This company treats its existing clients like dirt. i have been with this company for 4 years and have come to find out my processing rates are sky high compared to the current industry standards. I called to see if it would adjust my rates and was told to shop around and present them a quote and at that time it would adjust my rates. I shopped around and saw how bad it was taking advantage of a small business owner and cancelled my service. Then it tells me I will be charged a $300.00 cancellation fee because my contract auto renews. Terrible company.

They did not contact us at all when a customer disputed an order and just refunded the charge without any investigation to ask if it was a legitimate charge.

Without investigating the charge back, our company lost $670.

Central Payment allows thieves to steal from you.

That customer changed their phone number and won't answer our calls. There's not much we can do but file a police report.

BEWARE! I was with this company for over 4 years. I had a 3 year contract that was honored as of last year. I cancelled to go with another company for better rates. They went in to my account and took a $300 cancellation fee. I called them to get it refunded, they refused! Said that because I stayed with them after the 3 year contract was satisfied that they entered me in a new 2 year contract....WHAT A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whatever you do, do not sign up with this company as your credit card processing service. They are unethical and dishonest.
I cancelled my service after 3 years to the day, they took away my "supposedly free" credit card processing terminal, and every person I spoke to (more than 10 representatives), gave me a different answer: "You cancelled a day early, you'll get a late termination fee".
Another one: "You cancelled a day late. Your contract has renewed and you have incurred an early termination fee". Either way, the "free machine" was theirs.
There was no winning. I cancelled the day to the exact date to complete 3 years.
BS company. DO NOT FALL PREY TO THEM.
Funny how the answer to most complaints is please call our number and we'll help you.

Horrible service, all calls are directed to the Philippines and the operator's are not helpful or knowledgeable. They get you with hidden fees and then offer to refund you small percentages back, as if they are doing you a favor.

Absolutely the worse processing company ever!!! DO NOT use them. Getting thru to c/s takes forever and they are not helpful and need a through training in attitude.
I reviewed my last 3 years of charges and discovered the fees and service charges totaled sometimes up to 7% far more than the contract we signed originally. When I inquired about the PCI charges I was told to fill out the questionnaire and they would remove the fees plus refund 4 months. I filed out the questionnaire and never received any refunds. I cancelled the contract, but still get charged by automatic draft and my Bank says I have to pay a $30 fee to put a "stop order" on them.

The last cc I processed in May, was less than $200 and this company took out a whopping 12% in fees.

Anyone working for Central Payment and any merchant platform ,especially agents, have the ability to do right by their customers. And they should! I've been working in merchant services for years and I am happy working with Central Payment. Additionally I'm happier to hear my customers love their service and would never switch me because I'm there for them. I would like to apologize to all the customers who have had horrible representatives not do their job. It's actually what makes this the toughest industry to get into. Teach your customers , be there for them and help them with pci compliancy and you will receive referrals and love for as long as their with you. Hang in there customers and reps it's a cruel world out there but I'm telling you find the right agent stick with them or ask for a new one. They are your back end!

Bad company to do business with. Bad customer service. They told me they were going to cancel my prior company, and they never did. It takes hours to get of hold of them. They have being charging me a non-compliance fee every month. Definitely I dont recommend this company.

Not sure what rep the 1 star people were working with, but stormy has done nothing but help me and my business. Everything that is on the agreement is what is being done, maybe if the 1 star people read what they were signing they wouldnt be as upset? Not sure, but overall Cpay has helped me out a ton!

Very deceitful advertising and poor customer service. I was tricked and told I would be paying only .75% per swipe, I ended up paying almost 10%. I called and they said I was paying higher fees due to non-compliance and needed to take some test. I took the test and passed, yet they still deducted the same 10%! I called again and they said, oh I m sorry we ll refund it back ; they never did. Do not use this company for any transaction.!

Call your bank and ask them to issue an ACH revoke of this DBA so they can t take anything out of your account.

Their software was running random credit card charges, they still refused to let me out of the contract. The only thing that set us free was when we wanted to file a complaint, then they were receptive. Find a company that doesn't want to force you to be a customer and actually cares how your business does. Stay clear of these guys.

