Had an awesome time, despite the rain. Awesome rides and the fact it was their Halloween event made it worth walking in the rain for 8 hours.

I love cedar point!!!!!!!! My husband and I had our honeymoon there because we love rollercoasters and cedar point has the best rollercoasters anywhere.
Always (when open) have the best fish dinners and sandwiches
Best place for roller coasters. Ride wait times were not more than 40 minutes at the most popular roller coasters.
If you love roller coasters, this is the place for you. Great location on lake Erie, decent parking and comparable rates to other amusement parks. Was worried my youngest son wouldn't want to ride the coasters, so we started off with some of the smaller rides. After the first coaster, the gatekeeper, he was hooked. We had a blast the test of the day. Several rides were taken down for maintenance throughout the day, so we didn't get to ride, but I'm applaud the park for their effort to ensure rides were operating safely. Great time, highly recommend!
I absolutely love this place. I've been going there every year and with out a doubt best amusement park ever. Just make sure to go early in the year, it's less busy that way.
Best park for roller coasters and assorted rides of all types. Best amusement park hands down
I recieved the worse customer service I have experienced in years from several supervisor, the park basically took my money then would not allow me to reserve the only day we will be on Ohio from Colorado or issue a refund. This is theft. Would have given zero stars if possible. The attitude and culture Cedar Point has will surely result in bankruptcy and closure
fun for rides. rollercoasters and waterpark and kid area. keep in mind the food costs more there. i recommend a park and pass ticket you can buy the tickets at meijer stores
If you go on a busy day, I recommend buying a fast pass. We rode every roller coaster numerous times with it. It's 100 percent worth it! Expensive, but worth it if you hate lines.. example.. we went on a saturday. Rode millennium force 3 times and then some (moved on to the next coaster) before these people we were watching were even at the beginning of the ride.
Fun place but need to be more educated on food allergies
Wonderful family & food additions this year. Highly recommend Backbeatque for some bbq brisket (recommend the spicy sauce), pulled pork, shrimp, salads, perch & open flame fire roasted chicken. Excellent choices of sides such as corn on the cob, mac n cheese, potatoe wedges. It is also on the all season dining plan. It is located near the back entrance to the park where the witches wheel used to be and directly between magnum & Gemini. It also has live bands performing daily. Very impressive and much needed addition to the park.
Forbidden Frontier is an excellent safe & fun get away for families to relax on the hammocks and rocking chairs while the kids burn off some energy on the massive 3 story jungle gym with rope bridges, tight walks, slides & other obstacles. Great addition for the 3-8 year old range.
Clean and exciting. Best to get a flash pass or something because the ride lines can be more than 2 hours long. The food is good but a little pricy. Best to get here early to beat most of the lines. Even then it's still a long wait for their newest rides.
Wonderful park. Thank you for honoring our Military.
The food options are far better the past cou0le of years including a chick fil a amd panda express
I was so thrilled to see the length that Cedar Point goes to to provide for every individual, including those with autism. If you have someone with special needs in your group make sure you stop at guest services. A lovely young lady named Alex helped us get acquainted with their policy for their boarding pass. A great program which I wish we would have taken advantage of a little more during the day. The boarding pass allows you and four people in your party to ask the person at the front of the line that works at Cedar Point what the wait time is because a lot of times there is a different wait time then what's posted The posted time we learned is in approximate time. So you start off by asking the person what your wait time is they market on your paper your " boarding pass"
And at that time you are able to enter through the exit and go up to ride the ride without having to stand in line. This is a lifesaver for people who have children especially who have sensory issues don't like crowds or have tons of meltdowns. We personally found it very helpful.
I just want to mention the young lady Miss Alex was exceptionally helpful with my son who has sensory processing issues. It is the perks policy to wear bands bracelets identifying the child for the kid find program my son would not wear it on his wrist or his ankle so Miss Alex put it through his shoe. He was more than happy to wear it that way and forgot all about it for the whole entire day. She was kind and loving and very understanding of my child's needs. Kudos to you Alex, For your helplines your compassion and understanding.
