We had our baby here and the anesthesiologist (Dr Brewer) showed up an hour and a half late. Less than 1 minute after my wife receiving the epidural she delivered our baby. The epidural obviously had not kicked in and we were still charged the full amount. What was supposed to be an amazing experience turned into panic. Dr Brewer literally ran out of the room because she didn't want to be part of the delivery. The hospital assured us that once it was time for the epidural Dr Brewer is guaranteed to arrive in 30 minutes or less. Dr Brewers excuse was that she had to shower and do her makeup. Very dissatisfied with her and our experience.

I had my baby here last week and gotta say it was great! All the nurses were very friendly and caring. They did everything they could to make labor easier. If I had another child I would definitely come here again!

I have been here 2 times for severe injuries, one time for a few months after a pulmonary embolism. I can't say enough good things about the staff , the food ( shocking I know). It's a great hospital , highly recommended.

I was brought in by ambulance after rolling my car...

I was brought in by ambulance after rolling my car 4x on 2/7/13. I had a positive loss of consciousness, the airbag went off, car was totalled. They actually cut me from the seatbelt, the car was on its roof with me hanging upside down unconscious. I had a blood sugar of 25 in the ambulance; 104 is normal. All this was communicated to the hospital via the medic who called it in on the phone before we even arrived at ER. I called my Mom from the ambulance - she beat me to ER by 5 minutes. On arrival, as I have a major medical history and my consciousness was fleeting, I told 4 people to go to the waiting room and get my Mom; I have metal in my skull and had they sent me to an MRI my head would have heated up to 2600 degrees and killed me. After 25 minutes, with no call button, a screen pulled shut, no blanket, nothing, I told them, with one shoe on and my pant leg sliced all the way to my mid-thigh that if they didn't get my Mom, I was leaving. They got her. After another 30 minutes, we still had no blanket, xray or ct scan, even though they said that I was on my way to ct. They still had me in a cervical collar, but took me off the backboard. They pulled some blood. They then took me in a wheelchair to the bathroom for a urine sample to run my BUN and creatine. How strange, no spinal exam, no xray or imaging, nothing, but they were walking me to the bathroom? Still no socks. After another 45 minutes, I had enough. I went to ask to speak to a supervisor, they sent me in to the charge nurse. She was no help; although she was appalled that after 2 hrs no xray or imaging and me walking. I also asked them just who says it's ok to leave a patient with a positive loss of consciousness and a seizure history in a room, alone for 25 minutes. She replied (with my male nurse who still had not gotten socks or a blanket or anything sitting there, trying to interrupt; I had to tell him to be quiet several times so I could finish a sentence) that no one had told them that I had a positive loss of consciousness; this is incorrect; it's right there on the ambulance report. Also, my Mom was there when I told the doctor. But hey, whatever. I asked for a patient advocate - never got to see one. The nurse who came in to get my medical history argued with me for 10 minuted that Zoloft (which I take for depression) was Zolpidem - the generic for Ambien - she kept telling me that an anti-depressant which increases wakefulness, was for sleep. The unprofessionalism, the uncaring, the borderline medical negligence is abhorrent. I would rather die than be seen there again. This is a level 3 trauma center per the ambulance company; I truly hope they do not take anyone there who is truly critical. I have a medical billing, compliance and consulting company and employ several RNs, but I can tell you, I would never hire one of these idiots.

Great experience in labor and delivery with Dr. Egbo and Dr. Marchand. Anesthesia had a tough time getting my epidural to work but they didn't give up and my pain finally got under control. Once the pain was under control I was able to enjoy the birth of my new baby. THANK YOU!

