The Theater: What a historic landmark in Culver City. The theater is very well maintained. They still keep the original box office in front of the theater. Very cool~ Inside the theater, there is concession stand, selling drinks (including soda, beer, cocktail & wine) and snacks. There are seating area next to the concession stand. They allow drinks inside the theater but no food.

The theater and stage are not too big. Every seat is good seat. Good sound effect too!

The Service: All the staffs are very friendly and helping. Very pleasant experience.

I just left the theater featuring the life and times of the Temptations in the musical "Ain't too proud. If you are a true motown fan especially love of the Temptations. Then this musical is a must.

My wife and I have been subscribers for several years and the shows tend to be quite good. However, one of the benefits of subscribing if you get access to a subscriber hotline to exchange tickets or answer other questions. I have called that line three or four times, never waiting less than 1/2 of an hour to get a live person on the line. If you re going to offer benefits to subscribers, I d suggest you staff your hotline better or drop it as a service.

I've been a subscriber to the Ahmanson for twelve years, having first seen only one show Next To Normal one Christmas (a gift from a friend) and knowing afterwards we had to get season tickets. Twelve years later, we've seen @ 72 shows. Here's what I know. This is the best theatre in the country. It draws the best of the best of the road companies, the staff at Audience Services consists of real theatre people and real human beings... "customer service" still exists. Sam, Kathleen, Richard, Christian thank you. So many shows, so little time, but I have to gush about being able to finally see Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake this year. It was life altering. Those fierce male swans representing freedom left me in tears. And so many other breathtaking theatre nights: A View From the Bridge, Sleeping Beauty, Bright Star, The Jersey Boys. Thank you CTGLA! We'll get through this quarantine & be back better than ever. Be safe.

We have been subscribers for 42 years and donors for 30 years. The musicals at the Ahmanson and plays at the Taper are almost always top notch. If you enjoy more experimental theater or new plays, and live near on the West side, try the Kirk Douglas.

Fantastic, intimate space. Saw a play here and felt so close to the actors that it really enhanced the experience. Great acoustics. Nice that you can take water to your seat. The parking wasn't too bad, just had to go down about 10 levels! Definitely a great place to see a show.

They are DOPE -- they always have the latest award winning shows as well as several newer shows, so there is always something for everyone in their 3 venues -- two in downtown LA, and one in Culver City. They also do a lot of programming and outreach with the LA community, encouraging young theatre goers and creating the next generations of theatre enthusiasts, whether through career prep or simply providing access to their productions to local schools and other groups. Whether a tourist in LA or a seasoned LA theatre goer, it is always worth it to check out what they are up to next.
