Beautiful beach. I love coming here with the children.
Great place to have an evening outside gathering,Big park with lots of shade and sun spots, farmer's market on selected weekends, basketball courts and baseball diamonds.
The newer natural areas here are a great addition to the lake view.
I love coming here to walk my dog and to take in some fresh air and sunshine. It is a good place to come for some meditation, boat watching, even fishing. I've even seen some young couples bring pillows and blankets to have a nice little picnic . Oh yeah and it doesn't matter what time of the year it's a beautiful site, just dress warmly in the winter
Doesn't get much better than this. Great park in the best city in the world.

My most favorite place on the bike path along the lake front trail
The home of Northerly Island a great place for outdoor concerts.
The nature walking area is good for seeing birds and the city skyline.
We had a good time here walking and enjoying the Lakeview. There is a paved road for biking, jogging, and walking. You would have to pay $2 an hour for parking
One of the many beautiful, lakefront parks in Chicago. Great place to ride the lakefront trail with about 1000x less traffic than any section North of the McCormick Center
We had our wedding recently through the Chicago Park District at Promontory Point in Hyde Park. While the venue is STUNNING (which is why we chose it), the process you have to go through to rent a building is rough and filled with a lot of red tape. However, Sheshe, the special events manager, was great to work with. She was helpful and responsive, and made our lives much easier. We are very grateful to her!
Beautiful. Great for walking, biking, running, or just chilling...
My favorite spot on lake shore drive, right by all museums, always a parking spot, good fishing area.
If you ever need motivation to get your workouts done in the wee hours of the morning....this is the best place to be!! I love the cool breeze, fresh air, sunrise, boats on the water...can't beat the view and the STAIRS are to die for
Great large park. A path circles the whole park making it nice for running. They also have a garden, big park, many ball fields, pool, etc.
One of the most beautiful and peaceful spots on the south shore!
