Cat and Cow Veterinary Clinic Review

Been going here for years and every year they seem to improve! My family and my pets love it here!

Our family absolutely loves the personal care you provide for our hairy family members. The patience and care you give to our fur babies is unmatched. Although we are currently going through the COVID 19 pandemic, Cat & Cow didn t skip a beat by meeting us outside, individually taking our pets inside for check-ups, vaccinations, etc. and providing them with incredible care. We love Cat & Cow Veterinary Clinic!

A caring staff and excellent service - I could not ask for better. They go out of their way to help and advise and they, literally, saved my cat earlier this year. Very, Very Happy with Cat and Cow!

This is the best vet clinic around town. Excelent service and organized staff, spend less than 30 min with my little dog for vaccines, they make appt so you dont need to wait to long. They have pet hotel and the facility is big and nice.

This was my first time utilizing Cat & Cow Veterinary. I was pleasantly pleased with their timely, thorough and courteous service. Did I mention their prices for vaccinations are the most reasonable I've seen! I will definitely return for future services.

The staff and vets are awesome, they are loving caring people who do this job for the right reason if you are looking for a vet that cares more about your baby/babies than the monetary value of a dollar you have found them can't say enough good things about them, great service, reasonably priced and willing to help you any way they can.

They truly take care of your best friends. We will always take our pet there keep up the excellent work that you do everyday.

Staff is always friendly and very helpful..... the vets are always ready to answer questions and I never feel rushed....I drive all the way from East Memphis to go to Cat & Cow but it s definitely worth my time.

I love this clinic. They are so easy to work with - with their app to make appointments and texting option as well. I always recommend them anytime I can.

The lobby was still closed due to Covid but the staff were so nice and helpful with the curbside care.

Someone recommended this place to me and I haven't been disappointed. They are so nice here. The building is so pretty inside. Very spacious and clean! I have tried a few different vets in the area and I really think this is the one that will stick.

We this place!!! They took excellent care of our dear Charley boy when it was his time to put down to go to Heaven. Then when adopted a new furboy to our household last year Numbers, they have been so welcoming and loving and taking care of him just as well. Definitely God's angels working in there. I know of Mr Barker (previous review) from a personal friend that worked at an Animal hospital in Tate county (which my sister uses) and I heard how he was VERY difficult if not impossible to satisfy. Sadly he is one of the reasons she no longer works there.

Cat and cow is an excellent veterinarian clinic. We have been using this Veterinarian clinic for more than 20 years and all the veterinarians and staff are excellent. I highly recommend this for all your per care needs.

Very friendly and caring staff and veterinarian. We had a yorkie that was attacked by a neighbor's dog, he needed to be euthanized as a result. Compassion, understanding, and pleasant service

We had such a wonderful experience at Cat & Cow Veterinary Clinic. We did the February special for dental cleanings. Both dogs went in for cleaning and would be there for most of the day. Someone was kind enough to call me as soon as they got out of the cleaning to let me know everything went great and they were doing well. I even received pictures once they woke up. I was a nervous wreck to be away from my babies but Cat & Cow went the extra mile to put me at ease. I knew my babies were in great hands and now their breath doesn t stink. Great service! Thank you guys so much!

The people here are nice and we have always been treated well, but if they have a "meeting" going on, they don't have someone to take calls. What are you gonna do in an emergency, and your animal dies because they are having a "meeting"

I used to come here with the previous owners and haven't been back since the new owner took over, until recently. The new addition and staff is amazing. Very clean, professional, and accommodating. I would highly recommend them!

I love this place. Didn't have an appointment and they fit me right in. And took care of my fur baby.

We have been taking our pets to Cat & Cow for almost 20 years. We called two hours before closing (approx.4PM), and our dog was having pretty serious problems. I spoke to Cassidy, the office manager, but they refused to see us because walk-in hours ended at 4:00. I asked to speak to a vet multiple times, but she refused to let me speak to a vet. My wife called Olive Branch Animal Clinic, and even though we had never been there, when my wife told them the situation, they let us bring our dog that afternoon. I recommend Olive Branch Animal Clinic. The situation made me feel like Cat & Cow is happy to take your money when things are fine, but if you have a problem and need their help, they don't care and won't help. I was shocked and surprised that they would treat a customer the way we were treated. I have never used one of these comment boxes before, so I couldn't figure out how to give zero stars, so I rated them one star.

