Back pain is a thing of the past with Chiropractic. Highly recommended people!
I have had a few treatments and I am very satisfied with the result. The pain has become much less and I feel better all the time.
The chiropractor is a professional, knows what he is doing, discusses the problem and gives tips. At the reception I get top service from super sweet ladies.
In short, SUPER SUPER good and fun practice;)

Effective. In only 3 sessions I got rid of a knee pain that I had been struggling with for months.

Had been to all kinds of doctors and nothing solved until I tried the Center for Chiropractic Amsterdam.

Personnel is great and the appointments are short and straightforward.

After a long period of neck pain and pain in the hips and months of physical therapy, things went a lot better after the first chiropractic treatment. After 5 times I was pain free for the first time in a long time. Super!
Now I go back regularly for maintenance treatment. I feel fitter and happier because I have much less pain.
Dr. Dan and his assistants are incredibly customer-friendly and service-oriented. I recommend anyone with pain complaints to try chiropractic here.

Incredible chiropractor and practice team. Worth the commute from Utrecht to get quality help. I visited Daniel sporadically prior to my ski accident. Subsequently, the monthly appointments have enabled me to make incredible progress in my physical rehabilitation exercises without pain medication. I went to see Dr. Riggs for problems with cramps in my legs and feet I had already for many years. And, I was surprised and very happy that the symptoms and pains in my feet went away after a few appointments only. A regular visit to Dr. Riggs will certainly be in my agenda! This is my first experience with chiropractic and a very positive one! The ladies behind the desk are friendly and Brian creates a relaxed atmosphere. It is also nice that they always have room after 5 in the evening so that I can come after work.

I had been suffering from neck and shoulder complaints for a number of years, so I often had a headache 4 times a week. Since I get Brians help I am practically headache-free. Highly recommended!

friendly staff and nice centered place in Amsterdam, but i found the way they work to be too much like a factory. really short visit, quick and general adjustment. also a kind of ''do it yourself'' experience, where you have to pick up your own file, put the chair in default position, put a clean paper on the headrest and wait for the Chiropractor to pass by and give you your 5 min treatment.. i don't know, i didn't feel like i was really listened to when i was explaining my problem (neck pain + right arm numb), and in fact the problem is still present. i saw more interest in explaining me why i should book more visits rather than having interest in fixing my problem.

Really friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere, where they take the time to get to know and understand you so that the treatment is tailored to your needs. What a lovely place where they help you to work on your own health!

I am still in the middle of the process but it feels good, the symptoms are slowly decreasing (complaints are; tingling in hands and feet and lower back pain). Highly recommended.

It was the first time i have been to chiropractor and i didn't know what to expect but it helped me really a lot to recover from injuries on my back and knee, from my back after 2-3 days i could just train normally and for my knee i have been there today and now i feel the difference, i would definitely recommend it, friendly and helpful staff, easy to reach ( really close to centrum of Amsterdam ).

Great, this team is always ready. In case of problems they give good advice. They are easily accessible and always give a quick answer back. My experience is that we have visited many doctors and thanks to Brian we have received an answer.

Extremely skilled chiropractor, who can make a very accurate diagnosis with the help of Myovision, and therefore performs very targeted corrections. Oh how happy I am ..... with my Chiropractor .......
For about 25 years I walked 13 kg crooked.
Low back pain every day, after walking or standing for longer.
I thought it was because of my obesity and my rheumatism.

But by a coincidence I ended up in the practice of ..
The first time was great.
Immediately a huge result.
After several times, I was able to walk through the Ikea whistling.
Now after 2 months it is even better. I also do small exercises at home.

During the treatment, certain muscles are pressed, which sometimes causes shooting pains,

Amazing place! Both professional and warm. Getting weekly adjustments is so good here since they ve really helped my back and the atmosphere is always so nice, compliments to the lovely Dr. Dan, Hannah and Elisa.