They would send an actual person out, wow, a person I could put my hands on sounded great. Meeting scheduled for Tuesday at 11 am. Cory showed up on Wednesday at 11 am. However, I used the time I had set aside on Tuesday to research Central Payment, and wow, they had terrible reviews. I decided it was a good thing Cory was a no show Tuesday, so when he came in Wednesday, I told him his company reviews were terrible and I was not interested. He said he knew this. Man, people will do anything for a job. It is sad he has to represent a company like this, and also very sad that he elects to.

Do not use this company! Company fraudulently pulls charges from your business account on an ongoing basis for PCI compliance fees despite compliance. I made several calls to the company faxed in several documents trying to get them to correct their charges and repeatedly told the charges would be fixed to no avail. Finally cancelled the service following all their procedures and was still charged on an ongoing basis. I called in again and was told to resend the cancellation fax and fax confirmation proving our cancellation. We did this and after repeat runaround calls account was cancelled with a cancellation date 6 months later after 6 more months of charges. We are seeking legal action against this company and we suspect this is going on regularly on a large scale.

I have been with CP since Sept 2011 and been very satisfied with the services and rates. As a small business owner (as many of you are) I am approached weekly by other processing companies to switch my service for "better rates and no fees". I switched breifly one time back in 2016 because i thought i was going to get better rates... huge mistake on my part because I ended up getting a slightly higher rate with more fees! Luckily my rep at CP, Todd White, took the time to explain the rates again and what the other company was doing and got me out and back with CP. He has always been very up front, honest and responsive regarding rates, fees and my service. Not contacting him before the switch proved to be a huge PITA. In short, Great service and never had any fees I was not expecting or aware of so those who are unhappy should try reaching out to your rep and getting educated before just trashing an entire company. 5 stars!

Really wish I would have read these reviews before switching. I was told I would have next day deposit, which I didn't. Was told I would have a large daily limit, which they reduced drastically without warning. They tell you what you want to hear to sign you up and then don't follow through with their promises. I will be going back to my previous company, they weren't saving me that much money.

This liar came into my business with supposedly straight forward processing plan printed on his business card that promised low flat rate fees. CPAY fraudulently altered my agreement without my knowledge or consent for their own financial gain. Rates and fees were forged onto the agreement after it was submitted. I have the original documents along with the forged copy sent by CPAY.

My contract was sold to Central Payments and they did not let us know. After problems with our machine it took two days to find out that Central Payments had bought our account to correct the problem.
I had no contract with Central Payments and chose to cancel my service and use my machine (which I own) with a new company. Central Payments cancelled my account but locked my machine for 30 days leaving me unable to switch my account or run credit cards at all.
This business is the definition of shady business practices and should not be used.

Worst business decision I have ever made. I co-own a salon with 3 other girls and we all were using Square. My friend of 18 years (who was also in our wedding) is a Cpay rep and told me he could give us a lower rate with no fees. I switched because I trusted him and his words.

We had a total of 5 bank accounts with him. After just a few months, our bank accounts were chrarged fees anywhere from $20-$180. We contacted our rep about getting the charges credited back. He wouldn t even respond to some text messages nor pick up his phone. Myself, he would respond with a I will look into it tomorrow.

We canceled all 5 accounts and two of the accounts only got credited back. Also, he never once disclosed any of the cancellation policies. So when you cancel you have to return whatever terminal you use. I had a mobile terminal, if you don t return it you will be charge $495 for each terminal. My rep text me to have a nice life when we canceled. Apparently in sales you can lie and be dishonest to get a pay check even if it s to your own friends.

I've been in contact with them to close my account since February and had sent in a cancellation email 3 times. Got a personal call back from customer service on June 1 saying my account would finally be closed and they would refund the money taken from my account in May. There was another transaction taken out on June 2. Horrible company to work with. Get your stuff together!!

Don't do it! More hidden fees than any processing company I know of. Almost $400 in fees and I never used the reader because it didn't work on my 2 devices. Unless you wanna throw away money, I would stay away and stick with Square. Still waiting for $130 refund from January...such terrible service.

