Cedar Point-Cedar Fair Review

Cedar Point is the ultimate destination for anybody. If you don't like coasters or rides they have a beautiful waterpark called Cedar Point Shores and if you don't like waterparks they have a beautiful mile long beach. My whole life revolves around Cedar Point and it truly is a place like no other.

Cedar Point is without a doubt my favorite amusement park. The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable and look like they actually care about their work. The setting is incredible and with the park being completely surrounded by water, you get some UNBELIEVABLE views on rides like WindSeeker, Giant Wheel, Millennium Force, and Valravn. Even if you don t like Roller Coasters (which Cedar Point is known for) there is plenty to do for everyone. Be sure to plan out your visit though, Cedar Point is the most visited seasonal amusement park in the world and some days are very busy. They are incredibly efficient with ride operations but that doesn t mean you won t see long lines. Fantastic for a short family getaway, or for an adventure for the adrenaline junkies.

Top thrill dragster the best. The experience is phenomenal. It s more exciting when you experience it. I have been two times many more to go

This place is absolitely amazing. All the rides were in operation. Everything was clean and efficiently handled. I advise to stay there the whole day because it cost me a heavy $82 with parking, for a day pass and the best rides have a over 90 minute wait time. Expect to spend over $90 per person for a day.

They have emergency medical service available right there if you need it. They have clean sidewalks and rides. All of the rides were working. They have rides for everyone. They have a variety of different foods and drinks available. They have many gift shops. The employees are friendly. We always have a fun family time at Cedar Point.

Well, Kids went for the 1st time ever. It was my favorite place as a kid. Now, I know why my parents saved money for the trip. My kids rated Cedar Point a 10 out of 10. Looking forward to next year for the kiddos.

Great roller coasters / too many people allowed in the park at once.

Hands down very amazing park no ride is disappointing at all.

My only issue is they give away too many Fast Lane/Fast Lane plus tickets a day! So when the lines combine with normal lines it s a cluster. Why pay $200 for a ticket if you gotta still wait an 45 -hour? Highly disappointed.

Cedar Point is simply the best amusement park on the planet. If you enjoy the thrill of the ride and you have yet to go here you are doing yourself a disfavor.

Great as always you feel like a little kid again but I spend most of my time on their Beach close your eyes for second I thought I was in Florida

The park has been re opened for about 1 week now and there are less open rides now than there were on opening day when I came up before. There is a total of 11 open rides in the whole park and 3 of them need access passes to ride them and they aren t handing out anymore till 3:30 they told me when it was only 11:15. The remaining open rides are all kid rides except for the raptor and valraven which are the only 2 open coasters that do not require an access pass. I m glad i live less than 2 hours away but even that is not worth the drive up here.

Loved visiting the park. But it stormed really bad so left early. But planning another trip soon.

It has the best rollercoasters by far, the Maverick is intense and awesome rode it 4 times in a row . The place is family friendly and not just for youngsters, good adult rides also, highly recommend this place.

I believe there should definitely be more shade and maybe even snack/drink kiosks in the lines. Vending machines run out and aren't always functional. As I kept noticing throughout the day.
Other than that, I had a nice time.

Even though some of the line were kinda long , it went kinda fast but it is worth the wait .

Always a fun time. Seemed a little less kept up this year. Plus we ended the day stuck at the top of the Big Ferris Wheel for 45 minutes. We got a voucher to skip the line on 1 ride. Wow. Thanks at 9:30 night. :-(

Fun, clean park for all ages. Expensive, but worth it. Just bring food and drinks in coolers to leave in car. Would go back/ recommended.

My teenagers LOVED it! Not a ride my adrenaline junkie daughter missed! We are already planning next year's trip, all the way from Florida!! Maverick was such a pleasantly wild ride for all of us ... didn't expect such a thrill!!!

Best park for roller coastet enthusiasts. That really is what this park is all about.
The water park section is pretty small and the focus really isnt on the shops, so if you came for something other than coasters your in the wrong place.

Since so many of the coasters are so extreme, they dont allow bags or lose clothing hardly anywhere. Ither wear pants/shorts with pockets that ZIP CLOSE, or wear a belt pouch. There are lockers but they are few and far. It really is best to just bring absolute essentials.

The place overall is great. The customer service is what brings it down. Area supervisors we're yelling at staff infront of customers and it made everyone uncomfortable. Also one of the workers in sweet spot was terribly rude when my friend asked a question about cotton candy. This place may have better rides than KI, but KI definitely has way better customer service.

Lots of rides and roller coasters I took my granddaughter and we had a great time

No place on Earth comes close to the fun of Cedar Point!

Very fun. There are rides for any age group. Its a really big park. Wear comfortable shoes.

No shuttles to the beach due to COVID. Do not pay for parking if you don t have cedar point pass and only want to go to the beach.

