Rooms and pool need some tlc. Service is friendly. Little kids in hottub and other rules not observed/enforced in pool area. Tavern United has a great pub atmosphere. Restaurant is nice and simple with good selection and reasonably priced.
It has become an annual tradition to have a private dining room served for a family party. The staff have always been extremely accommodating in regards to dietary restrictions and preferences. A very good atmosphere, with impressive brickwork, a live indoor fish pond and topiary lined paths lit by soft lamp posts.
The restaurant in the Inn had a good buffet with a wide range of foods. The salad bar, for those who only want the soup and salad, included more than I expected so you might want to check what all is part of the salad bar.
We stayed in the Roman Theme room and it was beautiful and clean. The only issue was one of the lights didn't work but that wasn't a problem at all for me
Overall, the main lobby/restaurant area could use a bit of updating. The fake plants are in need of dusting! The room was great, very clean and had all the essentials needed for a good rest. Pool area extremely busy with kids
Had the Friday seafood buffet. Seafood was good, but everything else lacked. Roast beef was dry and the potatoes had a bad flavor and they're usually good. Asked a server to bring a pitcher of water for us and never got it. Had to wait until another server came by maybe 15 minutes later
was very happy with the staff - the call centre staff gave me wrong information which was frustrating, but the staff on site were great. The bed was VERY comfy which I was pleasantly surprised with!
We go here about 3 times a year this place is going down hill quickly . The public toilets are not cleaned the rooms are old and tired . We went for breakfast it took over an hour to get our food and 2 of the meals were burnt . Next time we stay in Winnipeg we will be staying somewhere else.
Usually a good place to go. Went there for my kids birthday booked 3 rooms they got us in super late. Check-in was for 3 and they didn't get us in our rooms till 6. We sat around in the hotel for 3 hours before getting our rooms. We made the best of it but at that point kind of just ruined the night for my family.
I spent a night in this hotel its very clean and have a biiig pool.the staff are nice and helpful . The food is not the best i didn't realy like it , the location is near to every thing there is bus station judt infront of the hotel and near of restaurants too.
Great service and also great service at the restaurant, great mattress in the hide-a-bed, 3 kids (almost 8, 6 & 3) slept phenomenally in the king bed. Rediculously thick pillows, but had some more options in the closet thankfully (only 2 tho). The pool was awesome, BUT SOOO COLD! Didn't bug my almost 8 year old but me and my 6 year old were done after a while. The pool room itself was cold.
Gathered there for a church men's group. No charge for the space (35 men) and although the space was open, it suited us well. Good service and a great brunch buffet, including custom made omelettes.
We stayed in the Titanic theme room, it was great. Big king size bed, and two bunks in a separate room, jacuzzi tub and plenty of space. Pool was your classic Canad inns pool, nice but nothing amazing. The waterslide is fairly decent.
The themed rooms were awesome! The kids loved the Wild Wild West and Titanic rooms. The whirlpool jacuzzis were awesome! I only wished they had HD cable...
Food was horrible at the buffet Not cooked well and tge shrimp was frozen Practically most of the food was frozen Meat was very hard Rice was also hard Dont recommend you going there
Not the best hotel stay we've had. The beds were terrible, and the family across the hall insisted on allowing their kids to run up and down the halls - screaming - for hours. A call to the front desk did nothing.
Friendly (front) staff. Good place to stay since it surrounded by some nice stores and restaurants. Clean room too. My teenage daughters really enjoyed their stay. And that s enough for my husband and me.
The attendant who was in the pool area had limited English and had trouble communicating with children. They thought they were being told they couldn't go down the water slides. I paid $98 for breakfast and the food was awful. It was cold and dry and tasted bad. I told our server but was told I'm sorry. I usually have a much more positive experience. I'm very disappointed.
I went to Alto's for lunch. I really was not satisfied with the service. They were understaffed. It took 30 minutes to get our food and the server never came to check on us. I was surprised because I usually have good service there.
I was in a theme room which walls were paper thin. Food in main area was freezer burnt and Room keys demagnetized over several times while sitting in the pool area. Pool area was unclean. Over all service was terrible. I won't be back and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
Loud noisey hotel. Kids running down the hall screaming all hours of the night. Walls are paper thin, can hear your next door neighbour at 5am in the bathroom. Not worth the price tag.
DISGUSTED with the communication from this hotel and I haven t even had the misfortune of staying yet. Booked for a birthday party and was not given the correct information, hotel refused to accommodate for their error and management ignored phone calls and messages. If there was time to fix this without disappointing a group of kids I would run for my life rather than give any of the inconsiderate staff in this hell hole my time and money. So mad!
It's a nice property. Rooms are well equipped. Haven't used the pool, but coworker said he liked it, but it's noisy. My room was next to the pool and pretty noisy also, but the sound of kids having fun has never bothered me. The pool is closed around ten or eleven anyway... Staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside is their policy that the room Must be serviced every 48 hours, so if you check in Friday night, and want to not be disturbed until Monday morning, that's not possible. I would think if your were Bieber or Trudeau, they would make an exception, but not for average Joe. I suppose their actual concern is to make sure you haven't hung yourself or turned your room into a brothel, rather than ensuring it's clean. Restaurant food is good, but a bit pricey. You could get a 15 percent discount at the front desk though.. Any issues or concerns I had were addressed promptly, and always with a smile. Koodos to the front desk agents.
Attended for a work meeting. Staff werre friendly and accommodating and the building itself was clean and inviting. I wouldn't say there was anything outstanding that I noticed during the short time I was there but certainly no issues either.
Spent my honeymoon here with my new beautiful wife and enjoyed our stay here. Wonderful service, accommodating and caring. We were given a gracious discount and enjoyed 3 nights here 2 of which in one of their theme rooms. They could maybe spend some time doing small renovations to the theme room as it is getting dated but is very beautiful and exciting. Loved the pool and the the restaurants had great food
The room was clean and lovely, but the noise level was awful. We could hear people yelling in the hallways, doors banging every few minutes, and people running up and down the halls. This went on until 1am. The walls must be paper-thin, and unfortunately, the staff was not concerned about keeping noise levels acceptable for all patrons. We ordered from the restaurant, and the food (pizza) was terrible. The pool area was overcrowded and un-kept. Overall, we found it overpriced and unsatisfactory.
