I love the coasters! Fury is the best of the bunch but still a strong lineup beyond that. Excellent shows, plenty of family friendly rides, and seasonal events make. This a great place for a fun time. Get a season pass to get the most bang for your buck!

Carowinds obviously has no limit on its season pass sales. Scarowinds was so crowded tonight. We were there for 5 hours and made it through 1 maze and rode 1 ride. Getting to a parking spot and trying to leave was hair raising at best. Carowinds really needs to add a live attendance ticker on the website or the app.

Just went to renew season passes. There is a lot of signage missing. It was hard to determine which way to go to drop someone off. Had to park far away from front gate, back gate closed. Need to offer some type of shuttle service from parking lot. Front entrance is a gradual slope. Not enough shade options for sitting options outside of park. Offer in person guest services regarding pass renewal options where you don't have to physically enter the park.

We get season passes every year. They have been adding more things each year to give more variety to people and a longer year to make the most of the season passes! We always have a great time

A good theme park but since Paramount sold it, there have been significant price hikes. 20 bucks to park, 65 bucks at the gate for a ticket. The new rollercoaster Fury325 is an amazing ride but they make you pay for a locker if you have a bag of any kind. The locker is 2 bucks an hour but on a busy day, you could be standing in line longer than that. Just feels more and more like a cash grab at every turn.

Drove in from northern Ohio. Stopped and saw the W.H.A.T. show in the Harmony Hall. Was the best time ever. Acting/singing was great! If your nearby, definitely stop in and see this show at the Carowinds! They even had the audience participate, reading cue cards and taking on small rolls. Ben, a singer, stopped and had me read cue cards about selling my horse. Can't say enough good things about how much fun I had.

The worst experience of my life. We waited in line for 3 and half hours for them to tell us my son wasn't y'all enough when they didn't have anyone In the front of the line telling us the height requirements. That was the most ridiculous thing I've EVER experienced in my life. I came all the way from Savannah to enjoy my birthday and we spent half the day waiting in that for him to tell us that.

Need better communications on the status of Copperhead Strike. Was our only reason for going this year and was only told that it was down for the morning, nothing after that.

Fury, Intimidator, and Afterburn were great as were the staff on all rides, but the lack of communication on the status of CS (seems like a long term issue, stuck on the second launch) was definitely a damper on an otherwise great day.

I went here for winterfest, so i couldn't ride the Fury or Intimidator. The coasters i did ride were very fun, however. Copperhead Strike is very fun and worth the wait. Afterburn is extremely intense in the dark and it made me slightly sick. It should be better in summer though.

Excellent coasters here. Intimidator and Fury and must rides of you're a coaster fan. The water park was alright. I rec'd springing for the fast lane plus. Though pricey, it makes a big difference on a busy Saturday, and is worth it if you're not a local that can return easily.

It's a nice park but it's so expensive. I do love the complimentary water on each corner but the waiting in line is aggravating and the fast lane passes are so expensive.. I guess they do that so everyone wont get them but it's ridiculous. The food is high and taste mediocre. But the first aid is on point. The best thong they can offer, my mom got dehydrated and they treated her like a queen and she felt better after an hour. All in all it ws a good family trip just really expensive. Had a group of 15 we all had to pay 41 and I was being robbed because I had to pay that for my two children who could only get on kiddie rides. And the water park closes to early. I understand they want to close before the sun sets but the time changed so it should not have closed so early

This is a great theme park one of the best i have been too. If you like riding roller coasters this a great park to visit. Some of the coasters are dated and short but do offer ones for kids and those who seek less thrills. They do have a kids area that looked nice . They do have a seasonal water but no water rides in the regular park. The had an pay to see area called Dinosaurs alive which is cool to see. We visited a coupe place to eat the dinner near fury 325 it was ok typical burgers hotdogs etc. The second was chicky and Pete's their crabby fries are great. The last was Harmony Hall i highly recommend this place it has something for the whole family. I recommend the bbq place and the brisket sandwich it was awesome. The park was busy but they kept the rides going and lines moving. I recommend getting there as soon as the park opens and do the copper head strike first

Tons of fun rides and things to do! We love going year-round to the water park and rides in summer, Scarowinds in fall, and winter-Fest in winter! Family friendly with a whole area dedicated to the little ones. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is I wish it was completely tobacco free. They have designated smoke areas, but they are hard to avoid when walking around and that s not something I like to walk into when I m trying to enjoy the outdoors with my family.