My mother-in-law was brought her to the emergency room with a major heart problem. We have no problem with the treatment from the doctors and nurses. The administration was a nightmare!!! Kim, the, RN and acting social worker was too lazy to make a couple of phone calls to straighten out some insurance issues. My mother-in-law is 75 years old, of course Medicare will pay her hospital bill. They treated her like some deadbeat. Her heart stopped, she needs to go to rehab!!!!! Couldn't even be bothered to make a couple of calls to make that happen. Awful!!! I've called patient advocate twice and left messages. No call back!!!!! Glad they're on top of this! And where was this patient when advocate they were trying to lick my mother inlaw out instead of sending her to rehab

Felt very belittled and unfairly judged, just before and following a procedure ... one great nurse shadowed by a hard judgemental nurse and then one that seemed to not believe a report of increased pain ... :(. To the point if walking out and probably screwing up my insurance ... still sick following their procedure as there was no follow up .. then they called the police and never even called me ...

Wow where do I start? I was having severe weakness...

Wow where do I start? I was having severe weakness for about a week straight and came in because it was getting worse and was having pain and cognitive issues. So I thought I was having a reaction to a recent medication that I stopped taking. They triage me and took me back by wheelchair because I barely could walk mind you I was using a walker.

I get to a room and was greeted by a nurse helped me into the bed within a few minutes this heavy set masculine FNP comes in I told her I had chronic Lyme disease and felt extremely weak and sick. She becomes very rude starts talking over me interrogates me like I m a criminal asking thousands of questions which I was trying to keep up with knowing I m struggling with memory issues at the moment.

She then leaves says she s going to call my neurologist why didn t I contact them before I got there I told her I did numerous times. She leaves then an RN comes in asking for a urine test I m not sure why at this moment so the bring in a bedside commode and I comply with this odd request. An hour later the FNP comes back in and has an very bad attitude says I tested positive for HIGH AMOUNTS OF MARIJUNA and if my neurologist knows? Have you been smoking? Have you been eating edibles? I said no and I use CBD oil occasionally for my severe Nueropathy. So yes my neurologist is aware matter of fact that s what he told me to take for the pain.

No treatment was done what so ever she literally said there s nothing I can do for you it s not an emergency knowing I can barely walk or move and was having cognitive issues. I asked her could it be the reaction from the other meds? NO! You need to ask your primary care or neurologist didn t they discuss the adverse affects of marijuana I then told her I been taking this for years only been very sick like this happened in a weeks time. I don t use it all the time. She then walks out of my room and tells me I will have someone come in here when I deal with more critical patients

So I told her excuse me could you have been any more rude to me and she stormed off.

DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY HERE. I KNOW I SHOULD OF WENT TO BANNER.

I live so close to this hospital and rather drive 200 miles to another one then ever go here again they are a joke.

Mind you I had all my paperwork with me positive lab results for Lyme etc.

A simple IV fluids and Benadryl would of helped be feel better my neurologist said!

I was scared about delivering my twins but Dr. Marchand was very good and Dr. Blumrick gave us great consultations that put my mind at ease. Delivery at Mountain Vista was convenient and the whole staff, nurses, anesthesia and techs were a pleasure to be around! Now I have two baby boys and great memories of them coming into the world!

I have AHCCCS for my insurance because I haven't been able to work since my car accident. I'm used to being treated like a second class citizen, and it doesn't bother me. When I had my surgeries at Banner I felt like they all judged me and barely talked to me except to ask pertinent questions. Mountain Vista was the COMPLETE OPPOSITE. All nurses were chatty and comfortable to talk with! When I said I was a little nervous, one of the nurses said she had had this exact procedure before and everything was going to be fine. Marchand was amazing and my recovery was quicker than I ever would have thought. I really want to thank Mountain Vista will all my heart for taking such good care of me.

I am giving 3 stars because the first few days my great grandmother was in the hospital, the nurses were amazing. However, today, we knew there was to be a procedure done, and asked to get a phone call to let us know when she'd be taken down so we could make sure we were there. We were told we would receive a phone call. Didn't receive any calls, so we called (around 3:30pm ish) to make sure the time was still the same (4pm-5pm) and was told that she had been taken down 20 minutes prior to our call. When we asked why we didn't receive a call, my grandmother's nurse said, "I have 5 patients." Which I totally understand that they are busy and have things to do, however if a phone call wasn't possible, why tell us to leave our numbers? Or that we would receive a call?

