This is one of my go-to spots. The staff is always friendly. They have a decent selection of beers and the appetizers are pretty good. I love Middle Eastern cuisine and the food hasn't completely won my attention but I go for the hookah and happy hour from 3pm- 7pm. The servers do a good job of making sure the shisha isnt burning harshly. Most definitely a fun social setting!

The lamb was tender, moist, and flavor packed. Kibbi was moist and crispy while being filling. Hummus was creamy and a great bedtime snack. Friendly service with a chill vibe. Afternoon lunch date space for sure.

I love this place for it s relaxed atmosphere. This atmosphere was what brought me here yesterday. A couple of friends and me came here to chat, pass some time and have a few drinks. Unfortunately I didn t get and pics as I was too busy talking, but my favorite here is the meat hummus. It is always outstanding. The reason I am writing this review with out pictures (even though I know I will be back) was the service. Our server Caroline was so fantastic! She was quick with our food, willing to give suggestions, helpful with our hookah and all around amazingly friendly. I will without a doubt be looking for her next time I come here! Edit: came back cause I couldn t stay away, even got a few pics to add!

Great place to go chill and smoke and they have some ok food there. Only complaint is the place is so small on the inside. The person beside you is pretty much sitting in your lap and there is hardly enough room to walk or move. Sit outside if possible where you have a little bit of space between you and the person next to you.

Always a great experience here. Great atmosphere, food, customer service, and the owner is pleasant! Been consistant since I hqve been going there since 09!
Thanks for being great!
Also, for food I suggest the Lamb kabobs with a side of couscous. (Lentil soup is phenomenal for an app)

Enjoyed an amazing dinner awesome chicken kabobs with rice hummus and some beautiful wine. I love the milk base for the hookah and the pineapple coconut flavor that the waiter suggested definitely five stars.

I've been walking up to Casbah for years and love the atmosphere. I typically order the Mezze Trio with hummus (literally the best I have ever had), Tabbouleh and Veggie Grape Leaves. The Musakhan Wraps and Fried Kebbe are super delicious too. They've got a great beer selection and always have something good on tap. I prefer to sit outside on the patio, but inside is nice too- a very unique environment! Lately, I've been ordering my food to-go and it tastes just a delicious. This is a local favorite and I definitely recommend it!

Awesome "Old City Sampler" and I became addicted to their Hummus with my French Fries. It's gotten out of control. I eat it on everything.

oh and the Vegetarian grapeleaves are very good, even for carnivores and herbivores alike.

Worth a drop in, they also have a nice happy hour with beer and hookah specials.

Would have been 5 stars because the food quality is excellent. Somewhat disappointed with the service however, neglected more than three-quarters of the time peppered with eye rolls. I came in at 3 p.m. to join a friend who is a regular there not quite sure what I might have done to alienate our server. We did stay for 3 hours but it wasn't busy and in the middle of the lunch and dinner Crush. Maybe it was the end of their shift and we kept her but all she had to do was let us know. Don't let that deter you from the visit because the food is excellent. Just don't be afraid to ask for another server when your server is more interested in smoking her hookah then actually giving you service.

Came in for lunch and Skye took good care of us. I ordered the Hummus, a Shawarma Wrap and my little brother had the Musakahn Wrap. The food came out in a blink and is as good as always. This place has grown in the past 10 to 15 years but still maintains a very welcoming, home-y atmosphere. If I lived in this city I would definitely frequent this place. Definitely a Jacksonville staple.

the food here is amazing! the lebneh is astounding and the portions are generous. the inside is cozy and the bar is stocked.

i love going here and take all my friends. the hookahs are cool, but not mandatory, the food makes it a destination in itself.

I LOVE the Casbah. They have awesome hookahs and the atmosphere is great. It's relaxing and they've such awesome food. The only thing that I don't like is that they've belly dancers sometimes. I'm a single lady and I like to bring dates here sometimes and when I'm trying to get to know someone it's nice to not have distractions... :/

This place is always great for a wind down after work or a long day. Many items on the menu are delicious and should never be knocked before they are tried. The staff is friendly for the most part. Jazz night on Sundays is always a good relaxing time. Give this place a look see if ever in the area.

The dj was never at the booth, my food never came. And after leaving my jacket there and calling that night to verify it was there, it was gone the next day. Dont trust this place they will take your belongings and call it their own. After pointing out to the owner he would yell and talk over me not trying to get to the bottem of it, poor all around.

Middle eastern food, great service, and hookah. I think I paid like 28 bucks for 2 ppl to smoke one flavor on the hookah for the whole night, if u want to add flavors I believe its like 6 - 10 dollars per flavor, it may ha e changed since I visited last. There is outside seating and the environment is laid back and relaxing. And remember if u liked my post and or found it helpful, click the like button.

Out of the three times I have been here, two of the times were 1 star experiences and only one was 5 star. The five star experience was thanks to a manager and a server named Michael who I don't believe works there anymore. The other times my party and I were treated poorly, to the point where it was uncomfortable, embarrassing, and just unacceptably rude. One of these situations was resolved with the management, but I do not see myself returning because I feel that the company tries too hard to be a restaurant and a hookah bar and forces the patrons wanting hookah to participate in the restaurant, which isn't fair considering those who just want to take part in the restaurant aren't forced to take part in smoking hookah. It really takes all the fun out of the relaxing environment you want when you are smoking hookah. The food is overpriced for the portions and not that spectacular. I wish it was just a hookah bar.

First time to JAX. I just had lunch here with some friends.

Aseel and Maylay served us, they were extremely friendly and helpful! Excellent food. Wow! And the Kunafa dessert simply wonderful!

They have some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had and I'm a stuffed grape leaves enthusiast. I'm not a hookah smoker, so I prefer to sit outside which means I'm limited to what times of year I can eat here. The inside is pretty small, but has an authentic feel, so I don't mind, but hookah is allowed inside, so asthmatics beware. Outside seating at night is very nice though. And they have belly dancers on Friday nights!

The atmosphere at this mediterranean cafe is relaxed and carefree. It's a restaurant where you feel immediately at home even your first time there. This is a spot where I can frequent by myself and not feel the least bit ashamed. If I order a pot of green tea, I can happily sip for hours while studying or working.

The hookah is equally delicious and the attention that the servers pay to the quality of hookah is admirable. Atmosphere and service here goes above and beyond in providing a positive experience.

Some weekend nights they have belly dancers who add to the fun and laid back vibe that the Casbah easily achieves. Five stars every time.

we like to get the casbah combo for 2 in order to try different things. you have many different options and we have never ordered anything we didn't like. everything is cooked wonderfully and the servers are always really nice and helpful.

Unique place, very popular on weekends with clouds of hookah smoke from millennial crowd, but based on the amount of Arabic speakers eating there for lunch it's definitely the place for authentic middle eastern cuisine as well.

Loved their falafel Ryder, very big portion. The fries are SOOO yummy, especially seasoned. The pita is heavenly and I would love to take home a pint of their hummus! Definitely will be back to try the fried jibeh Ryder!

I went to Casbah Cafe 2 weeks ago with a friend. We sat outside. Our table seemed to observe enough social distancing. However, not one server was wearing a
mask. I won't be returning
because I felt uncomfortable.
