Such a nice place , pool and hot tube great and breakfast was good as well , clean and we'll kept
Very good central location, parking literally outside of your room, TV and WIFI included, but cleanliness and service for breakfast could be definitely improved.
Large rooms, traffic and noise will disturb the neighbors. Breakfast a little spartan but enough. Pool Sections for small norm pool, hot tub and steam room with shower. Friendly staff.
Loved our stay here, the room was beautiful and spacious
We had a wonderful stay at the Charlton's, and could not give enough praise to the staff. Our rooms were lovely and clean, but the customer service was what made our experience so enjoyable. The staff at the reception and the buffet breakfast were so kind and welcoming it warmed my heart. Thank you for making our brief stay with you a memorable one :)
Cute loft room. Friendly service. Nice hot breakfast.
Rooms were VERY small, sheets had questionable stains. It was a fine stop over but I can t imagine staying very long with a family
Stayed 6 nights. Breakfast isn't great but it gets you going. The location was good, 7-10 minutes walk to the center of Banff. I liked it and I would return.
I stayed here with my husband and two kids. The room is really spacious and the bathroom is huge for motel/hotel type of accommodation. Our room had two queen sized beds, which were OK (way too soft for my liking, but it was OK for the kids). The pool has just re-opened which was great and kids loved it. The parking is free at the hotel's property and it's really nice they have video security in it. Location is great, walking distance to everything, which means a lot considering traffic jam and no parking throughout the downtown Banff. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room itself could have been cleaned better, but the sheets were clean and the bathroom was clean, so not that bad. There are plenty of power sockets throughout the room, which is amazing! Overall, it is a good value for the price and I would recommend it.
Great rooma and service. Clean and really great staff.
Nice place, however, it felt a bit cheap. Good breakfast service and really helpful and understanding staff. We had a loud heater and they offered us a new room. They also allowed us to check in early once the room was ready.
Showed up on Christmas day and the staff was so friendly. Wished us a Merry Christmas. Even before we arrived they provided us places to order food and different specials to have food delivered during the restrictions. Bed is so comfortable and so are their chairs. Highly recommend. Also quiet.
Spacious guestroom and bathroom; but very dated furniture and carpet and we found garbage on the floor so I guess no proper vacuuming done every checkout.
Had a fantastic stay over Christmas 2013 here, staff were very accommodating and loft room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast every morning was convenient but wore thin by the end of our stay, needed some bacon and eggs!!
Santa even stopped by!!
Loved the loft suite! We stayed there as part of our honeymoon, the rooms were very clean and service was excellent!
Our room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed is super comfortable, front end staff are super nice and fast. The breakfast is gross, continental breakfasts are always a joke. For the price they should consider upgrading their breakfast, more people would come if it had a stellar breakfast. My main complaint is the security guard. We came back from dinner around 1130 pm and he told us we cant come in as they are closed? Um, no. Move and let me go to my room
Good location. A few blocks down from the main Banff Ave strip of stores. Friendly staff. The loft room was comfortable but the king bed was very stiff and hard. Good breakfast in the morning. Would stay again.
Decent location, not too far out of downtown Banff. Quiet. Friendly staff. Coffee at breakfast was terrible though.
Great location, free parking, free Wi-Fi, lady on reception was very helpful and friendly.
They can be better... being safe doesn't mean be cheap... had to walk 3 blocks for breakfast..
Very good location, helpful staff. But a little bit too pricey
I booked this hotel for 2 nights for my first experience in Banff. I arrived around 5:45pm and our check in time was for 4:00pm. When we arrived to the front desk the receptionist said our room is not ready and please allow them 30 minutes to finish cleaning. We said ok and took a quick walk even though we wanted to head to our room. We went back after 30 minutes and the room still wasnt ready so we headed to a local restaurant for dinner. When we finally got back and the room was ready we proceeded to the room. To our surprise we walked into a totally different and incomparable room. It was nothing we expected. For 2 nights the total cost was approximately $510.00. A room that was supposed to be ready for 4pm but wasn't ready until 7pm because they were "cleaning." We went back to reception and was told the room was an upgrade. Long story short the room was disgusting, the service was an inconvenience and what was advertised is not what we received.
