Carnitas Snack Shack Reviews

Stopped here on our way out of visiting the impressive vessels at the harbor. We order the chips and guac which was a generous portion of torilla chips and super fresh guac mixed with some salsa. Something so simple was so tasty.

I literally stood out there for 10 minutes trying to place an order on 1/8/20 I work right across the street and I cannot get any service, I called out to many employees and they ignored me. Never coming back and making sure none of my friends or family do. Hard times, even worse service. Trust me there s other places around to eat

Very social place. Pretty expensive but the food tastes great. Don't buy the horchata, it's pretty tasteless.

Great food! Service was great! We had the pork sliders with the garlic fries. Worth a try! It was a great stop before our harbor cruise. So if you are on the pier give it a try. It was Soooo good!

Mahi tacos were very good, and had a nice kick to them, but the garlic fries were in a pool of oil and were very soggy, unfortunately...

Had the blt with an ice tea very crowded service was very slow but the sandwich was absolutely delicious

Great spot convenient to Springhill suites and wyndam hotels. Good selection of beers and food. Take a look up when you go and notice the unique ceiling!

Yum!!! The location makes it a great place to eat and unwind.

The outside bartenders are kinda rude. The bald guy that greeted us and the food is the reason I would go back. I miss the North Park location

Compared to the excellent Carnitas Snack Shack in North Park, these guys don't change the script up at all. They offer a few more entrees, including fish tacos (which I've yet to try, cause I can't stop eating their carnitas tacos or steak sand-o's) and a wider variety of beer. One of my favorite spots by the harbor. Great place to stop and eat while you walk along the water.

Unpopular opinion, their carnitas tacos are sort of overrated. The marinated steak burrito is better tbh

WOW! This is the most amazing and delicious Spot for your Hangry moments..Burgers, slidders and pork what more do you need. Bar is outside.

The food was fresh and the place was pretty busy. The seating was ok just really chaotic. The staff isn't very friendly so ordering you feel kinda rushed , but I guess that depends on how busy they might be. It was on ok place to grab a quick bite but I think for that spot the only place.

I was fascinated by the service and very nice place. And ACENTUANDO very delicious amburguesas the best Freshly made potatoes. And good price and not even say the pleasant thing of the view .

The sandwich was okay but the garlic Parmesan fries are to die for.

Great lunch with friends on a hot day. Had so much fun that we had a second round of drinks on the "garden" area. Love it!

It was moderately busy yet the wait for to go was insanely long, they clearly forgot my order and it came out wrong which was disappointing.
The lady working there was nice and offered a free drink for the wait. Lots of better restaurants in the area without the hassle.

This was a fun little spot, we were waiting here in the bar area for our flag ship cruise, we had some chicharron with hot avocado dip, didn't think the dip was spicy but I fixed that with the tapatio at the bar. Live dj the Saturday I went. Drinks were delish, I want to come back

Went there Friday evening around 5:30. What a joke we stood at the order window for over 5 mins. There must of been at anywhere from 10 -15 employees working. During this time at least 4 employees looked at us and never even acknowledged that we were standing there. Not even a "have you been helped or a we'll be right with you". We ended up just walking away. If I could give it Zero stars I would.

We love the snack shack in north park but this place doesn't have the same quality of service or food. Portions are smaller and came out cold. The best part is the location but had to shoo flys away the entire meal. Also beer comes in plastic cups which I'm sure is a condition of being outside but is a little disappointing.

I am so disappointed at the way they have changed the tortilla to filling portions, and even when i asked for extra lime i only got one slice per taco.

I went there for the first time and I definitely will be going back!

Great little bar by the boardwalk, you sit outside people /boat watching while enjoying a tasty drink or food. The have a really good margarita with a black salt rim that I really enjoyed.

I love this place, the environment surrounding, right on the pier with a cast of skyscrapers surrounding you. I come here every year for San Diego Comic-Con amd that is how I stumbled upon this restaurant staying at the Wyndam Bayside looking for close places to eat since I park at the airport during my stay. I found this place and fell in love with the Carnitas Tacos! And that is my recommendation the Carnitas fries were delishes as well. The restaurant is right on harbor drive so parking is limited, but as expected in downtown SD. The Embarcadero location is the only one I have visited, I come from Phx, Az.

Nice location. Tater tots were a bit too salty for me.

We got some frozen yogurt to walk around the pier with. friendly staff but it was a bit crowded. Tourists hotspot with the maritime museum, midway museum, and tours all around it.

Carnitas we're a bit salty buy overall they were good. Nothing too fancy which is nice when trying to just enjoy a taco.

Really good! I had the carnitas tacos and the guacamole and chips. The location is right next to the pier and after you're done you can sight see

Expensive and a bit odd, but really good if you're willing to try new things!

Had the chilaquiles burrito. It was awesome! The menu is fun, plenty of outside seating, and the bar is clean with friendly staff.

Everything tourist is close the Midway is located close to it

Crispy chicken sandwich ! !

Double-layer chicken burgers, since they are called Crispy, of course, the meat has to be bitten and crispy and juicy. This hamburger really did! !
Moreover, the hamburger suede has been creamed and baked. The bread is eaten with a touch of fragrant and creamy scent. It is not affected by the filling and is very solid and delicious!

The chicken chop is very crispy. It is still delicious after it has not been fried. It is still delicious. I just think it is a pity that the sauce is less added, otherwise it is more perfect! However, the sauce that comes with it is added to the burger or French fries, which is also very delicious and delicious!

Finally, I have to have my favorite Heinz match, then don't underestimate this burger, it will be full!

Carnitas Tacos the best! Is 3 tacos for $9 maybe some people say its expensive but it is worth when you have salsa band playing there and you can shake your body to bring those tacos down@ not idea if the band is playing all around but always check the events if not after you walk all around the Embarcadero grab a sit and get beer and taco to enjoy your day! Unfortunately I forget to take pics... but believe me is a great spot with a bar and open patio just across to the 2 hour tour ship

If you're drunk and want greasy Mexican food, this is the place

Meh. First and last time going. It's extremely bland and overpriced. My $11 chicken sandwich didn't even come with fries. It was surprisingly small and the bread was dry. I guess the appeal is being right on the embarcadero and it's outdoor, shaded seating but I come for the food so this place will be a firm no for me dog

We heard that this place was amazing. We didn't get to eat here because it is an outside venue. The night we chose to go it was chilly outside and my kids weren't going to stay and eat quietly.

Very interesting chicharrones with salsa. Delicious. Nice fries for supper after a walk along the pier. Loved it. Food order was served quickly. Lovely views with lovely food.

Amazing views, excellent bacon and other fine pork products and the staff is really nice too!
