Very nice ambience and indeed one of the best lake view hotels in srinagar

I have no experience. I was just only going for one day.

The hotel is class in itself..... The ambience is of 5star level..... Only the thing is the hotel is not maintained and the water in bathroom is stinky

The hotel is an old world beauty, the staff is really dedicated and hardworking and really great service, rooms are old but comfortable, room service was great, the views are unparalleled and gardens are beautiful, the dal lake feels like a private area from this hotel

This Hotel is not near Dal Lake....It is on Dal Lake.

Whichever room you get, it will have some view of Dal Lake. Very large hotel and decor is from 80's (not saying this negatively but those who like antique rooms will love this place).

The facilities are good but are not up with times. The best part of the hotel is that you can walk up to Dal Lake at any time you want. They have a private viewing deck of Dal Lake and it is one of the most serene views.

Staff are very friendly and helpful and pay close attention to detail. The food was good as well. Hotel has one of the best lobbies I have seen. (see pictures I have uploaded). They have a heater in the room for your comfort (They have an AC as well!!!! not sure who will use an AC in Srinagar climate. They should have spent that money in buying better and more comfortable matresses.). There is a swimming pool but it isnt in use.

Overall, my experience was very good and the views and private lawns were the cherry on top.

Credit Card acceptance can be an issue and it is recommended to carry cash.

Although the hotel is good with nice rooms but bit overpriced. You can get same facilities and view in other hotels with almost 60 percent of the price. Also breakfast is not included in the charges.

Probably the best hotel in Kashmir where Government meetings and general conferences are held. Situated on the bank of Dal lake and at the nadir of sky touching mountain. Pristine view of Dal lake and its mountains add charm to its splendid building.

It is a beautiful place with mountains all around and a lake just adds to the scene beauty of this place.

That hotel builed in 1983, that times it was the biggest and nicest hotel in the north India. Now its realy good for classic horror movie. I heard its Goverment hotel so when you get in, you can see goverment mind architecture. Like a big spor complex or tax building. Very long time they didnt spend any money to renew the hotel and everything they just leave like that. If they spend some money on this hotel it would be beautiful. Staff very kind and helpfull. Im sure they are working there very very long time. That hotel reminds me " the shining" movie hotel. Rooms are very clean, very nice and old furnitures, very very big rooms. Some of the rooms have saloon and 2 toilet, changing room. They put everything in the room what you need. I like the colors in the room. Its bit expensive but comfortable hotel with the wiev. I like to stay in the hotel it was very nostalgic 70's 80's.

My father served 23 years as a Chief de Partie in F&B department in the same Hotel. I spend in Srinagar whole of my childhood days over in Srinagar. I still remember Sundays I went to this hotel. The Hotel (Centaur) would be most memorable moments in my life. I hope will get chance for visit!!

Best view hotal, if you really want to enjoy Kashmir Centaur hotal is best choice..........You can feel safe here...you can get prepaid taxi here for visit South Kashmir as well Gulmurg and Pahalgaon also....WiFi and other facilities like breakfast are available here...best thing is that this is safest place during bad condition......Hotal is located on prime location.....outside view is marvelous...you will realy enjoy here a lot's..but first check your budget..

Location is perfect. Went there during a google event.

Centaur Lake View Hotel situated at the bank of Dal Lake.It's spread in a large area with a beautiful views all around.
There was a time in 90s which was the Golden days of this hotel where it hosts prince and princess of many countries to almost all the Bollywood stars of those era.
Today the Hotel has few visitors and lost its glories of the past.

Beautiful surroundings of mountains and dal lake....

A great property located at the greatest location possible in Srinagar, surrounded by the Dal lake on three sides..every room has lake view..
However, maintenance and upkeep of the rooms is very very poor leaving much to be desired..
