Great place, and good for groups too! Shout-out to the waiter Nelson for his excellent service. Also: eat the pasta carbonara, it's world-class.

Not the place for a lone diner. Felt overlooked and forgotten for quite a while until one particular waitress realised I was there. Good service after that.
The food was really good but i went there because their vegan menu, cucina verde, and they don't have this menu in covent garden, they just have some vegan dishes, which is fantastic but i was expecting a whole vegan menu....
The staff was very rude and we waited for 10 minutes without service and were forced to leave because we were hungry but thankfully there was a great steak restaurant right next to it and the service there is better than this restaurant
Granted it was a Sunday but still the service was the worst I ve ever seen
I cannot believe how disappointed I was in this restaurant last night the food was absolutely rubbish the service was rubbish overpriced and run out of everything the food was not Italian apart from the word pasta they don't even sell pizzas for my little daughter the the food was cold and bland the chef needs to go to Italy and learn how to cook
Amazing food, the service was impeccable and really good value for money, definitely recommend.
Food was nice and gnocchi was delicious. Front of restaurant service was fantastic. Only complaints were wife's steak came out medium rare after we requested medium well and the gnocchi they totally forgot until after all main dishes had already been served.
Ok restaurant, you know what you get and has a nice ambiance. Conveniently located between Covent Garden and Leicester Square. Can be quite busy at times so best to book in advance
The staff were brilliant and brought our party of 14 forward an hour as We were so early. They presented a birthday girl with a cake and candle and nothing was too much trouble for our lovely waitress. The food was good and all brought up together .
Party of 12 of us, staff were really accommodating. We had a long wait for desserts so they took them off the bill which was nice. Unfortunately they had run out of a lot of the dishes and my chicken salad was very lacking on the salad part, not sure if this was due to them running out or that's just how it comes. Overall, a safe bet if you don't know where to go in the area. They do a good fixed price menu as well.
Good food but service could have been a little better.
Service was slow and 4 people had to send back there Pasta dishes as they were not as was ordered
Staff were not welcoming at all. And limited options . They ignored us we call them many times to make order no body cared for too long so we had to leave
This is my favourite Carluccios. Only problem they never seem to have enough staff. However the staff are wonderful here.
The one in Covent garden was not a good experience, bad service ,long wait on food and two dishes out of 4 where of poor quailty ,enough that one was sent back! Which is a shame because I generally like the food and atmosphere at these restaurants.
Small portions. Expensive prices. Ok wait staff. Slow service
Totally amazing. Restaurant was lovely, modern and clean with a brilliant atmosphere, our server Ondrej was a delight, funny and knew the menu really well. Took my girlfriend there for her birthday and they delighted us with a candle for her in her desert and a little happy birthday as well. Honestly couldn't ask for more. Thrilled.
Although the service was very nice, it was a poor overall experience. We sent out the food twice, and we observed several who did the same. No one followed up with drinks or any other order. Very "fussy" atmosphere.
Staff was ok friendly enough but didn t ask us if food was ok had they asked I would off told them how poor it was pasta had been over cooked like rubber not enough meat in dish bread and cheese which is simple was poor
Priced reasonably for central London but
Would never go back nor to the chain of them if they re all like that
6 of us are here. Of the 6 dishes 5 were over cooked.
Despite booking in advance for 6, table was set for 5, with variable resolution big this issue.
Service was slow and as per above hit or miss.
Not the best Carloluccio's
Head over to Carluccio's for authentic Italian food at sensible prices. Excellent food & excellent service! Quality of food is guaranteed to please. It is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Do check out also the selection of Italian wines, oils & vinegars, pasta & sauce sold in-store.
The food is ok but they are chronically understaffed. On my last visit we waited 15 minutes before a waiter even took our drink order. Waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive. This is a recurring experience and we won t return again.
Good food, with decent lunch takeaway menu as well. Can take a while to be served sometimes.
Nice decor, brilliant service which was both helpful and unobtrusive, great menu with lots of new vegetarian /vegan options. Also like the fact that other dishes were marked vo to say they could be convert to vegan or vegetarian. Only problem was the food wasn't that good and some was served on cold dishes. We had a nice party there because it was a good place for atmosphere.
Always have a good meal in Carluccios. This one in covent garden is one of best. Up stairs has the best aircon for when it's hot
Great food. Service hit and miss but still 5 star for grub
Let's start positive, the coffee and pastry were great. The service was the worst I have experienced. We had to wait 20 mins before they took our order. Then it took 10 minutes to bring the coffee, without pastries. They brought one of the 2 pastries 5 mjns later and had to ask several times for the other pastry. Then we wanted to pay cash and the waitress just threw the chance at us while walking away. Extremly rude and will never go to this garlucio's again. We were not the only people complaining. Some people even walked out because it took to long. They were not even understaffed, but just not organised. Oh and the smell of burned toast is never a good sign.