On another note I highly recommend purchasing the all day meal ticket band and the all day drink band bracelet. The prices at Cedar Point are very high, purchasing the all day meal ticket for $31.99 which allows you if you want to or can eat a meal every 90 minutes and the drink band that gives you access to a fresh drink every 15 minutes ( $12.99) was a great addition.
Figuring the cost of even two meals and two drinks the bands literally pay for themselves.
You will find though just because you are allowed to eat and have the ability to eat every 90 minutes and drink every 15 minutes It doesn't happen. especially when you're waiting in line for 2 hours to ride a ride like other people in our party had to do because they did not want to use the boarding pass. I'm not quite sure on the cost for the FasTrak but I will say if you have the extra money fast track is a great idea because I continually saw people going through the fast track line and coming back and riding again three or four times before I specifically saw other people coming through, I used to always call it cutting in line but if you're going to have the extra money and you want to ride rides that is the way to go. I didn't get to take any shops in or any shows but all in all it was a great day.
Cedar Point at night..... Breathtaking.
"No phones on the ride" 10/10 best amusement park in america. The best ride is the maverick so wait in line for it for sure. The beach is surprisingly nice on a hot summer day so dont forget about it!
Never go on a Saturday. Pretty much already knew this but thought with the restrictions the park would be far less crowded. Not the case. Super busy, was there the full 8 hours got to ride three roller coasters total.
Ceder point is really interesting and fun, even if you are not a fan of roller coasters there is still alot more to do their than just ride roller coasters and there was even rides for my 4 year old who is short for her age.
Love the fact they have drink stations around the park now
Finding a map was like trying to look for a child you don't have. Then you just gotta take someone else's.... The map not the child...
Amazing as always! It would be nice if there was an adult night only for the frontier festival!
I went September 20th, and I have to say for the 4 hours I was there I had a great time. I managed to ride 7 rides, wanted to ride some bigger stuff but I got on what I could get to with the last 4 hours. That being said, they did a good job keeping the rides moving and the staff was very friendly I can't wait to go again next year and hopefully Covid is gone by then.
Never A Dull Moment Here! The Gate Keeper Is Next. My Daughter Enjoyed Her First Time So Much To See And Do.
Idk i have season pass but not sure the wait is worth it
Best amusement park in the country. Rides are awesome.
Me and my family visited Cedar point back in 2015 and had a wonderful time
This is an ultimate roller coaster Park. Save up long enough to get the "Fast Pass Plus" and enjoy the moment.
Incredible dollar coasters!! I'd give it 6 stars if possible.
Cedar point was great! But the lines were way too long. I didn't like how they had VIP passes for people to skip everyone else. I didn't think that was fair, even if you pay for it. Just to play at a stand it's aboit 5$-10$! I strongly believe that they should change prices and drop things down. The sweaters were 50$! The cedar point "raptor" ride, is most likely to give people headaches. There is not much support for your head. But the view on the ferris wheel is fantastic. Overall, it was cool.
Used to be a lot of fun. Even went on a slow day and couldn't get on everything. What has been done to the mantis is unforgivable. Won't be back for a long time if ever.
I've loved coming here at every stage of my life. But I think I enjoy it the most now as I get to take my two-year-old. They have tons of family-friendly activities, rides, and games!
The rides lines were to long but if you pay more we let you cut in. Not fair at all. The park didn't look clean at all. I think if the are designing rides that a question should be asked. How can we move more people through the line faster. Instead of one track have two or three tracks. I spent over a grand and for the money was not worth our time. That was with no fast track ticket either.
