Casino was a bust. Couldn't win a thing lol. Bingo was great....still no winning. Hotel was awesome with tremendous beach and easy beach access. People were very kind and professional. We will be back! BUT NO GAMBLING!

I just love the fact that I usually walk away a winner sure I've put a lot into my "love to hang out places" let's face it not every one can walk away a winner but let me tell u life is sweet when you do.
While attending a business event one evening I was served a delicious salmon dish with tender veggies and a tasty sort of relish. A very good meal and polite service made it a special night. Parking was easy.
If you ever feel like losing a quick $50 this is the best place for it! Sit down next to a covid infected trucker and roll the dice with granny's life! They do have temperature takers at the door but for some reason they had to take mine rectally, he was gentle...
I was hesitant to go to the casino amid all covid stuff. But I am highly impressed. The staff was on it when it came to cleaning. Everywhere you look there is staff wiping down machines. I even had one young man notice i was going to sit down and cleaned the machine before I sat. Everyone is required to wear masks. With no exceptions. Staff were all friendly and in a fantastic mood. And they also moved the dance floor into the convention center rooms. Which allowed for a ton of space and lots of social distancing while still being able to dance. Over all I am very impressed with how they are able to pull this all off! Way to go Chinook Winds!! Oh and the entire property is no smoking, which adds to the enjoyable experience!!
The layout leaves much to be desired compared to other casinos in driving distance. Not enough signage to navigate with elderly father. Small and crowded with machines. The buffet was wonderful. Prime rib, shrimp fry bread tacos etc. Glad to see buffets still live!
I've been here a few times and I believe the first one was because of a stand up comedy event over the weekend with my in-laws and my husband and the rest were about wandering around trying to look what they have in store for you to do. I've tried their "buffet" once while the wildfire was still not 100% contained and it wasn't a grand experience at all because it did not feel like it was in fact A buffet but we managed to use our coupons over there so I guess it was a pleasant experience anyway. I appreciate the fact that the filipino server there took some time to actually learn what was going on with the coupons and made sure she accommodated us in polite manner. I believe she's a new employee there and she still did a good job. I'm just not sure when to return while they have this place like this because of the pandemic though.
Another Big awesome turnout for Surf City Sound off & Impala's car show! Had tons of fun getting demos & checking out everyone's audio. Alot of nice low riders, hot rods, other cars & the car hop was cool. 3rd year in a row from Fresno, Cali! Can't wait until next year! #audioconceptsfresno #surfcitysoundoff2020
Fun! The bar is a half circle of windows that overlook the ocean. 21 and over only though, would like to take my kiddo to bar. Buffet is as good as casino ones get. Do it, if at the Oregon Coast!
We ate at the casino buffet. We liked what we had but we would like to see more choices. We were impressed that they have us a military discount because other casinos don't value military families.
Was well kept and everything I expected for the slot machines. Comedy on the Coast was fun but it looked super bedraggled and "thrown together" (there were no signs saying who would be performing and it had to be googled twice to get spelling down). Also why would you have free soda LITERALLY everywhere else in the casino except in the event? $2 for a watered down soda? Really? Already agreed we wouldn't eat at the steakhouse again because the food wasn't worth the price. Best part of it all were the bartenders. One at the event and the other in the steakhouse were just delightful and very kind!
I have been to Chinook Winds several times. It is a nice hotel/casino. The hotel is simple and it's not a really flashy casino which I like. Staff is always very nice and helpful, including security. Hotel overlooks the beach which is very nice. Access to the beach is right by the hotel. Good prices for such a great view. It's an older building and is constantly exposed to rain during the year so nothing fancy. Tons of parking, though that may change soon as they continue expanding. Free soft drinks. Most tables are 5$ min, lots of slots around .25$ for all lines. Hotel pool is open fairly late. The seafood restaurant is pretty good. Average price.
I love Chinook casino. My problem was the food last night. I have loved it every other time I've been there. Last night was very bleek and not a lot of flavor at all. The spread wasn't as usual. I'm kind of disappointed as it was my last weekend here. All in all I love Chinook. Everyone has a bad night. Highly recommend it!
Overall a fun little place. I didn't see that many people smoking but there was definitely a strong smell of smoke in the air in most of the casino. They've done a great job remodeling a bed and there's good room to walk around between tables and slots.
Did not go into the casino. Went to watch their annual fireworks, fantastic show. Very generous of the casino to provide this for the people of Lincoln city.
Smoking inside is so disgusting and literally pains everyone around you.
There is NO reason to have a conference here! The smoke travels in and permeates the rooms. You have to enter the smoke filled casino to get to one of the side conference rooms. Very unpleasant experience.
For ppl with asthma, it is hard to breathe. I left lightheaded and exhausted.
