Warm, Welcoming facility. Programs are Very Good! Member involvement is impressive! The BEST!

The staff is nice and helpful. The management is very hands-on. The equipment is clean and functioning.

Wow, I must say; The YMCA have so many things to do here, you can end up staying for the day. The Sauna! to relax you, the indoor pool to get you started. The tennis court, where friends met to play. The basketball court where I like to shoot some hooks! The surround sound music to get you in the mood. I love it here!

We love the Y on Moores Mill! It's super affordable for a family. They have great facilities for working out. They also have free child care while you're there, which our kids love going to; so it's nice to feel comfortable dropping kids off while parent's get a workout in.

Kelly Hayes is very helpful and helped resolve the problems I had. This is a great facility.

Left a set of keys right before closing time and cleaning crew never turned them in. Staff wasn't willing to help locate them. Figured buckhead would be the more responsible location. Who knew?

Tried to get information for Summer Camp, was told by staff member Rob (was quite bothered by my questions) he was basically too busy to give me the information, and he had to attend to people walking in. If you can not spare a couple of minutes to give someone information I would most definitely not feel comfortable leaving my child in their care. I have a membership at this YMCA and I am seriously thinking about canceling. From the issues of leaving messages now for weeks re: swim lessons to this current incident with the summer camp inquiry.

This is the best family friendly location ! Always enjoy safe, energetic and friendly atmosphere, great instructors, good equipment and nice personal!

Jenny who is very new hire at the Buckhead Y is very rude, racist and doesn t have the friendly spirit that all other employee have.. I m gone to give her one more time to be direspectful and I bet she will be wish she shut her mouth..

I wish I could cosign all these great reviews, however my experience has been horrible. I signed up for swim class and thus far out of 5 classes 3 were cancelled. I come all the way from North Ga and one of the times there was no email, the other time we were told that same morning. I do not recommend this Y to anyone if you really are trying to learn how to swim. I have been trying to get in contact with the woman in charge of the swim class and she does not answer.

Very neat and clean gym. It's more like a fitness club with indoor and outdoor swimming pools and tennis courts. Love the variety of classes and programs for the whole family.

The equipment is out of date and shaky. You have to sign up with 30 minutes maximum to use equipment (which means no cool down time) Also there is no variety and it's too crowded with equipment. On top of that the sauna closes before the gym. The only good thing about this gym is the towel service. I would recommend East Lake YMCA. It's wayyyyy better

Great friendly staff. Clean beautiful facility. Awesome outdoor activities, outdoor pool with awesome slide, tennis, playground. Nice basketball court. Towels are provided. Clean locker rooms and shower area. I would be here everyday for the summer if it wasn't so far from my home. Will go as often as I can. My kids love it here better than the Y in our area.

I liked this place, but they sure do need to expand (and I see that they plan too). The people at the front desk were very nice the both days that I came by here, and you get the feeling that this is truly a YMCA that caters to all members of the community. The weight room, however, is extremely crowded and needs to be at least twice as big! I did notice the several tennis courts they have, which is great since the weather allows people to be outside for a large portion of the year. And the outdoor pool with slide looked very fun. For those who don't want the outdoor pool, they do have an indoor option. I was surprised that they only have a two-court basketball court. I imagine it gets very crowded, especially if they have any league or kids' games going on, but perhaps there are other indoor courts in the area. If at least the weight room expands, this will be a five-star facility.

Buckhead YMCA is fantastic. Spacious, clean, has a ton of equipment as well as indoor/outdoor pools, tennis courts, basketball courts and more. Fantastic classes & activities for kids, too. Highly recommend the Y!

Great value for a family. Classes are just okay though.

Lifeguards are awful...the head life guard administers a swim test. She should have said it was a style test, cause the swimming was fine and the style clearly suspect (it s a 6 year old).

Also life guards allowed people in the pool 30 minutes after the start time and cleared the pool 20 minutes before the end time. 2 hours of swimming turns into 70 minutes.

Decent facility, poorly run at least in some fronts.

Great service and great programs for the whole family! An especially good program is the adapted swim class; my son, who has autism, loves it!

It's a good gym, a good range of classes yoga, spin, pilates are usually above average to great. Lloyd's spinning classes are terrific motivating and fun. Catherine's Hatha Yoga classes are well done and unique.

A great perk- members can use the Y in other cities when they travel.

They are expanding the facility, so right now the site is a bit upside down with major construction underway for a period of many months. There is light at the end of the tunnel though.. fingers are crossed for a swift and successful conclusion to all the work.