A decidedly international location. Very busy. Friendly and helpful staff. You can eat until late. But Italian cuisine "forget it". Unlikely pairings, burrata with carasau bread ... Even overcooked pasta ... See photos. For me advised against ...
Great place to eat or just go for a coffee, the host staff are lovely, always making an effort to give you a good seat! I love the coffees!
Great food and wine, exceptionally friendly service
Excellent service, nice food. Only problem was that they didn't tell us the kitchen was closing as we still wanted to order.
Love the place. Well cooked Italian cuisine with great personnel.
Very good food and the price is very good for the area it is.
we decided to take everything in the small menu. they were all good. but we have not found an empty place in our stomach for the deserts. pretty place for acceptable prices.
Better than Pizza express and better price too...much better service
Smashing food, service brilliant although 12.5service charge but look after clients. Reccomend.
I thank you Carluccio's for you welcome me in such warm and cozy place with extraordinary delicious italian foods and ospitality of the staff . So thankfulll . Big up , big like !
Don't go to Carluccios. It's the worst chain in London. For an Italian place, the food was very poor. The staff were just really rude and surly. They just seemed like they don't want to help you. THe food was just as bad. I had the pasta and it was something that I could've made at home. The pasta was over cooked and gluggy, and the sauce was plain and watery. Fail.
The best restaurant, Italian food on point, I reccomend the Mushroom risotto. Amazing decoration, Polite waiters, nice prices.
Really good choice! Everything was delicious, especially my 'polenta with mushrooms' dish. Nice for kids too. Service was good too, the only thing was that if you are at the first floor you have to go downstairs for the loo and it is little bit inconvenient.
Absolutely horrific. Tiny portions, stinking plates, glasses and cutlery. Wouldn't recommend
Excellent place to have lunch/dinner. Good priced and great quality
Superb food and service, as always. A little pricey, perhaps, but always reliable. Authentic Italian cuisine in the heart of London.
Food was okay but the service lacked. After being seated we waited 15 minutes to be served, and ordered our drinks, starters and mains. Our drinks came out two short which we had to chase and in-between our starters, mains, and waiting to ask for the bill was an age. Felt like they really didn't want to serve us at our table but where happy to serve those around us. Very disappointed.
Beautiful place. Cheap but food taste different than in Portsmouth. I think because of suppliers. But It doesn't taste good. Feels like frozen or cooked too long. But still it was nice visit.
The freshest food and amazing flavors are on the vegan menu Vegan tortelloni, Tagliatelle ragu, Gnocchi and pumpkin
Food good service failed completely. Tow of us to eat ordered the same dish, one came incomplete was returned to be finished off, but did not come back. 25 minutes passed asked waiter he don't know what the hold up was! First rule get the order right second communicate with your guests. Failed on both points. The Manager on the night was not any better didn't even ask my name when I made complaint. Won't be going there again.
Great food, kind and helpful staff, perfect for a post-matinee meal with kids
Fab food, service not great as staff seemed a bit like they couldn't be bothered to be friendly, apart from the greeter at the door.
I enjoyed a nice meal there. Would recommend it to friends
Having enjoyed many lovely meals at Carluccios Waterloo this was dismal.
The hostess's were unwelcoming and unaccommodating.
My meal was cold. I wish I could remember what it was - something to do with stuffed bread - it sounded lovely but was tasteless.
I was offered to choose an alternative but my friend would have finished before it would have arrived.
I did not eat the meal and am furious that I paid for it!
Waitress seemed uninterested in her job. Very grumpy. Food came out cold and had to be sent back.
Omg.. So Delicious!!!!! Best dish ever I've had with the crab pasta. Divine wine dry rose, Sicilian one, and really not expensive, yet I finished the bottle! I haven't had such a nice time in a restaurant for a long time. The waitress was a sweetheart. Thank you for this amazing time and meal.
Went for lunch today. Had a two course set menu. Courses were generously sized and delicious. The service was impeccable.
Yummy food, great atmosphere and friendly staff, I have a fab time each and every time I visit!
The service was very slow even though the venue wasn't very busy. When the food arrived it was very cold. The menu did not have enough choices to pick from. Was really disappointed as I had breakfast at the Dubai Carluccios and it was amazing. However, I wouldn't really recommend it in London. The food portions were also very small and expensive.
I've been to many Carluccio's in London, they have all been pleasant and enjoyable - from having a relaxing coffee and cake from the counter to a nice glass of wine and tasty Italian meal.
Pop in and try for yourselves!
