Beautiful location and landscape. Area of tranquility and calmness. Top class facilities and amenities. What impressed me was the quality of food. My experience with hotel restaurants is that they are of a mediocre level. Both restaurants here the Kitchen and the Dining Room where of excellent quality. The Dining Room in particular would challenge some of London top restaurants.
The spa is one of the best I have experienced in England. Facilities and treatments.
Although service is very friendly it is sometimes disjointed. We were a group of 9. When we arrived they could not accommodate us for dinner in any of their two restaurants. We ended up ordering room service which was fine but I would have expected a hotel of this level to have though of this since we had booked months in advance and they were expecting us. We ordered two bicycles and they forgot about it. once we had ordered a baggie to take us to the restaurant and again they forgot about it. So this is an area that would need development.

Visited last week for an afternoon cream tea. Left at an empty table for 20 minutes before service. Insufficient jam for the scones so we asked for a little more, and waited, and waited. In the end we made do and more arrived too late to be More

We stayed in a Treehouse during the time that only self-catering holidays were permitted. So sad (though unsurprised) to find that they are booked up through the summer. Will definitely go back when we can. We could only dine at The Kitchen (outdoor dining only), so can't comment on the Dining Room. But the cooking at the Kitchen and the staff throughout the hotel were fabulous beyond words. Can't recommend enough!

Delicious afternoon tea, beautiful restaurant and attentive service. The freshly baked scones were the highlight! Highly recommended!

Had supper in The Kitchen, which is at entrance gates and a distance from main house. One page menu, which is full of delicious fare. Outside heaters and blankets to keep you warm. Perfect evening for my birthday

Had lunch, excellent meal, everyone there happy to be back at work. Obviously, more expensive than most locations, it still has that sparkle of somewhere to spoil someone at on special occasions

Afternoon tea. The surroundings are lovely and it is a great place to visit and stay but the afternoon tea was nothing special. Whilst of course we could request more, the sugar bowl was practically empty, small jug of milk and insufficient double cream for the quantity of scones. Sandwiches mediocre. On the plus side lovely scones and plenty of cakes.

Excellent mother s day afternoon tea. Superb value, the quality was excellent. Did not know what to expect, but it came in a lovely wicker basket, beautiful home made food and some extra treats in the form of beauty products. Did not realise how much Mum would like it. Back in the good books!

For an out of this world experience I highly recommend the treehouses, private and exclusive and an unforgettable. The staff were highly accommodating and relaxed. From the moment you arrive you are treated like royalty and nothing is too much to ask of them. You have access to buggies that will take you to and from your treehouse. The breakfast hamper that arrives in the morning is truly a banquet. Even fresh salmon is available if you wanted. The staff are sure to ask if you have any requirements or what your favourite things are. Also the roast dinner was gorgeous. If you have the chance to experience this escape take it with both hands!!

Went to the spa was fabulous from the moment we walked in the greeting was lovely from the receptionist and my facial by Alisa was perfect and such a lovely girl made you feel relaxed from the moment she welcomed me .restaurant staff in the spa where friendly helpful and very professional all in all would 100% go again and also tell friends to go if visiting the new forest Angus watson