I have been joining Robert Shaw since August 29, 2005. I came to him because I was going with a friend who was excited to go to a chiropractor. So I got into conversation with Robert and told him that there was nothing he could do for me. I have a worn out knee from a fall. My right knee has no cartilage and I was sent home after an operation by the surgeon with the message that I actually needed a new knee but was still too young for that. Bone splinters had been removed and the pain was worse than before the operation. The advice was take painkillers and see how long that goes well.

When I came to Robert I was always in pain. I worked full time and did not do much besides that because the energy was lacking because of the pain. I took heavy painkillers and the pain came right through.
Robert told me that he couldn't fix my knee but that he could make sure my body was functioning in such a way that I could postpone surgery and be pain free. Actually, the rest of the body works better together and works harder to compensate my knee.

I thought about this for a month and then went back to Robert. He had me pain free within two weeks. A miracle! I am still very happy with that.
At first I came twice a week and after about a month it turned into a week. Now I come on average once every two weeks. I occasionally have periods when I have more pain and come more often. Until now it has always been fine. I still haven't had surgery because I don't see the need for it. Chiropractic has changed the quality of my life. I recommend it to everyone.

I also understand that people find it exciting to go to a chiropractor, I thought so too! However, with Robert Shaw you are in good hands. it has yielded me a lot and I am very grateful to him for that.

A very nice practice where I feel very welcome. It has an open atmosphere because you are not waiting in small rooms, but in a large room. At the desk you will be helped very nicely and they think along well with your personal situation. Whether it is about making agreements or choosing the best health insurance policy. There is always nice music on it and not unimportant; the men Brian and Dan help me very well with my back problems.

I am super satisfied, nice practice, good service and nice atmosphere. It is my first experience with Chiropractic, but really recommended. At this practice you will always be greeted super nice and nice by the receptionists upon arrival. This makes you feel completely welcome. Also with the chiropractors you can always have very nice conversations and they are genuinely interested in you. I've been going here for 3 years now and have never walked away disappointed. I'm a complicated case, but Dr. Brian & Dr. Dan clearly have the knowledge and skills to help me get better every time. Much appreciated too is the personal approach: he takes his time explaining what he does. I feel seen as a patient, also by the support staff at the desk, which cannot be underestimated considering we are often just 'a number' in the Dutch care system.

They have helped me getting rid of headaches and sleeping better. I can definitely recommend the practice. Everyone there is extremely nice and flexible (no pun intended) and the chiropractioners are knowledgable and professional.

I went to the chiropractor because of my scoliosis. Later it also appeared to significantly reduce my AD (H) D. Chiropractic has positively changed my life. Below my story:
I used to be very restless, it was soon found that I was suffering from AD (H) D. To be able to participate properly in class and not be constantly distracted, I had to take medication for this. Although the medication certainly helped in that respect, it also had a lot of unpleasant side effects. I felt that it was not good for me, but needed to get good results at school. Once in secondary education, I noticed that the medication was getting more and more serious and then I stopped.
Around the age of 15 I noticed that I had a crooked back: scoliosis. At the advice of my mother I went to Raamplein 44.
At the first scan it turned out not to be right, red arrows with high percentages indicated how bad my spine was out of balance. Then I received my first correction and this had a remarkable effect: I immediately noticed a relief from a tight pressure on my neck. I felt energy flow from my back through my neck to my head, I became completely red and warm in my face and I felt tired shortly afterwards. the next 2 days I lay in bed sick.
I have been going to Robert and Yasu twice a week since my first treatment (now for over 6 years). Slowly but surely the scoliosis decreased and I started to notice after a while that I was much less bothered by ADD. I did not expect this last effect and was not the reason that I went to the chiropractor. In general I just started to feel much better, mentally but also physically. I know what chiropractic has meant for me and that's why I keep coming back twice a week for treatment.

around 2.5 years ago I tried this chiropractor for the first time. I had pain in my lower back over a longer time. Tried some other specialist before, until I met Brian. He really took care of my issue in the lower back. He knows what he does, explains it and gives advice where needed. I am still going at least every 6 weeks as a routine check. And to be honest I am depending on his practice at this moment. Moreover, he is very sociable and nice to his clients. Conclusion if you a problem with respect to your skeleton or the muscular system. I strongly recommend Brian!

