Cattlemen's is an experience nearly every Oklahoman has tried. It's a steakhouse, but the last few times I've eaten here the steak hasn't been particularly good.

Tonight my expensive bone-in ribeye was gristley, and not seasoned very well, but the salad was good, the bread was great, and my blackberry cobbler was spectacular.

I think next time I'll stick to Texas Roadhouse. I've never been disappointed there, chain restaurant or not.

For a great steak, Cattleman is the place! We ordered the onion rings for an appetizer. It was delicious! Not soaking in grease, and large portion. We both ordered the rib eye, and it comes with a side salad with in-house creamy ranch dressing, a big roll, baked potato with all the fixings! A busy place on a Saturday night. We didnt need a reservation. The servers wear masks for safety and I saw people wear a mask coming in although, once inside, there are mix. Some wear them, some don't. I also noticed that some area of the ceiling is falling apart. Obviously need repairing. I dont know if that's part of the charm of a historic building but I wouldnt want to be seated there incase it comes crashing down. There is a bar upstairs on second floor where most people were waiting for their table. Overall, Cattlemen's Steakhouse is a great place to eat a great, tasty steak.

I've been here several times. My last experience was awful. My husband and I both ordered the porter house, they ran out as we were ordering. No big deal, so we both order different steaks that were much higher in price but that was fine too. We both order our steaks medium. His was perfect! Mine was rare. Very rare! I don't like sending my steak back but I did. Waiter brought it back to me, still rare. Sent it back 3 times. Everytime he brought it to me it was barely warm and still rare even after the 3rd time sending it back. I started feeling bad, I didn't want to seem like the problem so I told the waiter it was fine. Needless to say my dog ended up with a $27 steak. The waiter agreed that it was rare but told me the steak was just really thick making it hard to cook. I'm sure this wasn't the first half inch thick steak they've attempted to cook to medium. Poor excuse. Not sure if I'll go back anytime soon.

I came here with my daughter and son-in-law and brother-in-law to eat lunch. I had a steak and baked potato and salad. My steak was cooked just the way I like it. I had enough to bring home half of the steak and potato. Our waitress was really nice and got all our orders right. We only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table for four. The staff were all wearing their masks and it was a great lunch.

Phenomenal steaks!! One of the best steaks I've ever ate. You've got to try the Double Duce beer! Debbie, our waitress was excellent and on the ball with drinks, food, and history of the restaurant. Going back in the morning for breakfast!

We came from other state with very hight expectations about this place. So many good reviews and articles about this place; but then once we tried the steak was tasteless, not too tender, no flavor, the salad was ok. The hostess and server were kind and attentive. We went there for lunch maybe the dinner chef is better.

Best steak I have ever had. The service was also very friendly. You could see the staff helping each other out by bussing each other's tables and helping whenever possible. The food was crazy good and that's all that really matters.

Cattleman's is an Oklahoma City institution. After talking to about 20 different locals they all made the recommendation to dine here. The steaks come from the source, with the cattle yards being across the street. The lamb fries were on point and their house beer was thirst quenching and delicious. If you're in the OKC area, be sure to dine here.

Very disappointed after a long wait and overpriced beverage. The steak was just OK. Baked potato and rolls were very good. Went there for steak though and it was a flop. Restaurant could use an uplift as well.

I ate at cattleman's last night and was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Billy jack was my waiter and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area

Cattlemen's is great. The steak was delicious, the service was excellent, and the rest of the food (props to the house salad dressing) was awesome. A bit pricey, though, and they didn't allow reservations. All-in-all, a very good experience!

Here we go... Location and sorounding area was nice, parking plentiful, good stores all around. When you first walk in you get this dungeon smell, old. Needs better air circulation and maybe tile floors would help. Waiting area upstairs was a decent size but needed a better feel. Maybe some music, better lighting, tile floor, once again air circulation, cleaner/newer look. Went on a Saturday so wait time was 30min, expected. Three mixed drinks $21. Got seated, waiter was on her game... Did her job. potatoe wedges on point, order them. I ordered my steak medium well, top five for me in taste perfectly cooked. Wifes was good as well but not cooked as well. Had six in our party, ordered a wine bottle, etc... $220. Be prepared to spend.
Cons: place was too dated, air circulation was stale, seating seemed cluttered
Pros: good service, great food, good location to walk off the food, decent vibe

Meh. Party of five. Pepper Steak sauce is processed gravy with pepper and meat was chewy. T-bone steak appeared wet looking. Catfish was adequate. The meat was cooked to the asked for doneness, medium rare. Salad is basic iceberg lettuce and house dressing was flat and flavorless. Lamb fries are good and rolls were fresh are good. Fries were okay too.

