Our son is doing his remote learning here. It is an amazing experience for him! He is getting all his learning done, while spending the rest of the day doing camp activities like hiking, fencing, archery, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, building forts in wooded areas, among other things. I wish he never had to go back to regular school!!!!

Our son's wedding was there in August. The whole staff was so accommodating for a somewhat complicated event. There wasn't anything they wouldn't do to help make it a very special weekend. And special it was! Christa was so helpful and Chris did a great job with the menu. If there were 6 stars that still wouldn't be enough.

Camp Newaygo has been such an important staple in my children's lives since we moved here. It's something that they look forward to every summer.

It's a beautifully located camp with some of the most caring counselors you'll ever meet! Everyone is always so friendly, helpful and I know when I leave my children that they're safe and having fun.

The parking situation can be a little challenging to navigate but it's just a minor nuisance.

It's a beautiful and relaxing retreat. We went for an over night stay with my girl scout troop during an April snowstorm. The staff did an amazing job keeping the girls entertained even though we had to cancel our outdoor activities. I'd love to take my daughter back on the summer.

The kids (8 y/o girl, 9 y/o boy)REALLY loved their first week of day camp!! Both were hesitant to go but by the end of the first day they were begging to go all summer next year. My daughter is talking about a week of resident camp next year. Overall, a great experience from beginning to end.

I have been to camp for two years. I think it is truly an amazing place! Everyone at camp is so welcoming every year. I have to say my two favorite parts about camp are the songs and the classes. This past year I went to camp at the last two weeks I absolutely loved the traditional sereminoies such as wish boats and final final camp fire. Over all camp is a wonderful place to go.

Great place for a wedding! We had a very good friend get married here and it was really nice to have everyone be able to stay right where the ceremony was. The lake and view was beautiful and we were able to have a killer good time well into the night. I would be extremely excited to attend another wedding at this venue.

Absolutely beautiful location in a Serene setting. Our catered dinner by Ridge was excellent. Everything was perfectly prepared , creative and still warm even for our large group. The wait staff was hovering and ever ready to provide more water or take away a plate or whatever you needed. I highly recommend this location for group affairs.

We went there for the fairy houses and the trails and had a great time. The story tellers and guides were very helpful. When we got back from the trails the refreshments and the camp fire we're welcoming. Thank you for the adventure.

Went to fifth grade camp here. I had a lot of memorable experiences here. They have public access to their board walk which is on a rare bog that is nice for morning walks and fall pictures. Staff is pretty nice.

Camp Newaygo was the first overnight camp I ever went to. It was my first experience away from home (4 hours away to be exact) and I enjoyed it. I was in Tinuwen, the unit for incoming 8th graders. It's definitely rustic. Tinuwen is basically cabins on stilts without any walls, just screens. If you're a younger camper, you sleep in places that are less rustic, but as you get older, your living environment becomes more wilderness and nature oriented. So if you're an older camper (by the way, this is an all girls camp) that's maybe about 13-14 years old or older that doesn't like rustic environments or is not an outdoorsy person, don't register for this camp. I'm not really an outdoors kind of girl, so it was kind of overwhelming (especially the overnight tent trip in the woods, which every camper goes on) but I still rated it 5 stars because of everything else. The activities are great, and so are the counselors. The facilities are also really clean and well maintained. In my opinion, the food is okay. A lot of people say it's really good but I think it's average. Maybe I'm just spoiled with home cooking....? But the thing I really loved about camp was my friends. I became friends with basically everybody in my cabin. We became sisters. Yes, there were about 2-3 girls in my cabin that were sweet but a little strange (sometimes made me a bit uncomfortable) but that happens in every camp at every cabin. Overall, everyone was super nice and welcoming. If you like the outdoors, fun activities, animals (they have so many cute critters!), and meeting new friends who will become your camp sisters, go to this camp! It's worth it and you will have the time of your life!
