While at Fire Island Day at the beach and the lighthouse, GPS took us to this awesome place for dinner. The service couldnt be better and the food was excellent from apetizer, fresh herbs the cheff used to prepare our meals to the coconut pie! A place to come back definetely!

Fantastic and delightful food, I love the vibes this spot has, and the staff members were super nice. Will surely eat here again.

First I want to say that everyone that works at Captain are very nice.
I had their Fried clams on Sunday and they were the best fried clams I've ever eaten. Then for dinner, I had the surf and turf and it was cooked perfectly and it was very good. Tonight I ordered the Fried Shrimp dinner and I thought the price of 30.00 was a little steep until I got the order. Jumbo Shrimp fried perfectly with Mozzarella draped on top. It came with boiled potatoes, carrot strips and green beans. It was worth every penny of the 30.00.

Had a quiet lunch by vfb the water, all safety features followed. Very good cauliflower flat bread, quite loaded with salad. Nice and fresh. Fresh crab meat, expensive but large chunks of crab. Shared sourbrauten, with potato pancakes and red cabbage. All delicious.

Great Brunch today. Mimosa and Bloody Mary's, fruit, veggies, starches, carved meats, boiled shrimp and crab legs, and an omelet station too. Loads of desserts. Great food, and the service from Katie was superb! Made for a memorable Birthday celebration beginning. Thanks so much for making my 58th great.

Invited our friends there this past Saturday evening to celebrate a special occasion. The service was attentive. However, we were extremely disappointed with the dinners. My husband and I ordered the swordfish. Not only were the portions extremely small; the meals both came out just about warm. They both tasted like they were just heated in the microwave and sitting for some time. Normally, I would have addressed this situation immediately. Because we were entertaining our friends, we did not address this issue with waitress. Would not go back.

The worst resteraunt in Bay Shore. Wish I could have gave them 0 stars. Came here for birthday, had a reservation, waited 45 minutes for my salad and my husbands soup. I order a wedge salad for which they tell me is actually chopped with vinegrette and blu cheese, who the hell is the chef, our main course didn't come until 8, medium well steak not, it well well done I mean burnt in the edges. Had to ask 3 different people for a straw because the first 2 never returned. When I finally asked to speak to the manager she came, left and never returned. Portions are undersized and sides are not seasoned at all. Will never go back.

Food was terrible for the price, caterers were nasty and one of them kept eying my stroller to take back one chicken finger I put aside for my daughter who is 15 months old and is sick. When food was served buffet style she didn't eat and we had over a hour and a half long ride home to queens. Her plate was paid for too. I asked to take a chicken finger with me and they told me no. How rude my daughter needed to eat and like I said, her plate was paid for. No changing station in the bathroom either, this is something that was dangerous to change my daughter on a skimpy countertop I'm the bathroom. I will never come back here after the experience we had.

Our annual holiday party was wonderful as always. The food was excellent and staff helpful and friendly as always. Berlin was particularly wonderful.

The restaurant was very clean and well operated by staff. The issue I had is that the food at the event I went to was cold when it should have been hot. The food wasn't being replenished fast enough when the group that came was big. The crab legs weren't seasoned to taste. Other than that this restaurant is wonderful place to dinner by the water with family and friends.

Excellent. Went here on a whim because we waited too long to book a table at the usual place we go. Called here and they told us they had an opening. Got there - very nice place at the end of the pier - no busy traffic or anything since it isn't on a main Street. Big parking lot with a valet in Brightwater which is a beautiful neighborhood. Boats are right outside the window. Nice place inside and service was great. Food was excellent. Even the sides we're perfectly done. As someone who has oived in the area for 4 years and prides myself in knowing good restaurants, I am ashamed to have not know about this place earlier. Prices were also very fair - a shade over 200 bucks for 3 people soup to nuts. Will 100 percent return. Try it if you haven't already.

Unfortunately my family decided to invite me to my birthday dinner here on 7/19/17. Service was great and is the only reason for 2 star. There was a couple of things that ruined the night for me however, first my mothers lobster was given to another table accidentally, this of course made us all wait an extra 15+mins for our meal. Once the lobster got there it was grossly over cooked and rubbery so it was returned to the kitchen. Second issue we had was that we asked the host and staff 3 separate times for a birthday cake and at the end they still forgot. We decided to not ask again. Last thing and in my opinion that worse thing was the owner! After the dinner we wanted to talk to the owner and let him know about our night and the first thing he did was ask "WHO DID IT!" Honestly what should be more important is the food and what structure they have for the employees, its very disturbing that the owner could throw an employee under the bus so quickly and without hesitation. Again service was great, food was alright, the customer service of the owner was horrible.