I've been Brian's client for over a year now. They treat their patients extremely well and Brian goes beyond using only chiropractic techniques. If he feels that the muscle needs a little stretch and tissue work he will not shy away from incorporating such techniques into the session.

We initially came for our one-year-old son, who always screamed a lot.

I had-have issues with my neck and I went to sevaral doctors also fysio also did MRIscan to find what was the problem and I didnt know what to do anymore and the pain was there for months so heavily that I got used to living with it.
And then I went there and he found the real problem and with few visits but since day 1 I felt the difference!

I've been here for a number of years and have always been well helped.
I could often come here the same day or the next day with acute back pain. Often it went better with 2 treatments in short succession and I could do everything again. Every few months I come for treatment more like prevention. I am very satisfied with the treatments that I have received over the years. They also give tips for exercises that you can do at home every day, which also helped me a lot.

A few months in treatment because of neck complaints. Before I went into treatment with chiropractic I was helped by a physiotherapist. This did not help and he referred me to the center for chiropractic on the raampin. I was helped very well here and the chiropractor quickly found the cause of the complaint. Besides the experience of the chiropractor he was always very likeable.
Besides the chiropractor you are also very well received at the counter. They ask how the past days have gone and show interest in the patient, so that you actually feel at ease.

Before I started coming here, I already had some experience with Chiropractics. Brian and Dan, however, are a different story. Not only did my physical problems reduce very quickly, they also explained to me what is happening in my body and what I can do to help and prevend more damage. All in all: very professional!

Manipulated my neck while I came for sciatica: created long term chronic neck pain for 2 years now.
I highly suspect this chiropractor is the cause of the disabling pudendal neuralgia that developed immediately after his manipulation.
I would definitely not recommend.

Clinic performed very professional correctional treatments. Very recommendable.

I went here confidently. Was also satisfied with the first few treatments. Satisfaction only decreased during the treatments. Found it to look like factory work. Treatments very short. No or hardly any improvement, but continue to treat (I have been 16 or 16). Do not see duplicate hernia. Chiropractor itself very nice, ladies at reception sometimes quite moody. I am absolutely positive about chiropractic, I have had good experiences elsewhere but I will never come here and I will not recommend it to anyone.

In my case, Centrum voor Chiropractie came highly recommended by another health professional and I have not been disappointed! Both Brian and Dan are not only very professional, but also have exceptional people skills. This makes their treatments highly effective, instructive and fun.
My long-standing initial complaint vanished rapidly and, due to taking their advice of regular upkeep sessions, hasn't returned yet. What a relief!
I must add that their staff perform above and beyond. No question is too much trouble, clients are welcomed as if we were family and they go out of their way to solve any problem before you are even aware of it.

I have been going to this chiropractor for years for 'sit down job and stress/RSI related issues'. Once every six weeks keeps the pain away. Although I come in 90% with the same issues, always asking how I feel, what I feel, listening carefully to what I have to say and scanning my body as a whole before he starts to adjust anything. I am a client since 1999, coming in now and then, and I am always in awe what amazing chiropractics like Robert Shaw and Brian Riggs can do to help the body restore itself. You walk in with a frozen shoulder, deaf on one ear, in pain and unable to lift a pound of sugar, and in a few sessions your troubles are over.
Having sent several people to Robert and Brian, all of them have experienced huge improvement and exceptional results like having that much wanted child, a baby that stops crying all the time, and, as always, a totally new level of wellbeing.

Why do I come to Chiropractie Amsterdam while living in Rotterdam?
Brain Riggs skilfully pays attention to your whole body. Since the regular treatment by him, my lower back pain has disappeared. When I got problems with my knees, they were treated with good results.
Due to the wide opening hours, there is always the possibility, if necessary, to come immediately or to reschedule your appointment.
The desk clerks are always friendly to speak to you and you will be warmly welcomed.

