Nice building but cutation needs a rocket as some works arent changed from one year to another. Expensive shop.

Went on a school trip. Teachers were great at taking children round and doing activities with them

Recommend to take free tour at 11.00 or 14.00. Great experience

Surprise visit by New Zealand's prime minister made our day. Art us interesting too.

Great visit for young and old. Lovely space and a free day out. I'm local and I still can't believe the gallery is free. It really is excellent value. Something for everyone. Very friendly staff. We had a school trip, and the classroom and program they provided was of excellent quality.

Less art here than I expected due to the building's size but that which is here is very impressive.

If you have 2-3 hours , nothing to do, you can go to art gallery , and that has a coffee shop

Amazing architecture and wide range of thought provoking and modern and usual works.

Well worth the visit if in and around Christchurch.

Some really exquisite artworks on display, but some displays are a joke, I feel some "artists" are making a fool out of the gallery.

Great place to spend the afternoon, added bonus of free entry.

Awesome gallery! It s beautiful from the outside and the inside enables you to see a lot of amazing art, most of it for free! The gift shop is full of nicely designed homeware, giftware, art stuff, books and more. And the restaurant / bar joined on also looks amazing but haven t dined there yet so that will come in another review... Recommend an Art Day Out at this impressive gallery!

Very restful lovely space like chicken man very real

I don't know much about art but I enjoyed my visit to this gallery. It was modern and clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Particularly enjoyed the Cerith Wyn Evans exhibition