Let me start off by saying the rides were fantastic. What wasn't fantastic was feeling like I was charged admission to certain rides via locker fees. I brought a small hand bag and was told that it couldn't be brought with me on account of its size (they stopped providing bins for your bags and such on the newer rides) and that I'd have to buy a locker at a rate of a dollar an hour up to 3 hours. One of the lockers didn't even lock after I'd bought it, there was no attendant in sight so I had to buy another one. The line said it would take 90 minutes so I bought a 3 hour locker knowing the ride was probably going to be delayed at some point in my waiting. The line took over 3 hours. I went back to my locker only to find that it wouldn't open unless I paid a fee for going over time, my cards were in the locker though. I had to search for an attendant and luckily he was understanding and opened the locker for me. The next thing... fast pass. DO NOT go to cedar point without buying a $110 fast pass for everyone, if you don't you will be waiting in line nearly twice as long while a few get to rush to the head of the line. If the fast pass line gets too long, only fast pass gets to go and you end up waiting upwards of 3 hours only to get your items locked away and asked to pay a fee.
This place used to be the best until they were bought. Service is now mediocre at best, the park is dirtier than ever and most importantly the wait times are terrible. Ever since they introduced the fastpass, wait times at popular rides (raptor, dragster, etc) are typically 30-45 minutes past what is advertised at the ride entrance. I had been going every other year for the past 30 years. They've lost me and my family. It's basically an expensive county fair at this point.
WAY TOO BUSY. RIDES SHUT DOWN. So they really like to hype this place up and talk about how they have like 18 roller coasters and whatnot but in actuality maybe only seven or eight of them are decent with three of them or four of them being really good. The rest of them give you whiplash Headache nausea and back injuries so out of the 18 you get seven or eight good ones. Unfortunately good luck trying to ride even 7 coasters in one day when you're waiting an hour and a half to two and a half hours for all of those rides. There's no way to get a lot done in one day so if you're trying to go on vacation and enjoy yourself that might not happen here unless you enjoy standing in line for way too long. I love roller coasters but I've never been on a roller coaster that merits a two our way. Maybe some people don't mind that but for me I don't mind standing in line at a reasonable length of time for 2 hours is just not reasonable. We got overrun by mayflies and it was so bad they came out by the billions and not too great being on a roller coaster getting a face full of these mayflies. People smoking and vaping in line which is very frustrating. And of course the fried dough is $13 so that's a bit excessive. Only reason it's getting two stars is because like I said they do have a handful of coasters that are very fun and I did enjoy riding those but I didn't get to ride them that much because of the massive amount of people that flock to that Park everyday. And the shutdowns for the rides are a huge letdown for people like me who drive hundreds of miles to experience this park only to get there and be told that major rides are not running. When I went valravn has been shut down for 2 weeks and it still wasn't running. They would shut down the swings they would shut down Rougarou they would shut down the ferris wheel they would shut down the Skyride they would shut down GateKeeper. There was just shutdowns all over the place multiple days for weeks on end. Not very enjoyable at all. And I'm not sure what engineering genius builds a theme park on a peninsula and then shuts rides down due to wind. Yea nice job, way to think it through.
First off, shout out to a kind stranger and Cedar Point Lost and Found! I (stupidly) set down my phone next to the sink in the bathroom next to the arcade after I sent a text and left it there. Someone was kind enough to turn it in to Lost and Found, and I was able to pick up my phone just minutes after I realized I had lost it.
I've been coming here since I was a kid, around a total of eighteen years on and off. The rides have gotten better -- there's so much variety! Pipe Scream is by far a new favorite. I had a great time on a day trip and here are a few tips:
-Eat outside the park before you come in. Everything will be crazy expensive so you can at least save money on the meal in.
-If you only have a day or two in the park, spend the money for the fast lane pass. It's really worth the time you save.
-Download the Cedar Point app on your phone! You can check out wait times and ride status (if a ride is down).
-I have never stayed in any of the resort hotels but a friend recommended going after the summer season. Rates in the summer hover around $200 to $300 a night for certain locations but if you go during the fall, you could stay for as little as $90 a night. Your other option is to stay at a hotel just outside of the park.
-Bring a reusable water bottle. There are plenty of water fountains you can use to fill it up as your day goes on. Otherwise, be prepared to pay $6 for a bottle of Dasani.