It's Cedar Point. It's the only place in this quarter of the country to ride a decent set of rollercoasters. It does this and it does it well. World class thrill rides for a decent price.

I can't give it five stars because outside of the new bbq place, the food is expensive and typically garbage. Additionally, any type of decoration, theming, or show is also terrible. I only deduct one star for this because nobody goes to Cedar Point to eat quality food and watch shows, which probably explains the lack of energy spent on these amenities.

Columbus Day weekend is way too busy. There all day and only managed 3 rides on Saturday.

Loved it Haven't been here in a very long time. Finally took our son for the first time and his friend. Open to close, many options for rides, food, drinks, etc. Boys had so much fun. Biggest downside is the cost, we could go to Michigan Adventure at least 5 times for the cost wee 5 spent to go for one day with 1/2 passes.

As far as Parks go its Nice.. The problem is Im 6'4" and Don't fit on any of the rides.. waste of my money... BIG TIME cause there is no signs you have to wait and see if you can get on the ride.. when you can yoy stay at the station while the rest of your party has fun.. For me I wont be back...

During covid. Discounted tickets, not alot of rides open. Made short wait times. Access pass were available for the more frequent coaster, we obtained 3 of the 4. Coasters were amazing. Wouldvr had more fun if water park or any water ride in general wouldve been open.

Lots of thrilling rides. Food inside the park gets upsettingly busy around lunch time and is excessively priced. Lockers are also absurdly priced. I recommend to only bring into the park what you can carry.

I gave 2 stars because I am a disabled person that can't ride rides and can't do the shows or any of that. I pretty much go in and watch everybody else have fun but yet I am made to pay full price for admission. It is a nice park but that price is not right. Everyone has fun while I get to sit on my scooter. In my eyes they are just greedy!

The greatest set of thrill-seeking coasters and attractions in the US. Having visited regularly for the majority of my life, I've learned the layout and the ins & outs of avoiding some of the inflated concession prices throughout the park.

Amazing place even though several coasters were shut down. That part was a bummer for our children.

I can't say enough good things about my trip to Cedar Point today. The coasters were amazing, there was lots of entertainment for folks that don't ride everything, and the food choices were ample. Not all the food was a hit, but I highly recommend the lake perch basket and the toft's Frozen Custard. The facilities were clean and the landscaping was so nice that I felt like I had attractive and interesting things to look at. Some designated smoking areas were comfortable, shady places with chairs to relax in. The super fast pass and the day beverage pass were totally worth the money. I truly haven't had this much fun in years and I cannot wait to go back.

I loved the rides but the lines were extremely boring. Would like it if the rides could go a bit faster, for shorter lines, and for a more thrilling experience.

Great Coaster Park. On par with Six Flags Magic Mountain.

CP is always fun! I'm not impressed with the fast pass program though..line wait times for the guests shouldn't be lengthened by a bunch of entitled people just because they paid an extra hundred bucks for their visit..it was more fun when everyone had to wit their turn..

Huge place i was there for 2 days and I'm sure i didn't cover it all.

They could do so much better with moving the lines along with the covid cleaning. Disney had a much more efficient cleaning process.

Since my daughter loves the new roller coaster at Kennywood, I decided to visit Cedar Point on August 13th. It was a fantastic day! The only ride that was closed was the Top Thrill Dragster which was a disappointment to my daughter.

I m not sure what some other reviewers are referring to as far as size but I m 5 2 , 210 lbs and had no problems fitting in the seats of the roller coasters; I was able to ride them all. Now getting in the seat of some rides was a different story because I m short...lol

The drink wristband was included in our admissions tickets. We had no problems getting drinks. I purchased an all day meal ticket and thought the participating restaurants was fine, the food was okay and there was a good variety of food. The food at Hugo s Italian restaurant was good. My daughter liked the pizza.

I bought two fast lane plus passes. Overall it was worth the extra cost even if the way it worked on some rides was weird (pass holders would merge with the regular riders so there would still be a wait time while the fast pass lane for other rides took you to the platform).

Everything was pricey but that s the case at any place like this so I expect it and wasn t surprised. It s not right but what other choice do you have?

Overall it was fantastic and expect to return next year.

I used to love this place but like many things in our current society, their reaction to COVID takes much of the fun out. Waiting in long lines just to get a ticket that enables you to wait in another long line for rides that are running at half or less capacity in high summer heat while wearing a mask is not much fun. This is my favorite ride park in the world, but much like the rest of our society, something needs to change.

Still one of the best coaster parks around... pleasantly surprised to find more vegetarian and gluten-free options for food than on previous visits. Also, they've done away with the aggressive picture-taking staff at the entrance. Good move. I continue to be mildly annoyed about the whole FastLane deal, as park entrance is already not cheap, but I guess you make money where you can.

