Last Thursday, August 25, I was on my way to work ...
Last Thursday, August 25, I was on my way to work on I40. I heard a loud noise from under the hood, and the car started shaking. I tried to accelerate and couldn't. I was able to get off to the side of the interstate, and it sounded like the engine had blown. I shut off the car and called Triple A. They took the car on a rollback to Capital Ford where I had bought the car in Feb. of this year. It's a 2016 Mustang. The first person I spoke with asked what time my appointment was. I explained to him what had happened. He wouldn't even make eye contact with me. He only said, "Well it may be tomorrow before we can work you in". I said, "Well then, I'm going to need a loaner". He said, "I'll have to talk to some one inside". The next man I spoke with ask me what I was there for. I told him the same thing, and felt like I was getting the cold shoulder. He said, "We'll try to work you in. Leave a phone number where we can reach you". I had to explain again that I came in on a rollback, I was stranded there since this was my only means of transportation. He told me they have a shuttle that could take me to work. When I asked if the shuttle went to Durham he told me no. So there I was. Needed to be at work
, and no way to get there. He told me to go inside and wait. I will have to say, they did fix my car quickly. Turned out it was the throttle body. I was told to help get me out and on my way, they would mail me the paper work on the repair. It's now a week later and I still have no paper work on the repair. This is the 3rd car that I have bought from Capital Ford and I have never had a problem until now. I still give a big thumbs up to the salesman. He was awesome, and the man that took care of the financing was really cool. The guys in the service department, not so much. They could use some people skills. If a customer comes in with a brand new car that left them on the side of the road, they shouldn't just say, "Well, we'll work you in when we can". To me they were very rude. I left feeling like the fact that I'm old, I'm a woman, and that my job calls for me to dress as a blue collar worker, that they were happy to just blow me off.
