What can I say this place is great and when you order two tacos you get your money's worth they are almost burritos. It's an outdoor bar and lounge with great views of the San Diego Bay and the downtown across the street. Clean restrooms right next to it and just a wonderful all-around staff in great prices for San Diego especially in turn outdoor bar right on the water

ok- I originally gave this 3 stars, I am upping it to 4 because our service was prompt and pleasant. My margarita flight was room temp and syrupy, loved the idea did not like the execution. My friends loved their food though and the guac was nice

Very disappointed with this place. I used to live here and I would always go to the original carnitas in North Park. The food was no where near as close as the original and the service was horrible. The fish in the fish tacos were tough and the pork belly app was disgusting. Im very disappointed and upset. This is why I hate when small businesses franchise out.

Service was good, food was disgusting! Wow you call that carnitas? Obviously you've never had real Mexican food. My kid's chicken fingers were nasty as well. The ice made the soda taste like sewer water. Wth is wrong with you people? Have you never had anything better than this crap or are all the other reviews FAKE!?!?

This place is seated about a tennis court length away from the ocean. It is conveniently located next to one of Coronado's ferry's landings. The ferry departs every 30 minutes and only costs $5 one way and is a great way to get out on the water and take the bay in. It's the perfect stop to eat and then go explore. The place is very casual and only has outside seating, the area is usually sunny and slightly breezy. Tables and chairs available as well as benches and bar seating. A bar is located outside as well to quench any thirst you might have. Sometimes they will have live music playing for the customers, usually a small 2 man group. The food here is great in my opinion and I keep coming back. I recommend the hamburgers, and beef sandwich. The fries here are also great. My only complaint is that there are not enough draft choices for beer. Otherwise the mixed drink menu is okay. This place is also great for people watching as everyone walking the ocean path comes thru. I absulutely recommend this place to anyone. The funny thing is I don't come here for pork (I'm not a huge fan) but because their other items on the menu are delicious. Definitely check Carnitas out.

Great spot along the boardwalk but they get you with the prices to enjoy the view. Bar staff was fun and energetic and they did make good drinks, you just have to pay a little extra for them.

Pretty expensive, but very delicious. My buddy and I both ordered the Triple Threat sandwich, and we both really enjoyed it. It was nearly $10 for the sandwich alone, we had to order fries to share. The bacon ketchup that came with the fries was very tasty. I will return

I grew up here at the shop at National City in Catholic Church having muscle with bacon I love this area because it's right over a child with my mom and I got baptized I've been coming to this church since 1999 and still here and Mom and Dad keeping muscle strong in faith and not letting myself down button. Well blessed and I will get myself together from walking away from from God

Beautiful location on the Embarcadero by the Harbor. Otherwise the service was slow as cold molasses; have to get in the scrum to get the bartenders attention, and wait a long long time, and the beers are overpriced. Other than that it was great
I ve got photos but sorry Google did not present me the right ones and I don t have the time to look for them.

AWESOMENESS!!!! I had the Pork Belly Sliders. Perfect size for a small lunch and the price was decent. My wife had the Carnitas Tacos and they were really good. The Garlic Fries were also really good. It's an outdoor location and the scenery was awesome. The owner/manager is a really cool dude. I would definately return to Carnitas Snack Shack.

Holy cow! This place hit the spot. Triple threat and chicken sandwiches were both delicious. Beet terrine and carnitas tacos... lets just say we might go back for dinner. Could only be better if there were servers to bring us more drinks!

Everything on the menu is smoking! Hearty portions. Right on the pier in downtown SD. They have a beer garden as well. Big screens playing in the seating area. Quick and friendly service with a smile !!

The tacos were good. The bar service was terrible/non-existent. Wanted a margarita sat at the bar to try and get one...not acknowledged, bartenders didn't seem to be serving most people. Watched another couple sit frustrated with empty glasses but at least they got drinks at some point. No one said hello, no one asked if we needed help, wanted a drink or anything. Not even a busy service time at like 2 in the afternoon. As a bartender myself this would not fly where I work and can't imagine it is how the snack shack wants people to be treated.
