretty noisy, not for the hard of hearing.
I think Julie's is one of the most authentic Tex-Mex restaurants in Atlanta the atmosphere is great the food is above average the pricing is good great place for kids
Loved their queso sauce and the fresh chips... The ambience is spot on and apparently everything is freshly made from scratch... The chicken appetizer plate is also awesome. Only regret we had is that the lemonade as mentioned in the menu was not freshly squeezed but from a machine
The Chili Rellenos are to die for. Seriously. HEB and Chuy's are the only public places I considered going to during the shutdown, and chance contracting the virus for. I know they have other great items, but the ground beef rellenos, and double green chili rice is the only thing I order. Why change Perfection!
Giving this place 10 out of 5 stars!
This place is usually good but this time around their burrito was really bad, less meat than usual.
Food is always good, and the wait are always worth it.
Service was great, food was great. Only complaint was it was so loud I couldn't have a normal conversation with the person sitting across from me, the music was too loud causing everyone to talk loudly to be heard, even the bathroom was loud.
Consistently good Tex-Mex, regardless of location. The stacked blue corn enchiladas are a tasty staple, I usually go for the flautas or the fajita tacos. For me the mixed drinks are a bit overpriced, so I stick with the Shiner Bock.