After her procedure, she was moved to her room and we went up to see her. The nurse that was in there was on a personal phone call while attending to my great grandmother and for whatever reason couldn't get off the phone.

Her doctors and surgeons were wonderful. But the nurse I spoke with today really left a sour taste in my mouth.

UPDATE AS THERE IS NO WAY TO RESPOND TO COMMENTS: I tried calling the Patient Advocate, and they still have their away message for the 4th. I left a message.

This Hospital was efficient and made sure to diagnose me properly rather than rush through and guess. They took the proper steps in diagnostics so I didn t leave worse than I came in. That happen to me in 2017 when I went to the Banner Gateway ER off the US-60. I still have not recovered from their lack of knowledge and diagnostic tactics. So I am grateful for Mountain Vistas ability and willingness to take the time to properly diagnose my problem.

They were all nice there, no one was overly friendly like other hospitals I ve been too which some might complain about lack of bedside manners . But I d rather have people more focused on the real issues than fluff me full of great super friendly bedside manner . I thought they were professional effective and efficient.

If I could give thos facility a -10, I would, I would not even take my dog there. I waited over an hour and a half and left. Incompetent staff, triage nurse was focused on another patient while questioning me. She also did not know how to use the computer. Several people left due to long waiting periods when the online waiting time was listed at 28 minutes and the freeway billboard listed 5 minutes. This hospital is not for anyone under 60 years of age. Older walk-in patients who are lonely go there to be chatty Kathys!

Knew I should have gone to Banner instead of this place last night. They didn t believe what was going on with me a doctor wouldn t even come in to see me just some nurse who gave me antibiotics. The bleeding still isn t stopping but they wouldn t take me seriously. Unprofessional $500 for literally nothing. The healthcare system is broken and this hospital is a perfect example of that. Thanks for not caring. Instead I was put into a corner waiting for zero help. Listening to the other nurses violate HIPPA laws right an left while they ordered pizza and talked about other patients right there.

I am very discouraged with this place. My husband was scheduled to do a knee replacement on 5/28 today is 5/24. He is in severe pain and barely able to function. I was previously told that they do payment plans. Because as I explained to the woman. We do not have out of pocket money. We recieved a call today stating that they need us to pay 2 grand out of pocket up front, now had the explained this to us previously I may have been able to get the money. But 4 days prior to surgery.. very upset.

Martha Favila is my Mom and she works for nutritional services. She might be a sweetheart but she takes her job seriously. Love Glenda and all the cute things they have you don't need to be a patient to enjoy some good food and a little shopping *no one asked me to write this review. just saying

A medical insurance client of ours went in for a hernia repair surgery. Introduced her to a surgeon. Day of the surgery totally different doctor performed the operation. Told her they have a cash price available which the client paid in full and still Mt Vista sent her a bill afterward. Most alarming, no post op advice was given client was still under the effects of anesthesia when wheeled out to a friends car in the parking lot. Pain meds given to the patient lasted less than 3 hours and our client was bent over in pain with no idea what to do next. Client was given a list of numbers to call if there were any problems. She called for three straight days and received no support. Covid may be one thing but the level of incompetence shown by this facility borders on criminal. They dont deserve a single star and should have their medical licenses pulled immediately.

I arrived at mountain vista medical Center and spoke with Irene in admitting. Irene was extremely rude, belittling and argumentative. She did not explain my documents to me she turned the screen around for me to reanimated her computer screen myself. When our interaction was over she told me to walk around the corner and she handed me my paperwork. I walked into the waiting room and as I was sitting in there I noticed Irene walking the other ( White patients) patients in and giving the waiting room clerk theit paperwork. My daughter who was with me said that she was rude and also pointed out that Irene had walked everyone else over. So I went and asked for her name and she gave it to me. I took her picture to include in my review about twenty minutes later the head of surgery and two security guards came in and said that I was not allowed to take pictures of the staff so I deleted her picture. Worst hospital experience ever. The rest of the staff was professional and nice but my nerves were already bad due to the uneasy experience with Irene. I would have walked out if I didn't need the surgery.

