Visually very nice! The pizza is recommended. I ordered spaghetti carbonara and they were obviously not fresh and lukewarm.
Have complained and then get warmer. Price performance is ok for the environment.

"Italian" local classic where everything is "pre-packed". Obscene carbonara floating in two fingers of oil. The only positive note is that they have a gluten-free menu, but it is nothing exceptional.

Possibly the worst service in London. Disorganized staff who are too busy walking around to actually notice customers who are willing to pay. The hostess was hopeless and clearly was unsure what was going on. Whilst we sat outside and asked our gentleman waiter on 2 occasions for our drink order he went looking for our drinks and reruns after 15 mins saying he can t find it(lol) Pathetic! If I owned this place my staff would be retrained on customer service or fired! Date visited 30 May 2019.

We were disapointed with our food, we visited Carluccio's before we went to watch a show, the food was tasteless, the service wasn't great as it took 15 minutes before we were even offered a drink, there was not enough staff for how busy it was in the restaurant. We both couldn't finish our mains, safe to say we wouldn't come back, and wouldn't recommend.

Always an enjoyable visit. Love the focaccia and anti-pasti. Practically always bring a giant meringue home to enjoy later. Our server, Anca, was very helpful with suggestions when we couldn't decide.

I am so sorry for the waiter because he did a very good service!! But the food was horrible! We ask for foccaccia that we never got! We waited for an hour for a risotto and when was arrived it was overcooked and yoh could see that they just boil the rice and add it to mushrooms later, which is not actually risotto. We sent it back and we got another one but it was still very bad and I.couldn't eat it (on the menu there was written that it was with porcini but it wasn't!!) After all this horrible experience I went home and I got sick with my stomach and diarrhea!! NOT RECOMMENDED.
UPGRATE: I sent them an email as they requested, they looked interested to apologize BUT after they ask for my phone number to call me, they didn't reply anymore. So after being sick, I got bullsh**** as well. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I'M DISGUSTED

Except for the kind staff this place is a nightmare : incredibly noisy - don't come here to talk to your party - very long, after ordering we waited 20 min to learn the dish we ordered was not available.
In all fairness : food is good

We had a wonderful Christmas meal here. The food was excellent and the service on the night was fantastic. All of this and the prices were so reasonable for central London. Loved the decorations . They were not over the top but set the atmosphere really well. Thank you for making booking so easy and helping us have a great Christmas party.

The food is acceptable but somewhat expensive; It could have been just bad luck but we received the dishes from another table and when they changed they all came apart, so everyone ate alone. The house made a discount for the inconveniences but I don't think I'll come back.

Generally I love visiting Carluccio's and am a regular customer to the Cambridge branch. However on this occasion this particular restaurant failed to meet my expectations several times. On approaching the restaurant and asking for a table for two we were told there would be a wait of 15min- 20min. With much to catch up on my friend and I decided this would be fine and were told we could wait in the adjacent deli. We waited there for about half an hour with no update, and so I went back to ask how much longer we would have to wait. In that time the front of house staff had changed and the server had no idea we had been waiting. Initially he told us we would have to wait another 10 minutes, but on complaining that we had already been waiting over half an hour he found us somewhere to sit. The food was delicious as always, but there were long wait times and it was difficult to get the attention of the staff.

We had two and a quarter hours between the first and second part of Harry Potter and decided to eat here. This was not enough time so after asking on numerous occasions for our food it turned up after about an hour and a half..... And was cold..... In fairness to the manager they gave us the whole meal gratis so that was a good touch but I still couldn't recommend this place

This place has a lovely interior and nice authentic Italian food. The deli attached also has some good looking cakes. It's only downfall is they gave out of date menus to some people on my table. It has options which aren't available on the newer menus however they will still serve them. It's slightly unfair that not everyone gets the same choice of food. Other than that, I enjoyed myself.

I mourn the passing of a formerly great branch of Carluccio's. This restaurant has 100% given itself over to the tourist trade - it might as well be an Angus Steak House.

15, 10, even 5 years ago this was a reliable place to get lunch or dinner if you found yourself in Covent Garden. Spacious, relaxed atmosphere, reliable service and food that you'd expect of the Carluccio's chain. It was one of the rare places that you'd see locals as well as tourists in Covent Garden.

Sadly no more. They've squeezed in what feels like twice as many covers on the ground floor. Gone are the comfy circular booths, now it's a sea of Starbucks style high tables and stools.

Service further eroded any sense of relaxed dining. Starters and Mains were served at the same time - our teeny-tiny table went from empty to overflowing. We were looking for a leisurely dinner before a show, but suddenly it felt like we were being rushed through our meal.

They lost out on both bar tab and deserts; the rush made us realise that we should finish up our food as quickly as they wanted and go spend our time and money in a nice wine bar in Soho instead.

Sadly, I had the same experience last time I was here, not long ago. Then I put it down to a "bad night". Clearly it's just the new reality.

Anywhere else, I'd expect to see this place go out of business. But I suspect it will survive purely off the tourist trade. Don't expect to see any locals there though.

Had a fabulous lunch with friends. We went for the set menu and is was great value, particularly as we were in London and a stones throw from Covent garden. The portions were generous and there were 3 choices of starter and dessert and I think 5 maybe six choices of main. We arrived at noon and stayed till 4.30ish. The staff were great, efficient and friendly. I will definitely return there in the future.

Really rude behaviour from the staff - do not come here if you do have any food allergies. A friend with allergies was left waiting with food not knowing what it was made from, and was treated by staff rudely. The issue was never resolved and she had to take the food in a takeaway box.

I have eaten very well in this Italian restaurant, very many local dishes, obviously someone less because it must satisfy even the British. Impeccable service, a large gluten-free menu is available, just ask for it.

The food is quite tasty but some products overpriced expensive. Do not make the mistake to agree with what is being proposed to you, ask first about costs, otherwise you will find that for 10 olives and 2 wands you had to pay 18 pounds. Otherwise prices quite ok, I took carbonara and bolognese pasta, between 9 and 12 pounds per serving. The staff is pleasant enough, you can pay cash or card.
