Our real estate agent that we used was not very go...

Our real estate agent that we used was not very good. He did disclose up front that he was working for the buyer and the builder, but in reality it was all for the builder. Long story short, they will say anything to make you feel like you are getting a deal but when push comes to shove, our agent always sided with the builder meaning that we were given excuse after excuse on why things were not getting done. I didn't receive keys to my house from my agent until three days after closing and they were copies, not the originals. I didn't get the originals until almost two months of living in the house. (Thankfully I had re-keyed the house by then). After working with them they will pretty lie and tell you all of these great and wonderful things to get to buy with them and once you have you will never hear or see them again and the promises and great and wonderful things never happen.

Bre Davis was very open and willing to help us out in finding a home. She really went the extra mile in coordinating everything from contacting the seller's agents to setting up inspections. All I had to do was show up! You can sense when someone is actually interested in helping you out. Feeling that from Bre really gave me alot of assurance.

Adriane Baxter worked flawless magic with our home purchase. She was flexible, patient, and extremely attentive (not to mention hilarious and kind!). She explained everything in such a calm and clear manner, which really aided us as we are first time home buyers. She will be recommended for a lifetime!

Very disappointing in the service rendered. After listing and selling my home with this brokerage. They had us in a buyers contract. Which was explained to me as any listed home. Well The agent Mike Stengal was well aware that I was Thinking about building . And when I asked it to be specified in the contract that I could build on my own and there would be no percentage to the broker unless I purchased a listed home and would they receive the standard commission. Well the agent and broker Matt Barton informed me contract I entered would be enforced on any property even if I built it myself. I ended up having to wait the contract out. And bought a home with no agents involved and I must say it was very easy to do. I will never use this brokerage and will pass my experience on when I feel it necessary. VERY POOR ETHICS FROM AGENT AND HIS BROKER!!!

Ms Terry is not the most open nor honest agent. She does not like to be honest, but does play dirty pool well. We made an offer on a home she was the agent for. We were ready to buy, our agent did all the paper work for an offer, we signed the papers that night. Our agent worked late at night to email her the signed offer. She would not take any phone calls. We waited 3 days and were told we did not get it. The next day we found out the owners of the home were not ready to move for 3,4,or 5 months. Had we known this we never would have even considered this home as we were ready to buy, close and move. Left a message for her manager a Mr. Barton who has yet to return my call. Buyer beware has never been more true than with this firm. Carl Sherman, Tara's father.

Do NOT work with Century 21 Everest. The brokers are awful and unfair to work with -- often giving excuse after excuse. The company hired on multiple agents from many companies too fast and did not dedicate time to educating and training the agents. They are MONEY HUNGRY and will take you for all you're worth. Go to a better brokerage and pay a 6% commission instead of the 7% commission this agency charges because they're "just that good."

BUYERS/SELLERS BEWARE!

I listed with Everest Realty Group. Very bad experience. Make sure you get everything in writing and read it carefully. I wouldn't believe anything they tell you that is not it writing. You would be wise to tape all telephone and personal conversations, I was naive to think I was hiring an agent to represent my interests. It soon became apparent that that was not the case.

Our agent is top notch. Jeremy Leger. He is doing our 3rd home buy right now. I didnt give 5 cause I have no idea how everyone else is and the ridiculous standard rates for buying and selling are insane. I dont think it should be a percentage. I think a flat rate with incentives would be better but what are ya gonna do.

We used The Terry team (Jessica and Jennifer Terry) for our home buying and selling experience and it was WONDERFUL! We were worried our home wouldn't sell with the condition of the back yard. We had offers almost immediately and sold well above listing price. We also had wonderful advocates on the buying side. The whole team is amazing! I love how organized, professional, prompt, and friendly they all are. They made the whole process a lot easier and less stressful. I definitely recommend them.

Johnson Group part of Everest is selling a home down the street from us. Put a sign in the park strip on our corner lot without asking. Sign blocked sprinklers from hitting lawn. Very inconsiderate in my opinion. Hope neighbors switch to a realtor that is actually thoughtful in my opinion.

First off let me say, that I never leave reviews good or bad, but this agent, Phil Blair, was so unprofessional I felt obligated to warn other people away from a horrible agent.

