Beautiful, we went to Mass there. Loved the atmosphere.

Such a beautiful church. Peaceful, calm and serene. A great retreat from the house of the street. Amazing history and architecture.

Breathtaking architecture and art. And a wonderful place to have a solemn moment of prayer.
No disrespect but, modern design lacks the symmetry and beauty achieved here.

Beautiful church. Well worth a visit. There are tour guides so take advantage of them, they have wonderful stories about the cathedral and Savannah.

Absolutely beautiful place to visit. Tremendous pipe organ. I attended mass at 10am on Sunday and could not hear the very good choir due to the powerful organ music, it was way too loud, drowning out everything. I would not go back for Sunday service again. I will visit again as it is so beautiful. The loud organ music is due to an over zealous music director/organist. Spoiled my Sunday.

The Cathedral was on the top of our list of things to see in Savannah I can say it didn't disappoint. The church features beautiful artwork, and sculptures.

If you are planning to visit Savannah , Georgia . I highly recommend a visit to The Cathedral Of St.John the Baptist. Honestly no words to describe this amazing Cathedral. Give your self plenty of time to walk around and be sure to have a great camera on hand. I have being to this Cathedral three times and every time has being amazing. I know some of the trolly tours stop off at this location. Just check with your tour guide before purchasing your tickets. The structure inside and out side is absolutely incredible. Lots of attention to detail went into building The Cathedral Of St John the Baptist. It should be noted I am originally from Dublin , Ireland, Traveled all over the World with the US Marines and the United States. I definitely know a great Cathedral from my Travels. The Cathedral Of St John the Baptist in Savannah, Georgia is a must visit and rates ten stars and more!!!

Amazing stained glass, breathtaking details, majestic environment. Stands along side any cathedral in the world. Regardless of your religion or denomination you should visit.

Absolutely beautiful church. The moment I walked in I got goosebumps on my arms and admittedly I got a little teary-eyed from the beauty and tranquility.

This neo-gothic cathedral is one of Savannah's crown jewels. A glorious building, this cathedral is beautiful around the year, with fantastic Christmas decorations during holiday season. Even if you aren't religious or Catholic, you must take a tour inside to see the hand painted frescos on the walls and ceiling (a rare sight in America).

If you interested, and around during the Christmas season, they have a midnight mass on Christmas Eve that is utterly awesome.

It's a beautiful Cathedral. It's a must see: The stained glass windows, the rose window, the hand carved Stations of the Cross, architecture, Altar and Murals. Everything is well done. I felt a sense of Peace.

Beautiful! Church with a lot of history. Well worth the visit! We were in Savannah for a 60th BiRthDaY party and was doing some sight seeing. This cathedral is easy to walk to and is part of an historic square that is very pretty. They still give regular services so if you re wanting to visit and take pictures make sure it s not during those times as they will not allow you to.

I've been to Notre Dame, St. Paul. and Westminister Abbey. All were mesmerizing due to their architecture and history. I didnt think such a place existed in the States until I stepped foot at St. John. There is something mysterious when you enter. You dont have to be Catholic to appreciate this place. It's beautiful and capitalizing.

What a jaw-dropping display of architecture. I had no idea something like this existed in Savannah. It reminded me of Notre Dame. No expense was spared in the building of this. You think it looks impressive on the outside but it's free to go inside and it will blow your mind at the amount of detail that was put into this cathedral.

This is a beautiful building - additionally, I happened to be touring when there was a teacher explaining some interesting facts and stories about the church, it's history, and it's renovations. I found it particularly interesting that the saints that line the center walk way are supposed to represent the communion of saints, all past believers, walk with current church attenders as they walk up to the alter to take communion. This can be a quick stop or a longer place to explore if you wish.

This has been my parish since 2007. It is a beautiful spiritual place. The Irish Catholic Community is well represented here and you will find a warm welcoming place that is also historic. If you have never attended Mass in the extraordinary form it is well worth checking out. The Scola is breathtaking and you will never forget this experience.

The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist is some place you have to see in person if you're in Savannah. It is one of the most beautiful places in Savannah. You will be in awe of the architecture and amazed once you step inside. It's hard to describe the feeling of warmth and calm that comes over you the minute you enter. The cathedral is free to visit but a $3 or more donation is suggested.

One of the most beautiful architectural sites to take in Savannah Georgia. The cathedral was built in 1873. From the stained glass to the pipe organs it is definitely worth taking a quick walk-through just appreciate the detail that went into the creation of this beautiful Monument. A small donation is appreciated.