First off this place does not deserve a 1 star rating. My wife went in the neck and body pains. The doctor seemed to be more intrested in the fact that my wife uses a natrual doctor. That didnt even examine her neck and dismissed her with sone pills for her stomach. Didnt work! Was referred to banner gateway were there highly qualified staff found an aneurysm. I would never recommend this to anyone and on top of that told my wife she would have a 700 dollar bill. They facility was dirty and staff unqualified.

So... I show up 10 minutes early for visiting hours and they make me wait outside. I mean really, what's the big deal?
My mother's care here has been barely adequate and the staff being uncaring drones doesn't make this place somewhere I would ever want to be admitted to.
Dr. Jones on the third floor has to be one of the rudest people I have ever met. I would love to choke her til she turns my favorite shade of blue.

I took my son here a few months ago. Worst ER experience of my life. I should say that the front desk, and some nurses were pleasant and sympathetic, but Dr Okafor was absolutely terrible. He had absolutely horrible bedside manner, moved so slowly (hello this is the ER), and did absolutely nothing to help my son that was in immense pain. I had to pay $1500 for an hr of time in the ER, just for them to say they couldn t do anything for him and send us away. I will never return to this hospital because of this experience. Such a shame considering it is so close to my home. Do yourselves a favor and go to a banner hospital.

I'm a nurse with 15+ years in acute hospital care....

I'm a nurse with 15+ years in acute hospital care. I know how a hospital admission is supposed to go. This hospital was absolutely ABHORRENT. The ER was a joke (severe abdominal pain warrants some investigation guys, not a 7 hour wait AFTER triage). Nurse to patient ratios are ridiculous, the MDs couldn't agree with what was going on or what the plan of care was going to be, and hearing the words "I'll be right back" meant you never saw a staff member again. I had to repeat my CT twice because there was no IV contrast given the first time (even after I had told them the MD had just told me he ordered CT with AND without contrast - but I'm just a patient, what do I know). Facility is pretty, but no matter how new it is, you cannot make up for ignorant staff. I should NOT have to tell 90% of that staff members that walked into my room to WASH THEIR HANDS. Not once did a nurse do a full assessment on me. The nurses even missed 3 entire IV antibiotic infusions - just flat never gave them, and then told me it was because they were waiting on a "trough level. " Nice try, guys... Zosyn & Cipro don't have a peak/trough level. *I* took my own IV and foley cath out, because no one bothered to when I was discharged, and then had to return to an urgent care 6 hours later because of urinary retention. *I* had to remind the nurses that I needed to have daily labs drawn. *I* had to remind the nurses that giving anyone information about me without my permission was a violation of my HIPAA rights. And when a nurse complains about how "picky" I'm being (apparently, expecting staff compliance with infection control measures is considered "picky" these days), it's probably best not to do it right outside your patient's room. God, I could go on and on. As a nurse, I know that stuff happens... orders are overlooked or never received, meds are late, staff gets busy - trust me, I get that its insane sometimes. But I honestly cannot think of a single positive experience throughout the entire 5 day stay. I wouldn't even send a criminal here, and I will gladly tell every patient, colleague, and friend/family member this. Places like this give nurses, doctors, HEALTHCARE, in general, a bad name. Get your crap together IASIS

I have to say, it really sucked. I get that it was Christmas eve... but wait time was ridiculous, everything was extremely unsanitized, I think there was poop smeared on the floor in the waiting room, nothing was stocked, aka tissues and cleaning pads. The bathrooms were gross. Half of the staff where rude and didn't care except our RN. He was quite enjoyable, cracking jokes and making things less stressful. I hate to say it, but I will not be going back to this emergency room if I ever need to go to one again.

STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT THINGS STOLEN FROM YOU BY STAFF.