Most of all, have fun! Wear your sunscreen, eat your way through the delicious food, and ride on!
Loving this place. If u Love coasters, then this is the place for you.
Stayed at Hotel Breakers. Went to the park two days. Had previously purchased fast lane bands so we were allowed to use them. No waits at all! Walk right on rides.
All the big rides were up and running and the majority of smaller rides as well. Quite a few food places closed, but still plenty to choose from. Reduced crowds, social distancing, mask wearing and frequent sanitizing throughout the park was excellent. Hand sanitizer at every ride. Was very impressed with everyone and everything on this trip. Would highly recommend. We spent one day at Kalahari and it was a joke. Very little precautions and way too many people for a pandemic.
I usually like to go onto the kids rides. This year, I decided to work up the courage to go onto the big blue one and the scary red one and loved it! It's too bad I am not allowed to go here anymore :(
Cedar Point is my favorite place in the world!!! It s perfect for rollercoaster junkies like me!
The most recent time i was there was 2003.
When i went top thrill dragster and millumium force was broken. The prices are high. Its crowded.
I will be back
You'll get so much exercise while having so much fun!
OMG what a great place the rollercoasters were outstanding. Going for a second day and can't wait.
Bought tickets back in February now i wont go due to the pandemic and the parks requirements to enter the park i wont go emailed them multiple times and they refuse to give me a refund very poor customer service.
one of the best parks out there. insane coaster lineup and a lot to do.
Fun place but too packed with people. They need to work on organizing lines
Busier than it should be, but then again I'm here.... gotta get Christmas!
Best. Place. In. The. World! My family goes to Cedar Point every year and has loved it every year. I have seen many comments about people not having enough money to buy fast pass, and to that I say, life is like that, the more money you make to nicer house you get, the more money you make gives you a better experience at Cedar Point. The staff was very polite and friendly, while everything such as restrooms and hotel rooms were sanitary and clean. I could not say enough about how great this park was. I am a little disappointed that you are required to wear masks, stand 6 feet apart, and have a limited capacity, right from the start I have believed that everyone is overreacting about the coronavirus. This is the first year we will not go and I have to say I am sadder than I have ever been. We also get fast passes every year and it is totally worth the money! It gets you on about 4 times the amount of rides including some of the smaller ones too. The fast pass plus is even better because it gets you on the big rides also. The Breakers and the Lighthouse Point cottages are clean, modern, and have a beautiful view of the lake and the park. Cedar Point has completed our summers for over 10 years and I do not plan to let that tradition go.
I think too many people is let inside at once. Otherwise, the workers are politeful, and the park is clean.
Not completely Cedar Points fault, but every line was 2 to 3 times longer than normal due to Covid. Every roller coaster needed 2 empty rows in between occupied cars. Seemed like they could've asked groups who were together to sit together. Then lines could move much quicker. There were quite a few attractions and restaurants closed. I'm sure some of this was staffing issues. They did turn the arcade machines off right at 8:00. In the past this is usually what everyone did as they were making their way to the exit. They usually stayed on an hour longer. This seemed a little much, despite the ticket prices were the same as pre-Covid. The park was clean and the staff was friendly.
Best place EVER! We didn't go this year (decided to try Six Flags). Never again. Cedar Point is the best!
It was fun i suggest going with a fast pass or else you will be waiting hours to get on a ride
I feel like this place was hyped up too much. For it having so many world renowned rollercoasters I thought the rides were just okay with the notable exception of the Maverick and Steel Vengeance. I would suggest exploring a bit as there is more to do at this park than just the coasters such as glass blowing which was super cool! Some of the smaller rides are just as thrilling and the lines are much shorter for those. It's a good place, it is just over hyped.
This place used to be one of my favorite places to go but not anymore. If I buy a cup to use for the day and they have bins to put stuff in I should be able to put my cup in there!!! I am beyond angry they should have a sign that lets us know ahead of time that we can't go on specific rides with a cup. This is supposed to make people have a good time but it ruined our trip!
