I ordered a 10oz steak cooked medium. While waiting, another man was sending his back to the grill to be re-cooked. When I received my steak it was cooked rare. The baked potato never came with any toppings. The manager was aware of the situation and never approached me about it. If you are going to advertise as a steakhouse then the cooks should know how to cook steak. The management is no better than the cooks. Terrible service. Terrible management. Terrible meal that I paid over $30.00 dollars for, NEVER AGAIN! AVOID THIS BUSINESS! They are not as advertised.

I tell you what. Every time we go to Cattleman's it is fantastic. The lamb fries along with house dressing is delicious, not to mention the toasted bread pieces that taste fabulous in the house salad, with house dressing on the salad. The steaks, no matter which one you choose is always tender, juicy, cooked just right. The baked potato or steamed veggies are great too. The ice tea is always fresh or you can get a margarita which is mixed to perfection, the latter is always my choice. Then if you have room, a piece of delicious coconut cream pie, which is my husbands favorite. They have many other choices of dessert, which are all great. Then it's time for a to go box and you have lunch for the next day. I'm chomping at the bits now. And we've ate at lots of well known steak houses around the country. If it's good enough for a President like George W. It's darn sure good enough for me. We are on our way now. Um um Good. I'm Starving #MadeinUSA
Amazing service and food! Best steak I've ever had in my life! All of the side orders were extremely tasty hunting rings macaroni the warm bread and butter and the garlic ranch dressing, wow! Really really great service, and reasonably priced. Large Long Island iced teas under $8!
When coming don't expect 5-star restaurant ambiance, because then you will be sorely disappointed. Instead think of it like a home on the ranch with an old grandmother in the back cranking out stellar chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes with love. The service is homey, fast, and excellent, with waitresses waiting years to join the team... legacy helps. Although the ambiance may not amaze do not judge until you taste that steak, although you may wake fifteen pounds heavier in the morning, you'll be fifteen times happier.
Been there twice this week. Enjoyed both times. We had filet mignon, T bone and the Rib eye. All were cooked just right. Service was friendly and the big surprise for us was the Cocunut cream pie was out of this world good.
The BAD news: Do NOT get the, "Hawaiian Chicken" ( if that's what that was ). Three-fourths of it was like eating a rubber eraser with sauce on top. Peach Cobbler: Horrible. It was rubbery with little taste. Salads: They're like the cheapest, bagged lettuce you can buy at Walmart. The GOOD news: The Rib eye steak, cooked medium, was great. The rolls taste homemade, but still not as good as Texas Roadhouse rolls.
Always a great steak, great service, & great experience. Love coming her for anniversary & birthday celebrations, or just because we have a night off together!
I rarely give 5-stars, but this place is more than deserving. Ribeye steak was excellent in both tenderness and taste. Fresh steamed vegetables and salad were very good. Service was great! Price was very reasonable for what we got!
Great atmosphere and service, food was okay. My lunch ribeye was nearly half fat and the potato was extremely tough & dry (cooked to long) great roll & salad.
I've been eating here for 50 + years.... I've already looked forward to going here to eat.... The ONLY GOOD thing about this trip was the elderly wait we had. He was exceptional, accommodating, and very friendly. Unfortunately, my family probably won't be back. We have noticed over the last couple of years that it wasn't as good but just cooked it up to bad timing.
The food was incredible. The filet mignon wrapped in bacon is a must try. Potato skins and onion rings were also great. Billy Jack is the best waiter I've ever had. He had some good jokes, a great sense of humor, and was on top of everything. The father in law, husband, niece, nephew and I all had a wonderful time.
Love this place! Anytime we have out of town guests, we always bring them here. The atmosphere, the food ... ...the look on their faces when we tell them what the lamb fries are
I had the 10 oz Rib Eye Steak and it was practically flavorless. The macaroni and cheese however was very delicious. I would not recommend this location - at least not for their steak.
I don't know where all these other people giving this place rave reviews are eating at, but it was one of the worst steaks I ever had. Very thin and tasted like tenderizer. Only one person in our group thought the steak was ok, but this person orders a filet well-done, so I don't give that much weight. Very high priced for what you get. Service was friendly, and maybe other dishes there are OK, but I won't waste my time or money there again.
This is not the meat of mere mortals. This is the place you go to find the best damn steak you have ever had- you don't put steak sauce in it. You don't pepper it, you don't salt it. You don't need more than one side. Because the meat stands on its own. This is what steak should be, this is how beef should be consumed. You will enjoy the warm, tender steak with every flavor filled jucy bite.