Phil Blair is a real estate agent with Century 21 Everest Propert Management in Salt Lake City, UT. I have been looking for a place to rent and messaged him about the possibility of stopping by to look at and maybe rent a nice two bedroom by Capitol Hill. He informed me there was a Dropbox that contained the keys. Alright, completely fine, I stopped by myself, checked it out, locked it back up and asked him a few simple questions. He was not only blunt in his initial response but simply chose to ignore the majority of my concerns. Such as the other tenants who chose to park their car on the lawn out front. Yes I also have photos for proof. When I asked him kindly for further clarification as to my concerns over the span of a few days since I was so interested. He ignored all of my texts, he didn't even have the dignity to respond in any manner.

If you want a real estate agent who will ignore you and your concerns at every opportunity Phil Blair is your agent. Please stay as far away from him as possible, find a different agency and agent with better reviews. The place you choose to live and your concerns should be important to your agent. He was lazy, rude, unresponsive and uncaring. I can provide proof of our interactions if anyone would like to see. I don't want anyone to rent or buy a home/apartment and have their concerns and issues ignored. There are many real estate agencies, agents, and kinder people in this world. Please save yourself the time and drama and go find one of them.

Best Experience with a real estate company in 20 years. Don't judge the company by an experience with an individual agent. Agents are different! Make sure you make the right choice in agent who uses the resources of the company to their benefit instead of spending time blaming their failures on the company.

As we found ourselves looking to purchase our first home, we crossed paths with Troy Butcher of Century 21. He was helpful and very knowledgeable in explaining the process. He fulfilled his duty of a realtor in that aspect to a T. But when it came to closing he checked out. At closing he informed us that he looked at the place we purchased, said that they cleaned the carpets and did everything on the Fix-it Addendum. Upon receiving the key and looking through our new place, we found out that he lied to us. The carpets weren't cleaned, and everything on the addendum was not done. He helped build a bridge and once it was crossed, he lit it on fire. In the survey from Century 21, it asks if you would refer Troy or Century 21 to anyone. I easily clicked the answer saying "Not likely"

This is a company that truly cares about their clients. They spend a ton of time coaching and training the agents to be the best that they can be. This enables the agents to give the best customer service to their clients. I have never seen a company more committed to the success of their agents.

My worst property management experience I have eve...

My worst property management experience I have ever had comes from Century 21 Everest. It has taken 2 months now to fix a broken dishwasher (which they claimed worked at move in). They didn't give us the keys on the first day. They actually cancelled meeting us to move in and left my wife waiting outside with my baby and mother-in-law for hours in summer, though charged us rent for that day. Refused service and ignored communication at every chance. Had no knowledge of parking and HOA, which took several weeks to figure out after move in. Still have no access to the pool I pay for. It has been 2 months of having exposed nails on the floor and urine in the carpet (both hidden on walk throughs by leaving the windows open and covering the corners) -- still waiting on them to fix it. They have acknowledged it as an issue, but just don't care enough to get it done quickly, with my crawling baby.

The only thing they were good at was communicating right up until they had my money.

Don't walk, RUN away as fast as you can. Agents that blow off appointments and won't return phone calls. Apparently getting a 3% commission to sell property isn't enough for them to act like agents and help clients. I hope this attitude is not a Corporate Century 21 policy.

Worst Real Estate Company ever. Our agent, Tracy, was not professional at all. Asked if she would do an open house and she said her company feels open houses don't sell homes, so one was not done.. Did very little to promote the house. She only kept telling us what she felt was wrong with the house and that we needed to reduce the price (we did not). Spoke with her manager about her as we felt the need to leave their group and find someone who was a lot more professional., but he was as bad as she was and refused to cancel our contract.. Fortunately an agent from another company sold the house. If want a good company DO NOT use these people.

I have worked in real estate for several years with several companies and Century 21 Everest is where I will remain. The environment promotes personal growth and development more than any organization I have been part of. I have become a better leader and better person in the two short years I've worked with this company. The leadership team truly cares about each person's success and wants to see them reach their goals. The agents in this company are the best in the business and are always looking for ways to improve their skill set to better help their customers. If you are looking to buy or sell real estate, call Century 21 Everest!