Our room was NOT VERY CLEAN! Shower curtain was moldy the bathroom light was FULL OF DUST.. top of the headboard had PILES PF DUST.... The coffee pot was FILTHY...I'm asthmatic and during this pandemic things should be cleaned more efficiently
We really enjoyed our stay at the Chinook Winds resort. The room had a phenomenal view of the ocean, and windows we could open to hear the waves coming in all night. The rooms are clean, with the normal amenities of fridge, microwave, tv, iron, coffee pot. The decor is somewhat outdated, but we barley noticed as we sat drinking our coffee enjoying the AMAZING view. The casino itself is my favorite one on the Oregon coast thus far. It was large enough that I felt like I could get lost in the games. There is a cool water feature, a second floor with more games, and the club was bumping. The cocktail waitress situation left something to be desired, but we easily got drinks from one of the bars. It was quite smoky, but no more so than any other casino I ve been in lately. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back.
Absolutely horrible called on our way there to check availability and was told all good just stop by and check in for a free night stay. When we arrive all was good as we parked plenty of room. I went to check in and was told we had to gamble $20. To get a free night. It was late so I asked it I can gamble tomorrow. She told me that if I didn't gamble the 20 then go to a kiosk get a ticket then take the ticket to her with my plate number then get a ticket from her then put that in my truck by midnight they would kick me out "NO EXCEPTIONS" I asked if I could just pay and call it good "absolutely not" she said. You must have points on your players card. WOW can't believe they make people gamble. I know it's a casino but there is a convention and other activities. What if you just don't gamble? So kick me out don't want to be here anyway.
One of my fav places to go to when i travel to lincoln city...my last visit, i bought a new pair if shoes and i was wearing them when i played bingo at chinook winds and won 100.00 bucks...it was awsome
This is a much nicer place than most. Lots of parking and it's big. I felt safe enough staying in my RV in the parking lot. They allow 3 days free. No hook ups but there's some grass to let the dogs sniff around in.
The biggest cheaters in the western hemisphere they can even revoke your bet after you win square and fare. Would never play here again and if you try to contest you your case they employ cops. That s so not how casinos should operate. This is so disappointing if you don t want my money, then don t let me bet. They will let you bet, but as soon as you win, floor manager will tell you that you was not supposed to bet and you will not receive your winnings, and if you will argue they immediately will call cops. In my opinion this is lowest kind of cheating!!!
Attended Sunday brunch and left satisfied. The food was good (standard breakfast food with some good lunch options including crab). The dessert selection was vast and included a large glutton free section. Overall, I was happy with the meal for the price.
Casino is great! I wish they would of had more $5.00 min blackjack tables (they only had one). Buffet is not as good as Spirit Mt. Casino but still good. Left with winnings! Wish they had more than 1 bar.
A great casino.... But way too much smoke! The whole place smells like smoke unfortunately... But I guess that's expected at a Casino. Most of the games are very similar, but the staff was very friendly. My sister in law was sitting at a blackjack table and the staff was helpful at explaining the rules and even suggesting to play at a lower table to get the best value for the same amount of money. Would definitely recommend coming here. Also there buffet is legit!
Absolutely beautiful location w/suites where you can overlook the ocean while sitting next to the in-suite fireplace.or out on your own private balcony. The beach is spectacular, very clean and peaceful. I've never seen more than 20 people on the beach at one time and frequently there's only 3 or 4 people walking along the otherwise deserted shoreline. You can't hear or see any traffic from the sand and the area isn't over crowded with beach houses. The casino is very nice and the casino hosts are terrific. But don't expect to win and plan on bringing more money than you'd need at any other casino. I've played here a lot and it's by far the worst casino for payouts I've ever visited. As long as you don't mind not winning much, you'll enjoy your time spent at Chinook Winds.
Its a great place. Many food options to choose from. The gaming floor has a wide variety of games to choose from including video poker and keno. They also have a bingo room. The jr suites are really a great size with a private balcony that faces the ocean. Overall experience there was great. I will return.
Really horrible. Luckily they can rely on addiction. Went for a birthday coffee at the bar. Nobody except for the new bar tender gave a &^#!:( that we were there. Ignored us as we walked in. Seriously, WTH! At least when I visited Spirit Mountain they engage you as a customer of value.
First let me say that this is a beautiful Casino. Not real big. Right on the Ocean. My Wife and I do not gamble. It's just not our thing. We go to a Casino for the Buffet. We may not enjoy gambling but we love to eat. There is a Seafood Buffet on Friday Eve. and a Beef Buffet on Sat. Eve. It will set you back $25. The food is ok. The Salmon shined above the rest. I gotta say though that the Buffet at Spirit Mountain Casino is much larger, many more selections, and the food is just all around better. If your like us and just want to eat or you like really good food when your gambling then I would recommend Spirit Mountain
Always a good time with your significant other. We ate at the buffet, went to a wonderful comedy show and played roulette all night. The only bad thing there is all the cigarettes. Stinks like crazy. You will get a headache if you are in there to long. They also don't allow cigar or pipe smoking which seems biased. You should be all or nothing.
