My wife and I visited Ceder Point for the first time today and had a terrible experience. We are both disabled and plus size. She is petite and about a size 18. She was only able to fit in 2/3ds of the coasters. I am tall and a little bigger. I wasn't able to fit a single coaster. There were no seatbelt extenders or accomodations for larger guests.
The park was also extremely confusing to navigate as a guest with accessibility issues. One coaster sent my wife up and down the ramp multiple times to three different people to get her ADA pass stamped, before realizing nobody had a stamp. A few staff members were very friendly, but most of them either ignored us completely, or glared at us.
The good things about this park are the app, and that there are test chairs for some rides - but not all, and you might get glared at for trying them.
I'm sad that I spent $100 to only enjoy two rides all day. I won't be back.
Had a great time. Cost is too high for me to go again. I don't ride rides I just go to take the grand kids so the parents can have a good time. The Halloween scenes was awesome.
This was actually the first time I've been there and well over 20 years. We had a great time there I can see they've done lots of changes over the years. We went there for the Halloween Haunt themed evening. Looking forward to returning again.
Our family really enjoys our visits. Love the rides and accommodations. The college staff is exceptional and work very hard.
We stay at the Breakers and go to the park with fast passes every year and my kids love it. With fast passes it brings the wait time for even Steal Vengeance to thirty minutes or
less. The Breakers is very nice and I was 100% satisfied with my stay.
Has always been (and will always be) one of my favorite places on Earth! The rides are amazing, and even if you don't ride, there are plenty of things to do.
My family and I visited on August 15 and 16. Waits were average for the summer the longest was 45 minutes for the incredible Steel Vengeance. This Coaster was awesome. My family and I cannot wait to return!!
Love all the variety of coasters. Nostalgic feeling when going this year after a 15 year hiatus.
My friends and I had a perfect trip August 15 and 16. Every ride in the park was fully functional and the longest wait time to ride was 45 minutes for the incredible Steel Vengeance. This Coaster was more than I expected. It s refreshing to see a ride not only live up to the hype but exceed it. Cedar Point has such a grand entrance now and also much better access to the beach and boardwalk. The renovation of Hotel Breakers is fantastic and the late-night beach party is a great ending to a fun and busy day inside the park. We cannot wait to return!!
It was my 1st time to Cedar Point and it was GREAT I had rode Millennium Force. Boy was it fast but it is a long drive to get there and back home.
Roller coaster capital of the world. Steel Vengeance is spectacular and unique. Millennium Force is tall and fast. Love this place.
Can't return my tickets. I used to love cedar point but I will sell them as ND never go there again.
Love the roller coasters, the shows, and the campground. The campground is one of the best features as long as you have a camper to bring because no tents are allowed. Price is not cheap, but the overall park experience is worth the money. Bring your own food if you want to save a lot of money.
Bought a season pass because it's that fun, and I've been going my whole life.
There's not much to say. This is the most epic park in the world.
Took family to C.P and very Fun wish had another day so good went back still didn't get a chance to ride steel vengeance 3.5 hour wait but maybe next time wish fast pass wasn't so expensive.
Awesome rides - unfortunately many of them were closed due to bad weather conditions (safety reasons). Make sure to check the weather before you go there ;)
Great park only downside is poor hotels in area and overcrowded park at most times
Great time as always, the employees were great. I feel bad for them because soany people arent mature enough to keep their masks on so they have to babysit. Thank you for all your work so we could have a good time
Been going as a family since 2004. The experience never changes. Just keeps getting better
Not big on roller coasters, but had plenty of rides that I do enjoy. My teenage sons loved it, though.
Will never spend money for this place again!!! Rides closed down all the time and most the games in arcade broken. Glad others have had good times but 3 out of 3 has been a bust for my family,so NEVER again.
Loved the park. Very clean. Rides were fantastic.
Biggest downfall. Select employees like to pick and choose which visitors rules apply to. There are a few rides that you are not allowed to bring bags onto. There are lockers near by and most visitors are asked to go put stuff in a locker. (Which we need to pay for, whatever that's not the point now) BUT here's where I get angry. As I'm coming back from placing my bag in a locker, a young female is asked by young male employee to go do the same. I continue into line. The guy directly behind me still has his bag (same drawstring bag I was asked to put away)... Then 2 min later...young pretty girl that was asked to put her bag away strolls up with her bag. As I look around I can clearly see multiple people still with bags in line ahead of me as well. This left me quite upset. I had to go pay $10 for a locker that other people have not had to do! Very unfair. I left the ride and the park due to irritation from rules that don't apply to everyone. Especially young pretty girls.
