Lovely gallery, really great layout. Only downside - the 2pm tour guide didn t arrive so I couldn t learn more about the history of the exhibitions.

Striking building, pleasant outdoor plaza, with monumental sculpture to enjoy

Always has interesting exhibitions. The free guided tours put on at times are great too.

Personally we found the interpretation was all about the artist and too little about the art. The galleries are spacious and quiet, and the shop is marvellous, so it's not all bad!

Worth your while free for all, had intetesting discussions about the displayed art with the art gallery personal.

Very friendly staff and some interesting art to keep my daughter and I busy for an hour or so.

Well curated and fascinating exhibition. Late nights are accessible for all ages and performances, music and food trucks are an added bonus.

A friendly reception lady named Kate greeted me with can t you hear?! I was very confused.

Although not all the exhibits are open at the time, some great Maori related works are on display

Take a short tour and enjoy the in depth knowledge of the guide. Not just on some of the displays but also on the history and survival of the building.

Lots of cool shows, would be great to see more M ori and female artists represented

Free tickets, most of the exhibits can be photographed, great ~ remember to go to the counter to send bags before the show ~

Nice and modern place, if you like the theme you should stop by to stop and then continue touring the city

Free entrance and the art is well putted. Modern place and beautiful pieces of work.

Apparently they don't like when you add moustaches and glasses to things. Who knew?

Architecturally very good building. Changing exhibitions on two levels and a total of four rooms. We were there for the second time and are thrilled. A visit is definitely worthwhile and is free of charge. Donations are welcome.

A great variety of exhibitions from contemporary to classic genres. Needed more time to see and appreciate it all.

Excellent range of work. The perfect space to meander slowly, whilst wearing a black turtleneck - imagining you're a pretentious art student. Love it.

So many interesting and inspiring art works. If you are art lover then must visit. Loved it.

really nice place ... calm and quiet... enjoy my day with art.

Their permanent collection felt stale. But obviously that's just my opinion as I love contemporary and abstract paintings. But it is great having art works available to see, and only enriches humanity. In a time humanity seems to have strayed very far from their path.

Its. Not a huge Art Gallery, but its nice done. And you also have free wifi there and places to chill and enjoy the art. They have classical art as well as modern.

Lovely to wander around seeing the various exhibitions. Glad they have lots of seating around as I needed it having a disability so thanks for that.

Great space for all ages especially in wet days located in central city close to botanical garden, museum, and art centre. Ample parking around the building, coat check buggy check services available. Cafe and shops on site. Regularly have New events going on great place for kids.

It's nice here I always feel a tad underwhelmed by the volume or lack of art work as I'm from Europe and used to being super exposed, however the design of building works well is very pleasant to walk round and a great area at the bottom for kids to sit and let loose with some puzzles etc. It's great for a meander and I have yet to go I to a private exhibition hopefully soon worth a trip

Love exhibits that show nz.artists emerging from a sort of euroArtsoup....especially the M.Paeroiki Black Bull on Piano ....beaut gift to ch.ch.