Since canceling my service with Central Payment in July, I had to seek refunds for several months of service fees that hit after my cancellation. Last week (on 2/7) they deducted almost $400 for a card reader that I returned to them. The company has since confirmed that they have the equipment and stated I am owed a refund, but after that, I haven't heard from anyone. Nobody will return my emails and I have spent HOURS (literally) on hold without reaching anyone. My bank is now involved in disputing the transaction and I've filed a complaint with BBB. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.

Do not use this company. Worst customer service I have ever encountered out of a service provider. Hidden fees, equipment that never worked properly from day one. Customer service is a minimum 30 minute wait before getting someone on the phone who can't help you anyways. Certainly don't act on your behalf if you have a dispute come through, and forget about ever seeing the sales rep after they get you signed up. Flat out horrible experience with this company.

I am extremely disappointed. I took ALL the steps as said that was needed to cancel, but STILL got charged $18 and some change, with a company that I'm not even using anymore! (Central payment) All of my other co-workers got charged as well. Funny that everybody cancelled at the same time, but each one of us got a different charge to our bank account this past week. I have the exact date and amount that was taken out of my account, and the exact date I cancelled. (And so do all my co-workers) Makes me sick that the company is stealing money from myself and my co workers, or just down right can't get it together. I will get this money back from them one way or another. It may be a insignificant amount to others, but it's the morale I'm speaking of. I took ALL of your difficult steps to cancel, and still got charged. Don't make cancelling for people so hard, and MAYBE you will start to get some good reviews.

This has been an unbelievable rollercoaster ride of regret and anger with this company. I own a business, I had other people within my business receive cpay as well. What a mustake. Our rep is terrible. The company is no help. We have been left to fend for ourselves. By the end of this month we will all be away from your company and its fraudulent ways. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Taking advantage of small business owners and sneaking in charges that were never discussed, overcharging the original contract agreements. After reading some of these reviews I'm a little upset in reguards to the way merchants have been treated. I'm a sales representative for Central Payment and before I came to the company I did other inquiries on various credit card processing companies. First off I've never lied or mislead the merchants in any savings I can provide for them. Either I can save them money or I can't!! Second I see all my merchants at least once a month. Sometimes I'll see them around town. And last but certainly not least I beat all the others rates day in and day out!! That includes. Clover,square,national, and over 10 other different companies. My boss is Aarron and even thou I'm from macon ga and he's out in California we make it a habit to talk about all my existing clients as well as future clients. Please note that every company is not going to have the best reviews all the time but they ( central payment) always puts customers first!! Example: if you went out to eat at a steak house and the meal was great chances are that your not going to write a good review about how amazing your dinner was. But on the other hand if your waiter was rude or didn't see to your needs and if the steak wasn't up to par then chances are that you would write a awful review!!!
Central Payment cannot control the sales representative punctuality but it can control on how the merchant can save money in their business. I'm sorry for your concerns to all the merchants that felt the need to write a bad review. But please reach out to central payment and they will be glad to help you with saving the most money they can in your business moving forward. Or you can reach out to me and since I do reflect central payment as a small part of the company I will help you in anyway I possibly can. Hope everyone has a great year in 2018!! I have used Central Payment Systems for a number of years and in the beginning my Rep was AWESOME! Her name was Debbie Woodruff. Couldn t have asked for a better rep at all. Since starting my new business a few years ago and the card processing thru my bank being not so stellar I reached out to Central Payment for service because of the prior service being good. This time it has been Terrible! The rates have went nuts, the rep wrote me up as a DBA not a corporation which we handled and was taken care of but the ball was dropped on their end. My mistake was taking their word everything was fixed and handled. Fast forward 6 months as I am a pretty busy person and don t scrutinize my statements. I caught on they never fixed anything and have withheld almost $10k! I have spent several hours on hold because wait times are astronomical and no one cares to give a call back. As of now we are $13k and 8 months in. This was once a very good and affordable company to be in business with. Not so much anymore I m afraid. I m lost for words on the whole situation. I am still a customer with central Payment and the withholding has finally stopped but I cannot seem to be able to get my $13,000 refunded after 2 months, several phone calls, and emails later.