Went and had an awesome day, got a platinum pass so i will be going frequently. I live about three hours but its still worth it hands down. Started off by riding some of the amazing rides then going to the beach and swimming. Ill follow up with more information when i go more, the lines was kind of long so im going to try a monday and see the difference.. maybe this one even though the pass gave me a disscount on the fast lane i didnt want to pay all the extra this time. You also get access to the park a hour prior and after.
Very beautiful we had lot fun, i drove 2 hours from Michigan but it s worth but not all games open maybe due COVID-19 we will make again maybe next summer
While sanitation, masks, and social distancing (for the most part) was enforced well, NO TEMPERATURE CHECKS WERE PERFORMED. We were directed to a tent, approached the people with the temp guns, they didn t move or call us over, made no attempt to start taking temperatures. Everybody just walked on through. This was about an hour after the park opened for the day (8/21). Everybody around us got into the park without a temperature check, which is even more concerning as it was a very hot day and it wasn t uncommon to see people pull their masks down for a bit to cool down. Ok Cedar Point can t reasonably control how people manage their own masks, but they can follow their own safety measures that are laid out on their website. Potentially hundreds of people entered the park without any sort of screening for COVID, as I don t know how procedures went the rest of the day or how the other tent operated. Do better, Cedar Point.
Also, know before you go that ride wait times can get long due to sanitizing. We only ended up going on 2 rides in 4 hours, though that s what happens when you go to an amusement park in a pandemic.
A great all around resort. If you stay at the Breakers, the Marina or the Campground, you can come to the island for your stay and not leave until it is time to go if you plan it out.
Great time for all ages! My girlfriends and I went for spooky Saturday's and had so much fun. With all the rides food and shows there is sure to be something for everyone to join in on.
Be sure to have a fanny pack or use a locker because things slide out of pockets on rides.
Great place very fun although quote expensive. 30 dollars for a pizza and drink
Cedar Point let in way to many people during halloweekend. The wait times were all 3+ hours and it was packed everywhere in the park. I expected fog and employees dressed up all over the park but there was so many people that they couldn t even get the fog to stay. I love the park but it was way overcrowded. Rides are fun and halloweekend is always fun they just need to control how many people show up
Anniversary special is s great deal! Park is very well maintained, continue to add new rides. Family fun.
Awesome place for weekend adventure.
I have visited this place twice, the rides are super fun.
Absolutely the best amusement park. I would say the world but I have a few left to visit before I can say that. It will be hard to beat tho.
The rides are 5 star, the oppressive views of the front gate attendant and customer service representative were shocking and personal.. citing the private property entertainment Cedar Fair amusement Corp website dress code "generally offensive" attire is cause to refuse admission into the park.. I understand the statement but, without a clear guideline or "unpublished" company policy that the person in charge at customer services had referred to, the sole decision of company policy rests with a young girl offended at a piece of clothing with the word "butt" written on it.. I was refused admission until I turned the shirt inside out or changed entirely.. the whole 20min(approx) side mission turned into a clear violation of the constitution of these United States of America that I swore an oath to uphold..
As I said before, I understand the policy and with no clear guidebook or published order to this very strict dress code you take your chances with attire with the word butt upon it..
But wait, but wait there is more..
How many young people were dressed in workout clothing so tight it looked like it was body paint and not clothing at at..
Short shorts you ask about..??
Shorts where the actual gluteus was more prevalent that any word written upon my shirt.. so much exposed in fact that I was pretty sure 1 person had undergarments on as their clothes.. all of this allowed in a grand fashion as I stood against oppressive "made up" company policy.. I say made up because no written dress code was produced and apparently if I am a young woman dressed in clothes so revealing that people around me can see my grooming habits, I'll instantly gain access without a look of disapproval..
Bravo for picking and choosing which rights remain mine and which rights stop at the front gate.
