Beautiful hetching and antique furniture, ran by volunteers and paid staff I believe. I always feel like a star when I visit. I don't get food there as it used to be overpriced. Movie tickets are affordable. Their events are a fun time, too.

Have been here on many occasions and have loved the experience every time be it with an adult group or more often with the kids. Grab some school holiday tickets through promotional sites as cheap as $5 for kids and family ticket for $25.
Enthusiast volunteers help the running of the theatre with internal furnishings from ye olde days but with some modern and comfortable seating, booster seats for small kids. Check the days when the organist is playing and enjoy the show!

I love this theatre. The seats are comfortable and the volunteers are fantastic. The prices are great especially for seniors, only $8. Why go to one of the large movie theaters and pay heaps for popcorn and drinks when you can get them at the Capri for a reasonable price.

Absolutely stunning theater. It's like a step back in time with the stunning decor reminiscent of an era long gone. The candy bar offers a great selection at a reasonable price. The people who work at the theater are all volunteers and have an absolute love for their job. This shows the depth of passion that people have for this place. I highly recommend it!!!

Incredible, like stepping back into the 1940s. A fantastically preserved cinema, so much more a whole movie going experience than the sterile modern day multiplex cinemas. Run by volunteers, and all profits going to maintain this gem.

Very authentic decor. Beautiful. Volunteers were wonderful. The organist was delightful so definitely go early to experience it. Overall a lovely evening. Cosy two seaters as well as comfy singles. Delicious munchies and a glass of wine or beer if so desired.
Finished off with a late dinner at two sisters across the street.

Great Old Fashioned VIP Experience!

Great Old Fashioned VIP Experience!

Went to a Christmas School Holiday Session to the the Kids Movie SING.

On arrival a gentleman standing in the heat of the day opened up the outside door to the cinema complex and Welcomed us to the Capri Movie Theater.

As we had pre purchased tickets the young man on the Theater door was very courteous and helpful.

On our departure the Gentleman who opened the door on our arrival also opened it for us to leave and Thanked us for coming to the Capri Movie Theater and also Hoped we'd enjoyed our time.

The Theater is run by volunteers and they do a fantastic job. Thank you!!

Great Old Fashioned VIP Experience.
WE WILL BE BACK!

Beautifully maintained example of an Art Deco theatre complete with a working full scale organ whose organist rises and vanishes through the stage on special sessions. Run by volunteers and supported by the local community as a treasure, assisting local organisations with fundraising and events. The organ can be seen working on Tuesdays, Friday and Saturday screenings and worth the effort.

Great value anytime, but more so during school holidays. Buy Scoopon children's tickets for $5, which include $1 off any size bucket popcorn. However, today offering extra $5 deal of popcorn, fruit box and chuppa chup, cant find this value anywhere else. Think this maybe school holiday special, but why would u go anywhere else, current movies, manned by friendly volunteers and the proceeds goong to the ongoing upkeep on this wonderful old movie theatre. Highly recommend.

Great old building, art Deco, run by volunteers, organist pops up from the middle of the stage and plays the huge old organ for 10 mins or so then disappears into the stage. The children were fascinated

We enjoyed our visit to the Capri. It was quite nostalgic and brought back feelings of a life from the past. The volunteers were wonderful and so committed. This truly is an Adelaide icon.