I wish I could give 0 star. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Three years ago I was assured that I won't be charged with annual fee but recently I was charged with PCI Non-Compliance Fee of $125.00 instead of $19.95. The customer service on the other end didn't refund me the whole amount and instead told me to give only $50.00. This is just not fair. Please don't go to this central Payment (TSYS) company. Worst Company EVER!!!!

We were with CPay for over a year and were told there would be no hidden fees. That was an outright lie. Instead of 1.25% interest and a small transaction fee, they charged us over 4.5% on average due to a LOT of hidden fees. We switched to Paypal because even though their interest rate is higher, there were no additional fees. The favorable reviews on their Yelp page come from people with little to no previous activity and we should have seen that as a red flag. You'll be paying triple with this company over Square or Paypal. Plus their customer service department is clueless.

Absolute worst company I have had the displeasure of attempting to work with. Avoid at ALL COSTS unless you enjoy spending an inordinate amount of time on hold, arguing over large charges taken out of your account for compliance issues you have completed or are not even due yet. Everyone is our office just got hit with $100 charge (over $500 total) for a compliance form that s not due for 20 more days and was sent to a FORMER EMPLOYEE who isn t even an owner. No one currently at our office even received the forms. This is the THIRD YEAR in a row this has happened to us. They say they have the lowest fees which they don t. Our whole office is in the process of trying to disconnect from this fraudulent company with terrible customer service. I will more than likely have to change my accounts so they no longer can have access to my money. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! I can t stress this enough- and if you re from central payment reading this, please don t comment asking me to call so we can discuss this rating and my complaints. I ve already been on hold for the past 15 min after being hung up on while on hold 2 times and it s not like you have ever actually addressed our concerns in the past.

Sales representative lied about hardware. She said it was a iPad. This is no iPad. The swipe makes double payments to customers cards and issue after issue. Don t buy or fall for their misrepresentation cause you will be stuck with a contract. I don t have a representative to talk to all I have is technical support and reps on the phone. Lack of attention to existing customers. I haven t used the machine in over a year or two that s how long it s been that I don t have history on the machine.

Beware!!!, Jay Hellman Account Manager out of Mechanicsburg Pa. Came in to our shop, Didn't tell us who he was or the company he was with. Asked for the owner. Told him they weren't in he said he would come back then proceeded to take an item off our shelf and walk out the front door. Can't trust anyone these days. Don't understand why I have to put a star at all to make this comment!! This was all caught on video, Police was called and charges were filed!!

Worst processing company I've had the displeasure of working with. Customer service does little to nothing with complaints. I was given the run around when attempting to cancel my account. And charged with fees that I was NOT told about. I was only told of the restocking fees and any applicable fees IF the equipment came back damaged. Equipment was not only professional cleaned, it was professionally shipped, so I know without a doubt NO damaged was incurred. Some hidden fees that had nothing to do with restocking or damage was added to my cancellation process with no explanation! I'm in yet another runaround fighting to get my money back. Please, please, PLEASE, go with another processing company. Central Payment is not the way to go. Especially for small businesses.

I CANCELLED 4 MONTHS AGO AND HAVE SENT 4 LETTERS OF CANCELATION AND THEY KEEP CHARGING ME $175 A MO. I SENT THEIR EQUIPMENT BACK ND THEY ACKNOWLEDGED IT BUT WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE MY CANCELLATION LETTER. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I HAVE.

2) You won't get paid residual unless your part of the company.
3) You share half the price expenses.

Let me just say that as a member of Central Payment I personal apologize to these merchants having these issues with Central payment. But this is on your sales Rep. Not Central Payment!!!!! I have a lot of clients with Cpay. they have no problems that are not resolved , because they call me and I do my job. this is my life! Please I am not blowing my own horn. I have had merchants leave and in less than 6 months call me and ask how they get back with me. I am a family run company and run into my merchants in stores here I cant afford to not do what I SAY. People the Merchant Service Industry is the toughest industry and if you have a great rep stay with them they won't let you down. You the business people need to take a little responsibility too! We are weeding our bad apples out. Central Payment a TSYS Company. the leader in this Industry bar none. Don't change companies tell them you want a new rep!
