Chillout Hostel Zagreb Review

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. Fantastic location. Great bar and really nice rooms

The best place to expirience Zagrebian hospitality, multiculturality, beauty of the city center with the most reasonable price!

To much noice at night from the bar below and drunk people in the corridors. Bad ventilation and bad WiFi. Beds are ok and clean. Just wish I was warned about the noice at night so I could be prepaired, have to catch a flight early next morning..

We reserved two beds in a eight people bedroom with private toilet for three nights. We run out of toilet paper the first day and they never replaced it during our whole stay. Someone flooded the bathroom and despite the fact we warned them immediately, it took one day for them to take care of it. The breakfast was barely acceptable.

Air-con is so weak that the heat in the rooms is still unbearable during summer time and curtains to keep the sun from shining directly onto the beds are inexistent. Wifi is slow and common area smells of cigarette smoke. Nice staff, cheap and relatively clean.

I got my luggage stolen and got no help from the hostel!! Despite there being cameras I received no information to what happened to my luggage. The breakfast options were very limited with little protein (bread, cheese, ham, cereal, juice, milk), the beds were small and no recommended for claustrophobics. The shower was dark, clogged up. The positive: the location and most of the staff was friendly and polite.

I was here in January, and was shocked to discover you could smoke inside. I understand that this is somehow common in the city, but there should be warnings in the website and in the hostel's description. I am very allergic and felt horrible the whole time I was there, and had to wash all my clothes after leaving because they all reaked of cigarettes. The whole common area absolutely stank of old smoke, and I couldn't be there for two minutes before getting a headache. You can't smoke in the rooms, but everyone would hang out in the common area and then go to the rooms, and very soon they stank too.

Well located and great place to chill out. It has a very good bar where you can meet and share your experiences with fellow travellers.
The beds might seem conjusted but still great place to stay in Zagreb. And also most of the city attractions are nearby.

Great athmosphere, clean, real showers and beds that don't creak. The staff are really friendly as well.
10/10 would recommend.

Great location, friendly staff and brilliant atmosphere in the bar downstairs on the weekends. They often have a number of nights there from local DJ's and groups...house, techno etc. Top place to meet new people or to travel alone/meet new groups.Between here or Swanky Monkey for best tourist accommodation options

If there had been no bedbugs it could have gone but no luck, a guy in our room kept throwing up running to the naked toilet (bathroom in basic sorry state anyway ). I do not recommend there must be much better in Zagreb

A bit difficult to find because it is in an alley. Ground floor is the reception and cafeteria with music. Ideal for young people

I was in the pub a nice and fun place to listen to music, drink trankilamente and dance from 10, as it transforms from being a pub trankilo to be a pub to dance and enjoy., There are many people working who understand Spanish so you will not have problems in understanding yourself with waiters and people who are going to have fun.

The air conditioner was broken but the technician was not yet. I wasn't afraid of the work. I didn't know if there was no key left to check in. Hahahaha.

Very nice hostel. But if you are not a smoker do not go ... the living room, the bar and the reception are all in one place and you smoke, you can not breathe there! Anyway very comfortable to sleep

Great, fun place with awesome interior design, clean and with a great location. Staff was also super friendly and helpful.

Totally predictable and reliable. A chillout hostel with an almost, but not quite, contrived chillout atmosphere. If you're expecting a hostel, its gonna hit the spot.

I'm from Finland so i know when i'm in the sauna, and the room we had was definitely one. It says that they have air condition, but at least ours didn't do anything. I'll sleep literally anywhere but this was first time in my life that i couldnt sleep like at all. But the good things were definitely the staff and atmosphere. Great and very kind customer service. But the rooms were just way too hot. I guess the price is alright, though i couldnt sleep at all.

Good hostel in the heart of the city. Rooms and bathrooms were OK and staff was really friendly. On top of that really rare in Croatia they were offering free walk tours

I stayed one night in Zagreb with a group of friends in this fantastic hostel.
Very convenient location in the center if not for the parking not present ... for those arriving by car you have to make do with the guarded parking lots in the center that have staggering prices.
Clean hostel run by friendly young people available fast and professional.
The rooms are very well furnished in an industrial and modern style, simple but equipped with everything you need.
Ideal for young globetrotters for its affordable prices and the activities organized by the hostel, such as the park next door with live DJs every night, the pub on the first floor which organizes karaoke and musical evenings.
I understood later why they gave ear plugs at the reception ... Let's say that those looking for a quiet place to go to bed early, maybe it's better to look elsewhere because they really need earplugs at night.
If I return to Zagreb the Chillout will definitely be my holiday accommodation

A good place for young people, students, partiers. The very center of the city makes them perfect for evening outings, and for the lazy ones there is a bar in the same building on the ground floor. The rooms are clean, the service is nice, but the standard would rather not satisfy families with children.

We had a bad experience. The room wasn't like it was on the pictures, very small. The reception is also a bar and they smoke inside so it smells very bad. The shower and toilets were broken, and the staff wasn't nice, actually they were cold and not helpful in any way.
Strongly recommend not to visit there while in Zagreb

Budget hostel. I was in a shared room with pods that though are long enough are way too tight

Non-stop party. A very noisy place. The only plus is the price and location. If you value peace, you should avoid this hostel.

Location of the Hostel is the best thing about it. You can go everywhere you want in maximum 20 minutes. Crew is amazing espacially Dinko he was very helpful and kind to us. If you want the cheap and quality at the same time go to Chillout and chill ;)

Great hostel in the city center with amazing staff!

Centrally located with great staff. Cool bar in the lobby with trivia nights and karaoke where you can meet some great people. Unique design gives the place character. Walking distance to all of city center. Entrance can be tricky to find but easy to remember. Super cheap and the best hostel you're going to find for $13.

Great hostel with a lively bar downstairs. The hostel made me wish I stayed longer in Zagreb. The staff were friendly and very accommodating when I missed my bus to Croatia and needed to move my reservation on late notice.

Because there's a nightclub downstairs it can get really noisy sometimes. The rooms are pretty clean and for the conditions offered it has a good price.

Extremely comfortable room and a nice ensure bathroom was included at no extra cost. The staff and my room mates were extremely friendly and helpful. The location in the centre of town is also perfect for all the sights

As the name says, it is a pretty chill hostel. Decent bar down stair, fun pub crawl every night, and good atmosphere to meet many people. Rooms were not bad but instead of beds they have a cubicle looking cells and mattress in each cubicle. It looked and felt weird but it is surprisingly comfortable. The only downside was that ac in the room was weak and had trouble with sleeping because of it.