For a few years I had problems with the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in both hands. Injections helped for a while, but the pain kept coming back. Especially at night the pain was very bad and therefore I slept very badly. Tuesday, August 19, 2014, I would be operated on my left hand. I was very disappointed, because the chance of success is 70% and then it can come back again. A friend then gave me the number of the chiropractor practice at Raamplein. There I am under treatment with Dr. Brian Riggs. The pain was considerably less after the first treatment and after five treatments the pain was completely gone from both hands. In the meantime my left hand is now completely better and my right hand I only feel a deaf feeling in the middle finger now and then, but I am only halfway through the total treatment. I was able to cancel the operation. And all thanks to the fantastic, professional and professional treatments of Dr. Brian Riggs.
And the nice thing is that you also get 'extras': I sleep much better, I am less short of breath (I have a lung disease), I have a lot more energy and I also feel much happier. Fantastic. I had a huge load of rsi, by t fitting. Also stress due to the death of one lover. My arms, fingers and shoulder made tremendous pain. Because of a deadline I had to go through but almost could not.
On the internet I read very good reviews and my experience is that physiotherapy does not help so I went there. I was very kindly received by the desk employee who also had a huge burden of rsi but got rid of it. She reassured me.
After two treatments I was off the rsi complaints !! They are all very nice, professional, give good tips, very pleasant atmosphere. In the beginning I had to get used to the fact that everyone is in a room. it is nice that you are already helped after fifteen minutes. At first I thought "what short" but it helps so incredibly well.
It is also reimbursed by the health insurance.
Highly recommended!

I strongly recommend this place. Dealing with pain or disabilities with your body can be very frustrating. You have to find good physiotherapist who can fix you and guide you through all the journey towards getting better. Chiropractie Amsterdam is definitely worth a shot due to highly qualified practitioners with great experience. It is also very nice and friendly staff.

I am happy with the chiropractic care I receive here, Brian is very knowledgeable and treats his patients well. In the meantime I have noticed that my complaints have already been halved and this is purely due to the corrections I receive. For years I have been walking around with back and neck and more ailments. From doctor to physiotherapy and back! Everything helped for a short time. Until I discovered this practice. My body continues to develop ailments, but they are always super well helped by Brian. I think he can "conjure" with a manicured body! Dr. Dan works fast but extremely effective. You can tell he just knows what he's doing, cause he's fixing you up while making small talk.

I've been going to Dr. Brian Riggs for one year and he is an excellent chiropractor I have been under chiropractic care for almost 20 years so a very familiar with the adjustments that I need and how often they are needed.. My back issues are kept in check with his adjustments. Also, the office staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Centrum voor Chiropractie Amsterdam creates a comfy buzzy atmosphere for both patients and staff. The ladies behind the desk know who you are when you walk in and you're free to grab some water, coffee and usually a cookie/chocolate. There's a cute little corner for kids and instead of treating patients in separate small rooms the front desk, waiting area and treatment benches are in the same space. It's quite awesome actually. They make a solid effort to make you feel at home and for me it works. But obviously I would not keep coming back if the actual treatment wouldn't help. It does! It has relieved both injuries and longer lasting pain. If you are looking for a chiropractor in Amsterdam, Centrum voor Chiropractie Amsterdam is a no brainer!

Felt unbelievably lucky to get off a 10 hour flight and get my back adjusted, made walking all around the city so much easier. I wouldn't hesitate to go see him. Excellent, fast adjustment. Just the thing if you've got a pinched nerve from flying, or are just used to getting regular adjustments and are away on holiday. Just do it, it's well worth it.

I have been a patient with Dr. almost 2 years ago. Riggs, with an incredibly stiff neck and headache, came here after trying many therapists. They all only helped temporarily. I wanted to tackle the problem at the source and ended up with a chiropractor that I picked out via the internet. From the first moment I felt welcome by everyone and every time I am greeted with my name, a very pleasant personal approach by the ladies at the reception. Brian is a pleasant person, takes the time for you, has a chat and explains everything well. He gives the feeling that everything will be fine again and you can trust him. I am very happy with him in my life and intend to stay as long as necessary. I would heartily recommend this practice to everyone.