I had a bad experience with Jason West at this location. I thought I was extremely clear and descriptive about what it was that I was looking for. I felt like he lost focus, and was showing me things that was clearly not what I instructed him that I was specifically interested in. When I sternly but politely tried to make myself clear about what I wanted, and what I didn't want, he told me that I should find another agent to deal with. This should be a very simple concept to understand, but for Mr. Jason West, I guess the concept has completely escaped him. So let me be very specific: When your paycheck is directly dependent on the commissions made from a sale, then in most all of the cases, "The customer is always right." I help make your paycheck bigger as a direct result of my doing business with you. So essentially, the business relationship dictates that I AM YOUR CLIENT. I AM YOUR BOSS. YOU HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU WANT MY BUSINESS. If you can't, or won't deliver what the customer has clearly and specifically asked you to find, then you need to put your big boy pants on and say that you are unable to deliver what the customer wants as requested. Don't go out on your own and show the customer things that the customer did not ask you to find or is not even remotely interested in looking at. I feel that you clearly did not listen to my explanation of what I was looking for from our very first contact. You were completely inattentive to my needs and wants. You are absolutely right though, I need to find another agent! One that will try and find me what I am looking for. There are PUH-LENTY of other agents out there looking for an easy commission. I will certainly take your commission elsewhere to another agent that is ready and willing to do the work to find me what I need. Any others reading this should do the same and not waste YOUR time with this guy. God bless!

The agent that we worked with, Preston Jacobson, was a pretty good guy. We really appreciated his insight into real estate investment and ROI and whatnot. He would be really easy to work with if it wasn t for his broker, Matt Barton. Wat should ve been a respectful, clarifying discussion quickly turned into an extremely uncomfortable conversation. Matt was incredibly rude and derogatory. He interrupted me constantly, tried to tell me what I was saying, and continually tried to turn a business misunderstanding into a personal attack. However, it should be noted that my husbands conversation with him was extremely more respectful. I wasn t much of a feminist before dealing with this guy, now I am. The derogatory mansplaining makes me sick. Ladies, stay far, far away from this guy.

Terrible experience. Our "realtor", Alma Merrill, was terribly unprofessional, and dishonest. Our situation was that we had a house we wanted, and he gave us the pep talk that he could sell our house in time for us to meet our contract obligation with the other house. He talked a lot of talk, but did not deliver. Never felt that as though he wanted to sell our house because of the delays in getting it listed, pricing it correctly, getting pictures, etc. I felt like I was the realtor following up with him on when things were going to get done. We then asked for a release from our contract and were denied because the brokerage believed their "realtor" more than their customer. Seriously, terrible experience. If I could give zero stars I would. By the way, we did not sell with this brokerage, but decided to wait until the contract expired to relist. Looking at the reviews the most positive ones come from the people that work there.

I've been working with Century 21 Everest for the last 5 years and they are THE BEST real estate company I've ever worked for after going through several. I've decided to write a review after seen some bad ones based on experiences with agents that do not follow the training and advice of the brokers. No other brokerage comes close to the training you receive there. They emphasize integrity, loyalty and putting the client first. I can attest that. Agents are independent contractor's. That means the brokers can train and guide but at the end every agent has its own business inside of a business. I just hope that those bad agents get out of there find a broker that fit their low standards. George, John and Rob, you are the best. Thank you for all you do.

We want to thank Joe and his team at Everest Realty Group at Century 21 for helping us sell our house. His honesty and solid advice helped us let go of our house after 20 years. As first-time sellers, we needed an agent who could help us understand the "in's-and-out's" of selling- that was Joe. He had us under a contract within a couple of days. We will be recommending Joe and all of his staff to our family and friends. Again, thank you for all your hard work.

Awesome work environment and fantastic training. I joined C21- ERG (Centerville) branch almost 1.5 years ago and as I talked to agents from other brokerages- I was shocked to hear people's perceptions and misunderstandings of this brokerage. Everest Realty Group have been nothing but encouraging, helpful, meaningful, and welcoming to the family. Agents openly share their strategies and tactics. The morning trainings are a breath of fresh air. The agents who get recruited into the brokerage all say the same thing (in their own way) "I wish I knew about this a long time ago". Seasoned recruits say they do more business than they ever had. There really isn't any secret- it's simple... The enviornment is encouraging... (Not pressuring). It's no wonder ERG (Everest Realty Group) has ranked #1 office in Century 21 brokerages (7,000 offices worldwide) for the last 2 years. Feel free to reach out to me if you want an unbiased opinion or further clarification.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We woke up this morning in our rental and all of the food in our freezer was completely thawed and the fridge was no longer working. When I called the office and talked to Phil, he was so disrespectful and rude and had no urgency to my emergency. In fact he told me it wasn't an emergency. But $150 of food gone bad, in one of their rentals due to a maintenance issue, seems pretty important to me. He was totally unprofessional and having worked in the Apartment Management business for 2 years, I know how to properly take care of this situation and this was not it. We will not be renewing our lease with this company. Consideration, kindness and the ability to promptly help your customers goes a long way. Phil contains none of those characteristics. Becky, however, at the front desk is AMAZING and deserves a raise for her compassion and kindness.

