Great to come down to the dome and staff is always polite and friendly. The only issue is the old building and sticky floors.

Honestly don't know why they need to build a new one. Showing its age but definitely still modern and serviceable.
Very fun environment, facility is definitely getting old, you can tell that it just doesn't stack up against other nhl stadiums anymore
Good place, but Ticketmaster takes a large profit out of it though and the elevators are almost always broken. Water should be free at the venues not $4 for a cup, as it is a law in Canada to provide customers water free of charge. Vastly overpriced for other food items as well.
Great place to watch the Flames win! However, not great to watch a concert.
Long lineups for purchasing food/drinks and going to the washroom.
Good place but snacks and beverages are hugely overpriced.
Calgary flames and Montreal Canadians what an awesome game
I love the Saddledome! Die hard Flames Fan Go Flames Go!
Was given a set of surprise tickets and took a friend to see the Flames play the Ducks. Loved the seats and atmosphere.
Great venue. Billionaire owners of FLAMES WANT TAX PAYERS TO SUBSIDIZE THEM
They need an alternative for getting to the seats in the third level or lower the prices for those tickets to make it more worthwhile especially with the super high food prices.
Great Arena. Always clean, and helpful staff. Family friendsly
Great for Hockey and Concerts. Beer is a bit over priced same as the food but its Hockey
Extremely lively during a Flames game. Even the worst seats have a great view.
The folks at the Saddledome always put on a great show. This was a number of female artists opening for the Pentatonix. All three were well hosted by Saddledome. They often just do rock concerts, and country concerts, so these shows were a little out of their norm. My 9 year old daughter asked me why there was so much security, and between concert security, general security and police it was very overly present making her wonder if she actually was safe to need so many people like that. Music also was very loud at the song highs, distorting the sound of solo female singer and the acapella singers with music drowning songs out a bit- more like it was for aforementioned rock or country concerts. Typical drinks and food choices. No gluten free options for meals available at speciality events (except popcorn and nachos with cheese). Bathrooms clean. Parking on grounds was difficult because of other events, something to consider if you are going to Saddledlme. Regardless, the Saddledome puts on better smoother events than Edmonton or Vacouver venues.
Still a great venue to watch NHL hockey. Only complaint that beer and food are very expensive.
The fans are rather subdued for a team in first place. It could be the shear openness of the space that makes it a more quiet arena.
The only place in town for concerts and stuff. So, as food as to be expected for a captive audience.
Since I parked a bit away from the Saddledome, I did not suffer from the worst thing, get out of there.
Electrifying ambiance, my team won, not the local one lol
Yes, this is the oldest NHL arena in Canada. Calgary deserves much better. People who feel we don't need a new arena need to travel more. Don't ng the best with what choo got!
Loved the experience. Hated the result of the game.
The staff are great and friendly, couldn't ask for more especially when there are thousands of hockey fans rushing around! The bar staff at Duttons are efficient as well.
They really need to upgrade this place completely from seating arrangements to bathroom access and all parts in between. The seating is cramped, no leg room at all, access to seats require everyone getting up just to either access their seat or to get out. Ridiculous. The bathrooms are a joke, super long line ups and no attendants to maintain them so they get super dirty in a rush. Obviously the planners lacked the intelligence to allow for this. And finally, the food and drink stands are lined up super long due to very low number of servers, maybe these event planners should take some lessons from the Americans who know how to move large amounts of people efficiently. All menu items are extremely high price to boot, for example, a pint of beer is $11. A burger is also $11 and it tastes like sawdust. Coming here is a huge pain and high expense every single time so I only recommend it if you are willing to sacrifice time, money and challenge your sanity.
... get here before the chaos, your reward, happy hour on beers n such ...end 30 minutes before NHL games. Big shout out the the hard working staff keeping things real at the Saddledome, thanks team.
I went here for a Flames playoff game during a layover on a worktrip and me and my coworker had a pretty good time. The arena was relatively clean, as far as sports arenas go, and the bathrooms weren't too bad. Beer was an okay price, about $4 for 16oz. We were sitting near the very top of the stands, but still had an acceptable view of the action.
Unique stadium and excellent energy. I'm hoping to see another flames game soon!
Love the variety of events thus far would love to see an effort put into making the venue more concert friendly, and bring back the food vendor's ! We want variety
Love the arena and team but it's outdated and Calgary deserves better.
Won tickets for the game. Could not believe the line ups for literally everything. It s definitely time for an upgrade from this arena
Enjoyed watching the flames play here. I've been here for a number of concerts as well. A great venue.
Clean, friendly staff, and decent selection for food although it is overpriced.
We attend the Saddledome a lot for Hitmen, Roughnecks and Flames. Great place to watch Calgary sports
I don't see why they want to knock this building down and replace it, it seems fit to purpose for me.
Great views and events. Is getting older but still a great facility.
I'll be sad when this building is retired. Great sight lines make up for bad acoustics and crowded concessions.
Amazing food and space. The rules for photography and video are a bit extreme though
Very old building, lighting sucks very disorganized place.sound system for concerts is poor but the workers do seem nice.
It is always a great experience, from when I enter to when I leave. The food in the restaurant is above par by all means, no matter how you would like it cooked they will make sure it s to perfection. George is probably one of the best servers I have ever had and it s always a pleasure to see him. This alone always makes me want to attend a game!
Line ups can be long to get in and for food and beer, depending on the event.
Lots of parking, fantastic venue for hockey games, concerts, etc. Concession staff ate usually very friendly.
The food here is alright the beers always good but pricey at the same time. Basically come for the amazing atmosphere and great hockey club. Not that good of a start for the Calgary Flames but I can take a guess they ll be hovering around top spot in the pacific just like last year. Great beer good company fantastic hockey!
Go Flames Go. Happy hour is amazing but should add more food selection to the menu
Nice place, really organized and comfortable. Looking forward for a new event there.
All the work toake it clean, all the toilet to scrub..... Can't complain about the care and attention given to the guest expierence. The game on the other hand.....
We got a really good sports team In Calgary this year. Flames. But we really need a new sporting venue to watch the games at. It's over 30 years old, and alot of the other teams have newer arenas that are more advanced inside such as the Oilers in Edmonton. Money does need to be put in so everyone can have a very comfortable setting when watching the games. We also need to get rid of that Western theme too. Our city is way to modern to fit into that age. It's time to move on.
The venue is dated and it for sure shows in various places in the building. Lots of events and shows cannot come here because the old structure cannot support it.