Nice place to stay in Banff. Clean rooms and friendly staff.
Decent rooms, 10 minute walk to downtown Banff.
Only complaint, walls are a little thin.
Nice rooms, but the view is no good for we were facing an "underground" parking lot. Great for sleeping and breakfast only. Everything was clean and provided.
My only issue was the WiFi quality in the farthest rooms.
Average place if they alot you to stay at ground floor rooms, over priced
Room kinda smelled lpatio was good and food was decently
The Charlton's is close to the entrance of Banff, right off the main road. It is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. We had a king loft, which was great and spacious. Room was very clean. Would definitely stay here again.
Just ok. Room had very dated furniture, was filthy behind the bed, and had very poor lighting. The outlet on one side of the bed didn't work so couldn't have light or charge the phone. Breakfast was complimentary but at the Evergreen restaurant two hotels down and was absolutely terrible.
Stayed here for a Saturday night Nov 24/18 the price was reasonable, the room was clean, bright and comfortable. Staff was really friendly, pool/ jacuzzi area were relaxing, the continental breakfast had enough options of hot and cold food, parking was included and near by the room which was convenient. Taxi ride into the banff core was cheap and walk back was quick... I return!
Nice and clean rooms. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Walking distance to downtown.
We stayed in one of the loft units and found it very spacious for the two of us. If you are not a fan of stairs then I wouldn't suggest it. The hotel was clean and the property was well kept; nothing looked worn or broken. The location is a about a 10-15 minute walk from downtown, making it a good distance away from the crowded areas but still beats driving and parking. We only had one minor issue (room was too hot) and it was addressed within minutes of phoning the front desk. WiFi is available here, although it slows down when lots of people are on it, adjust expectations accordingly for the mountains. It is likely that we will stay here again on our next trip to Banff.
The room that we got was fantastic. Two rooms and a small kitchenette - perfect for us and a couple kids. Breakfast was meh (ha, I have no idea what the meat was), but the staff were friendly and accommodating and the room was clean.
Good experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit dated but they've done a good job with it. The wifi is not very good.
Decent hotel, nicely upgraded rooms they recently updated. The free breakfast was really disappointing. Not much of a selection, especially for what you pay to stay there. If they upgraded the breakfast for theirs quests I think it would go a long ways. The pool was great, and we mostly had it to ourselves for our kids to swim and splash.
Our suite was way too small to comfortably accommodate 3 people. The beds were old and uncomfortable. We were unable to keep the room at a consistent temperature
Rooms were nice and the bathrooms were awesome! The staff was pleasant and kept to themselves. I would absolutely stay there again.
Hotel is nicely situated, staff is quite friendly but it is dated and could use some upgrading. Would have given it a higher rating but found the bed terribly uncomfortable and the air circulating unit is very noisy in the room. Made for challenging sleeps.
I will come back here! It is really nice and cozy. Right in-front of the hotel is a mountain. Pool is clean and it has sauna as well. I will recommend this place to everyone!
Nice kitchenette rooms but the A/c was only in twin bedroom which wasn t good enough if you sleeping in queen bedroom. Hotel is very clean and well
Maintained. Yuna checked us in and she was very friendly. While sitting in the deck and having coffee we asked the guy who was watering the flowers few directions and he was very helpful. After our dinner we went to front desk and ask the lady where we can go for dessert and she directed us to their sister hotel Delta..Thank you for the coupons which we couldn t use as they were for entree only......but the desserts were nice.
Nice hotel with swimming pool and whirlpool good breakfast
Over priced. Floors were creaky and un even in my loft.
Good hotel, good location, reasonable service, bad breakfast ... The tables are large all with heating, air conditioning, good bed, a little noisy due to the wooden mesanino. Price within the region's standard, right!
The rooms are beautifully decorated. Indoor swimming pools available. The location is also good. Parking available.
Budget Hotel in Banff. Staff was friendly rooms were acceptable. Breakfast is very Continental and cheap.
Not really happy. Staying here at the moment. The room is actually on the parking lot. Opened the door and looked at the garage. I have a feeling like I'm underground... And you have to put your boots and jacket to go to the pool. Ridiculous... Not coming back here for sure
The rooms are nice for families. The pool temp is to cold to be enjoyable.