Steaks are some of the best around. The aus jus the pour on the steaks is to die for. Very friendly service in an outdated yet neat setting for a great dinner.
First time eating here. We arrived at 5:15 on a Friday evening. They were just starting to get busy. Our waitress was very informative about the menu. We both decided to have the prime rib, baked potato, salad. Steak was perfect. Their coconut cream pie was to die for, mile high meringue! The wine menu was nice. Very good choices to choose from. As far as prices for the entire menu, I'd rate it a $$/$$$.
Visiting From Orange County California and this place was Great! Rib Eye was delicious! Mac and Cheese was AMAZING it's a must have. Harris and Tyson were so great, very nice.
Still one of my favorite places to eat in OKC. I took my 20 year old, steak-loving son when we were recently in town and he ordered the filet. I ordered one of the daily lunch specials (Hamburger steak). As always, my meal was awesome and the price was more than reasonable. My son said his steak was very good but it didn't "blow him away". He compared it to a recent meal we had at Mortons and said it "wasn't quite as good". I don't know if Cattleman's uses dry aged beef, but that could have been a difference between the two places. Anyway, I always enjoy eating here any time I'm in OKC.
Fantastic service. Dined in close to closing time and was treated with great service. The steak was fantastic. On the pricy end, but definitely worth it.
By far the best steaks every time I have eaten here! Having been born and raised in Texas and in the middle of cattle country, i have the authority to make this claim. But beyond the excellent food, the quality in offering the best experience possible is unsurpassed! I had the pleasure of having Kim wait on me. Gotta tell you that lady gives the best service ever! I will surely return again and again!
I am rating a 4 purely on the customer service. The waiter we had was excellent and attentive. The space was cramped as we had a party of 11 and seating was barely for 10. I do understand it was a large group so not bashing too bad as they did offer a different table with an additional wait. There is a large wait area with a bar and drinks were strong...good for most. Food was okay compared to most places I have been in N.Y. and the east coast. It was not horrible but steaks slightly overcooked and shrimp dry. I was expecting more on menu and expectations with steaks.
I was told on the phone that they are first come, first serve..no reservations. We showed up around 8:00pm and the place was PACKED! They sent us upstairs to the waiting room with a light up pager for an 45 min to 1 hr and 15 min wait. Upstairs there's a bar to get drinks with a tab-open option. It didn't feel like 30 min and we were being sat at a closed booth near the kitchen. Zack, our waiter was awesome! He fixed us right up with our order and we wanted to try everything! Most we had to take home. First, we ordered potato skins for our appetizer...yum! They were so soft and delicious. Then, we both got the blue ribbon special ribeye steaks medium well that also comes with a salad with house dressing and huge rolls, loaded baked potatoe, a side of steamed broccoli with cheese sauce and strawberry shortcake. We were stuffed!! and we only ate a potato skin, bite of the broccoli to taste, the roll and steak..all the rest had to be bagged up. I think we almost broke a $100 bill or even over with the tip, but even with that and the wait this steakhouse is totally worth it. They're open till midnight and they said it usually slows down between 8:30-9:00 pm.. probably the best time to go in the evenings if you don't want to wait.
The place is lovely, the staff is wonderful, and the food is scrumptious. The only critique I have is that specifically the stake knives being a tad dull. Marred an otherwise delightful evening if only in the slightest. Keep up the good work!
Everything about this place is amazing. The service is always spot on. I have never received a steak that wasn't cooked to perfection. The lamb fries are so tender. This place is wonderful for a special family dinner or date night. Seriously give the business a visit.
Best food in a long time. Our waiter, Tom, was attentive without being overbearing or pesky. The service was top notch, food was tasty and fresh. I'm sold! I'll be returning again soon.
The food was okay. I had the lamb fries, which would have been pretty tasteless without the sauce, and the house dressing on the salad just tasted like a lump of mayonnaise. I was there on a Monday afternoon and the service was lackluster. The coconut cream pie was good though. I would be willing to give it another try if I'm ever in the area again, but I was surprised considering all the five-star reviews.