I have been going to this place for about 15 years. I have always been pleased with the service I have received, but here recently I have not been satisfied. You walk in the door and it seems like they could care less if they came help you or not. I believe it's time for me to find a new place to take my babies. They did call to check on my dog a few days later and inquired why my experience was bad. I thought that was thoughtful.

Appointments should take precedence over walk-ins. However when your the 1st, 2nd or 3rd through the door you're forced to see everyone go ahead of you. A seasoned office manager can read the situation and can possibly squeeze the walk-in in before the appointment if they choose. Esp. because the appointment individual wouldn't know either way... right??? Ever play Diner Dash? Anyway... awesome new hard benches, weigh your pet at the door and lets hollar back and forth in the lobby about age, weight and other profile information that should be done in a private room. At least they called after I left. Earned 2 stars instead of 1 because of it. Thanks for reading!

I do happy with this hospital. They do care my pets and doctor even call us to ask for update of our pets too. I am very happy with this animal clinic.

My first experience here couldn t have came at a worse time. I was losing the litter-mate to my service dog. They had been together since day -62. Long story short, Dr. Joe is a God-send!! If you are looking for a new veterinarian, or just need someone you can TRUST and all around BETTER CARE for your animals, give them a try! I promise they will not let you down! This is coming from someone who left a close family member who had been their veterinarian. Dr. Joe Barrett IS the BEST!!

***Edited to add...I see a lot of comments on the wait time. As someone who has worked in and around veterinary medicine for 20+ years, clients only see the front end . Seldom, if ever, do they see all the goings on in the back - hospital end . Comparing the waiting time at a human doctor s appointment v. the waiting time at a veterinary clinic is like comparing apples and oranges. You have to remember, WE can talk! Animals can t! Veterinarians are every doctor and surgeon you can think of AND they speak animal languages!! So please, be patient with them. Let them give you, and every client their BEST CARE POSSIBLE!

My neighbor told me about Cat and Cow when my little sweetie hurt her back. Not only did she walk out after she spent two days with them but also the price was very reasonable. Lets just say i have found my furrever home. No more overpriced memphis vets for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I m not sure why Rudy s nose was rubbed raw unless he was next to Lyla and sticking his nose under the run? But it is rubbed raw and red

Poor customer service!
They gave my two golden
Retrievers shots without tell me or explaining to me what they where.
When I went to check out they didn t nor make a return appointment for us.
The staff did not know if the shots they were getting my dog today were their first round or second round and I felt like my veterinarians office should know that information.
There was a owner there with two vicious dogs that were trying to attack my two retrievers and it was all the lady can do to keep her two dogs away from my two puppies there was that a separate entrance or exit for her or me nor was there a separate place for her and her dogs for me and my dogs to go sit and wait for out appointment. I was told by several people that they were not a good place to go get it one time they were a bit something had changed I went anyway now I think I understand that they were talking about some people are just not meant to be caregivers of any kind

I would love to give 5, but cannot. I recently had to have my pet put down. I was told that he would be given a mixture of injections and he would pass peacefully. After signing the papers, the doctor came back in and told me as he was administering the shot... That there would be Gasps of breath and then he would pass. It took more than 20 seconds, holding my dieing pet before he passed Gasping for breath. It will always be a traumatic experience in my Life/

We have been using Cat & Cow Veterinary Clinic for many years. Can't imagine going anywhere else. They are always attentive and caring to my fur companions. I know that my fur companions are in good, caring hands when they are there.

My puppy cotton was very sick and took him to cat and cow Veterinarian Clinic he was there for a week and they took very good care of him. He was much better when I pick him up. Great service and friendly staff. Good people.

Nice staff, been a long time customer here, and they really helped out my animal one time when I needed it the most.

Dr. Allen is a great vet. You can't go wrong here.

I hate having to post this because the vet techs are always so sweet and helpful (none of my complaints are about them). I usually have an okay experience, but my last trip was just horrible. I had an appointment at 3:45pm, arrived at 3:35pm, was taken to a room at 4:20pm, and was not seen by anyone until 5pm. I looked at my receipt to see what time I left: 5:06pm. The vet (Lee Allen) looked at my dog s rash for 30 seconds, told me he has no clue what it is, then prescribed antibiotics and antihistamines. It all happened so fast that I didn t feel like I was allowed to ask questions about the meds or about prices or for other options. I had 2 other concerns about my dog that I communicated to him and he didn t even look at them. I ending up paying $105 for a 10 PILL A DAY REGIMEN. I have a 97 pound dog so that may be normal, but seems a little crazy for a small rash. I left feeling swindled, taken advantage of, and like I wasn t a priority at all. They also push vaccines on you without informing you of what they are or how often you should get them depending on your dog s lifestyle (what outdoor environments they re exposed to, if they re around other dogs often, etc). I had to look all of that information up and I feel like my vet should inform me of what I m paying for and what they re injecting in to my baby. I started coming here because the prices used to be good, but I d definitely rather spend more money somewhere else where I actually feel well informed on what s going on with my dog. Again, the vet techs are incredible! Always professional and kind and positive. However, I think the vet needs to spend more time with patients, be more informative and PRESENT, and they need to schedule appointments more efficiently so people aren t waiting for hours and so patients don t feel so rushed when someone actually gets around to seeing them.

