Among the very best theatre companies anywhere in the U.S. for producing new work. Recognized (inter)nationally. Their American premiere of "Cock" staged in-the-round with nothing but great actors doing what they do reminds me that the essence of Theatre intellectually provocative and emotionally moving theatre lives in the imagination. Rogue Machine could stage Les Miz in a 99-seat black box with no set or songs and actually make that play watchable.
We stopped here on a whim during a trip to Santa Monica and were so delighted. Very intamate venue, the cast and writing were superb. We will definitely return when we come back to the area.
Recently had the opportunity to watch the LA premiere of "Gruesome Playground Injuries," written by Rajiv Joseph here and let me tell you this production did not disappoint. For someone who is used to being less than impressed by local LA theatre, this was easily the finest performance of theatre I've seen in this town. Rogue Machine Theatre does great contemporary work that speaks to those of all ages. Trust me when I say you will leave changed after watching a performance here.

I enjoy supporting local 99-seat, Equity Waiver theatres. However, I'm a bit upset for the Rogue for charging audience money for a dress rehearsal...not acceptable!
Rogue Machine is consistantly one of the best professional theater companies in LA. London Earthquakes is riveting and epic theatre.
We saw an excellent play here. This playhouse had the feel of a community theater but has first class productions that rival the biggest venues.
Saw "Picotello" last night. Stunning performances by the entire cast. What a great little theater!
Nice theatre space. Good teayre by a competent cast. 100 Aprils. Director Michael Arabian did a wonderful job of making a compelling play.