The rides are incredible. The reason that I am rating this 4 stars is because the gold pass extends the lines a lot longer than they should be.
Great variety of rollercoasters. Certainly one of the top five amusement parks in the US.
Celebrating 150 anniversary this year.
The staff are working really hard to make sure everything stays sanitized and i like that. They are very professional and polite to everyone even when reminding guests to follow rules precisely. :) We had so much fun. Even with the social distance. Its actually better like that i think. This way nobody would bump into us and everyone gets their space.
Pretty fun place nice people..Good food.had a great time
Just visited today and thought the crowds were not bad, but the parks efficiency was terrible. When we arrived at 10 am, the Gatekeeper allowed the crowd to line up, but the ride did not take passengers until at least 1040..also as I made my way down the midway a lot of rides were closed saying their opening was delayed. I would think.for all.the hype and high ticket prices, EVERY RIDE should be opened. Gemini only operated 2 trains the entire day (they could have had 4) and no racing possible. Corkscrew did not open until.4 PM despite the on line ads saying they had a new look for their trains this year. Really? I think Cedar Point is capitalizing on quantity and not quality. They are deliberately making wait times long by being less efficient and making regular wait times longer to encourage Fast Pass sales. Frontier town is still.a ghost town because the rides in the back of the park are not opened.. Steel Vengeance did not open until.after 1, despite all the hefty hype. Maverick was not operating until.after 12. Come on folks...food lines were no better...long lines and poor service yet high prices. As much as I hate to say it, you are ruining a good thing. My love for a summer day at Cedar Point is becoming more exasperating as the years continue. Forget about adding more, make the park experience more efficient.
Got there at noon but do to all the changes we were only able to get on 2 decent roller coasters the entire day.. many top coasters were down and to ride anything good required you to stand in line to get a ticket only to have too come back at a later time to stand in line for the ride.. my advice is to skip the rest of the 2020 season.. I basically flushed $400 down the drain today
Don t go during covid. Most rides were closed. Water park was closed. No fast passes being sold, Their staff could ve been nicer today. The 4 rides I did get to ride were nice, short but nice. Not worth the money
I have ALWAYS loved this park since a child BUT since upgrading and becoming more popular some changes I dont agree with such as you used to be able to bring food in to the park and now since they have allowed name brand food joints in that no longer is an option. The food is half par. This time we got the food plan which I would NOT recommend to anyone because there are no drinks included and the side is ALWAYS fries no matter what you get. The drink wristband is definitely worth it though. I am saddened to see the hire of international kids that dont understand English working in the food areas. Trying to ask a question is IMPOSSIBLE. I do have to say that I accidentally purchased an extra ticket online and Guest Services was more than kind to refund me with no problems so overall its still one of my FAVORITE places to go!!
always awesome experience but this time I was very disappointed people got stuck on a ride that I was in line for so they compensated by just giving a fast pass or one ride which I think should be a little bit more because it takes so long to get to the roller coaster it's always an hour to two hour wait I do believe compensation should be a little bit more should be an Express Pass. To all the rides and I understand because of covid-19 still with limitations people are not following the rules of 6ft distance between waiting in line for rides...
I travel from Illinois just to go here. Way better than other major amusement parks. Very Clean and customer friendly staff.
Be prepared to wait in long lines and wear your mask but all in all my family had a good time.
If you love roller coasters,
THIS IS THE PLACE
Awesome place, great for kids. But you need to be a certain height to go on them. Other than that it was great!!!
AWESOME BEST DAY EVER
BEST ROLLERCOASTERS BEST FOOD AND BEST SHOWS
They were doing the socially distanced thing, which was kind of annoying, but it worked out. Spacing stickers on the floors, lot of sanitizer, and they did this thermal check of everyone when you enter the park (A family in front of us got stopped bc their kid was running hot, so itseemed to be functional. )
Heres the deal: You get in line at 11am and 3:30pm at the ride to get a time slot to ride that ride. We were able to get in multiple lines in time and were able to ride everything we really wanted to, but we were sweating a little because those lines were super long, but they gave out a lot of tickets .
