Very nice museum with always innovative and fun exhibitions!
Small museum quite nice overall.
Enough to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon.
Magnificent museum even if you are not fond of modern art, it is a must see ... at least once. We never go out without an opinion and never without talking about it whether we liked it or not.
Ground floor and 1st floor only open. We go around in 1 hour. Quite elitist from the normal blow that this museum is not really successful compared to its investment. But the building is beautiful from the outside. Maybe you have to go back there when there are more exhibitions or collections.
Very good exposure with great mediators who explain very well!
This is a very nice place, close to the train station. To discover.
Beautiful museum, nice permanent collection and good changing exhibitions
Wonderful galleries especially right now on the first floor
Beautiful building, well located ... Beautiful exhibitions
Great exhibitions but it's not always easy for people who are not initiated to contemporary art!
Great place, bright and daring in form. In April, we saw La Peinture La Nuit, magnificent, as well as Lee Ufan and an exhibition of contemporary works from the Pompidou Paris background, all of them interesting and very well developed.
We almost missed the end of the exhibition La Peinture La Nuit, which was on the floor above, because I did not notice any sign indicating that it was necessary to go up.
The Pompidou Center is in the immediate vicinity of the train station, which makes access easy. The brasserie on the ground floor is very good, with reasonable prices.
Apart from this excellent visit, a logistical point that affects many visitors arriving with a cabin bag: for an incomprehensible reason, the maximum baggage dimensions to access Pompidou are fixed at 55x35x20 instead of the 55x35x25 of the IATA standard for whole world. So, we had to make the reverse walk to the train station to find a stationery that agrees to keep the luggage for a small fee. We were the fourth couple of visitors in less than thirty minutes to be turned back because of the baggage ... This measure is a total idiocy, it should at least a clear warning on the website of the Center, or rather of course stalling on the global standard of cabin baggage not to waste their time on visitors.
Other than that, I highly recommend Pompidou-Metz's visit to everyone.
Exhibitions, as always, very interesting but it is frosty in this building and the direction is very lacunary both for the meaning of the exhibitions and to orient in the building.
Frequent expo roll, lots of events, low annual fee, really perfect place.
This museum in the French city of Metz is very beautiful and has great art and form paintings and I invite you to visit this museum
Hello, I am happy to share with you my happiness visits of this center of art and culture architecture very original being messin that makes me may be a little less objective, but that does not prevent me that I always find pleasure to see each exhibition even if some I like more than others. To know that having been a subscriber since 2010, I think I have seen all the collections. Best wishes for the New Year.
Little brother of the Parisian counterpart great architecture half-yearly changing exhibitions of daring art the art also impresses or just without words if you let them work tip without time pressure go
Located in the new activity center, Pompidou-Metz is easily accessible for all. The proximity of the underground car park, the Mettis A and B lines, and the SNCF train station mean that a large flow of visitors can come. As soon as we arrived, the exterior attracts the eye, the wood structure is beautiful. As for exhibitions, it's a matter of taste. Overall, we are not really passionate about this kind of art. But it's still to see at least once. We will come back to see the changes announced, but we will avoid Saturday afternoons. Check out the dedicated http site before coming, so you will be able to find out what is currently on display.
Afterwards, you can also go to the hypermarket Muse opposite. This is another (expression) genre that is also very popular. Good day in the new Metz.
Architecture is really the reason why we come here.
Personally, I wonder what can be interesting. Money squandered.
Frustrated that I could not access floors 2 and 3 or windows overlooking the city.
Good for tourists but not many very good exhibitions.
Very unfriendly staff !!!
We are teachers and we were refused free entry because our teacher pass had a signature instead of a stamp!
The lady at the reception was very provocative, and her manager just as rude!
Beautiful building. Exhibitions to see and see again ..
Modern and agile structure. Recommended for lovers of modern art and more!
A superb museum that I have visited many times, without ever getting bored.
The architecture is original, but allows a grandiose panorama. A must to visit in Metz
Beautiful building in addition to the new congress center of Metz Robert Schumann
Exceptional, especially in the provinces. High level exhibitions. Museum located in a new district, to see.
Stunning by the quality of the expo that by the structure that welcomes them
Difficult to appreciate. Information intoxicated and stupid It is verified. But beautiful architecture.
The architecture of the place is enough to stop there! However, the exhibitions are rather poor.
A place that brings contemporary art to life with ease and makes it accessible to all. The staff are friendly and always available. The place is clean, spacious, bright.
Mind-blowing exhibition - Theater of Metamorphosis. It makes you aware of the complexity of experiencing art, time, your body.
This extension of the Pompidou Center in Paris deserves a look. It is only 1:20 from Paris and directly next to the Metz station.
It feels like you are entering a tent in the desert. Very serious and suggestive exhibitions
Amazing museum, very interesting pieces raging from a wide variety of cultures
I went on a cold, gloomy day in January. The exhibition was interesting and quite rich of pieces of art. Definitely worth going if you are in Metz. I might be spoiled, but I love modern and contemporary art. Hence my high rating.
a magnificent building which houses some rather interesting exhibitions. Very satisfied with my visit, I will definitely come back
Beautiful Expo, beautiful building, a bit expensive.
Art and culture in Metz. Building with a breathtaking design!
Exceptional view of the city, often superb exhibitions, well served by public transport, parking right next to it. Mediocre architecture in my opinion. Not to miss !
Very interesting place of course. On the other hand, we were invited to leave the premises at 5:50 p.m., we missed a room for a closing indicated at 6 p.m., not very cool ...
Interesting to see at least 1 time. It is very cold
The programming is generally really good, and the rates offered really interesting. The subscription card is well thought out and accessible. I withdraw a star however, because I would like more change of expo throughout the year.
Fortunately, entry is free with the education pass because I would have asked to be reimbursed otherwise, culture is an excellent excuse to spend millions of taxpayers on hideous and totally useless things called bacon or art depending on the point of view .
Mostly very nice exhibitions with descriptions in French, German and English. The building can also be seen from the outside. Very easy to reach from Metz train station or long-distance bus station.
EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE
Pompidou Metz is the little brother of the famous Pompidou Paris. This art museum with its fantastic architecture is located in the beautiful downtown quarter of Metz. Rotating exhibits with exceptional themes and pieces. There is now the Musee shopping mall across the street. The train station is likewise 3 minutes walking. More hotels than you can shake a stick at with great prices. Loads of restaurants. Loads of paid parking, expect to pay about 16.00 euros for 24 hours of covered parking and about 8 euros for the day. Easily accessible by car and even easier to take the train. Safe area, cheerful, upbeat, clean and highly recommended.
Too bad it is so expensive, it is accessible to all budgets. Very beautiful collections nevertheless.
Beautiful architecture, but unimpressive paintings.
Great indoor space game - visually a feast for the eyes, outside!