Great place! Staff could use customer relations classes especially some of the staff at the craps table! Watch out for the grey haired heavy set woman! She hates her job and ruins the atmosphere!
Ate dinner with my family. It was good just not a very large selection of food other than shellfish. Large area, nice people and great place to go with family and friends.
Hotel is overly priced for how cheap and old it is they need a remodel badly. The casino itself has had the same look for the past 10 years that I m aware of but it s still in good condition. And tonight unlike other night the bartender was spot on she made a delicious drink unlike normally the bartenders make weak poor tasting drinks. Which is why I gave it four stars tonight for the drinks and the cleanliness of the casino not the hotel.
Just went for Sports betting. Staff in that department was very friendly, helpful and helped solve an issue i had. Even saw one employee explain the whole premise of sports betting to one woman. I thought that was pretty good customer service. Will be back. Good times, minus the drive from Seattle!
Went to a concert and had a great time. They get big name people in. We had a great time. Not having a bar to access easily was disappointing as well as nobody serving drinks. We have been to a few concerts here and have always enjoyed the events. I would recommend the restaurants as well as the night club. Always a good time. For the parents they offer an arcade on the property for your kids.
Service was excellent, the big screen TVs are nice for showing games while on the gambling floor. I just wish they were showing the Trailblazers game. (I didn't ask them to, I probably could have. Didn't think about it.) Great place to hang. Also, a bit smoky, but that's expected. Great time!
Won over $2000 !!!!! Unique games, 2 stories of slots and tables. Huge bingo hall with games all day with high payouts, also have daubbers for you to use while playing! Weekend drawings, monthly drawings and instant drawings. The buffet was amazing! Seafood was very fresh, abundant, and tasted so good! The prime rib was delicious and they even had fry bread made fresh
Hotel is priced well and very nice rooms with an indoor pool and hot tub, hotel rooms all have ocean views as well!
Definitely coming back to stay in the hotel and play some more!
I absolutely love the place , everyone who works here is friendly and helpful . The casino is huge even when crowded you can find a place to play slots or they have table games as well . Closest to Vegas you will get for a casino . Room are spacious with everything clean and almost like new . The walk from the hotel to casino is a bit far because it s located on the opposite side of the building . All the restraints here have excellent food and even the buffet is great but with covid happening it s not serve yourself . Overall great visit with a recommendation to return to all interested in this type of establishment.
Check in was fast, rooms was very big in the suites building. Hotel is completely seperated from the hotel, but the shuttle bus to the casino is very fast. Hotel rooms was very big and spaxious which gave my son (toddler) lots of room to run around. Casino - enjoyed playing bingo, main casinon loor was not smokey at all, purchase ur drinks (this isnt free like vegas ) concession stand has a variety of food, drinks, snacks , smoothie. Beach ia directly behind the hotel and recommend you getting the beach front rooms. Worthed!!!!
Went there for the buffet it was nothing to jump up snd down about. Old Country Buffet is way better. However the view is very nice. Buffet staff where on point on everything.
Plenty of slots to choose from. But if you are nonsmoker like me...stay away. They do have a smaller non smoking slot machines area but you have to smell the smoke to get there! Need to use the restroom or get something to eat, more smoke. Ugh! Enjoy smokers, this place was built for you!
Well I dont gamble much I won 1 time but go to comedy show concerts and play bingo their they have a great bar upstairs, and like the cafe food down stairs go and have fun they have arcade for the kids to enjoy a hotel golf course and the beach right behind their it's amazing to watch the fire work every year on their Anniversary right over the water the most beautiful thing you see
I think it would have been more fun if there were more and better games in the non smoking area. I like the older machines better. I wish they wouldn't have taken All of them out.
Cool place, dislike the cigarette smell though. Makes it very hard to breathe. The games are fun but also very over stimulating. Not recommended for anyone with light or stimulation sensitivities.
First time, it was great and fun. Lost some and won some. The service there was fantastic and so was the games. The buffet was great too. I will recommend this place to someone wanting to have fun no matter if they win or lose.
I don't like casinos or going out during coronavirus, but they were very active with cleaning the machines after someone used it. They took a temperature reading before we were allowed in as well.
I've come here a few times over the years as I'm from out of town you should know this place is a long drive. So we always come to this casino whenever we make the journey. I can't say much on the staff as it seems no drinks are offered for free? My friend and I got some cocktails in a long line and they were okay. Not great. The buffet was just okay as well. A few good items but mostly boring. The people working in bingo area were helpful and nice and they a had pop machine area in there. For a place that look so huge it almost seems small. Plus I've yet to actually win anything at this casino. They do offer free shuttle rides to certain hotels in the area. These last couple years they've become really crowded. Also some old guy was harassing me about making money from the casino I'm like I'm not from around here dude/racist dbag. Slow lines.