THIEF, FAIL, DISRESPECTFUL

Taken in by ambulance and was admitted without the doctor even talking to me. then once in the room on the second floor and fell asleep and as soon as family walked out of the room to go downstairs they came back to the nurse walking out of the room and my wallet on the table laying out and money missing. the nurse was confronted about it and denied it and you could tell she was lying to you. we then went to admin and reported it and then spoke with the ER manager "Jim" who sent another report to risk management and after being put off (they had to hire someone to fill risk management because no one was there) for a month. I went down in person again and then admin told me they where not going to do anything for me but if i would like i can file a police report. (They didn't think i would) so i went down to the ER and called for a officer to be sent out and that it is NOT a emergency. when the officer showed up we went upstairs and the look on their faces were priceless. They turned the story around on me and the officer was shown my file (without my consent). I told the officer to press charges on the THIEF nurse for theft. The story that the admin told him made it where he couldn't do anything because they FAILED to complete a complete inventory of my belongings. they didn't even inventory my cloths like admin said they should of.

March 2016,

March 2016,
Daughter came into this hospital on a Friday morning with severe lower back pain. She could not sit or stand for long periods. She was seen by the ER. Doc that didn't even examine where she said it hurts. He diagnosed her with a cyst and sent her on her way with meds.
Back in the next day, the cyst had tripled in size and she is in agonizing pain. Waited 2 hours and still haven't been even seen by the triage nurse because it wasn't important enough. Stay clear of this place cause they apparently don't know how dangerous an infection can be. Skin is hot to touch and bright purplish pink but it's not infected according to them.. This is how they do you so you have to come in twice for the same damn thing and they recharge you instead of handling it correctly the 1st. Time!
Multiple other experiences with different family members here also and not one of them have been good from misdiagnosed to car accidents and having to wait over 4 hours to get scared or xrayed! Horrible service and overcharged and double billed!

After having pains that seemed to be symptoms of a Gallbladder attack, I was recommended to come here for a HIDA Scan to see if there was something the other hospital couldn't detect. I waited in the ER waiting room for almost 4 hours. Only to be pulled back into one of their little rooms where the administered the IV, only to have it go dry so fast that blood started seep up into the tube, I pressed the call button three times at 15 minute intervals for the nurse to come in and change it. After that was taken care of, they took me back to get my scan done, which was an hour and a half test. When that was done they didn't even ask me if I wanted to be admitted, they just admitted me and took me up to the floor where the endoscopy is done. They had me NPO the first day I was there so needless to say I was starving and started getting a headache. I was scheduled to be released from the hospital at 11 the next day well 11 came and went and at 12:30 they decided they wanted to to a scan to see if my heart was doing fine, it took them 4 almost 5 hours to even get me down there and almost 5 hours to get the results read so I could be discharged. The Second day I was put on a broth diet for all three meals it was broth, jello, Gatorade and either Tea or Coffee. My head was pounding so bad by the time dinner came around I asked for a Tylenol in which I was informed there was none in the hospital at all, I was offered a Morphine shot. In the two days I was there I saw the nurses maybe 6 times total. I shudder to think what would have happened to me if I had been admitted there with something much worse happening to me than something they couldn't even figure out.

It s consistently attractive, clean, nice, friendly. They ve had some technology changes and process changes in recent years but my care there has always been good. Worst hospital I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. My wife went here with pneumonia, we were told they were in network with our insurance company. We have high grade brand name insurance that is valid in most facilities across the country. They assigned multiple out of network doctors to my wife. We now are dealing with thousands of dollars in bills. I believe they intentionally did this so they could charge what they wanted to us instead of negotiated rates with our insurance. Reporting to the bbb.

I came to Mountain Vista to give birth to my son and I loved their maternity ward. They have large comfortable labor rooms and all the labor nurses I had Christina, Mary, and Laura were very informative, attentive, and accommodating to my birth plan although they already do many things I was wanting like immediate skin to skin for an hour, breast feeding within 10 mins, delay cord clamping, and waiting 24 hours for a bath, plus they were very supportive of my desire to have a natural birth. I also loved my nurse Jennie who helped us the rest of our stay everyone was so friendly and helpful!