Id say 3.5 stars. Steak and potato good. Salad needs a Little work. They should offer onions in the salad. I was told the house dressing was like a garlic ranch. Maybe i got a bad batch but there wasnt really any garlic in it. Tasted mostly like buttermilk. Yuck
It was terrific. Our waitress was the best we have had in a long time excellent waitress. And the food was amazing. And the bartender made the best margaritas we have ever had seriously they were great. We will drive the 2 hours it takes us to get there again very soon. Thank u for making it so enjoyable. We don't get out by ourselves very often but we do know that cattleman's is definitely our new get away .
Very good food, great for a date night or special occasion. I also love the lamb fries and would recommend this place to anyone. The steak is pricier, but it is worth it.
For a steak house, not very good sreak. It's cooked on a flat grill. I can't believe this place has been around for so long. We were given a daily special menu and of course, they didn't have the food for this menu, just the regular menu. We only went here because the ratings and the were so good. I got the cfs cuz the were OUT OF RIBEYE, and it was rubbery and l laughed when my husband's "pepper" steak was brought out. They must eat differently in the okc. Save yourself a trip.
Words cannot express how disappointed I am about this place. We came here to celebrate my niece s 15th birthday. I was so excited about coming here because I haven t been here since I was a kid. You see this place advertise on TV and the president has eaten here. So I was excepting good service and good food. My steak came out cold, and my baked potato was hard as a rock. The butter would not even melt. It took the waitress forever to bring out the rolls. I had to ask several times if I could have a straw for my drink. Which I still never got. I will not be returning.
Mighty fine job by the staff today for our Christmas Party. Seemed they were super friendly and happy to be there for us. The food was great. Except we were served run of the mill cupcakes instead of the phenomenal pie like last year. Overall, you just can't go wrong with Cattlemen's.
My 3 friends and I came from Michigan to visit a friend for her birthday. We had a more than wonderful experience here. Our waitress tabitha was amazing! She went above and beyond to make our experience better. The food was soooooo good!!! So much food! Even though one of our steaks were under cooked as she requested well done they fixed it and cooked her a whole new steak and brought it out for her to take home. Amazing service. Very happy.
Our server was very efficient and very polite. It was the best experience I have had at this restaurant. The food was excellent as always but the service was outstanding. I think her name was Dena. I will ask for her next time. She answered questions about our steaks and the history of the restaurant that I never knew before. Great job! I will be back yummy
Nice steakhouse. Friendly staff. Very busy place with long wait or you can sit immediately at the counter. I sat at the counter. Service was quick. Steak was delicious.
Atmosphere is exactly what you hope for in a steakhouse. Feels very personal.
The best part was definitely the food. The steaks were cooked exactly how we ordered and tasted wonderfully. Will definitely come back if I'm in town again
When they say the best steak in Oklahoma they aren't kidding. To go at dinner time is to almost guarantee a wait, but it is more then worth it. Add to that a very friendly and helpful staff and you have a great night out. Prices are high but not unreasonable for the quality and amount your getting.
We got there at 7 on Friday night and there was a 45 minute wait. They have a large waiting area upstairs complete with tables and a full bar so it made they wait time much nicer. We waited closer to an hour to be seated. The waitress was friendly and on top of things and the food was amazing! I got the small filet (7 oz) and it was cooked perfectly! The prices were a little on the high side but definitely appropriate for the quality. I would most definitely come again.
What can I say it's Cattleman's! For my birthday I flew in from Florida to see family and eat at Cattleman's. It's been 7 years since I last ate there, and back then I would have given it 5 stars but today it's just a 4. The service was great, the beef soup was still fabulous, and the steak tasted great. I had the 16oz ribeye and it sinewy and hard to cut through all the way. I ordered it medium rare and it came out rare, none of our steaks were cooked the way we asked for. Cattleman's is still a classic in my book.
Quite possibly one of the best places in town to go and eat an amazing meal and enjoy being in a place where the locals go as well. Service is phenomenal and the steaks are cut and cooked to perfection!
Went in with my motorcycle group and had the Sunday special as a 16 oz porterhouse for a 1699 steak was super tender a little Gresley but was aged so it made it awesome anyway!
Staff was knowledgeable and fun!!! On a business trip and was cutting up and enjoying. Was distressing. Great place!! Amazing food!! Youve GOT to try the mac and cheese! Amazing ribeye!!! Thanks Gordon.. youre an amazing waiter!! Goodman? Loads of fun as well!!!
Very tasty steak. My only concern is consistency of cooking. I've been there three times in the past six months. Each time I've ordered a filet medium rare. One time it was just right, one time or was barely pink, a once it blood red in the middle.