Sincerely,

Clean safe comfortable. Very nice staff. New food items available. Staff presence everywhere
We'll run and maintenance. Get there early to ride popular rides without a long wait. Fast pass is worth the high price.
Rides are definitely some of the best I've ever experienced. However, I love to spend time (and money) in arcades and Cedar Points are run down, dingy, and need a major overhaul. 30% are out of order and the selection of prizes available are outdated and limited. They are missing a huge opportunity to make more money.
This is truly the park with something for everyone: endless rides for every age group from toddlers to seniors, well placed restrooms throughout, handicap accessibilities, food stands as well as sit down restaurants, beaches and lake breezes, nearby hotels & motels, generously wide pathways to navigate through the park, well placed benches for sitting and people watching, the feeling of cleanliness on the grounds as well as the rides and structures, live bands and entertainers intermingling with the crowds, and special occasion days to celebrate such as HalloWeekends throughout October (pics below). For those on tighter budgets you might feel a pinch in the cost of things, but even if you just went once a year you'd make a memory you absolutely would never forget. There are lower rates for late afternoon entrance and don't forget to check for discounts both online or through AAA, they're out there and they can make the trip even more enjoyable.
Simply one of the best amusement parks in the world, that's all, no need to add to it. Just GO!
Great place, a 5 hour drive but worth the trip, already planning for a return in spring/summer.Strongly recommend to everyone to visit.
Came from KCMO to visit relatives.
Since it was only open on weekends, Sandusky was in complete gridlock and had to shut down several roads. It took more than 2 hours in traffic just to get over the causeway after a 2 1/2 hour trip just getting there. The good rides varied from an hour and a half to four hour lines for less than 60 seconds of massive rush. Needless to say we didn't get to ride all we wanted - we got to ride four coasters.
Still, worth it. Great place and always will be!
Had a blast and stayed safe! Everyone followed the rules and the employees were awesome
Cedar point is one of my most favorite places ever. The rollercoasters are a blast. The scenery is beautiful. I love the nature to this park too. The train is one of the best rides. My favorite is the Top Thrill Dragster. I usually bring my own food here due to the price and quality of the food here. Kind of wish the bathrooms would get remodeled too.
I m very happy they opened this season but access passes for large rides were an absolutely horrible decision. We were only able to ride 4 ride the whole 8 hours they were open. Which is a small amount of time.
Good rides and atmosphere...just this place is becoming way too busy. I remember when Halloweekends was a fun stress free time, but now it s the busiest time of the year. Hour long waits to park and then hour long waits for a ride or haunted house.
Bravo Cedar Point for requiring masks upon reopening! You have always been a leader in the amusement park industry for placing safety first.
Coronavirus is a proven public health risk and poses a danger to all of us especially given its highly contagious nature and risk of asymptomatic spread. For those who oppose, stay home. We don t need an outbreak here in Sandusky nor do we want our local hospitals and precious healthcare workers overwhelmed by inconsiderate people who infect others.
Had a great experience. Do yourself a favor, stay at the hotel, buy the fast pass plus and meal plan for your day. It may cost a little extra but you have so much time to experience all that this amazing park has to offer.
The draggester was literally amazing. I've been on roller coasters and everyone talked it up so much but nothing can prepare you for that feeling when it takes off!
They offer so much for the kids for Halloweekends. The park was clean, all the staff we were in contact with were extremely friendly. We are so happy we bought season passes.
It's Cedar Point! It's amazing. I give 5 stars because the roller coasters rock!
This place has no morals or family values. My family and I had a trip planned paid for rental car and hotel... our tickets were purchased online but for some reason never processed. When I called the following day to resolve the issue they could care less. The 6 tickets I purchased had changed in price by almost $700! When I pleaded my case and asked them to correct this they re only response was our prices are subject to change . Now my entire family trip is ruined and needs to be canceled because of an error in THIER system. Money seems to be the only interest for cedar point not making customers and family s happy. I ll be sure to let everyone I know about this and veer then away from visiting this park.
You need at least two days to enjoy everything this park has to offer.
