Magnificent museum even if you are not fond of modern art, it is a must see ... at least once. We never go out without an opinion and never without talking about it whether we liked it or not.

Ground floor and 1st floor only open. We go around in 1 hour. Quite elitist from the normal blow that this museum is not really successful compared to its investment. But the building is beautiful from the outside. Maybe you have to go back there when there are more exhibitions or collections.

Great place, bright and daring in form. In April, we saw La Peinture La Nuit, magnificent, as well as Lee Ufan and an exhibition of contemporary works from the Pompidou Paris background, all of them interesting and very well developed.

We almost missed the end of the exhibition La Peinture La Nuit, which was on the floor above, because I did not notice any sign indicating that it was necessary to go up.

The Pompidou Center is in the immediate vicinity of the train station, which makes access easy. The brasserie on the ground floor is very good, with reasonable prices.

Apart from this excellent visit, a logistical point that affects many visitors arriving with a cabin bag: for an incomprehensible reason, the maximum baggage dimensions to access Pompidou are fixed at 55x35x20 instead of the 55x35x25 of the IATA standard for whole world. So, we had to make the reverse walk to the train station to find a stationery that agrees to keep the luggage for a small fee. We were the fourth couple of visitors in less than thirty minutes to be turned back because of the baggage ... This measure is a total idiocy, it should at least a clear warning on the website of the Center, or rather of course stalling on the global standard of cabin baggage not to waste their time on visitors.

Other than that, I highly recommend Pompidou-Metz's visit to everyone.

Hello, I am happy to share with you my happiness visits of this center of art and culture architecture very original being messin that makes me may be a little less objective, but that does not prevent me that I always find pleasure to see each exhibition even if some I like more than others. To know that having been a subscriber since 2010, I think I have seen all the collections. Best wishes for the New Year.

Located in the new activity center, Pompidou-Metz is easily accessible for all. The proximity of the underground car park, the Mettis A and B lines, and the SNCF train station mean that a large flow of visitors can come. As soon as we arrived, the exterior attracts the eye, the wood structure is beautiful. As for exhibitions, it's a matter of taste. Overall, we are not really passionate about this kind of art. But it's still to see at least once. We will come back to see the changes announced, but we will avoid Saturday afternoons. Check out the dedicated http site before coming, so you will be able to find out what is currently on display.
Afterwards, you can also go to the hypermarket Muse opposite. This is another (expression) genre that is also very popular. Good day in the new Metz.

Very unfriendly staff !!!
We are teachers and we were refused free entry because our teacher pass had a signature instead of a stamp!
The lady at the reception was very provocative, and her manager just as rude!

I went on a cold, gloomy day in January. The exhibition was interesting and quite rich of pieces of art. Definitely worth going if you are in Metz. I might be spoiled, but I love modern and contemporary art. Hence my high rating.

The programming is generally really good, and the rates offered really interesting. The subscription card is well thought out and accessible. I withdraw a star however, because I would like more change of expo throughout the year.

Fortunately, entry is free with the education pass because I would have asked to be reimbursed otherwise, culture is an excellent excuse to spend millions of taxpayers on hideous and totally useless things called bacon or art depending on the point of view .

Mostly very nice exhibitions with descriptions in French, German and English. The building can also be seen from the outside. Very easy to reach from Metz train station or long-distance bus station.

EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE

EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE

Pompidou Metz is the little brother of the famous Pompidou Paris. This art museum with its fantastic architecture is located in the beautiful downtown quarter of Metz. Rotating exhibits with exceptional themes and pieces. There is now the Musee shopping mall across the street. The train station is likewise 3 minutes walking. More hotels than you can shake a stick at with great prices. Loads of restaurants. Loads of paid parking, expect to pay about 16.00 euros for 24 hours of covered parking and about 8 euros for the day. Easily accessible by car and even easier to take the train. Safe area, cheerful, upbeat, clean and highly recommended.
