Emelle's Catering Ltd. Review

Emelle's catered our wedding this summer and were so wonderful to work with. We felt like we were in good hands right from the beginning. They were very accommodating and everything on the day went very smoothly. They anticipated our needs without us even asking and made sure that we were fed throughout the day. Highly recommend as the service was fantastic.

Good, fast, and cheap ish. The dishes are creative too, and it's really clean.

Emelle's Catered a 40 person family party for us. The food was absolutely outstanding as was the service. They were professional is every step along the way. I would highly recommend the team at Emelle's for any catering or event service.

From our initial contact with our coordinator Nicole, to day of set up, Emelle's was extremely accommodating and professional. The quality of the food for our wedding was a big highlight for our guests and the menu options we were provided with made it very difficult to choose! Their familiarity with our venue at the Vancouver Rowing Club made for a seamless coordination of setup and invoicing. We couldn't be happier with the quality of food and level of service and communication we received.

Emelle's is a great place to grab lunch. The food is prepared with pride, it tastes great, is a good value, is made from quality ingredients, and tends to have an extra feature over traditional expectations. The staff is personable and professional, and they frequently have promotions or events that make things more interesting.

Went last weekend with a small group of 4 for a birthday brunch. So delicious! Had mimosas and bennies, the salmon eggs bennie was amazing as was the veggie one. Loved the hash browns too! It was only the second time I had been to a restaurant (since the pandemic hit) and it was well worth it.

For Father's Day this year, I ordered a charcuterie platter for brunch at home. The presentation was beautiful and we enjoyed the variety of delicious cheese and deli treats. The dessert was decadent and was a huge hit with the kids. Nicole was very accommodating and pleasant to work with.

Emelle's catered my wife's birthday party, and everything was fantastic. Truly top-notch service. I would highly recommend them!

I've been here for lunch on a number of occasions. Pricey for what you get. The hot sandwiches and paninis have been a let-down every time I got one: small and usually pretty greasy. The chef blue plate specials are also a hit or miss depending on what you get.

Great service, great food, and great to deal with as a caterer!

We recently had Emelle's cater our wedding of 100 guests and it was spectacular. We knew right from the tasting that we had made the right decision. My husband and I were accompanied for the tasting by my parents and they served us not only samples of everything on our dinner menu, but full portions!

On the day of our wedding Emelle's service was outstanding. The staff are not summer student hires who are trying to earn a little cash for text books - these were clear professionals in this industry who were kind and attentive to our every conceivable need. The food was absolutely outstanding (especially the mushroom chicken and whipped potatoes) and we had more leftovers than we could eat in a month.

We couldn't have made a better choice than Emelle's.

Their food is good and prices are great! But I only knocked off 2 stars because their service is bad. Since they take your name for your order, it's hard to hear if they're calling your name out because they constantly mispronounced your name. I suggest they should change their system maybe to a table service card number instead. I also experienced a very long wait time for my food because no one called out my name and some how got me confused with someone named Andrea.

I would give it 3.5 stars but I can t. Good food I love s Darren blue plate specials most interesting food mixes. And they have some/few great regulars on the menu. But there is no food information telling you if there may be something your allergic to it s in it. I ordered a Salad which ended up having ginger in it and I had to go to the hospital because of my reaction to it.

Amazing Experience With Emelles Catering!

We had such a great experience with Emelles Catering for our wedding in August. Nicole Burke was so great to work with, and her team of chefs,
bartenders, and waiters/waitresses were very professional professional (and fun).

Our reception was much like a blank canvas, so Nicole and her team needed to build there own kitchen and bring ALL of their supplies- it was very impressive!!

The food quality is outstanding. Our guests still continue to rave about the food. From drinks and appies, to the main dishes and desserts- it was all amazing! We had quite a few last minute changes to make, and they were always more than willing to help (including packing all our food and drinks up at the end of the night and storing it at their warehouse!)... oh and making us a cake!

This is an extremely talented and dedicated team and would recommend them to anyone! Thank you for everything!!