It was okay, went for Scarowinds on the opening Saturday night. Food and drinks wayyy too pricey, and my girlfriend was confronted in a bathroom for no reason. There was fights in the park the night we went and it kinda killed the entire vibe. Definitely a couple times when we didn't feel safe. Overall fun, don't know that I'll be back from scarowinds and I'm not sold on the overall value of the park.

Great place to gave a great time and ride thrilling rides! I've been going for years now. I recommend taking the after 4 p.m. deal because by then most of the crowd and people have gone home!

Rides were fun but now they're not putting cubbies in the loading area for rides and are instead forcing you to either leave your loose items in front of the line entrance out in the open or pay to rent a locker by the hour. Really scummy. Just so they can make a few more bucks after you've paid quite a lot to even get in. Food and drinks were overpriced but you knew that. Rides really are fun tho.

Poor first experience. Empty rows on cars, not just single riders with empty seats next to them. Many rides and water slides closed. Excuse was not enough staff, but this was Friday of memorial day weekend. One of the busiest weekends for amusement parks. Very dirty, many stores and stands closed. This place will be another amusement park graveyard, if things don't change soon.

Great amusement park. The season pass is definitely worth it, if you don't get the season pass they will kill you with the cost of parking alone. Food and drink not cost effective which is to be expected at a place like this. Love that the water park is inside the amusement park rather than a separate entity like some other parks. They have special events for Halloween and Christmas as well as a dinosaur area.

First time Going and my family and i went to the halloween event Scarowinds and it was very nice. Lines were moving quick. Staff never touched anymore. Super awesome place. The rides look awesome but was only there for Scarowinds

Would have thought more rides would have been opened. We tried to get out before the crowd but the parade ended where the gate was and the employees wouldn't let anyone exit. Didn't seem to be thought out well. But the lights were amazing and the atmosphere definitely gets you ready for Christmas!

Well i have to say been too a lot of parks in my time. This one wasn't worth going to again between the employee bum rushing me for cigarettes. The pool being shut down not to mention getting stuck on a ride.I am glad my company paid for the trip because I wouldn't have like wasting my hard earned money.

A great place for the family and all age categories. Depending on the day, you may end up riding rides multiple times without any way time. Case in point, we visited on a Friday and there was no wait time whatsoever. It beats paying over $60 for fast pass. Also, the big rides such as fury and etc are very smooth. Great experience. The smaller rides can be uncomfortable for adults. Jolting the daylights out of the adults. Moreover, we discovered that several food places will give you cold water in small cups for free. As one can image $6 for two bottles of water is pricey. Great place to spend the day!!

Children of course love it! It has become way too insensitive to the people as a whole. 1st it costs a pretty penny for the blue collar workers or low income families to even attend. 2nd They have these fast pass bracelets for like an additional $90. per day to allow people to come and jump right in front of you when you may have already been in the line for 1 or 2 HOURS! 3rd They treat their employees horrible! They have 60-80 year old employees emptying 50 gallon trash barrels, scrubbing dishes and toilets, not allowed to have money or beverages on them while on duty, while all the little managers are 18 year olds barking orders at them! Oh yeah, if you try to offer them a tip they'll refuse because they'll be fired if they take it? I've witnessed all this myself and plenty more. 4 For a locker to keep your belongings in is $25 a day! Yes, they have a lot of thieving going on there like everywhere else. I'd advise you to only bring a fanny pak and your most necessity items. 5 They have these really great big pools that look to be really cool. The problem is that they're more like cesspools. You can't swim in them, you're lucky if you have room to dunk down in them, they're more like wading pools... 6 It's a great place to take small children of at least 3ft or taller, if they're shorter than that most likely they'll not be able to ride many rides if any and will probably be crying....

Best amusement park I've ever been to! Great rides, lots of things to do. Awesome water park! As you would expect, it's pretty expensive, but all amusement parks are! Food is the same, hight, but it's what you would expect! If you plan to go more often than once a year I would consider a pass and save some money and enjoy the park!

Bought 3 tickets at full price for the "any day" pass and our 4 year old was to get in free for the pre-k pass. The day we arrived, we were told the pre-k period had ended a few weeks ago and we would have to pay another $50 for him to get in, or we could wait another 2 weeks for the new pre-k registration period to open back up, and would be able to bring him in for free then. What is the point in having a small period of time where you do not let the pre-k in free? And really, $50 for a 4 year old who can't ride the majority of the rides anyway. We purchased "any day" passes so we could go ANY DAY. If they are going to let 3-5 year olds in free, it should be year round, not just a random few weeks where they do not allow them in free, and that just happens to be one of the days where we decided to use our ANY DAY passes.