If I could change something I would:

- Gym/Workout Area is packed tight. No easy fix for a limited floor plan. Gym culture is very typical of Atlanta.. noone ever spots each other on the weights, not very social, mostly quiet upper middle class married folks doing their thing, and then leaving.. not much of a "vibe" to be had here.
- Front Desk - We should be able to scan in, or type in a kiosk to enter. Comment cards are not anonymous. They should be.
- make the monthly schedule available well before the month. It comes out right before the end of the month. Make it a iCal/gCal compatible format, and PDF on the website.
- Towels are great. Thank you for those!
- The men's shower is fungal jungle. It's never really cleaned properly. The grey and black funk is always on there. I have made multiple comment reports, very specific ones, and there is no follow up over a period of months.
- fix the shower controls in mens.
- Sauna controls are illegible/nearly broken.
- Steam Room is way too hot.. when the steam blows you could literally suffer hearing loss.
- Whirlpool occasionally has WAY too much chlorine. Thankfully this doesn't happen very much.
- The parking lot really is #angermanagement central.

Desk Staff is generally good to very good. There is a little bit of lax response to lost and found issues, but they try to do a good job.

Some instructors are duds, but some are total Rockstars. a Mixed bag. None are just plain bad though.

Overall it's a great value for the money, with room for some improvements. Let's hope the expansion yields them.

From the moment we walked in the door the customer service was top notch. The young lady at the desk, name began with a R was so helpful. Not to mention the swim lesson staff. That group of young people worked so well together. Keep up the great work! I will recommend this Carl E. Sanders YMCA to everyone.

The weight room has decent bars, bumper plates, and racks.

This by far the best value sports club for those who take their health seriously. As a swimmer and tennis player, you re not going to find a more proper or convenient tennis facility or swimming pool with such a caring staff and friendly community.

Ian, the head tennis pro, goes out of his way to meet every tennis players needs. He has recently refinished the clay courts to a great condition and always string my rackets quickly and with exceptional quality.

I enjoy the space where the machines are located and the track is an added bonus. I have attended 2 classes and they were good, and the instructors provided a variety in the workouts. The staff was really friendly as well.

The Buckhead Y is a friendly community that is particularly supportive to older women. Fitness professionals like Sally know how to design a resistance program that will make you strong and less prone to injury.

Great place with wide variety of classes, good instructors and good facilities. Parking is challenging sometimes though.

This is the best YMCA close to us. We come from Austell. The service is great and I love the machine. There is something to do for the whole family especially in the summer.

I've been going to this YMCA for 20 years. Always clean, friendly staff, and excellent, high-energy instructors.

Love Hatha Yoga at 6:45 pm and Water Aerobics on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7:15 pm. Sharell, who teaches WA on Monday is so much FUN!

I love it!! I take the drive because they offer a large variety of classes and the instructors are actually approach friendly. They will actually approach you making you feel welcomed and wanted. Always clean and such a positive atmosphere.

The YMCA is doing a great job keeping things clean and safe while still providing good fitness programming during this Covid period. I recommend it!

We being our toddler for swimming lessons on weekends and the people are very friendly. Facility is very nice as well.

The instructors are excellent, and I love the diversity of classes offered, from Yoga to Zumba.

There are too many wild kids running around this place and their staff lets them do it too! No disapline or rules set for them! They are bumping into people and distracting other from their workouts! I would NEVER send my kids to such a place where there's no structure! IDK WHIS WORSE THE KIDS AT SUMMER CAMP HERE OR THE STAFF WATCHING THEM?!!! BOTH ARE SUPER RUDE AND IN THE WAY!!!!

Wow! This facility has EVERYTHING! Basketball courts, swim, tennis, healthy snack vending machine, playground, exercise classes, running track, convenient location, affordable pricing, and most importantly- friendly staff. Rare find!

This YMCA is super organized, professional, and fun to visit! The GroupX classes are awesome - great instructors and I always get a strong workout!

I waited 4 months before giving my review - and I must admit .....EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! AMAZING FACILITIES!!! Kelly Hayes, the Senior Director of Membership and Wellness, walks on water and parts the sea! She is phenomenal!!! If you experience any issues with your membership....she is patient, responsive and stays in contact with you until it s resolved. The staff at the entrance ALWAYS greets me and my family with welcoming, authentic smiles and hellos . The locker rooms and bathrooms are clean even on the busiest days. I love the feeling of family & community here. It is well worth the $$$

I called up the YMCA on Friday February 8, 2019 looking for my son because his phone was dead and one of the staff members told me it's not my job to look after your kid. I was a concerned parent checking on my kid and this wasn't the response i was expecting. I hope someone in management looks into this.Whoever this was i was talking to have no compassion towards kids and no respect for parents. There's no way anyone with this kind of attitude should have any dealings with teenagers. I will escalate this to higher headquarters

The pool is wonderful, the swimmers are wonderful.