Nice seat right on the water. Good food and good service. Had reservations and we were seated right away.

This place is great. I have been here about 4 times now. There is always something on the specials menu I like. I had a duck special i had a pork chop special and last night I had the Beef Brisket with demi glaze and mashed potato and sauteed spinach. I don't remember what I had the first time I went. The atmosphere is wonderful here. Every time we go, the service is great. When I have people come from out of state I suggest this place to go to eat. Everyone we brought, loved it.

Great space for a small gathering or a wedding. Food is always top notch!

For brides looking to book at this venue, do it. During the pandemic, the managers were very accommodating and always kept up on communication. They worked with us and refunded us our deposit. I kept hearing horror stories of couples losing lots of money to venues that refused to work with them. I was so lucky that wasn t the case with Captain Bills. I look forward to using them in the future at their beautiful location!

Food was amazing except the dessert. I would have given them 5 stars. Our food was so tasty and fresh clams, oysters, steak, Shrimp, calamari. Freakin Delicious. The Apple crumb was soggy and disappointing so I know not to order that again but I will definitely be back.

Very friendly staff and attentive. We had requested to sit by the window and the hostess was apologizing numerous times for the 2 minute wait until they cleared it up. The food was very good even though they overcooked my steak a little. I had requested a medium but I got a medium well.
The place is very clean and some spectacular views of the bay.

Visited earlier this week, the service was amazing. Jessica was fantastic, attentive and courteous. The food was equally as great. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

Waitress was great, really friendly and fun.food was excellent.really the best sea food I had in a while....well definitely come back...frist time eating at this restaurant, but came there for many events a nice-size party room as always food was great. Definitely worth it to eat at this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely incredible. Cool comfy outdoor seating and food is phenomenal. Atmosphere is very pleasant. Full menu, prices are as expected. Cant wait to return.

I went here for the first time last night and I had a great experience. Parking is valet so you don't need to worry about that. The location is great, the views must be awesome in the daytime; it is situated right by the bayshore ferry. It was restaurant week so I stuck with that menu which was a good deal. I started with the limenchello martini which was good. My girlfriend got the expresso martini, which she enjoyed with a side of Bailey's. I tried with and without and enjoyed both. I then ordered the baked muscles. They were very fresh and the sauce they were in had a kick, which was fantastic. Next I had the swordfish for a main meal. I wish I took pictures, the portions were amazing for restaurant week. Sides were potatoes and green beans/ carrots. All tender and delicious. Dessert was apple cake, shared the crumb cake with my girlfriend. Awesome experience, friendly quick and responsive service. Will be back again!

Was there on Sunday May 26 2018 as a guess for a baby shower. Couldn t be happier about the whole affair. Staff were great. Food was excellent. Overall, everything was top of the line. Will highly recommend this place.

Beautiful sunset dinner on the wat.er. I had the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection, hard to do when you ask for well done beef. Baked clams were also good. Very nice service from the waitress. I been here several times and would totally go back.

Excellent place for social gatherings. Went to a party that was catered in the back room, staff was fantastic, food was amazing. Highly recommend Captain Bills for anyone looking to rent for any future parties.

First of all, $4 for a 3/4 full glass if soda. That's all I should need to say, but I'll go on. The fried calamari appetizer was good, I'll give them that. The dinner, not so much. I got the broiled seafood platter, but I don't like flounder, so I asked if I could get extra shrimp instead. The waitress said yes, and that amounted to 2 extra shrimp, for a total of 4. The shrimp were way overcooked to the point that I could barely cut them with a knife let alone chew them. They gave 4 tiny scallops and one...yes one...small baked clam not much bigger than the frozen ones in the grocery store. The sides were 3 halves of tiny potatoes and about 6 string beans. My fiancee got the salmon which she said was good, but not nearly the best she has had. The bill came to $80 for this. Definitely not worth the money. People love this place...I can't figure out why.

Foods OK view is OK but all you see is the marina. Only vala

Was a large catered Christmas party, very good food and good service.

Not ever impressed. Great views, nice building... Food and staff always remind me of the ground round. Someone's always sending food back, someone always says never again, someone always has a dirty glass. Just time for a sweeping change to everything but the windows.

Have only had brunch here a few times but the food is always good quality. Nice service and clean place. They have separate rooms which are great for big events too.

Had my rehearsal dinner here and loved it. Went back for lunch and wasn't disappointed.

Not sure if the food was worth the price, but it was a nice experience.

Had lunch there Lobster was horrible. Shocked it was so bad.
