Peaceful trails scented with honeysuckle. Great hike. We'll return very soon!
I would say this is a hidden gem but there where lots of folks there! Great hiking in the middle of the DFW metro. Need to train for a trail run, this is the place to do it in town for sure.
Perfect maintained trails, well marked, and good elevation changes.
Is a good place for a walk the only bad thing about it is that there is too many people and dogs so.e people do not clean after their dogs. And if you are looking for a place to have a quiet walk this is not the place.
This place is MARVELOUS! With its variety of educational opportunities: not just signs and pictures but also ~ lectures, Plus, my favorite: the hiking led by professional hikers and bird-watchers ; along with the myriad of beautiful, natural, well-marked hiking trails...
An ABSOLUTE wealth of places to go and hike or bike or enjoy with Surprise:
The thrill of being an Explorer...
Blazing your own, new trails!

This is a hidden treasure in our midst !!!
SHALOM
Great place to explore the outdoors. A short drive from downtown Dallas
Beautiful trails and scenery. A little more difficult than the state park trails but 100% worth it. I may have a new hiking destination
Love this place and a great get away close to the city when u need that quick though with nature
I recently moved to TX and I found this sweet park. The trails are well maintained. They are cumbersome and some parts of the path are uneven, but it is a beautiful area.
Absolutely loved this place. It is very Great for hiking, and for distracting yourself from problems in your life and/or from being at the house doing nothing. There is animal warning signs in the trails, and they are true. I've seen a huge spider in the trail it made me scared. Just be careful, keep an eye out for animals, and watch your step, one mistake where you step and you could fall and die. Don't worry about it, it's an amazing experience.
It was my first time going. I really enjoyed hiking the trails. We also took sandwiches and water to eat beside the pond.
I do recommend to wear good hiking shoes for there are some challenging trails.
But most of all have fun and enjoy all the beautiful views.
Take a camera /phone to capture your special memories.
Beautiful trails. Good variety of easy and medium difficulty paths. Trails are wide enough that they don't feel cramped even when busy and you have to pass people. Finding parking can be difficult at times but if you're there for a walk anyway a little extra to get to the trails doesn't hurt.
Absolutely beautiful place to hike and to run!
I come here every sat and sun. A great place to meet others and to spend quality time with the family.
It is real nice just gets real crowded and parking gets bad
I always enjoy this place anytime of the day. Make sure you take water if you're going this season... it's quite humid in the canopy
Long and multiple tracks and routes. You can spend an hour or 8 hours hiking. Parking wasn't a problem.
I can't believe I hadn't heard of this place before.
Great place to hike , relax , natural beauty! Makes you feel like your not in the city!
I love this place NOW I know we can make donations and I will be donating next time..
Beautiful spot outside of Dallas! Definitely worth visiting on a sunny or rainy day. I happily did both :) the trails are gorgeous!
It looks nice in photos but the guy at the gate was so rude this morning I decided to skip it. Perhaps better guest management training is needed.
Love this place, always great for a hike, great scenery and changes of terrain.
I loved it ! My dog and I will enjoy it here again.
Great for those who enjoy a bit of a beautiful challenge! Soooo amazing! They have a few trails to choose from so easier, shorter routes are also available.
First timers really loved the trail! Wish all would use ear buds to listen to their music. I prefer to listen to sound of nature. It does get busy and parking gets full quickly.
Love going to Cedar ridge park, theres different trails to take and once you get high enough on the trail you can see the beauty of texas.
This place offers many trail, short or long, that connect with each other and are easy to trek. It s a good place to have a great workout.
Love coming here! And love the views! Only issue I Wish they had more water fountains along he trails Thoe
Great hiking trails, very well marked. Went late on a Wednesday morning, good amount of people without it resulting in running into too many people. Very peaceful, and only a quick 30 minute drive from Dallas.
Excellent trail the escarpment trail is about 4 miles long with great views. It is a medium intensity trail the climbs will give you a workour
Great camping, I would reccomend taking a cart with you, as most of the sites are quite the walk away from the parking lots.
Great views, with flats, steps, and a pond. Highly recommended.
Amazing trails for a good workout and beautiful scenery. Feels great to get away from the hustle and bustle and spend time in nature.
A handful of 1-2.5 mile loops from the parking lot made up of about ten miles of trails with some wild. Parking can fill up quickly on nice days. I recommend getting there early.
Great place to get out of the hectic city and take a quiet stroll by yourself.
Beautiful gem in dfw. Trails for all levels. Even a wheel chair accessible trail. Be prepared to bring lots of water.
It was a fun way to interact and hang out with friends while getting the workout. (We're 18-19 year olds)
Just discovered this secret gem in the Dallas area. Lots of picnic tables so bring a lunch for after your hike! Many trails so you can do short or add more to your liking. Does have incline and decline so be prepared. Bathrooms at trailhead. Get there early or parking will be tight.
It's a great set of trails. Challenging and scenic. Family and dog friendly. Benches along the well-maintained trails help after the more exhausting bits.
Great trail to walk or run. Lots of steps so makes for a good workout. Very peaceful. I easily hiked over 3 hours. Get started early, the parking lot gets full quick.
I love this place !
CLOSED ON MONDAYS
Opens at 6:30 am closes 30 minutes after sunset.
One of the only areas for decent hiking in Dallas. Lots of trails for beginners and intermediate hiker. Because it s so nice it does get crowded so plan a trip for early in the day
It's a great place to take a deep breath and think about nothing but have fun
Well kept trails and facilities, always a good hike with family.
Best place to hike in Dallas since bikes aren't allowed and there are some actual hills.
Wonderful trails. On the weekends parking gets full. Went at 9:50am on a Saturday in may. Barely found a spot.
Great workout and nature...
Bring water!
So worth it :-)
I like spending time here on weekends, great views, nice trails, kind people.
Great place to go hiking. There are many different trails to choose from with varying difficulty. Great for a beginner and skilled hiker.
Great outdoor place. Went on a Saturday and it looked busy but when we went to the trial, we didn t have any crowd. Kids loved it.
Great place and very family friendly. Dogs are ok on a leash and you will see a lot of furry friends here! I will say that it can be hard to get parking if you show up too late in the day, so get there early!
I love Cedar Ridge Preserve! It is a 5-mile route full of vegetation, climbs, descents, bridges, streams, fresh air, beautiful landscapes, etc., a perfect place for hiking, 100% recommended!
CAUTION: This is a great park, and a beautiful wildlife preserve. The hiking trails are perfect for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. We genuinely enjoyed spending the day at this wildlife preserve many times over thre years. Use caution at all times. It's been a little while since my last visit, but there were signs warning of rattle snakes and pit vipers that must not be ignored. I've seen many venomous snakes here. Practice caution with respect of Mother Nature, and you will enjoy the trails and all they have to offer. We found it easy to spend the entire day here.
My family and I always try to go, I have on other Hiking places and by far this is the best in Dallas.
excellent park to walk and enjoy with the family, children have fun and learn,
Excellent environment for some exercise wish more places like it in DFW
Dog friendly hiking trails! The parking lot gets crowded on weekends but the trails didn t seem too crowded. The trails are extremely well marked. Make sure to bring plenty of water.
Went there for the first time. I lived in Duncanville for over fifteen yrs and didnt know it was down the street from me.
