I hadn't been to this restaurant in a number of years but it's always a good place to pull in for breakfast. Great Hometown atmosphere. I need to start coming here more often

Dont waste your money this food is worse than cafeteria food...I ordered waffles...steak n crispy potatoes"" pancakes n omelet..I got french toast...boiled potatoes n steak more like beef stew and all my toast were not toasted for me and my family did not eat total waste of $70 ...try eat chow much better

Food was GREAT. Really good service. Chicken fried steak was great and my wife loved the Chili Cheese Omelet.

Broad menu. I had a seafood omelette which was very tasty. I ate at the bar so cannot comment on the table service. The one bar tender was busy and efficient. The place was full on a Saturday morning and was kind of noisy. Parking is limited but there is designated motorcycle parking. I've been told that this is thee place that locals go.

It's only a breakfast and lunch place and closes at 3. Not too pricey and very homely ambiance. There are some options for vegetarians and their portions are big!

Delicious meal. The oatmeal hit the spot. This is the premier diner on Newport Beach! The waitstaff is incredibly attentive, especially my server Jazmin. She really stays on top of things. Management does a good job. Food is fresh and tasty. Service is top notch like a well-oiled machine! I love Cappy s Cafe!

A fun local restaurant. The food was good and served quick. We had a large group and were well taken care of.

I ordered a Cheese Quesadilla. The egg was minimal. The cheese was almost non-existent. The bacon was sort of ground up and was rubbery and tasteless. (Kinda creepy actually.) There was a lot of chopped up tomato and a ridiculously large amount of green chiles in it. Yuck! It was a mess that did not deserve to be called a Quesadilla. My husband got the omelette with bacon and cheese. There was only cheese on the outside of the Omelette not on the inside. So the crumbled bacon would just spill out and scatter all over the plate. Fail! We both had good potatoes. That's one reason I gave 3 . The service was fine. Coffee? Mine was good. His decaf was tepid. For the price, which is a bit expensive, I would have expected much better.

Food was good but waited over an hour to get it. We're sat right away, placed our order, drinks came quickly and then nothing. Didn't even see our waitress anymore. When asked they said that they were short staffed in the kitchen and food was taking longer than expected. We kept waiting and a half hour later we asked again and were told should be out soon. It was another 15 minutes before it came out.

Service was great however we fiund the prices a little for the quality of food. It waa just average. Dennys for the Win

Food and service used to be very good. We haven't been to cappys in a while but were disappointed this last time. Service was very slow. The food was very slow to arrive. Patrons around us, who arrived after us, recieved their orders before us. Food flavors were not the same. We used to love going there. We will probably never go back. Sad and disappointed.

Popular, tasty breakfast spot. We didn't have to wait too long for a Sunday morning. Each of the plates was a generous portion, and there was ZERO shortage of coffee. Animals are welcome to sit in the patio area. The prime rib melt was sooo good with the waffle fries, plus it was enough to save for later!

A little pricey but the food is good the French toast cinnamon rolls are delicious

Good local hangout. Only open for Breakfast and Lunch, but have a nice selection for good prices. They have a delicious Malted Waffle to start your day.

Fantastic home cooked food, extremely well done. Great staff, everyone was really nice. The portions were HUGE, we could have split one between us. Almost no line at 10 am on a Monday.

Nothing to complain about. Just great plates of delishous food. Coffee was good as well. Happy people working there too. I wish there were more places like this everywhere!

I was down, visiting my Cousin in Huntington Beach. When we went for breakfast he said this place was the best. The food was AWESOME with HUGE portions. I may have been visiting my cousin but, I was also there on business. When I asked for a receipt of purchase, so that I could submit it for my expense report; the waitress continue to forget to get my receipt. I continued to ask her over and over. I had to tell her that I was going to be late for work and that I needed to get that receipt as soon as possible. When a different waitress handed me my receipt, it was on a tiny scribbled piece of paper and she just tossed the receipt on the table, rolled her eyes, and stomped away like it was a major burden to do. Not very friendly...

Our first time and I wish we had come much sooner. The food was pretty incredible!!!

Quick kind service outdoors in the parking lot. Go early, it gets hot quickly under their large tent.

Service was not so great. Sat for a long time before anyone took our drink order. Sat and waited even longer to put in our food order. Ordered a mimosa never received it. Food was soggy and cold. Gave me the bill real quick. Couldn't help but notice we were the only Hispanics in the place. Also the only party to have to wait A LONG TIME to receive some sort of service. I wouldn't recommend this place.

We love Cappy's. Great food, smiling employees. Under new ownership, the food was even better than before and that's saying something because the food was awesome then too.