The best deal is the season pass--it includes free parking and unlimited visits. There is stuff for kids of all ages, even a playground which means no line. The water park is great for hot days. Use the restrooms near camp snoopy--they are the cleanest and there is also a family bathroom. Eat lunch in an air conditioned place for a cool off break.

I've been going here since I was little, and it was owned by Paramount. The park has changed so much but in all the best ways! Park souvenirs and food are pricey. The park price (especially the season pass) is totally worth it.

Great park! Good rides for all ages, clean, not overcrowded. My only suggestion would be to add directional signage here and there for the different areas of the park, and for the exit. It got confusing in the dark.

Hated it. I remember going when i was young. It was nothing like that this time. Drinks were outrages prices 4 and 5 dollars per drink. If you bought the all day free refill you really couldnt get any refills because the vendor was out. The waterpark closed at while its still daylight and hot!!! No real selection of food throughout the park. Lines were so long for rides. The place was packed with people. I was very disappointed. Not somewhere I would waste another 3-5 hundred dollars on....

Tried placing an order online but the site wouldn't finish loading so we just ended up getting tickets at the counter then 30 minutes later I got an email saying my purchase was confirmed. Called carowinds to see if they could refund the money to my card and they refused.

Copperhead Strike line was moving very slow because they kept testing it every 20 or so minutes, and some rides were shut down due to wind. The lines were really long, but that's expected for a Saturday at Carowinds. Food is ridiculously expensive as well, almost $5 for a cup of shaved ice. ICE. ICE COSTS NOTHING TO MAKE! But other than that it was great

I'm not a amusement park person. Best part of this for me was the family time. I almost let someone talk me into the sling shot. I probably would have died in mid air. It is a separate $25 dollar charge which I think is ridiculous.

Had a really great time with my family. There is a kiddie area where all the rides are mainly design for family fun. If your children are short you can buddy a ride with them. However this place is overly expensive for tickets, food, and gifts.

I took my daughter, son and 3 of my grandchildren (ages 17mos, 3yrs & 7 yrs) today. We ALL had a blast. Have season passes & cannot wait to return). It helps being just 32 minutes away.

What a great time, I took the entire family and a couple of my girlfriends and we just made her entire day of this. We all took off from work and we re glad that we did because this is the type of family friendly fun that we needed.

Great place for a day of family fun!! Make sure to bring an empty water bottle to refill once you arrive in the park...drink prices are over the top. Good thing to do is purchase a dining ticket before, they have a few options that will save you $$. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Sunscreen is a must for a day at any park. Carry a towel if you are not interested in rides so you can sit comfortable on any surface available. Preferably under a nice shade tree. Just plan on spending the day walking and standing. Have a wonderful day at Carowinds...if you pack and plan before you go Everything will be great!!!

This was a real surprise. I was taking a road trip to Florida from D.C. and this was the perfect little stop to make along the way. The family and I had a great time. I wish the promoted it more along the East Coast.

Carowinds is a very good park with a lot of rids for children as well for adults. The locker room price is very expensive $17 on a week day to rent it out. i went on Monday and even though I didn't buy the quick pass didn't have to wait that long to get on the roller coaster. I did notice that no one was checking anyone to see if they brought the quick pass or not. As far parking its $15 online for stander parking or $25 for Vip parking. I brought the stander parking which was only 3 minutes walk to the main gate.

I have loved Carowinds since I was a kid. It never disappoints!! Great rides for all ages and the best water park that I've ever been too! My family goes every year and if you LOVE Halloween like we do you can't miss SCAROWINDS!!!! They really go all out for Halloween.

One of my favorite amusement parks. There are excellent food options for whatever age group or food preferences/sensitivities you might have. And of course, a fantastic variety of roller coasters and flat rides. The Mack multi launch coaster Copperhead Strike is absolutely amazing. Every single ride there I enjoyed greatly and I definitely plan on coming back. Make sure to check out a show while you re there too. They have great entertainment as well.

Awesome amusement park. Nice rides although some of the rollercoasters could use some work (ex: standing up one just felt like we were being shaken around). Waterpark is awesome and clean! Very nice staff. Be prepared to wait for some of the rides!
