Came here once, food was fine, waitress good, price pretty good. Not too loud. Came here a 2nd time expecting same. No go. It was a weekend and they are serving unlimited mimosas so there are several loud drunks about which the servers did nothing. One server joined in the noise. Our service was slow, took a few times to get what we wanted. The eggs are tiny. About half the size of a normal egg, let alone large or x-large. It was windy so the guy cleaning tables didn't notice that the spray was going to the other tables and contaminating the food or drinks. One person mentioned it to a manager. It was overpriced - $3 for an extra tiny egg - almost the size of a quail egg. The hollandaise sauce is packaged so very unhealthy. The fruit salad - some was unripe, some overripe. Perhaps it is the wrong season. We may try again during the week but not too soon.

This is definitely an old-school diner type place where you can get a big greasy breakfast after a long day at the beach. There are not many of these diner type restaurants still around. I hope they continue to last into the future.

Pretty popular place for locals & tourists, known for a great breakfast, although they also serve lunch. They always seem to be super busy, so the service is a bit slow. Seems like they could afford to hire more people.

Very cool atmosphere, very friendly. I found the food to be put together really well. Great taste without the overpriced hype. The servers are very relatable. Will definitely eat there again given the opportunity

Walked in with a friend and not very hungry when the waitress asked me what I'd like I asked for a sourdough avocado grilled cheese not on menu but thought I'd try and Cappys didn't skip a beat my server was very gracious and next thing you know it came out perfect and that speaks for the rest of the folks they never let my iced tea run out and my friend and I had a nice lunch if you get a chance to eat at Cappys don't miss it.

The worst food I have ever had. It didn't taste bad it had no taste at all zilch Zippo zero. It was overpriced. For french toast and eggs benedict our bill was over $40! That is outrageous we will never go to Crappy's again!

We were riding our bicycles back to Long Beach and needed some lunch when I noticed Cappy's. I thought it looked like the kind of place that would hv good tasting selections at reasonable prices. The place was perfect. We did not want big meals. I had scrambled eggs, my husband had a berger & Fries. Prices reasonable. We locked our bikes outside. Perfect. The kind of place you go when you arent sure what you want to eat.

This is exactly how a diner should always be.

Food is exquisite, coffee excellent and everyone is handy and focused on the customer. A must visit if you are around Newport Beach.

Good breakfast spot. The wait staff are all ample and the ,idle aged men crowing the place know it. :-) I have the corned beef hash. Pretty awesome. The sign of a good diner is when they know how to poach an egg soft. They do at Cappy'e

The Prime Rib Melt was delicious with the au jus dipping bowl. Quaint and cozy atmosphere. The passion fruit iced tea was also excellent. The omlettes are very good. Helpful friendly service.

This place was really good. The food was yummy and portions were good. I had the prime rib melt and my boyfriend had the eggs Benedict, we also split the Gouda Mac and cheese. My food was delicious, the eggs Benedict was so so, one of the eggs was so over cooked the yolk looked liked a hard boiled egg. The other two were fine, he said it was pretty good! The Mac and cheese was ok.

Our hotel was in walking distance to cafe. We have visited area for years and were excited to finally eat there. Three of us. One got breakfast, one lunch, and one more of a dinner dish. I usually get a salad when eating out. Chicken salad would cost $20, so I ordered fish dinner for $22. No flavor at all, seriously none. Breakfast was average, and only finished half of lunch due to taste. Very, very disappointed. Really had high hopes. Bill for three with meals, one ice tea, and two waters: $62 without tip.