Didn't buy or sell a house through them and I wouldn't if I were you. I'm a neighbor to a house being sold and one of the realtors felt it was ok to damage my property. They used tape to adhere their flyer to my wooden door and messed up my finish. The finish pulled off on the tape! God forbid they put it on my glass storm door or the metal frame. So glad my guests and I get to look at the damage every time we enter my house. If they don't THINK about the little things, how can you trust they would think of the big things?

We worked with Kelly Johnson. She came off as a great agent. As time went on she did less and less. While on numerous vacations and sick leave, she would ask me to do much of phone calls and coordinations with mortgage companies, title companies, etc. We did finally sell our gorgeous mountain home. The final straw was when Kelly cancelled our closing an hour before. She was demanding more commission or we wouldn't close. Of course she was out of town on vacation again. Finally, the broker took over and got the closing completed. Would never deal with this agent again.

Don't believe their insincere attempt to resolve differences. It is fake. I worked for them and experienced the same as Lane Smith. There are some really good agents there, but the brokers are greedy. I was never met with one on one, not once in four months, until they asked me to leave and still charged their $2000 training fee. The most unprofessional, undedicated group of realtors I have ever dealt with!. Every time i have tried to get a hold of one of their agents, they dont answer their phones. They stop answering calls after 5 pm. I had a morality issue with one of their agents Jennifer Terry and their broker brushed it off like it was nothing. It is my opinion that this is one of the laziest and most dishonest brokerages in the business. I would not recommend this brokerage or any of its agents.

My wife and I put an offer on a house who agent was M Lourdes Brinton. We cannot begin to describe the lack of professionalism on her part. We put in an offer to either be accepted or rejected by 5pm on Saturday. The deadline came and went and finally our agent reached out and got a hold of her and she asked if we could set the time for the following day at 5pm. Then a couple hours later she asked if we could wait till Monday at 5pm stringing us out hoping that someone might put in a better offer. We agreed to Monday. Well guess what happened again... deadline came and went without a call from this agent who repeatedly told our agent she would keep in touch with him. No rejection of offer, no negotiation, just plain silence. Wish there was a way to report this borderline unethical behavior.

5/27 update: Company PR called, they are handling the situation. Should expect a call back soon.

We moved to Salt Lake and needed to find a home to buy. I chose our realtor, because he was an acquaintance of mine from years ago and I saw that he was into selling homes in the area. I knew he had a big family and I wanted to help him out. Our realtor was very helpful and attentive while we were searching for a home. Once we entered into a contract and bought a home, he dumped us like a hot potato! A stranger would treat us better! We have bought and sold several homes over the past several years and have not had this type of experience with any Realtor! There have been many issues arise on this house once we moved in, and he has not been helpful. We are now stuck with this place and a lot of problems have popped up that were not disclosed 6 months ago. I had also asked our realtor to get a warranty ""ON THE AC"", (because it was wintertime and I wanted to make sure there weren't any problems with it). He told us that he did this. When I called to have someone come out and take a look at our AC, they tell me it is not included in the warranty. I understand that Century 21 Everest Realty Group has won awards for their customer service. This surprises me with employees like our realtor. Go with a stranger before you put your money on an acquaintance or Century 21 Everest Realty Group. Also I see that the one good review they have on this site is by an employee. Go Figure...

Heather Mercer is one of the MOST AMAZING people from Century 21. She worked fast and walked me through every step of buying a house and made it seem so easy. Her professionalism and kindness made my fears of a first time homebuyer just melt away. I couldn't believe how fast and efficient she made it. She was quick to call, email or text when things were needed. She is an extraordinary realtor! I will definitely use her service at Century 21 to buy again next time. She will be who I refer my friends and family too. I absolutely love, love, loved my experience with buying a house through Century 21 Everest!!!
