Choice recovery violates people rights, and make false charges on people .... you guys say that you all are a third party. And my charges comes from else where. but you guys are the only one that s claiming i have a balance with. No other business are saying I owe them. It showing you guys as the creditor. And it s appearing in black and white print that I owe choice recovery which is false.
I am very thankful the way my phone call with Reed went. He was so helpful and understanding. He broke down everything to me. On how to pay (phone, website or bu mail) and when I would receive the email 24/48 hours (removal from credit report, paid in full). I appreciate that. I m in the process of buying a house and he also wished me luck in the buying process. Thank you again Reed! Now I m just waiting on the email that shows it will be removed!
Ask them to mail u a contract with your signature and 1 of their reps that says u owe Choice Recovery. Of course they don't have 1. They purchased a debt from a Dr or hospital for cheap and want to charge u more. This means they paid it off for u. Ask to remove it from your credit.
The person I spoke with made the payment process super easy! I always dread making calls like these, especially when I owe money, but I left this call with a smile on my face and feeling good! I didn t have an account number but they were able to pull up my information quickly. I appreciated James help and am very satisfied with his service. The call only took 5 minutes!
Is it weird that I didn t want my collection call to end??? LIAM POWELL IS LITERALLY THE BEST. He was genuinely so helpful, kind and has such a fantastic personality. He was very informative and worked hard to make the payment plan as easy as possible. Can I write a book on this mans customer service? Because I could and will. He is truly one of the top 3 BEST customer service representatives I have ever dealt with. LOVED working with him. The best. And I mean it. (If you see this Liam, 10/10, keep being you!!! You rock!!!)
Unfortunately Choice Recovery showed up on my credit report with derogatory marks. Two of them opened in my name but quickly removed because it was a mistake. The bad part is that it still affected my credit score.
Medical bills came up on my credit report that I wasn t aware of. I d heard horror stories about debt collectors so I was hesitant about calling them. The employee I worked with was very helpful and treated me respectfully. I was very impressed with the level of customer service. I would not hesitate to work with this company again.
Choice Recovery was great! They helped me complete my claim and pay online. Wade was very friendly and even wished me a happy belated birthday, - Great personal touch and customer service! Thank you Choice Recovery!
I am reading all of the complaints about this company. As someone who works in medical billing I will explain this as easily as I can.
When you are treated for services in a doctor office or hospital, you sign paperwork that explains you are responsible for any charges not covered by your insurance. If you receive bills and ignore them, they do not simply "go away." You account gets reviewed and attempts are made to contact you regarding your balance. If you fail to follow up and ask why you are getting billed and you are sent to collections, that is your fault no one else. If you feel the services were billed to you in error, CALL THEM.
To the person who said it is a HIPAA violation for a collection agency to have this information: No it is not. The only information they receive is your own personal info to track you down to collect a payment you owe. (refer to the top paragraph again) Medical records are not part of the collection process. They do not need to know why you are being billed, only that you are and you failed to rectify the situation.
So the next time you get a bill in the mail...OPEN IT. Ignoring it is not in your best interest, and this can follow you on your credit report until you acknowledge this is something to be taken seriously.
Learn your insurance! Most plans have deductibles and co-insurances that is the patient responsibility. If you do not read your summary of benefits, that is your fault.
Most hospitals and doctors offices will work with you, and will even adjust their balances down and allow you to make affordable monthly payments.
Stop blaming them and start taking responsibility for your own actions. If you do not understand how any of this works, find someone who does. You have options. I have helped countless people over the years and they are always grateful for the help because they did not understand why they were billed.
And if you have medical insurance, always remember one thing: You insurance company is in the business of SAVING money not spending it. You have rights, too. Learn to advocate for yourself.