Great place to eat and the food was perfect!!! No TVs, no music, a family oriented restaurant, no yelling or screaming when trying to talk with friends and family, service was great, fast, courteous, friendly, and professional. A lovely old style restaurant with excellent steaks! You will love it, and the prices are fair. Thanks!

I have to say that the food, drink and service on a Saturday night was all that I had hoped for. The service was exceptional, the steak was exceptional, the Southern Comfort Manhattan was perfect. 10 minute wait for the two of us. It's family dining so not quiet. I recommend if you want to get a steak Oklahoma's Cattlemans is the place.

We had a large party. The joint was hopping but our waitress was awesome. The food was great. My aunt's porterhouse was well done and she ordered it medium. The waitress saw this and had a new one out in no time at all and it was cooked perfectly. The lunch portions are filling but the prices are pretty good....wide variety of food and prices for everyone's budget. I will be returning soon. Had not eaten there in 30 years and now I am wondering why I stopped going! Highly recommend!

Went there today for lunch with my wife. She had the full size rib-eye and I had the 8oz lunch sirloin. As usual salads were great - especially the dressing but steaks were only average. They were cooked as ordered and served very warm but both cuts were not near as tendered as we ve experienced in the past. We visited here many times over 30 years and while service is always excellent, quality of the beef seems to have gone down.

Not very good service. And for $100 I will not be going back. Steak is not as good as a fast food sandwich. Chicken fried steak was just about the worst I have had. Lemonade and rolls were fabulous though.

Spending some business time in OKC, I decided to venture out to all the places recommended by Guy Fierri's Diners, Drive ins, and Dives. This place was unfortunately the most time affordable for me at the moment. Cheap diner quality steak priced at near $30. Mashed potatoes I could have microwaved myself. Plus there was no music and I was sat next to the wait staff wrapping silverware talking about how much they hated their job. My waiter was cool though

Very very cozy, warm place to get together and eat. Best steak that I have had so far and definitely the best Margarita I've ever had. The staff was friendly and I love the fact that if you do have to wait during a busy day, there is a bar upstairs with tables and TV's.

I'm from Indiana customer service and food is great although on a busy day it can get really hectic in the parking lot and indoors especially indoors where all the employees are running like a heard of buffalo but that's the only downside and it has tight corridors. Big Shoutout to waiter Robert for being such a great waiter with amazing customer service.

I've been to Cattlemen's on several occasions and the steaks in my opinion are not up to the standard you would expect for such a highly acclaimed restaurant. The ribbon content is often quite high and as much as 20% or more of the steak fatty. Without causing a conflict of interest I'll say there are better steaks for the money in Oklahoma City and not just at high end restaurants.

My wife and I always go-to Cattleman's everytime we visit OKC. We have never had a bad meal in the years we have been going. Today was no exception. Brought the daughter and her friend with us and they enjoyed everything as well. Harris was a waiter for today's visit, he did a great job.

I called on Friday to confirm that they had prime rib on Sunday. The wait staff that answered the phone assured me that they did have it on Sunday. Well, our waiter apologized for the misunderstanding. The meal was as always delicious, but we, as a group of 5 was set on the prime rib.

Great steak, decent service in historic Stockards City. My steak was actually cooked as ordered. The entrees come with a side. Popular spot in Oklahoma City. You can also buy your Cattlemen's souvenirs here.

I have been dining at Cattlemans for many years. (4 decades) Always great food never a bad experience. I left my iphone there on 2 occasions over the years. Both times it was at the counter waiting for me. The people are wonderful. I had a nice conversation today with one of the retired waiters who has become a good friend.

This place has been around for a bazillion years and there was a one-hour wait and there's a reason why... The food was delicious! They don't take reservations but you can put your name in and walk around town or go upstairs to the bar while you're waiting. They have an excellent selection of wines and the steaks were delicious with full sides of baked potatoes salad rolls sauteed mushrooms... Really a great evening! Excellent Service as well.

If you want a good steak in OKC, this is an absolute must. The local treasure will not disappoint with any cut of beef you select from the menu. I will say there are a few things lacking at Cattlemen's... I'm not sure many places in the south could stay in business without offering ranch dressing on their salads, but their house dressing is a decent alternative. The wait for a table is always long, especially if you have a party larger than 4. I've always enjoyed the food, and out-of-towners are definitely impressed with the quality, but if you're a local and you've experienced Cattlemen's already, you will spend less time and money going elsewhere.

The filet was really good and the service was great. The building has charm but the seating in general was really terrible. We were seated in a really small booth with a very low partition. Instead of enjoying my date I was distracted by looking at and being looked at by the couple next to us.
