Still a good place to go watch Hockey, however it's definitely showing it's age.
Calgary Roughnecks had a great game! Fast paced, exciting as atmosphere, lot's of fun for the kids!
Enjoyed the Roughnecks game. Bummer they lost in OT.
Way over priced food that doesn't even taste good the pizza was disgusting
It's just fine the way it is. No need for a new one built.
This is good place to watch the worlds best team win (or lose) staff is super helpful and friendly, food is way to good for the price but we did get a deal because we came so early. They have great items in their store and the prices are very reasonable
It's not a very nice place, if your not cheering for the right team god forbid (Flames) your dirt that they walk on, and very expensive to have (Date) night out
So i went to watch a hockey game here. i had bought tickets for Chile (since i have travelled here, i learned that it is prounounced cheeee-layyyy) vs Africa. i just imigrated from africa so i really wanted to see them play. But it turned out to be someplace named Calgaray vs. Sask-at-ce-wane and it was really boring. i though sask-at-ce-wane was a small country innnnn the middle east. oh well. I gave it 4 stars since what happened did was not able to be controlled by saddledome people excpet that one time. I was wearing my high quliaty expensive and favourite blouse/cardigan(tuzed0/sandals) and this on staff guy put his broom down my article of clothing anyway. the one disafaction was that my friend daveed (lean on hte ee) puked into my lap multiple times.
5 times.
Now 6.

8.
A grand total of 17.
Also the beer was sour.
I love beer.
It gets the job done, but damn is this stadium showing its age.
Foot traffic gets ridiculous and bathrooms get gross at times.
Although aging, I like the Saddledome. Got there when the doors opened so there was a crowd, but things moved along smoothly, even with the added security surrounding Barack Obama. He was the attraction when I attended. Coffee prices were very reasonable, but I can't speak for the rest of the concession items. Easy access by C-Train.
A classic old stadium. Great atmosphere to watch hockey.
Went to see Peter Frampton/ Steve Millar Band. Had a great Night. Easy to get to. The area was clean and all amenities close by
So it's the Saddle Some. Is it the worst place...no to be fair it's the only place like this in the city.
Building is looking tired & concession stands expensive
The secret back door to get in for free is my favorite part!
Such a great building.. Hope to be able to see another game at the Saddledome before Calgary builds a new stadium. They wont build such a unique place for sure. Lots of Parking and just minutes from downtown Calgary
Saturday is Hockey Night in Canada, the Saddledome is showing it s age, stadium food is average, bathroom lines were 5-10 min during intermission. Atmosphere was top notch. If taking a cab/Uber after game go immediately to West Entrance but be prepared for snails pace to leave. Probably faster to walk.
Dated poorly run facility. I'll never go to another concert there again.
Good seats, even in the nosebleeds. Highly recommended. Good fan base.
Very nice facilities. Well signed helpful staff to tell you where to go if you get lost.
Washrooms are totally disgusting. I cant go here... No concerts, no games... its the wild west... Completely disgusting.
saw the queen here some years ago..have taken my son here for flames games and the hit men. ..they have private booths that awe exclusively awesome..what a treat..
The wait for for the bathroom is to long and Bathrooms are discussing. Food is much money. I could go on but NO STARS FOR YOU.
Parking isn't as tricky as I thought it would be on a game night. And $15 for game night parking actually seems pretty reasonable to someone from Vancouver. Easy access. Seems like there could be more washrooms, and of course the drinks/food are vastly overpriced during a hockey game, but overall I had a good time watching my first NHL hockey game at the Saddledome. They could do some work on accessibility, as I didn't see very many wheelchair users, probably because I can see it being a bit of a hassle for them (not impossible, but certainly not optimized).
Here for Peter Frampton and Steve Miller on the floor!
Good for watching games. It badly needs an update/replacement.
Always a good time! Tiny bathrooms but that's okay because the dome is sold out and that's ideal! Loved watching the battle of Alberta and a sick goalie fight :)
Thanks to Ply Gem we were able thru kids up front to let our foster kids enjoy a Hitman game. Aged 6, 4 and 3, they loved it. The adults enjoyed too even though the Hitman lost. The youngest was thrilled by the zambonies, and all the kids loved the intermission follies. So thanks to everyone involved, especially Ply Gem Building Products in Calgary and kids up front.
Out dated building. Parking situation is terrible. Concession lines too long.
We went to sit in the 'C of Red' and it was awesome. Thanks to my dentist who gave us the tickets we had a great view of the ice and the teams. Agreat place to enjoy FLAMES HOCKEY.
I strongly suggest to the management of this particular location to train their stuff more on customer service and how to deal with customers! I didn't have a pleasant experience :(
Went to a Hitmen game with my son and spent more money on food than the tickets. The security was over the top. I understand that some security is required but to hand wand and search a twelve year old. Come on. The new rule of no re-entry would have been nice to know before going in, as a smoker this was hard to accept. I'm just glad I didn't she'll out hundreds for a flames game. I don't think I will ever return. .......
Who doesn't like the dome. Concerts and sporting events
It's always a good time. Gonna pay stadium prices so bring a little extra cash with ya.
Fun place to watch flames game, needs to be updated with more washrooms though
old. dirty. bathrooms are too far away. food variety is poor. beer is expensive and makes you bloated. poor design limits the type of bands that are able to play here.
Good place to watch Hockey. Bad place to buy something to drink.
Fantastic looking systems i live to come back in saddle dome again
Great building for a concert. Amazing for a hockey game
Nice venue for a concert. Very expensive for food and beverages
Awesome but to leave traffic sucks oh well go Calgary go
The Sadledome is trippy
Can't wait to see Chad and his band
Can improve in the ticketing checking process. Food inside is ridiculously expensive.
Great atmosphere but definitely not the best arena. Very small seats and pathways.
Interesting location, parking is quite tight when events are happening.
Who doesn't love the saddle shape of the building? There's lots of parking too.
i went for the twenty one pilots concert and it was great
A great place filled with amazing beer and great memories that get better every year.
It's not bad the flames fans kinda sucks tho... they get pretty sour when your wearing a opposite jersey.
Great game. But crowd control is poor. People walking in front of you constantly
$45 for 4 beers? Good luck getting them back to your seats too. Between the insane ticket prices and the over inflated beverage prices, I will not be taking friends here.
I get that the saddledome is dated but I always have a good time no matter the event.
Nice staff and polite. Love the environment here when the flames are in town.
How is a place like this not setup to accept debit? Get with the times.
Food options continue to improve, if you time your bathroom breaks correctly lines are minimal but if you don't want to miss a second you'll be waiting all intermission. Be options are improving as well but the hangovers always seem worse. 5 stars because watching a home playoff win called for it
Always a great time at the Saddledome! Good variety of food and beverages within the venue, extremely busy concourse. For hockey, I find the Saddledome to be one of the loudest arenas in Canada!
Would love a new facility, but in the meantime this one works pretty well. The concourse is pretty jammed up, and washrooms as well.