I would give NO star rating on Dec 24 2017, We had to call 911 to my Mom's residence the first responders dragged my Mom from her bedroom to the dining room floor snapping her neck...they took her to this hospital only to treat my 73 yr old like a drug addict she had medical issues and was prescribed her meds and did not abuse them. When she came too she just kept saying her neck hurt they just ignored her crys for help! Not once did they put a neck brace on. Their MRI machine was broken and they were waiting for a part she kept telling the incompetent Drs and RNs that her neck hurt and that she couldnt move her legs and arms (Dec 23rd she had full use of her arms and legs)by the 2nd day we requested she be transferred to Banner Baywood they told us we would have to be responsible for trsnsport. With her not being able to walk we were at their mercy! On the 5th day they got the part snd and completed the MRI only to rush her and transport her to Phoenix Barrow Institute for the past 5 days she layed there with no circulation or oxygen getting to her spine..slowly her spine died therefor she went under emergency surgery only to find out that she was completely paralyzed from the neck down!! Now if this POS hospital would have transferred her to another hospital she would have had a better chance of recovering from this injury. We went thru Hell with recovery they shipped her to a so call Hospital within St Lukes for 3months she was on a tracheotomy and feeding tube she then was sent to a Rehabilitation Center which is no more than a Nursing home after 5 agonizing months. I brought my Mom home I did my best to care for her only to loose her 4 months later!! Now my Mom's death will not be able to hold the responsible parties accountable because our lawyers said when she passed her pain and suffering went with her. I hate 911 I hate the firemen who were called to my mom's home and this hospital for not doing their jobs!! I just wonder how many others have been affected by their negligence. I pray this never happens to another. It is Hell watching your Mom slowly dying...I will never be the same!!
Sincerely
A heartbroken daughter in Mesa

A lot of the fear of surgery for Ovarian cysts, even huge ones, just goes away when you're talking to a doctor that literally has done the surgery thousands of times. My surgery went well and I owe a big thank you to Dr. Marchand and Mountain Vista Medical Center!!!

My wife delivered here and we chose Marchand because I was actually a student studying under him a few years ago, so I'm well aware of his brilliance and skill. Everything went perfectly and the nurses really worked hard to make my wife's delivery special. No complaints about any aspect of our stay.

The only reason I'm giving one star is because I have to. My mom went in because she believed to have a broken or fractured rib and was in a lot of pain. They brought her into the room and said they would bring something for the pain, (they never did). She sat in her room with no one checking on her for over an hour after getting x-rays. A nurse then came in to get an iv and blood, my mother asked why she needed blood and iv. The nurse instead of explaining to her why says she's going to go "tell" that she refusing th IV, which she did not refuse she just asked why it was needed. After then sitting for even longer she asked again is she could get something for her pain and a nurse states "didn't you refuse the IV"..... why they couldn't give her a pill or explain why she needed to be poked?? THEN they come in and tell her they are taking her for a MRI, she asks "why do I need an MRI what did the X-rays say?" They didn't even know what the X-rays said yet! He said to her "I don't Know"... Absolutely ridiculous! EVERY PERSON has the right to an explanation before receiving any kind of treatment or testing it is YOUR BODY! Nurses and staff out in halls could be heard chatting and doing nothing to help patients with zero supervision. This hospital needs a knew "in charge" before it ends up being sued and hurting people!! She ended up WALKING OUT because of the deplorable staff!! My mother walking out with possible broken ribs!!

I have had a family member there 2 times in the generations unit.
The nursing staff there is not concerned with the patients and in my opinion does not have the proper qualifications to deal with mental illness patients.
This place is more of a holding facility and when I was there more than once seeing my family member the only thing I really hear them talking about is who they want to date on the staff.
They don't even know that a person who has a UTI does not like sitting down because it's uncomfortable so they will walk around because it's more comfortable for them.
I don't believe any of the staff in this unit is qualified to make decisions regarding a person's mental health.
You can tell when you go there there is no caring and it's just a job to them and the patients that are there are more of an annoying factor than anything else to them.
I do not ever recommend sending any of your family members to this location as they do not have proper training or true knowledge of how to deal with mental illness.