It's hard for me to give this place a rating out of 5 because I feel my experience is atypical. I know they do a lot of work that really helps a lot of people. And I must say the staff here are all super nice and friendly. I came here for a back problem and although I got some transient benefit from the treatments, whilst coming for treatment I acquired a new problem (which may have had everything or nothing to do with the chiropractic) - in any case chiropractic couldn't fix it. In the end I got much better relief with dry needling. I wish I had had the courage to try other things sooner but I kept thinking if I just did enough chiropractic appointments I would eventually get better. So my point is this works for some people but not for everyone - don't be afraid to try other things if you're not getting better. I spent a long time thinking it was "my fault" that chiropractic wasn't helping me, when i just needed to find a treatment that fitted better with my problem. Also I don't agree with the business model of keeping everyone coming back regularly for treatments. You can do a lot to maintain your body independently of a therapist, once you understand what the problem is.

In the meantime I visited Brian and Daniel a number of times for back problems. With every visit I received a warm welcome and clear explanation. It is noticeable that Brian, Daniel and the assistants have good knowledge and can put the patient at ease. After various treatments the pain in my back is considerably less and I will definitely keep coming back until my symptoms have been solved!

The staff, Dr. Brian, and Dr. Dan are very knowledgeable and friendly. The treatments are efficient and effective. Came in with back, shoulder, and neck pain a few weeks backs, and I am very satisfied with my progress. The wait times are short which is great for a doctor's office in the center of Amsterdam. Great experience.

The treatment is in an open space without privacy, after 15 minutes you are outside again and you pay the full pound. Appointments are booked twice, you prepare your bank yourself, impersonal factory for money beating.

Half a year ago I could not get out of bed without pain and thanks to Brian I am now fitter than ever. It was very nice to be helped for my back in recent months, because the result was very visible. The ladies at the reception are also competent, fun and pleasant! Thanks for that!

Brian has been my chiropractor for eight month now and he is always fully focused on what he is doing and very tuned into what is going on in the body at all times. I always feel my body's balance is re-established after his adjustments. Also, the ladies in the reception are really great too!!

As a novice in chiropractic, I was a little wary at the beginning. However, I was well supplied with information from the start and I was able to level the treatment method with the first consultation. The assistants are involved and give good tips for dealing with your complaints.

The chiropractor, Brian Riggs, is above all an expert and also a nice person to deal with. He brings everything in an airy / rational way and provides insights in the medical field that are very educational.
You can deduce from his treatment that he wants the best for you. For example, he gave me exercises to reduce my neck / back complaints (which, incidentally, help well!) And after a period of two months he indicated that it might be more cost-effective to come less and to combine his treatments with a physiotherapist. In other words, someone who does the work to help you instead of filling his pockets.

I have an office job and I also enjoy a lot of sports. Brian (and Dan) made sure that I can keep up that combination well. In case of injuries they ensure that I am up-2-speed again soon. After months with serious neck complaints (and a search to get rid of it) I ended up at the Center for Chiropractic Amsterdam. Dr. treatments Brian Riggs had a positive effect right from the start. Soon I was pain free. In the treatments he also brought along some other pain points, so that I can move much better than before.
In addition to treatments, I also find the atmosphere in the Center very pleasant. The employees are all equally cordial and attentive. I always feel welcome there.

This morning I told Brian that I would have been a cripple if I had not had his treatments. My back is already for over a year totally stable and free of pain. Now he is treating my broken thumb which has healed but does not work properly. It is really a relief after almost one year, to have much less pain already after two treatments. I am longing for the rest of my treatments so I can use my thumb again free of pain.

Two weeks ago I went to have made a weird twist through my back. A lot of pain, could not walk or sit up straight. Fortunately I was able to go for treatment the same day. Immediately the first treatment already gave a lot of relief and I was able to walk out the door again. After three treatments it already felt as if nothing had actually happened. I was able to stoop again and I had no more pain. Unbelievable how quickly Bryan can achieve results and give confidence that things will turn out well. Nice how he explains what is going on and how he can handle this. The atmosphere is very good. Although it is busy there, the treatment is very personal. The ladies at the reception also give attention in a pleasant and personal way. I would recommend this center to anyone.