It's okay if you like roller coasters because there's not much else to do there although I loved Planet Snoopy the best oh, there was some entertainment there are middle school kids singing or something on the stage and dancing but it wasn't that interesting and I like the animals I don't think I'll be going back
Normally this would be 5 stars and a glowing recommendation. It seems like Cedar Faire miscalculated on their $99 season pass. This likely the reason serious over crowding caused many complaints. The coasters are unmatched in height, speed and design. Everything is super expensive (like any major park). Go with a game plan and do your homework. It's going to be busy
The rides are amazing as always. The sad thing was service at food places not that great but the food was good. Hard to see not all the rides running. But we still had an amazing day at cedar point!
Amazing park but due to covid would rather wait till next year. Lines are extremely slow with few people in line.
Best theme park in the world! Has so many awesome rides!
As FABULOUS as EVER!!! We are season pass holders and we went for the glow nite on the beach..SUPERB!!
Cedar Point is a great amusement park! It s great for the entire family, they have the kiddy land for all the really littles and big roller coasters for all the big kids. Lots of great food options at the park too!
There were lots of new rides to enjoy. We had a great time.
I normally get season passes for CP. AND I LOVE IT!! The rides are fun and thrilling for anyone. The coasters truly give this place a name. But one problem. THE FOOD IS EXPENSIVE!!! For people who just want to stay the whole day, we need food that is cheap, and we don t want to carry a full wallet around all day. Thanks!
We had terrible flash flood rain on and off for 3 days prior. It was the Sunday after July 4th. 7/7/19 and it was kinda of a cloudy day. A lot of the rides weren't running, I don't know why! It wasn't totally packed with people. I've seen it a lot worse crowded. But the price of admission and everything there is just to damn expensive. $5.00 for a bottle of pop $11.00 for a hot dog. $75.00 each to get in. Hell No! It's almost as bad as going to Disney! We took 3 of our grandkids and it cost us a fortune!! I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon!!
Love this place! All the rides are fun and exciting with different levels of intensity. Great family place to enjoy. Few different food options and little shops.
Always a great time. Love going on all the rides and they have it setup very well for social distancing
Loved the park. I did mostly walking around because my legs are to big for the rides. The food is extremely expensive for food that doesn't cost the much outside. For two chicken strips and a hand full of fries it almost 13 dollars. Halloweekends is family fun nothing really scary. For adults it a lot of walking and watching but for the kids its its a blast. Its 50/50 for your experience.
Nice clean park lots of rides mostly coasters. Discount tickets for Michigan residents include all day drink wristband. What a great deal!!
Bring your own food and get preffered parking. Best place ever
2019. Been coming here for many years. Our family prefers this to Disney world when it comes to rides. Park is always clean and staff are made to follow standards that keep a clean image... No smoking, eating, etc in the view of the public. Shaving, piercing, hair, and tattoos restrictions as well. Any given staff taking pride in thier park can be seen randomly picking up trash left by guests. Mean streak, formerly a large wooden coaster, was completely remodeled into steel rail coaster. It is smooth, fast, and you will lose count of the number of rolls and loops. If you like speed and lots of inverted track, this will not dissapoint. Try going at the end of a hot day for $25 each for online price. Many guests have left due to the heat and the lines are much shorter. Same holds true if you can hit the park at a day than many guests were rained out. Midweek always less crowded. One down side... I really miss the laser and fireworks show they once had. Hard to top that.
Never a bad time at cedar point except for it was a little hot
Great assortment of coasters. Willing to take some smart risks with coaster design. You can tell that they care about the park,. Not just in attractions bit in cleanlinesss and landscaping as well.
Fun place to go, need a few things a little more organized but over all a great place to spend a couple days with my family
Been coming here since the early 90's and Cedar Point is always upgrading and improving the park. Fun for the family!!
Great thrills, must rode top thrill dragster. Gets your heart pumping!