Upon arrival they got me and quite quickly as they knew I had heart pains ,they moved me in in about 15 minutes so they were nonchalant about it at first with the nurse that help me it was a man and a lady Nurse present when I told them I had previous experiences with heart problems and had my own cardiologists they suddenly change their tune. Can I get a quick EKG down at the ER she called Help in came another helper a young gentleman put me on the EKG for about 2 minutes the heart pains I had been experiencing did not duplicate during the test they put me in a room of my own and ask me lots of questions x-rayed me twice because they missed the first 1 saying they didn't have the board Low enough behind my back. So you double the amount of radiation for just a chest x-ray. And then when the nurse came in after about 30 minutes she has me all the same questions that already asked me. They hooked me to a monitor ask me for a urine sample then you just right away didn't bother to send that to the lab I checked for webs with my blood supposedly and called my doctor they said follow up with your doctor you're fine meanwhile I still had chest pains got home and the symptoms still persist the chest pains or something I've experienced before and have seen a cardiologist Dover getting them checked out my wife left the room to ask for the nurse to come she was told he's fine and it's not his heart that was the prognosis by the guy behind the desk huh no wonder you guys have two stars your professionalism is a f****** outcry

Excellent ER nurses. Got in quickly. Turns out my anxiety makes me feel like I'm having heart problems that are non-existant. Gonna get a masive bill becuase I'm an idiot and probably should have bought some benzos off the street and saved everyones time and my money. This country needs a free health care system quickly. Don't be like me.

Terrible I went into emergency for a problem, they told me it was ok. Since then I been billed by their emerg, room Dr. for a year and more and I've talked to his staff about billing my insurance a least 10 times even one time with hospital billing and yet they will not send me a bill so I can turn it into my insurance I have never received a bill with name of Dr. all received is collection notices. I has still not told been his name or handed a bill. I will never ever go back. Since they told me this was handled again this appeared on my credit report so they again lied after repeated call still no Dr. name or resolution. This has been an ongoing problem and their office is still not helping me with either a solution or a Dr. name. My only option is to sue the hospital to clear my credit as I'm a disabled vet this will cost me a lot of money. Thanks Mountain View for all your help. Worst hospital ever.

My brother had a VERY BAD experience at this hospital. How these people can possibly say that they care about their fellow man is a joke. My brother was admitted into the ER for an allergic reaction to a scorpion sting. He was having trouble breathing and numbness from his finger where he was stung up his arm, to his throat and traveling down towards his chest with hives also and he was scared. The nurses walked into his room, took one look at him and told him that they would not give him any pain medication. He proceeded to tell them that he didn't want painkillers he was scared because of his symptoms and they ignored him and told him that they were discharging him and walked out. Bu the time he came home his symptoms were better and he had tears running down his face because he was so angry and outraged by the way he was treated and for no reason. Those nurses should be ashamed of themselves for being judgmental and for not listening or caring about a patient who didn't even want painkillers of any kind he just wanted help because he was scared. I have never heard anything good about this hospital and I will never recommend it to anyone I care about.

I couldn't be happier. Was rushed to the ER for what turned out to be a kidney stone... and was treated kindly every step of the way. There was a small wait initially.... but pain meds were delivered as quickly as humanly possible. Everything moved in a swift manner... and there was not one doctor or nurse that I came across in 2 full days, that I didn't absolutely love... and I felt that every person there was truly concerned for my well being. I have already recommended this facility to numerous people in the last week alone, and will continue to do so in the future. Thank you everyone... especially Dr. Human and Dr. Cord.... for making everything much less scary.

I had 2 back-to-back knee replacement surgeries in 2018 and chose Mountain Vista Medical Center affiliated Ortho surgeons and hospital because of high ratings...and I was not disappointed. Empathetic patient-centered training and crisp professional management from the surgical suite through patient services was practiced at all times; I felt that my individual needs were made a priority.

If you have a choice of providers and procedure locations please consider Mountain Vista Medical Center (and its attached offices/Residency Clinic/Specialty Medical Practices). And I haven't even addressed the great "room service" hospitality...almost wish I could have stayed longer than an overnight...

