My fiance surprised me by taking me to Banff for the New Years but room was not too bad... Could use some kinda of update but still decent.
Don t waste your money. Rooms are really creaky and the walls are thin. Staff are unaccommodating and genuinely don t care about their guests, just there to take their money, won t do anything to help you out if you re unhappy with your room condition.. No coffee or microwave in the room. Wish we never stayed here, we learned the hard way
Watch out for the steam room. They have pipes pointing at your feet where the steam comes out. Everybody was burning their feet
We had a beautiful room with a loft bed and a fireplace in the main entrance/living area. The customer service at the front desk was also excellent! Only downfalls were that we didn't have any sort of view except that of the building beside us and the price was a little on the high end.
Not worth the price.
Well where do i start. First we got a room that the upgraded us for on their own. We got our room back because of the lovely receptionest. Then , well i'd guessed its not the same as pictures but not as much.
The room was clean. Overly hot and the view was kinda non-existant.
The bathroom was big but no garbage bag in the garbage bucket which is overly un sanitized.
The breakfast was good but seriosly it was closed at 10 am on a sunday !!!!!!
The pillows and bed were not comfy at all.
For the good things i gave a three. But no i wont be back !
This is a nice spot for a brief stay. The staff are great and the location is nice. However, the rooms are dated with poor sound proofing. You'll be hearing all the arguments or fun had by your neighbors.
Awesome breakfast. Room was fantastic. Quiet. Great location. Comfortable sleep. Clean. Friendly service.
Lovely quiet out of town hotel, comfortable beds, Huge bathroom with separate shower, Nice friendly staff,
I gotta say that this one one of the cheapest hotel when we booked and it was a lot better than we expected our rooms had 2 bedroom! It's a little far from downtown but still walkable. Recommended !
Mediocre room, cleaning staff came in at strange hours without warning, electrical outlets didn't work.
Room seemed a little dated, beds were fine. Towels were typical for a hotel bleached and dried so not very soft. Breakfast was alright. Though there was a bit of lack luster choice. Boiled eggs had parts of shell on still.
Very nice and clean rooms. 20 mun walk to main village.
Nice enough but seemed pricey for very outdated rooms. Pool area is nice. Front desk was friendly and professional.
Very nice place. Clean friendly staff. Would recommend staying at this place.
A little lower end then the pictures made it seem, especially for the price. Staff where friendly but the note left inside all the rooms felt very hostile, stating fines and removal from the grounds if any rules are broken. This may be there for good reason as I'm sure parties go on in the rooms often. Staff were friendly but no restaurant on site.
Very nice and spacious rooms, good service and close to everything. Smack in the middle of Banff downtown. Breakfast is not so great but it does the job. Would prefer some more hot breakfast items.
Nice and quiet during the week. Really liked the loft rooms. Decent price. Friendly staff. Very accommodating.
Fine country-typical hotel, breakfast is easy getting used to for Europeans, otherwise quiet Top
Room was clean, nice setup and was enjoyable to stay in. Hotel is on banff Ave so close to many restaurants and attractions.
Very nice rooms, quiet, have no noise policy after 11pm, friendly and helpful staff. We took the kitchenette room with two queen bed rooms so it had all the kitchen supplies. Only problem was one of the queen bedroom had no AC and the kitchen didn't have it either so it was very hot in there except for one room with the AC
Visited on one of the coldest winter weekends. Room was clean, quiet rooms, easy onsite parking.
Beautiful place to stay! We had the loft with king bed and it was amazing- It had a spiral staircase, two tv's, a fireplace, and a living area. It also had air conditioning which is always a must for me! I will say the best part was probably how big and comfortable the bed was, definitely worth every penny. It also comes with complimentary breakfast that was also very yummy. The one thing is that I wish It had a tub, although the shower was huge and very nice!
Most positive, Clean and nice hotel, staffs are friendly and nice. Room is big (maybe because we had the luxury upgrade). The negative part is no dinning area, we need to walk to another hotel for breakfast (lucky only 3 mins walk) and parking spots are limited. If your check-in time is after 7 p.m., you might not be able to found parking there. Especially, during this high volume visiting time.
Some really good features like rooms with 1 double and 2 singles. Decent bikes to use no charge but seat height not adjustable. Friendly staff but room cleaning is gone unless you insist then it gets done by appt. Pool available but closed due to covid. Nice hot breakfast but have to walk 2 blocks to another hotel. Some deal they arranged.