By far the best rollercoaster park in the U.S.. Having been to many other theme parks, I am always disappointed because no other can compare to Cedar Point. If you like rollercoasters, this is the place for you. Hands down, one of the most fun and exciting time of your life. Arrive early so you can get a full day in. Go during the off season to avoid long lines.
Loved coming here as a kid. This is by FAR one of the best amusement parks in all of North America.
Best ride park in Ohio. Try to look up deals online before coming.
This place is my heaven on earth!!! I am a roller coaster junkie (It's like crack to me) and Cedar Point has the best selection. There's something for everyone here. Haven't been in years, but hope to make a trip back in the near future.
Had such a great day. Rode lots of rides. Food is over priced so plan accordingly.
Grandkids had a great time here, nice place I will be back again one day.
Top tier amusement park. Impressive selection of rollercoasters and other thrill rides. If you are a coaster fan this is the place to visit.
Boom, Cedar Point is doing this! The social distancing is going well, honestly they can keep this rule. No one right up against you in line! The masks are enforced, but plenty of rest stations. Plan for Steel Vegence access pass availability times, they are gone in 45 minutes. Lines move quick, STAFF IS EXEMPLARY. Totally worth the 2 day visit, they restore faith in humanity. Plan to practice some patience, but overall, they are nailing this.
This is the best theme park in all of America. I only wish that I didn t live in Texas so I could come back every summer.
The masks were too much an under staff to say the least..
This place is amazingly clean. It runs smoothly and in my 25 years of visiting I have never witnessed any hint of trouble. Smoking areas are conveniently located throughout the park, if you need them. Every attraction is easy to access and if you need any special accommodation, the staff are happy to help you out. The park is beautiful, the rides are fantastic, and there isn't a bad view. The food is pricey so figure that into your budget. The newer rides have longer lines, yet I have never waited the entire time the signs tell you.
Took the kiddos, for a Friday it wasn't super crowded. The rides didn't have a super long wait (less than 15 minutes) and the funnel cake was delicious. Had some cheesy garlic parmesan fries which were tasty. It was a nice hot day, and the log ride was refreshing. Everybody had a good time, we'll have to try and make it back before the season is over
Don t waste your time going here ever since they started selling the gold passes. I went last weekend for halloweekends and the Park was completely full and cars backed all the way up to in the intersection not able to get in. I got to ride 4 rides and was there all day, also it s difficult to get food and drinks with the lines being insane. I m sorry I love cedar point but this was some bs, I can t really enjoy halloweekends as much as I d like to in the past. So overall don t waste your money or time at this place. Don t care at all for the people and for the people who had to travel from whiles away just to get cut away becasue the place is too overcrowded.
Cedar point is always great. The Michigan Bundle made it easier to afford and we had some great moments with friends.
It was one of the best days I've had in quite a while. I'd suggest the resort. A little mini vacation. It takes two days to really soak it all in. In my opinion.
Clean amusement park with great roller coasters! Fun for the whole family. The food around the park is not cheap but the quality is excellent! Went on a dreary overcast day, best thing you can do! There was no usual lines ,15 min wait at most for all the rides. Definitely not the largest but definitely one of the nicest!
Greatest amusement park in the world. Home to the best collection of roller coasters. A MUST VISIT.
Show many rides to go on, and I loved it, especially the hotel and beach. However, the food was very over priced, and as priced as it was, it wasn't very good, I had some chilli cheese fries, and it made my stomach hurt super bad, sorry..to much info? I would have rated it 5 stars if I didn't have that type of experience.
Worker for 2018 and 2019 season it was good. Great group of workers
This place is amazing. It has anything you could ever ask for in terms of entertainment. The roller coasters are a lot of fun, the staff are friendly and enthusiastic, it is a great time. Highly recommend.
Awesome place to have some fun. Best roller coasters I've ever been on. The lines are long but the rides are worth it. Only reason for 4 stars is that the last time I went many of the rides were shut down for maintenance without explanation or estimated time to be closed. Also pavilions outside the park entrance could use a decent cleaning and paint job.
I remember the first time going to Cedar Point back in the summer of 2007 and went back Cedar Point again from 2009 to 2010 plus the prices were very good and cheap plus the rides were amazing and the food was awesome especially they have the T.G.I. Fridays restaurant along the shores of Lake Erie it was an amazing experience and it's a great place to have fun.