I took my fiancee to the emergency room for treatment of a serious kidney/urinary tract issue. The emergency room was empty except for 3 other patients. My fiancee has Lupus and Lymphoma and has a compromised immune system. She was put in a very small room with a chair only and left while patients who arrived after with less than serious issues were treated first my fiancee was basically forgotten about. The nurse at the desk was rude when asked about getting a bed to lay down. Worst experience and worst bedside manner i have ever witnessed. The V.A. treats it's patients better. That's saying something. Terrible!

I had prefered not providing feedback this way; ho...

I had prefered not providing feedback this way; however, we were not provided another method. My wife had a long boarding accident on 12/26/2014. This medical center was closest to us so we took her there. If I have an accident in the future, unless I am about to die in seconds, I will demand to go to a different hospital.

The medical center got her in to the emergency room pretty fast; however, I remember taking them a few hours to get her pain meds. It's difficult seeing your wife in a lot of pain and you can't do anything about it. They took x-rays and the nurse made an assumption that she broke her fibula and tibia in 5 places based off of them. We were told the doctor or surgeon would speak to us about the x-rays; however, no one ever did. This is where it starts to go down hill.

She was told her surgery was the following day at 12:30 p.m. She would be moved to pre-op at 11:00 a.m. The nurses came and picked her up at 11:00. The surgeon didn't show up until between 2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. What made this frustrating even more was that the nurses couldn't provide any more pain meds because they couldn't reach the surgeon. The surgeon arrived, with no explanation to the family about why the tardiness, etc. After the surgery the surgeon didn't come and speak to us - did the surgery go well? Were there complications? Should we expect bleeding? Etc. The nurses advised us that he would visit us in her room later that day.

Another disappointment. The surgeon did not come until the following day. My wife just had her lunch delivered to her. To eat, she lowered her leg in her bed. The first thing he did when he saw her was talk down to her about having her leg down. He didn't look at her leg, didn't inspect the external fixator, and on his way out, back turned, asked if there were any questions. Poor, very poor bedside manner. The few times we spoke to the attending floor doctor and asked him any questions about her care, etc., he told us to ask the nurses. The nurses were shocked by this because he should have known more than they did.

She stayed another night in the hospital. The following day we were told she was to be discharged. The surgeon gave permission for her to be discharged in her papers and left it up to the attending floor doctor to finish everything. Late afternoon rolls by and she still has not been discharged. The nurse informed us that the attending doctor forgot to write scripts for her pain meds. He refused to return to the hospital to do so and told the nurse to get the on call doctor. Our nurses (and I wish I remember their names because all of them were amazing) finally had everything resolved for her to be discharged.

Our follow up with the surgeon, since my wife only had the external fixator to get the swelling down, was that following week, with possible surgery the next Friday. The surgeon was George Myo. Fortunately, I had family members in the medical field who helped us get in contact with Mezona Orthopedic (Dr. Lake) and he took over. The level of bedside manner/service was extremely better than Dr. Myo or any of the other doctors at Mountain Vista. It's sad, you could see and hear the frustrations the nurses had to deal with. They are the only reason we had any semblance of service.

I'm sorry for the long review. I hope you read it in full and choose NOT to attend Mountain Vista Medical Center. Unless you are dying, please go somewhere else. They are a for profit entity and it shows (at least with their doctors). I'm waiting to find out how much I owe them and I'm sure it will be a lot for the horrible service we received.

I may adjust the rating based on their post customer service provided; however, thus far it hasn't been great.

I wouldn't take my cat to Mt Vista even with an open window on the first floor.
My bed had a giant hole where your seat lies.
I had to use the bedside commode and the gal did not empty it. I came back from a colonoscopy and the commode was still not emptied!
The doctor, while I was only in for the colon work, did an endoscope on me, leaving my compromised vocal cords absolutely worse. I should sue this place and Dr. K.

Worst hospital ever! Do not go, drive the extra few miles to a Banner hospital. The staff was rude, did not wash their hands, and the lack of knowledge and care showed. No since of urgency based on patient needs. They do not have the latest tech equipment.
After that we went to a Banner hospital to get my husband the proper care he needed.