We enjoyed our stay here! We stayed in a single room with a king size bed and it was perfect for myself, my husband, and our 18 month old. We enjoyed the continental breakfast (limited vegan/gf options), and we had a blast in the pool/hot tub!
There was construction going on during our stay but we didnt notice it much as they started at a reasonable time and they were always done long before we were ready to go to bed.
Construction would have been a problem for our child during nap time, but thankfully she napped in the stroller while we were out during the day.
Perfect walking distance to the main part of Banff.
Staff were very friendly and our room was clean.
Pretty good. Fairly outdated but the rooms are really neat. The breakfast is not very good at all but the hotel is nice
The loft room was cute and small. The pictures on the website made it look much bigger then it actually was. The wine open was super dirty and the knobs for the closet were broken. The TV on the main floor was in a weird position compared to the couch.
I really loved the fire place. The bedroom loft was lovely. Spent most us our time there including eating our meals.
Everyone that worked here was friendly and helpful. Right on the main road and a nice distance to walk into town.
We stayed here 6 years ago and felt it was the ideal location in the centre of Banff close to all attractions. Would highly recommend.
Nice place the two-story apartment with spiral staircase is not really comfortable as the bathroom is below and the bedroom above
Great hotel, only slight fault was that we found the beds hard
Great rooms, slightly dated but eceptionally clean. Great location easy walk anywhere in town site. Continental breakfast was also very well stocked.
Stayed here for a last minute kid free weekend with my husband. Booked a king suite for a good rate a week before. Arrived for check in just before 4, front desk lady was nice, check in was fast. We were on the 3rd floor and were given directions how to get there via the stairs. Unfortunately they're under construction and all the outoor stair acess to the third floor was gone, very frustrating. Elevator is closed 11pm-7am as well.
Room was OK pretty simple a bit outdated quite small and bathroom was VERY small! Bed was decent, mattress was soft but the blanket was a thin sheet. Not very warm or cozy. The in room heating system was very loud and was either very hot or not hot at all. Huge gap in the door that leads outside too.
Walls were paper thin. Could hear alot in our room even with TV on.
Shower had very inconsistent temperature at times it randomly turned to scalding hot temps, super unsafe.
Hot tub was luke warm at best, disappointing. Also the breakfast area and lobby had huge windows looking into the pool and hottub area, felt a bit invasive.
Provided breakfast was the worst I had seen in a hotel. Very little selection.
Overall, good for a quick stay or a cheap stay but if I have a choice I do not think I will stay here again.
Best hotel in Banff, a little pricey, but in summer time that is the going rate.
I had a one private bedroom and a second room with another bed, tv and dresser. Beds were super comfy, in the center of both rooms is the kitchen, bathroom with shower only, and a separate area to do hair and makeup.
I would definitely stay here again.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Room had free wifi.
Pictures to come soon
Good location, ok breakfast menu but outdated rooms...
Rooms were clean. Front fest people were amazing however, breakfast was not good. Sorry, my only complaint.
No hot water to shower......and it's not very clean. Would I stay again? Nope.
Clean room, friendly service. A bit of a walk to downtown Banff but well worth a stay.
Hotel staff was very friendly on check-in. The gentleman working the desk was very informative. The COVID restrictions are something to get used to as a traveler. The pool just recently opened and looked wonderful. With COVID, the pool area was restricted and by appointment only. The front desk let us know on check-in, leaving no room for disappointment later if we didn't plan properly. Situated just a walk away from the Downtown, this is a great location for a good price.
A very charming hotel with unique room layouts. Very comfortable place with good service.
This place is so bad
I ve spent the worst night ever
The room has no privacy the bedroom windows in the way that Peppa walk so everyone will see u if you close the curtains no light too dark you will habe no sun light at all the beds so small it smells so bad also
I will never come again!!!!!!!!
Great hotel. They completely remodeled the third floor rooms. No details were missed in the remodeled rooms. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was great with a rain shower head. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and informative. Parking was a breeze and free. They had a breakfast that included sausage, hard-boiled eggs, toast, croissants, bagels, fruit, waffles, orange juice, good coffee, tea, etc included in the price of the room. They appeared to have a nice indoor pool and hot tub but we didn't take advantage of it. Internet was good, and it was a quick 10 minute walk to the hotel. Overall, a good comfortable hotel with nice rooms. My thoughts are based off of staying in the remodeled rooms. Would highly recommend and try to get one of the remodeled rooms!
