Absolutely beautiful church and very knowledgeable staff. They even hold a free guide that talks about the entire history of the church. They even hold services still, if you come on a Sunday.

Beautifull arquitecture, a very solem place of prayer, just bhreathtaking and impressive!

Beautiful and peaceful place. The renovations done to it was worth it (All 13 million?) Too bad that it being over run with tour groups kinda takes away from the peaceful atmosphere.

This place is gorgeous!! It was closed when I went but I enjoyed the outside!!!

Wow-The Basilica is gorgeous! The paintings are breathtaking, the stained glass windows are beautiful-everything about the inside of the Basilica is simply spectacular. We have attended mass a couple of times and the organ and choir are wonderful, they make the mass even more beautiful than it already is! The priests we have heard both times we went were also really good. I highly encourage a visit to the basilica and attend one of the masses if you can!

After 12 years of Catholic school, I was sure I'd remember some Latin, genuflecting, the sign if the cross. Everything was as I remembered except the priest held service speaking only Latin! Most are no to fluent in Latin. Xmas day, perhaps............

This is just a beautiful place. A classic, beautifully structured piece of architecture set in historical Savannah. A must see if you visit Savannah or reside there. Just breathtaking.

An absolutely beautiful Cathedral! We attended Sunday Mass and the Bishop greeted us. We got to talking and learned that he had spent some of his Seminarian time in the city next door to us. Small world!

It's an historical and beautiful experience. They also had an elevator for handicap.

Beautiful cathedral- make sure that you don't come during Mass times if you want to sightsee in the church.

Very beautiful church. The inside was elaborate. The sign outside was very informative. The only thing was the handicap entrance was closed.

Gorgeous cathedral inside and outside! The architecture and detail is simply amazing! The ornaments they sell are beautiful as well. So glad we stopped in lit a candle for our father s whom passed away. Next time I would like to try and attend a mass.

Amazing. Beautiful. A Savannah must stop. I have been to many cathedrals in my life; the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist is one of the best. Visit and enjoy.

Beautiful inside, amazing, they ask for a donation, $3.00 ok then I ask about a restroom and it s a NO! Really you want my money but cannot allow anyone to use your restroom? I am sure the volunteers have a restroom!

This is the most breathtaking church I have ever had the privilege to visit. I was so overwhelmed with gratitude, love and oddly enough sadness all at once. We were speechless from the sheer beauty and craftsmanship. You can also make a donation to keep it so magnificent and light a candle before you leave. There is an elevator on the side as well. Don't miss it!

Classical style church with excellent stained glass and frescos

The atmosphere here is unreal! So much architecture, so much history! It is still.an active church, so as respect you can't where any hats or sunglasses inside, which is co.completely fine. Just know that before you go in. Once inside the abundance of beauty is unlike anything you have ever seen. Nomatter where you look the level of detail is absolutely incredible!
