Capt. Bill's Waterfront Restaurant Review

Went for Restaurant week 2019. The food was great, the portions size was generous. The service staff was ok, our waiter didn't come around much (party of 5:. Tip 18% automatic). The other tables with less people had wait staff more attentive and friendly. Will definitely do again in the warmer weather to enjoy the ocean view.

Great service from the minute we walked in! Food was delicious and no pressure as my friends and I lingered too long after lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed!

I visit this restaurant often! This is the best place to have a bite. I go there regularly. The meals are of high quality, the crew is helpful and the prices are fair. I like being in this place for a decent lunch.

Very nice bar which seems to be filled with a lot of locals. The patrons and staff were all friendly. I attended a wedding there in the formal banquet room but was early so we ordered drinks and stood at the bar for an hour.

Amazing selection of foods for a buffet and each one was absolutely delicious!

Captain Bill's - Great Food! If you want a quick meal, go to the bar. The bar menu is great ... had jumbo shrimp in a wanton woth Thai chilli sauce!

Food was great, room was just the right size, room between tables and dance floor service staff was a little slow, but got the job done.

At the affair I was attending the food was great. The only problem was they forgot my table with the dessert. So by the time dessert arrived the ice cream had melted.

Overpriced mediocre food is the nicest way to describe it. The calamari was good. That's about it. Sweet tea is powdered mix, that's about the sum of their effort in preparing the food.

It was delicious. We all enjoyed everything we ordered. It did take long to get our meals and they weren't busy but we were in no rush like we usually are.

My favorite place for brunch. Bloody Marys and Mimosas galore! Tons of incredible food, from fruit and veggies to meats, veggies and seafood. The omelet station might just be my favorite though. The staff is really incredible too. You get to know people when you go there a bunch of times a month. Everyone remembers you and seems genuinely happy to see you. It's just a very refreshing place to visit and the food is always fantastic.

Brunch: First time there around 12pm. The Good: Omlette Station was my favorite you can choose the toppings. The server was very nice and attentive at the omlette station. Eggs Benedict, roasted potatoes, were good. The bagels were a bit hard or the knives were dull. The penne a la vodka with mussels were good. The carving station was good too. The crab legs are a nice size. They continuously keep replenishing the crab legs.
The not so good: Valet parking ugh just dont like this service. I just prefer not to let someone drive my car.There was a bit of confusion with the bridal party and the brunch guests on where the line was. This led to a scattered line for the buffet. My husband hated and I mean loathed the Bloody mary he didnt even continue drinking it. My first mimosa was good i felt good then after the first they were all watered down. Definetly more juice than champagne. I asked the waitress for a coke which was forgotten. I asked the waitress a half an hour later and she brought it then. They refill your mimosas effectively but not coffee. The waffles were a miss nothing really good about it. The crab legs were salty and my preference is warm crab legs not cold. Lacked dipping sauces, like butter, lemon, tartar sauces the only choice was cocktail sauce. Lunch options were mostly pasta and salads. Many dessert options but truthfully nothing going over the moon for. The standard costco, bjs, wholesale treats
It's okay and for the price I think its good. We had to ask the hostess for our check because we didnt get one and didnt find a waiter nearby. You get variety and it's a buffet but nothing that will have me dying to go back. Maybe it's a nice thing to do once a year.

Excellent seafood restaurant with full drink menu. Best clam chowder I have eat. Salmon was excellent. On a Long Island bay.

Had reservations for two at 8pm. Got seated and it took forever for the waitress to take our order. Came for restaurant week, I got the mussels and my girlfriend got the calamari for appetizers. The fried calamari was only rings, and we found some french fries in it. The sauce the mussels came in was good, but the mussels themselves were under cooked and boogery. For the entree I got the swordfish and my girlfriend got the steak. No issues with the steak, but I found a few bones in the swordfish. For dessert we got the bread pudding and pound cake. Neither were spectacular, but they weren't bad either. Overall, I wasn't to happy with our meal, and will not be going back anytime soon

Great view, excellent atmosphere, food was very good

Went here for a birthday and was not disappointed. We got a few drinks before being seated and the bartender was lovely and we got our drinks no problem. Once being seated they immediately made sure we were all good on drinks and if we had any questions. All the appetizers were delicious as well as the food (I personally had their Salmon) it was to die for. What I really loved was that I had to leave the table to change and breastfeed my daughter, when I came back they took my plate to broil it so I wasnt eating cold food. It was incredibly thoughtful! I highly recommend.

Very nice seafood restaurant 3 pound Lobster $78 a little pricey if you ask me good seafood nice atmosphere service was okay try to get a reservation and get a window table to look out over the bay

Service was just OK and I had the prime rib whick was tasty but very fatty. Wife had the 2 lobster tails that were very small.

Simply put u have never had a bad time here the food is spectacular

My wife had the broiled seafood platter and I had the ginger- soy salmon and both were SUPERB!!! I would highly recommend eating at Captain Bills....service was great also without being bothersome. Great atmosphere and never stuffy.

Had a great time! Made an online reservation, started at the bar for a half hour. My wife wanted to substitute spinach for kale in the salad - no problem. I had prime ribs, my wife had scallops - everything was delicious. We hadn't been back for anything but a wedding since they renovated many years ago. We are definitely going back.

My photo shoot over, a fellow photographer recommended Captain Bill's for late lunch. And we LOVED the service and food. I heartily recommend starting with the Lobster Bisque which is incredible. I'll be back.

Was there for a luncheon food ok service great price iffy would I go there again probably not. The view of the South shore like always was beautiful.