Hotel room was small but the staff was very friendly and location is great!
Told the room had a view but it was of the hotel wall next door. They were happy to upgrade our room at an extra $100 a night to actually have a view. Fancy electric blinds in the new room would not close and maintenance wouldn t come out at night to fix it. We re not offered any compensation for the inconvenience. There are nicer places to stay for the same price.
Very nice rooms and staff. Short walk from downtown. Free breakfast is a nice bonus.
Great value! Clean pool! Airconditioning! Friendly staff!
Amazing rooms and services. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Our "mountain view" room had the stunning spectacle of trash bins along a back road, leftover popcorn from a previous occupant, a coffeemaker (with no coffee), a tepid shower at best, and a continental breakfast three buildings down.
This Super 8 with a deceptive coat of paint was definitely not worth the price and we will not be returning.
Very clean, and super friendly/helpful staff. The room set up, we had 2 bedroom with kitchenette, was perfect. Loved our stay!
I love this hotel so much! This is the second time we stay here. We always choose the loft room. It's so cozy and makes you feel like you're in a cabin. I love all of the wood features. The furniture is in great shape and the bathroom has been updated. The only wear that we noticed are the carpets in our room. It's unique in the way that the halls are outside on catwalks. It's a tad cold in the winter but who cares? The staff are great (especially the janitorial staff). The pool and hot tub aren't huge but it's never crazy busy and it's really quite nice with big windows and stone and cedar walls. I do really love it here, it's been so quiet and wonderful. It's not the Fairmont but it really feels like home in other ways. I would recommend it anytime.
Cute homey feeling. Unfortunately COVID hindered some ammentities like the pool and house keeping. The free breakfast isn't located on site, but at the sister hotel about 50 feet away. The staff are very friendly an accommodating.
Great place to stay, close enough to downtown Banff to be able to walk everywhere but not so close that you get all the congestions that comes with downtown.
Good hotel, breakfast included. Unfortunately our room was very dark. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi and parking were available for free. Cleanliness in the whole hotel was very good. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room was quite loud.
Comfy place. Staff were very nice. Pool was also good and were able to enjoy our time there. Breakfast felt lacking and food was really cold. Few squeaky floorboards in the room. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.
The room was cozy and they gave a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and truffles as an anniversary gift. The elevator was small but it was useable.
The room that we stayed in was a double two story room which was nice. The A/C machine in the upper area was noisy and didnt really seem to do much cooling. The continental breakfast was nothing to brag home about.
No bar, very noisy rooms and services, dark rooms, good location, no restaurant but basic breakfast quiet good.
Super good service! Nice location, gorgeous pool. The breakfast was good but could've been better imo. Nice place though!
Was visiting a friend there. Seemed very clean, friendly staff working
The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was lovely, however the walls are paper thin and I could hear EVERYTHING... (Yes, everything!) that was happening in the neighbours room. Not the best way to try to fall asleep...
3stars is probably generous, but for the price, you get what you pay for. Rooms are nice but walls are thin and there is a lot of noise transfer. The updated heating & cooling in each room is not adjustable, and we found temperature regulation difficult and overly noisy. Pool area is nice, and staff are fine to interact with. Continental Breakfast however, is absolutely deplorable, and should best be avoided. There are so many other breakfast options available down the street!
Great place to stay in Banff, heated underground parking for $7, could upgrade to RFID card. Shower and cleanness is good. Great hot breakfast, sauna was not turned on
slick setup! This place had the authentic ski lodge feel. Out room was two levels and we loved it. A fire place and all the comforts of home.
Awesome. Great room and service with breakfast and parking.
We were in an annex of the hotel which was rather a motel, no dining room, no lobby. The main building is outdated and unpretentious. I do not recommend it especially.
It's good, clean and friendly staff. One thing I hate was the WiFi coz it was too slow.
Good service and location in Main street. Quite pricey though, and lots of alternatives so choose wisely.
New clean but pool overbooked even after wait of 2 days
Nicely located a short walk away from downtown. Friendly staff. Very limited breakfast and room heating A/C system very ineffective. Rooms start to look dated but are clean.
Room was nice and cosy. Comes with coffee maker and mini fridge which was handy, my room had loft and fireplace which were definitely wins. Outside noise can be distracting from other rooms
The room was fairly small and very different from the advertised images.