I love the staff and the vets here. They have taken care of my babies for 10 years. Never once have I had an issue. They have an excellent groomer also.

Great folks there that REALLY care about pets. All the way from check-in, to evalulation, to Dr. visit, to treatment ,to checkout. A class A clinic.!!

Great care at an extremely reasonable price. They have always taken great care of our dogs, cat and horse and were extremely compassionate when our old cat and dog had to be put down.

Took fur baby Royal to office in July. BEST experience ever. Dr. Joe and rest of staff are friendly, kind and efficient. Royal was comfortable with both PEOPLE and ANIMAL staff.
Royal has found a new vet office.

Worst veterinarian service ever. I ve had nothing but problems out of them since the beginning. I gave them several chances and they have disappointed me every time.

Cat and Cow is very clean and the staff are very helpful and polite. I would recommend them to everyone!!!

Friendly and professional staff, they take great care of my puppy Jack and Dr. Allen saved my dog's Ozzie's life after an almost fatal pit bull attack. I wouldn't consider taking them anywere else.

I took my dog to Cat and Cow after suspecting my dog had been misdiagnosed and given unnecessary medications. The last vet I took her to had her on 3 medications she did not even need and was treating her for mange which she did not have. She had a skin infection. I walked out of the last vet I took her to with a $400 bill. Lewis and Dr. Allen were WONDERFUL!! He spent as much time with us as we needed even though they were very busy and he answered all our questions very thoroughly. Dr. Allen took her off 3 medications the other vet had her on because there was no reason for them. The staff is SUPER friendly and I will continue to go to cat and cow from now on!!

The groomer shaved my cat all the way down after I specifically said not to shave him. The groomer continuously avoided speaking to me everytime I called to speak with her and was told my management that maybe I should leave a note with his crate that he isn't to be shaved... Then what was the point of the groomer asking me what I wanted done with him. Very unsatisfied

I just took my Weim back after a year and still the same great service! I would recommend for anyone looking for a caring, thorough, friendly place for your pet.

Good service. Friendly staff. This was my first time going here. Unfortunately, I had to put down my 14 year old bullmastiff. They came out to the car to assist and we're very friendly.

Even though we made an appointment it took almost an hour after the appointment time for them to get to us. However, the prices are great.
Update: They must have had an emergency that day because every time I have taken my pets in since my initial visit has been a walk in and they have been prompt in seeing us. They still have the best prices I have seen and I will bring all my pets here.

We boarded our to little dogs their for one night two weeks ago and now they are fighting to get over kennel cough. Took them to the vet about 5 days ago. I pray they will be ok.
Won't use again.

First visit,had 2 weak pit bull puppies. Every one was exceptionally nice. Treated my fur babies with tender care while giving them their first examination, round of shots and worm medicine. Explained everything to me that was going on with their health and follow up visits. Really appreciate everyone that helped me with Cobalt and Diesel. All 3 of us love Cat and Cow Vet clinic. I will be recommending them to my friends. Wished I could rate them higher than 5 Stars

Everyone there is always helpful and friendly service

& We love Cat & Cow! All of the receptionists hand out treats and make everyone feel like they are home! The lobby is absolutely stunning and doesn t look anything like other vet clinics! The rocking chairs and huge wrap around deck are an amazing addition to the grounds. I also love the swing overlooking the barn and fenced farm while watching the cows, horses, and donkeys graze as they wish. It is so peaceful there!

This clinic is great in every way! The staff here is very helpful, sensitive, caring for not only your pet but to you as well. I love this clinic. They are not like most clinics that treat you like a a emergency room. This clinic treats you like family!!

Love Dr. Young and Dr. Hollis - seen both and they are both very compassionate and explain things so well.

We absolutely LOVE Cat and Cow at Center Hill High School! They have taken such great care of our Farm and Garden animals! I definitely have them on speed dial!