Really needs single rider Lanes, the rides are amazing but it's so hard to get on all the rides you want in one day. Universal and Disney have changed, y'all should too

Lines were really long when I went but either way was fun and can't wait to go back.

It is absolutely humiliating to be kicked off a ride, because the backup restraint doesn't fit, even though the primary one does. I can understand wanting to be safe, but this is just over the top, to the point of being discriminating. There are test seat on some of the rides, but not others. However it really depends on the ride operator whether or not they can get the restraint on. I was kicked off a hand full of rides, that I had already riden earlier that day. It's real fun to wait in line for 90 minutes to be humiliated. I will never return here. I can go to a number of other parks where I fit into the ride with no problems. Only reason this isn't 1 star is because Magnum XL is a fantastic underrated coaster.

Food is outrageously priced. But the rides are AMAZING. Still love going here even as an adult. Great place to have fun and have a weekend getaway!

Waste of time and money. Rides are half to 1/3 full. They shut the rides down every 30 minutes to clean. Half the rides are closed. Vouchers have to be obtained for the good rides and are difficult to get. The park is only open 9 hours. we were only able to ride 5 rides and none of those were the premium coasters.

We Love Cedar Point, Adult or child you can always have a great time. I have been coming here since I was a baby.

If you like roller coasters, well this is the place for you!

Not a fan. Just drove 4 hours to come here to find out the water park is closed ( I didn t see anything about the water park being closed On the website when I purchased the tickets and only half the rides are open) plus now you have to pay extra to ride certain rides. Staff tried to be rude. Lol. I m very disappointed. Not wasting my time driving back here. Save your money and time.

Always a good place to go if you like roller coasters. Better than King's Island in my opinion. If you like riller coasters then it is a must to go there.

We had a great time! Park is very pretty and the rides are fantastic.

What a great amusement park!! Very clean everywhere almost Disney esq! Coasters for all types of riders, big and tall, fast and thrill seeking. Then there was the water park too and they had several great rides especially the drop waterside! Avoid going on the weekend as the wait times for the coasters is crazy up to 2hr 45mins!!!

Awesome amusement park!

Pros: Great rides, nice hotels, and food.

Cons: Long lines, expensive [i.e. food, drink, fast pass], awkward layout [hard to find certain rides and hotels were far away from entrance to the park].

Side Note 1: Make sure you buy tickets close to the day you're going and assure that there is no poor weather. This will shut down both the rides and the water park almost all day.

Side Note 2: DO NOT buy the souvenir cup which comes with free refills. Not only is it expensive [$16] but it also cannot be brought on rides. They will make you purchase a locker for each ride which is a minimum of $2 per ride.

Side Note 3: If you are going on a weekend or known busy day; **buy** a fast lane plus. You skip hours worth of lines and although it is expensive [between $90-$140 depending on the day] it is well worth it. Do not settle for the less expensive fast lane option as those rides you don't really need a fast lane given that the line for those rides are already generally short.

Side Note 4: Avoid the water/splash rides if you have a phone on your person or if you do not have a bathing suit on.

In conclusion, the park is like any amusement park but with much better and exhilarating rides, which is why I rated it so high given that this is what people come to an amusement park for anyways. I mean new or old, every ride makes it worth the money to go. Yes there are expensive items and long wait times but that is what is expected of every amusement park. I am definitely going to go again in the future and would without a doubt recommend this over Universal or Disney World.

Very relaxing, first time in a long time no mad crowds

I ve always loved Cedar Point but somehow today was offering extra on lines and little on fun. Just too busy on the weekends with inadequate organization for cleaning protocol.
Prepare for long lines on the food too.

My husband and I purchased season passes this year (first time for me) and we've been there 4 times this season, TOTALLY WORTH EVERY PENNY! The staff are always courteous, helpful, funny and just all around great people, the entire park is clean and beautiful. Whether your looking for a family Adventure or just want some adrenaline cedar point is definitely the place to be! I can't wait to go back! And for first timers I highly suggest millennium force and gatekeeper!!!

Halloweekends are great, especially if you have kids that enjoy halloween. There is so much to do and enjoy.

Everything was very clean including the rides, sidewalks, and bathrooms. They have a wide variety of rides for every age and preference. Of course there are long lines for the most popular rides, but other rides have reasonable lines. Food was OK, and not as expensive as I feared. Views of Lake Erie are a nice bonus.

Hands down the best Cedar Fair Park, Great Coasters, clean great staff and a great experience

So many unique, award winning coasters here. I read ahead which ones are rough, so i stayed off of those and all the ones i rode were very smooth. The park was clean. Great price. Yes, lines are long. Staying at the express hotel and going in an hour early got me on 3 coasters before general admission. Can't wait to go again.