Nicole of Emelle's is like a Swiss Army knife. Everytime something goes wrong in an event, she pulls something up her sleeve to fix it.
Talk about multitasking.She has more energy than 5 kindergarten kids in school recess. I took desserts home after her last event and found myself gulping her Nanaimo bars for breakfast: too good to resist. From fancy weddings to a family lunch in the park, you can trust Emelles to serve you as she says, "with ease and grace" and I would add: with deliciousness!!

We attended our first Bard on the Beach performance last night, and we ordered two of their "Juliet's Supper" meals for my daughter and I as we would not have time to eat dinner beforehand. When confirming my order the day before, I asked if they could also include a birthday cupcake for my daughter (and one for me, too!) and not only were those delicious, but the whole meal was wonderful, and I appreciated their excellent customer service as well. Bravo!

My favourite cafe in the neighbourhood! Food is always consistently good and the staff is super friendly. Glad I discovered this spot - I eat here on a weekly (if not more) basis.

Where to even begin about saying how AMAZING Emelle s is. As an event professional, we have worked with Emelle s on countless events and have seen time and time again how they deliver exceptional food, engaging service and incredible experience EVERY TIME.

Most recently we attended Bard on the Beach and had a fabulous catered dinner by Emelle s included. 800 people served a delicious salmon buffet and seamlessly? Woah! It s an art & science, both of which Emelle s has mastered.

A few weeks ago we hosted my Mom s 70th Birthday, which was a surprise Afternoon High Tea. Pulling off a surprise and showing up with my Mom to a venue fully braced and ready for a champagne toast? No sweat! The Earl Grey cake was mouthwatering and a huge hit too.

I m a raving fan of Emelle s and will say WHATEVER the event is, small or big, from a simple corporate lunch to an audacious, vibrant theme party they re the one we choose!

We are still getting compliments about the mouth-watering food served at our wedding. Not only was the food tasty, but most of it was locally-sourced! Each dish was cooked to perfection and had beautiful presentation. Service was exceptional with very attentive servers, quick and friendly bar-tenders and amazing cooks. We had a number of dietary restrictions at our wedding and Emelles was able to tailor the food accordingly. We even had a 3-tier Angel Food cake that looked stunning and tasted great! Thank you Emelles for making our big day perfect!

Eggs -actly Perfection.
How many of you have had a perfectly poached medium egg?? The centre is creamy, with a thin line of just set egg. It s heavenly, but oh so hard to do. Their Smoked Salmon Benny is something I dream about and always inspires me to attempt to replicate... to no avail.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Nicole from Emelle's Catering over the last year while we planned our wedding at the Vancouver Rowing Club. Emelle's is the venue's preferred caterer so we didn't have a choice, but as soon as I read all these Google reviews I knew I was in good hands. And did they EVER live up to the expectations!!! Nicole was by far the most responsive and helpful wedding vendor we worked with. Her communication was honestly impeccable, and helped to reduce a lot of stress that comes with planning a wedding. She happily answered the many questions we had, made menu adjustments and was very accommodating to our special requests. Several months before the wedding she hosted us for a full tasting which was so enjoyable to try all the food (because on our wedding day I barely had time to eat)! We've had great feedback about the food. We wanted to stay away from the usual wedding buffet roast beef, so we opted for barbecued steak which I know is a challenge for 100+ people but they absolutely nailed! It was so good! Also, the Butternut Squash Mac n' Cheese took the winner for best supporting role :) Soooo good! As you can see, Emelle's let's you make the menu your own and happily works hard to pull it off without a hitch. You're not just another customer with Emelle's. Even the staff on the day went out of their way to make sure we were treated special, pulling out my chair for me and setting aside a plate of hors d'oeuvres for us because we were off taking pictures - so sweet! If you are looking at having Emelle's provide catering for your wedding/event, stop reading and email them - you won't regret it! Thanks Nicole & team!! :)

Delicious food and great service!

We wanted to order an afternoon tea for Mother's day and Nicole was fantastic! She clearly laid out the cost, what was included, and a window of delivery. My mom loved it!

Really delicious food here. My favorite is the breakfast omlette. Stop by to grab lunch to go or dine in and enjoy your meal on their cozy dining area.

