It had been a family tradition for years to head to Charlotte for Memorial Day weekend for the Coca-Cola race. Some of the family camps out by the track some stay in hotels. Their are so many awesome camp grounds within walking distance to the track. Some of them also have shuttles the take people back and forth from the campgrounds. We also usually buy package which includes tickets to practice, qualifying on Friday, Saturday and then the big race Sunday. I love lowes motor speedway the staff is great the facilities are well-maintained and amazing. Great food and souvenir vendors. There is always fun stuff to do around the track. Live music, games, displays, museum, and meet and greet with drivers. The whole city of Charlotte celebrates race week! So much fun! Warning if this your first race, the Coca-Cola is a long race!lol. Stay hydrated and stay cool. Don't be like my friend and party so hard all weekend that you can't stay awake for the race!!!

If you are a nascar fan it is the place to be on race day. The staff and volunteers are all welcoming and can answer any questions you have and more. They also host some really great car shows and concerts here. Overall one of my favorite places to see racing at its finest

Came here just after Christmas while visiting family in the area to see the Christmas lights and it was amazing. Loved the display and that they had a Christmas movie playing were you could sit on the infield and watch. Walking through the garage where there were vendors and food stands was also amazing but we were more interested in seeing the garage than the vendors.

The Christmas light show was amazing!! The most lights I have ever seen. It seemed to go on forever! They even had a movie playing on the giant screen. Most of the lights are synchronized to music that you can tune in to in your car. Christmas village looked pretty cool too but we didn t have time to stop. Best light show ever!

My favorite race of the year (every year)is the Memorial Day weekend Coca-Cola 600 because Charlotte Motor Speedway always does it up right. No other sport does as much to celebrate our wonderful military as NASCAR and the Coca-Cola 600 is proof of that. We were blessed to win pit passes, so we spent most of the time in the pits and garage ares and we had a blast. Every employees was busy working but still had time to smile and be kind, even answer some questions for us. The military personnel were absolutely epic.