The aquatic director / leadership changes pool schedules regularly so you never know if you will be able to swim at the time you hope to swim.

All activities are available, deliverable as described by informed, courteous staff and exceed expectations.

The pool is the most kid friendly pool out of all the YMCA's we've been able to get to. The multiple family style bathrooms (FSB) make it easy to get the kids cleaned up after swimming. And there's so many FSB's that we never have to wait. The service from the staff is top notch as well.

My wife and I visit this Y frequently and find that that the staff and members are highly supportive and encouraging so that we can maintain our flexibility and strength for our law practice work and recreational long distance running. This Y is very family oriented and provides many extra activities for children and adults of all ages. We recommend this organization and hope others will come and join us.

Carl E. Sanders Family YMCA has been a place for great recreation for my family. The staff is so professional and helpful.
Their summer camp program was exciting for my 8 yr. old. They offer swim, tennis, basketball lessons and much more.
I will be signing up for a wellness coach for the gym and trying the indoor track. I love the sauna and whirlpool.

I feel safe and welcome at the Carl Sanders YMCA. My group exercise instructors are the best. They have a real interest in my and my classmates' fitness and overall well-being. The tennis program is also wonderful. The staff at the Y has been a bright spot in this dark year of 2020.

Love the basketball courts, my mom plays tennis and enjoys the swimming. Only 10 mins from home. Great Y!

I love our Y! They make it easier to stay fit with 4 young children. I love the classes they provide for kids and families as well. And I have had great experiences with the play center staff and wellness coaches. I definitely recommend it for anyone!

I have been to this YMCA location for over 3 years now, and I can not recommend it enough. I love how easy it is to park, little to no wait time for weights and machines, AWESOME childcare available, and just the friendliest staff and fellow health enthusiasts. Truly a gem amongst gyms in ATL

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I have two children and take them almost every day. Childcare is top notch and all the ladies are so lovely. It s basically my favorite place in the world and I don t know what I would do without it. I highly recommend. Especially if you have small children.

I love how there are so many lifeguards on duty at the outside pool...meanwhile, NOBODY enforces showering before entering the pool, proper attire required, and Dorito wrappers lying around the pool...? I picked them up myself and threw them in the(regular) trash bin - no RECYCLE bin...

I love the power yoga classes taught by Cheryl G. She works all the muscles, challenges your strength and flexibility while keeping your heart rate up. I have knee and hip problems which sometimes pains me (age: late 50s). The exercises are like physical therapy; therefore, I don't need any pain medication. Good to see great instructors. Thank you Y!

PLEASE BE WARN THEY ARE NOT DISINFECTING GYM MACHINES CORRECTLY!!!!! This facility has stop doing the proper way of cleaning to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Stay away! Disinfecting spray use for machines SMELLS LIKE WATER!!!! SEEN ROACHES IN RESTROOM!!!! This place doesn t keep the guidelines and not making sure people are wearing mask. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!

I love the variety of the programs, the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the facility. I am there about 6 days a week and focus on swimming, HIIT, yoga, Pilates, spinning and functional weight lifting exercises. The fees are also very reasonable!

It''s the best deal in town. All the classes are free with a membership and there is a huge variety from which to choose. Instructors are great! the facility is almost ready to open with a expansion nearly doubling workout space. Parking is mostly hassle free which cannot be said for so many workout facilities in town. The towel service is a great extra.

I have visited this location with my family on several occasions. My children love the outdoor pool! Did I mention that they love the outdoor pool? This location has both an indoor and outdoor pool. I enjoy the variety of cardio and weight machines available for use. I highly recommend this location for families with school aged children.....especially during the summe time because usage of the pool is included with membership!

My all-time favorite gym!! It's always clean. I love the available towels. Truly the best value for your money - workout classes, pool, equipment, track, and basketball hoops.

I love this location and I really need to go but I'm totally disappointed that some afternoon the television is turning on, this is the space for children to interact with others and having fun playing, not the space for spending time watching Television. Thanks YMCA this the best place for mother's working out.

The Buckhead branch of the Atlanta YMCA is an exceptional facility. There was a wide variety of equipment (even olympic weightling equipment and a jacobs ladder to name a few). The facility also had highly available cardio equipment and one of the nicer locker rooms I have seen at a YMCA.

If I lived in the area, I would not hesitate to become a member of this branch!