This place is run by Chefs and other great professional staff. Everyone is great here to talk and their daily specials are great. The food is fresh and they have great selections. Prices are very good as well!

I stopped in for lunch here last week and the food was incredible. The service was fantastic and they have a beautifully designed storefront. After speaking with Nicole (Director of Catering Sales) I am convinced that I will be using them for all my future event catering. Very impressed!

We used Emelle's for our wedding in May 2017, and, as far as the food went, it was amazing. I have only good things to say about that aspect of the catering. In addition, the severs were super lovely and professional.

However, my fiance and I were pretty nonplussed by the way everything was handled before the wedding. We had to initiate most of the communication, asking about things they should've been asking us e.g. how many high chairs we'd need; what we wanted our bar service to look like. Out of all of our vendors, Emelle's had the least followup and paperwork documenting our agreement. This led to a miscommunication that left us with a big dessert item missing from our reception. Basically, we didn't feel like our business was valued, starting from after the first tasting session.

That being said, our wedding planner was a week-of planner, as opposed to a full-time one. She definitely would have saved us trouble with Emelle's had she been working for us the whole lead-up to the wedding. So, my recommendation is that, if you have a planner, Emelle's is a strong choice because the quality of food is guaranteed. If you aren't going to be using a professional planner for your event, just be prepared to be really on the ball; make sure you get clear receipts and agreements in writing from Emelle's.

Emelle's always delivers good food and good service! I have used them for events for over a decade, the fact they're still in business and highly rated is testament on to their quality

Made a good Sunday morning even better today with brunch at Emelle's. The staff were super warm and personable, and the food was delicious. It was my first time, but won't be my last. :) I recommend the french toast !

So you work in the Mount Pleasant area and need a place to eat for lunch. Emelle's can offer you just that.
Everyday of the week they offer a different menu to keep you coming back for more. Their food is amazing quality for around $10 a meal. Order from the kitchen bar, grab a cookie at the check out, and sit down and wait for your delicious meal to be served. Actually before you sit, grab a tastey glass of infused water.
The friendly atmosphere and brightly lit eating area is a welcoming experience. The staff work here like clockwork. Seating is plentiful; feel free to make your own table of 4 or more. If you like sides of fries but still want to eat a healthy salad, simply ask for half-and-half and they will serve with a smile.

Their daily kitchen is good 85% of the time, some days I feel like the daily kitchen menu is less inspiring but still very good.

It's a clean, modern, comfortable cafe for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea or coffee with friends. Great food and prices is a bonus! Amituofo!

Incredible food, cake, and service for wedding

We were very lucky to have Emelle s Catering for our wedding.
Nicole was extremely professional, flexible, very responsive and on top of everything. She basically made all the planning for our wedding day. Nicole took care of creating the menu, the wedding cake, seating plan, and all the furniture rental. Nicole helped us to have a perfect menu that reflected both our culture.The food was amazing and all our guests enjoyed it. The service was very good too. We couldn't be happier on our big day. We highly recommend Emelle's catering and Nicole. She is fantastic, if you are working with her you don't need to be worried about anything.

Emelle s recently catered our wedding and boy did they hit a home run! The service was fantastic as they ensured all our guests had more than enough to eat. We go some many compliments from our guests that was some of the best wedding food they ever had! Also leading up to the event, Emelle s was great checking in with us and going over small details, in that regard communication was excellent (thank-you Nicole & Neil!). We would definitely recommend Emelle s to our family and friends!

We used Emelle's to cater our company Christmas party. Everything was absolutely exceptional from the food to the dishes to the service. We ordered the Candlelight Carol dinner that included items like a kale salad, turkey, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, cabbage, and bread. It was followed by a Creme Brulee. Laura was amazing from the time she arrived until she left. She was super friendly, efficient, and smooth in her service and interactions. We would definitely use Emelle's again! Super Happy!!

Emelle's was our number 1 choice to cater our wedding. Their food is so yummy and they were very accommodating to all of the little things we desired. Nicole worked with us, our vision, and our budget so we were happy with everything. We highly recommend Nicole and the team, they really do go all the way to exceed your expectations!