The concept of the rooms are good (i.e. having a loft area) but the rooms could definitely do with an upgrade. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
Good price. Great room with plenty of space and a pull out couch. Love the bathroom and the amenities.
The staff is fantastic!! Extremely pleasant and accomodating. The place itself is very clean and very well maintained. I'm giving it a 3-star because the sofa bed could have been more comfortable. (I should check with my friend on how the comfort of the bed was.) I'm also giving it a 3-star because it has very simple breakfast options and has no restaurant of its own. It's a perfect place to stay when you don't want to spend a lot of money and need a clean and safe place to rest for the night.
Room was clean. The fire place was nice! The pool was also really nice. I will be back!
Affordable accommodation in Banff. Very friendly staff. Ski storage shed with locks provided. Individual door access.
Pictures of our king loft made it look much bigger but it was alright. Bad lighting in the room, roof light was burnt out and also very disappointed that the fireplace was broken
Room was really small . Carpet was old and completely warn out . Bottom floor was cold and top floor was boiling hot. Way overpriced . Pool was small and nothing special . Parking was crowded . Save your money and stay somewhere else . Only gave it 2 stars because the staff were awesome about giving me a refund .
Great stay the only reason it's not a 5 star review is that their parking is disorganized and the staff at the breakfast place were not doing a great job
We used the parkade multiple times during our stay. The truck went in and out no problem until the last time leaving. Their signage states we should have 1 inch clearance but they have wood posts hanging down that are not inline with the rest of the parkade clearance. The post got caught on our moonroof. We had to let air out of the truck s tires to prevent further damage to the truck. When talking to the hotel their response is they are painted yellow so you should know they are a different height . There is no signage stating to avoid those areas of the parkade (in fact it is difficult to manoeuvre in the parkade without coming into those areas). $1300 to replace the damaged moonroof. Hotel manager was rude and condescending when talking to her about the issue. Would not recommend staying at this hotel based purely on the employees and their attitude.
Nice amenities and the staff is wonderful. However, our room had paper thin walls. We heard everything all night long... EVERYTHING. We stayed in a king loft suite. Very clean rooms though and very clean surroundings. Great location. The continental breakfast could use a bit of work, especially for the price you pay for a room.
Great location but the service was subpar.
The rooms are only cleaned once in 4 days.
You have to go down to reception to ask for fresh towels/ toiletries daily, as these are not provided except you ask.
No dining area, you have to walk down to a different location to eat - I'm wondering how this works out in winter.
Great food, attentive staff, and quick service. If you want to avoid waits at dinnertime, reserve or arrive before 5 pm. Awesome all around dining experience. Pizza was delicious:)
Rooms a little spartan but welcoming. The breakfast room is very small and we had to rely on the nearby Delta
Such a wonderful place to stay . The service is fantastic , and it is very clean. We stayed in the King Loft room, very romantic and cozy with the fire place. The heated bathroom floors was a really nice touch! Can't wait to go back :)
Cozy and friendly hotel. Stayed in their main bldg kitchenette with two bedrooms with facilities in between rooms. Should be great for 2 couples or fam of 4. Kitchen was just adequately provisioned, had micro and stowtop. Though slightly dated we found it charming and clean. The pool and hottub are smallish but clean, big windows and handsomely tiled, where we saw a snow rainbow. Good location for skibus pickup so you always make the first bus but a good 10 minute walk downtown. Best part for us was the excellent staff, especially Paula and Elia who treated us like royality. Comp continental breakfast was just that with fruit, yogurt, hardboiled eggs, toast, and sweetie. Pretty good coffee too.
Nice clean rooms. Parking underneath makes it very close to any of the rooms.
Very nice hotel. Only exception is that the walls are quite thin. Next door sounds seem like they are coming from your own room.
Nice clean hotel in a decent location with plenty of parking. Would be nice if the Loft rooms had a microwave.
The room was really nice, along with the ambiance. The shower was really dirty as there was mucus on the walls. I had to use wipes to get rid of them, shower and was walls a bit before my wife saw how dirty it was.
Older hotel, but well run. Very comfortable, clean and quiet, good wifi, great staff, good price point, excellent for families, and the free breakfast was amazing!!!
