Doesn't even deserve any star !! They do treat patients like animals. They allow the patient to move with the patient as well. I was witnessing a blow to a patient who was tied because it was noisy. At least they noticed and visited. When someone starts cleaning they don't immediately clean up. There was a patient who had strangled himself, removed the leash and allowed him to remove dextrose. They also treat the patient. What a shame! "When I want to tie you up, I tie you up. You can't do anything" jusko

Mental health is an open issue now be it as common as anxiety and panic attacks. Those feelings that we take for granted will take its toll in our bodies and minds in the long run. Going to the proper doctors can greatly assist clients who did not even know they have underlying conditions that can have effects on their lives and their families as well. There are good psychiatrists in NCMH and can help those who suffer in silence, in coping up. NCMH houses a massive nature-nurtured community, serene ambience and a very airy atmosphere which is good for the mind and the soul. Salute to the medical personnel and even to the caretakers of this great facility.

BEAT DOWNS and REMINDED ME OF NAZIS GERMANY!

BEAT DOWNS and REMINDED ME OF NAZIS GERMANY!
Philippines and their mental health directors/managers/ and psych attendees believe in choke outs and hitting in testicles when patients are already in restraints hands and feet already bound so there is 0% resistance. I gave 0 resistance on all 3 of my beat downs.
NAZIS GERMANY
Because there are no patient rights. Patients are treated like dogs. Philippines truly treats its patients like the old words of insane asylum...no respect, just disrespect. Everything is up to the doctor and patients are kept locked up doing med trials speaking with a doctor for 5 minutes every week. It is modern day Nazis Germany because there are beat downs on the patients, ghoulish psych attendees, and of course supported by management. Mental health in the Philippines needs a gross overhaul for this to be called anything but ABUSIVE USE OF POWER by Doctors and staff.

I was on the phone with them for one hour and 20 minutes to obtain ONE simple answer. All I needed to know was the general scope of obtaining a certificate proving my Mental Well being aka - psychological evaluation. The operator of the psychological department, Records section and "out-patient" section kept transferring me to one another cluelessly and I still ended up with no answer. operator of "279" was sarcastic and rude. i believe her name was ellie. You all need to be more professional and helpful, this was an awful experience.

About National Center for Mental Health

The National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) is a government-owned and operated mental health facility in the Philippines. It is the country's largest mental health institution, providing comprehensive psychiatric services to patients of all ages.

The NCMH was established in 1928 as the Insular Psychopathic Hospital, with a mission to provide quality care and treatment for individuals suffering from mental illness. Over the years, it has evolved into a modern facility that offers a wide range of services, including diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and research.

One of the key features of NCMH is its commitment to patient-centered care. The staff at NCMH understands that each patient has unique needs and concerns when it comes to their mental health. As such, they work closely with patients and their families to develop personalized treatment plans that address their specific needs.

In addition to its clinical services, NCMH also plays an important role in promoting mental health awareness and education throughout the Philippines. The center regularly conducts seminars and workshops on various topics related to mental health, including stress management, depression prevention, suicide prevention, and more.

At NCMH's official website (https://www.ncmh.gov.ph/), you can find information about all of its services as well as resources for patients and families dealing with mental illness. The website also provides access to online counseling services for those who may not be able to visit one of NCMH's physical locations.
